Dran and Mist - Chapter Two

Mist: We were born to seek something that only we can do...

The renamon stretched luxuriously, wrapping the silk sheets around herself, curling up around the blanket. Though he had been in the same room, getting to sleep without being curled up next to the human had been... Odd. Carpets of rouge spread the ground, walls of white marble hemming in the floorspace. Through the arches that divided the areas she could see into the living space and kitchen, the only space actually cut off by a door being the bathroom. She kicked the sheets off, forcing herself to leave the bed, *These humans sure have it good...* Mist sat on the bedside, staring over to the second, empty and neatly made four poster, Dran's pretty much destroyed tuxedo hanging out over the edge of the bin. She sighed, "A shame... I liked him in that suit." Spread upon his bed were a few objects of interest, the thing that he was always talking into, a black card inscribed 'LastBreath' that he had passed to one of the hotel clerks to allow them entry and also her digivice.

She blinked sleepily, moving over to the bed and examining the screen of the digivice, noting the sound of the shower being switched on in the other room - a clear indication of her companions position. She sat down, placing it back where she found it and picking up his scanner thing. The renamon turned it over in her hands a few times before tossing it into the air idly, fumbling franticly as she failed to catch it, the object falling open on the bed; Dran's voice became audible, "Mission log, first day in the human world." Mist jumped, confused by the recording, "The portal only opened one way, dropping us into a busy Japanese looking street - Its just like home, except that theres only humans and god knows how many species of digimon rather than an assortment of furs..." She picked it up, balancing it on her lap, listening for anything interesting, "I used the card to get us into a hotel, they were right, it does work everywhere - Good to get off the streets, theres so much blood on me that some of the looks we were getting were pretty weird..." She grinned, people had crossed the road to get away from them, "I'll get some new clothes and try this worlds headquarters in the morning..." It ceased for a few moments, already replaced in its original position, "Personal log: The girl that I picked up is still with me." Mist turned, having got up to move away she now ducked down beside it, "Perhaps it's just the fox blood in me but... *sigh*... She says that I'm her 'tamer', whatever that means - it appears to be close to what we experience with pact beasts though. I don't know what to do but to be honest, I'm glad that she's staying with me - I don't think I can go a day without seeing the cute way she blushes whenever we get intimate..." The door opened behind her and she snapped the device shut, cutting him off.

Dran smiled, finishing tying his hair back neatly and spinning a quick three sixty to demonstrate his new Tux, "I guess I just got used to wearing them..." His eyes trailed up to her face, "Something wrong? You're blushing."

Dran lay back, unplugging his scanner from the laptop and attaching an ethernet adapter. He crossed his arms across his chest, basking in the comfort of the three seater sofa. He had spent the morning busily tapping this worlds internet, opening a global search for any trace of LastBreath with his scanner while at the same time accumulating as much data about the dimension as possible. He plucked off a pair of glasses, folding them back into a pocket before turning to face his sleeping partner. For a few hours she had watched, listening to his explanations on what he had found while describing the attributes of any digimon that his search returned, yet after a while her eyelids began to droop and she had curled up next to him, sleeping soundly as her head shuffled against his leg. He smiled inwardly, *At least she's getting some sleep: She was awake most of last night...* He picked up his scanner, tapping a few keys as a point of interest flashed up, dropping it onto his lap as he let it self search. There were a few moments of silence as he watched her murmur something indistinguishable in her sleep before the scanner came to life, beeping its shrill alert message before he could shut it up.

Mist yawned, raising her head groggily before rolling onto her back and looking up at her tamer, head on his lap, "You..." She yawned again, "Find something?"

Dran dropped his gaze from the chandelier and placed it on her, trying not to make an 'all your base - we get signal' joke; tapping a few keys from the corner of his vision before replying, "It's reading some trace of Arc's presence... That should be headquarters." He grinned, "You sleep well?"

Mist snorted, sitting up properly and leaning against him to survey the screen. It was all clumps of some unknown lexis to her yet she liked giving the human the idea that she could understand the device, "Very well... Where is the signal?"

"A few miles further along the waterfront." She leaned closer as he displayed a map, their current position and that of the source upon a series of roads and alleyways. Her chest was brushing against his left hand as her head obscured his view, *Must... Resist... Urge... To... Grope...*

Thankfully she lay back, blinking the remainder of sleep from her eyes before noting the screen of the laptop. Instantly she moved to it, bending over infront of Dran and studying the screen. His eyes widened, granted unexpectedly a full view, pinkness just about visible as the fur failed to over this angle; tail raised slightly and swaying as she tried to decipher the series of images and text, "So we just have to go here... It's like how a bird must see..."

"Fwah..." Dran tried to look away, mouthing 'holy shit' before realising that he had a more immediate problem, *Oh god... Don't get a hard on, don't get a hard on, don't get a... Dammit!* Unable to come up with any other solution, he shifted (His teleport ability) to the bathroom door, the loud sound making her wheel around in surprise as he called over his shoulder, "I just gotta take care of something!"

Mist chuckled as he slid through the door, facing away from her the entire time. She fell back onto the sofa, putting her feet up, muttering to herself, "You need to admire his self restraint..." She pulled her legs up to her chest, "I guess I've already figured things out myself... I'm in heat and he is - he is... Different."

The rain came in heavy sheets of freezing white, illuminated briefly by the night neon city lighting before slamming into the ground to flow into the already overworked drainage system. The sea raged against the barrier, crashing against it, a small overflow edging onto the road each time: The river of lights, the cars, taking little notice as they sped on. Both humans and digimon hurried along the waterfront pavements, taking advantage of the cuts through shopping centers and the small overhangs that provided some dry space to walk in. Between the myriad of shops, bars, restaurants and other such establishments ran a labyrinth of alleyways, steam venting from the sides of buildings, lights shining over dustbins through misted windows, all scents lost to the rain. Dran straightened up, a chain clasped in his right hand, sweeping his fringe away with his left to remove the accumulated water, returning the scanner to his pocket, "This is it!" He shouted over the thunder, "This is what the scanner led to!" Turning now to survey her, his face contorted as he noticed her shivering, removing his jacket and throwing it to her as he slid the pendant into his pocket. Placing an arm around her, ignoring protests that she was fine in fur alone he steered her into the front porch of the nearest building, the pair dripping onto the once dry concrete. He reached into his pocket, withdrawing the item that he had retrieved from the alley, holding it in an outstretched palm. They peered over it; A white-silver cross, perhaps an inch and a half in length, the center inscribed with three arcs, pressed into the metal, crossing over into the TrippleArc insignia of LastBreath. Dran sighed, passing it to the renamon for her to take a look, "It definitely has his mark... I just don't understand why we were led to this rather than headquarters."

She shuffled closer, returning the pendent, "C-Can't we talk about this back at the hotel?" Dran closed the space between them in a stride, folding his arms about her back as she pressed herself into his chest, shaking against him as the storm raged outside their little pocket of closeness.

He smiled, looking down as she squared up the height difference, that same redness in her cheeks that he had become so used to, he could feel her breath on his neck, her muzzle raising, face close enough for him to count every eyelash. Her eyes closed, lips touched his and- there was a rumbling below them, ground shaking as they struggled to maintain balance, an explosion tearing at the earth in the distance, screams and the sound of sirens, gunshots accompanying it. Dran actually raised his fist to the air "Goddammit! Why now? Every single time!"

Those who could fled in the opposite direction, a mob of both humans and digimon fleeing before the creature, even those who would potentially fight cowed by its appearance and power level. The skullgreymon reared, over five stories tall, screaming its battle cries to the heavens, Bones, rather than white, jet black; great raven wings spreading from its back in place of its usual missile, arms mutilated, jagged blades curving downwards to the earth, concrete blasting across the road as it slammed its fist into a nearby tower block, cars skidding into the maelstrom of debris. Two walked towards it, ignoring the crowd that pushed past them, human and renamon staring upwards at the creature. He stepped forwards, clad in a grey jumpsuit, the TrippleArc emblazoned upon his breast as the area began to clear, pulling a greatbow from his back, its black design laced with traces of white. He drew it, a crimson spike of an arrow extending as he did so, releasing the shot at the monster, the projectile curving in the air to blast it in the shoulder having little effect. He bowed low, water pearling in his crew cut as he ran towards the creature, the renamon, a male, beside him, running on all fours as it blasted a diamond storm at the oncoming beast.

The Bio-Angel - Digimon hybrid shifted its attention to them, swinging blindly at the renamon who moved with the attack, grabbing hold of the small section of bone not sprouting a razor edge, swinging up the arm; moving upwards as the human stood before it, firing rapidly, releasing his next arrow while his first was still in the air; backing away as it advanced, smashing into the buildings as it went, roaring and sweeping, enraged at the human. His partner had reached its neck, pushing off, twisting its legs as it went, power paw sweeping across its blank eyes as he span through the air, landing in a neat roll and standing upright next to the human, "Its eyes are down, Xak!" They backed off further as it staggered, sweeping at them, screaming, "Wait! Wha-" He had no opportunity to finish his statement, its tail sweeping across the ground, Xak having enough time to jump over the attack as it slammed his partner into a storefront, the renamon emerging, bleeding heavily as he pulled shards of glass out of himself, taking a step before collapsing to a knee, his tamer ducking beside him, firing arrows at the giant, closing his eyes as it pulled back its arm-

Dran slammed into its chest, the following minor explosion knocking it back a few steps, each footfall a car-crushing crescendo, the following diamond storm from Mist completing the severance of its arm. The limb fell almost in slow motion, cracking the asphalt before resting, its former owner falling backwards, landing back down, sweeping its remaining arm to pull itself upright yet having no opportunity as both man and mon stood on its chest, placing hands and paws over its ribs, twin cries of 'burgundy' and 'diamond storm' tearing through it, arcs of blood spattering the nearby buildings as it was torn apart from within, gore showering the street.

They moved to its side, glancing at each other as police sirens became audible in the distance, turning in unison to run before Dran caught sight of the emblem upon Xak's chest, "L...LastBreath?"

He got to his feet, shouldering the digimon busily ogling Mist, "Correct. I take it that you're Arc's support?"

"Where is everyone else?" He turned as Mist grabbed his arm, cars visible in the distance.

"All dead. You have somewhere that we can talk?"

*****

Dran sighed dejectedly, removing and folding his shirt as he shut off the light, kicking off the the remainder of his clothing before sliding into the bed, down to black boxers. He started as the silence was broken, "Did you find your answers?"

He turned away, dropping his head onto the pillow. After returning to the hotel and checking the other two into the room next door, he and Xak had left the renamon drying off to discuss the current situation. Headquarters had been a massacre, several class two's tearing through their ranks, every Bio-Angel felled replaced by another instantly, only the two in the far entranceway escaping the battle and subsequent slaughter. "I don't want to talk about it."

Mist stared at the back of his head, clear sight in the darkness of the room, "Dran...?" He remained silent, "Are you mad at me?"

"It's not your fault..." He closed his eyes, "I just have too much to think about." *Damn right I do. I got interrupted from potentially making a move on her, to find out that that theres only four of us left against all of the Bio-Angels that came to this dimension... I feel like the cowboy whose used all of his bullets and throws his gun.* Slowly his mind began to wander into that void where one could find sleep, failing to register the shuffle of the bedsheets and the additional weight on the mattress before he felt something warm and furry against his back, an arm folding over his chest. "W-What...?" He could feel a dampness upon her cheek where she was curled against his back, *Tears?*

"I can't sleep properly... When I'm on my own." He had turned, enabling her to pick out his blush through the black. She could feel the tension leave him as he faced her, eyes only able to pick out a silloette.

"About what happened before the fight..." He moved traced a hand along her cheek, lacing it around the back of her neck before lurching forwards, taking the initiative and closing his mouth around hers, the kiss intensifying as she added tongue. Maintaining the engagement, Dran lifted himself, supporting his body with his elbow while tracing his other hand down from her neck, tracing across her chest before closing around a breast, snaking upwards under the fur, tracing it with a skill that already forced her to shiver. He felt the nub stiffen, tracing his hand across her chest to provide the other with attention before breaking lips to instead close his mouth upon one, hand snaking down her stomach, sliding against that velvety fur before sliding against the swolen lips of its target, middle finger slowly pushing in, his first finger soon joining it to provide stimulus as he worked his way down her body, lost in those carnal moans. The blankets had bunched up with him as he moved back, providing him full sight of Mist, looking up from between her legs as his tongue connected with her clit, fur brushed aside, body stiffening as he pumped with additional speed, sliding his lips over her, basking in the high pitched whine as he felt her orgasm squeeze his fingers, the wetness dripping past them as he lapped up what he could.

Recovering almost too fast, she pulled him forward, reaching down and sliding off his boxers before engaging his mouth once again, feeling his weight ontop of her, hand closing on the hard object hovering over her as she spread her legs in preparation, Dran finally registering what the scent surrounding her on the night that her had been watching her and the other days since, *God... She's in heat. Interrupt me now and I swear I'm going on a killing spree...* She was in control now, guiding the tip of his member downwards, unable to fully close her hand about the shaft, almost three inches thick in a central bulge, being about a quarter fox had left him with something almost alike to a knot, a general thickening part way up from the base of his eight inches. The flat head brushed up against its targets, her hand releasing, submission mirrored in her eyes as he made her wait. The renamon shifted her tail impatiently, his slow decent resulting in her taking a sharp breath as the head spread her, the rest of the shaft following it steadily, pausing as it pressed against some barrier. Mist growled as he pushed through, biting back the scream as a quantity of blood pooled below her. After some time, he had finally hilted in her, fur brushing against skin as they pressed together, *And believe me, the full body wax wasn't fun* pulling out to leave just the first few inches before sliding home once more, building a rhythm that she was already adapting too, bucking her hips within their limited range each time they came close, tightness squeezing around him, threatening to force him to come there and then. Dran however persevered, managing to speed up his pace, judging from her groans, the bite marks on her lip that she was getting close, assumptions confirmed as she cried out. He continued to ride her through the orgasm, the additional juices making the ride smoother and eventually resulting in him too finally going over the top, falling back down onto the bed as in effort to remain connected she shifted to lie ontop of him, grinning into his muscled chest. Dran however, was already asleep.

*****

Dran stared off into the horizon, watching the suns first rays shimmer in the now calm sea. The waves lapped gently at the beach, their soft sigh reminding him of trees rustling in a forest. He closed his eyes, laying back on the golden sands, blue sky overhead, black sea barrier behind him, lifting his scanner to his ear, "I had an interesting night to say the least..." He blew out his breath, relaxing to the sound of his voice, "More than enough for me to fill in my side of the old agreement." *Though he's going to be pissed off that I have the opportunity to ask someone to be my mate before he has.* "She wondered in during the night, said something about struggling to sleep without me-"

"I got used to your scent, that's all." He turned, confused as she sat beside him, "I tracked you after I woke up."

*It's not like I'm game or something.* "I don't know a thing about how this world works..." Lying down once more, "Can a human take a digimon as a mate?"

"I don't know." She curled up beside him, enjoying the warmth of the new sun, "But I don't care either."

"You would accept me?"

"Back by that lake... I thought that I had lost you - that we could never see each other again. I don't want to be alone anymore... And you're the one that snatched me from that nightmare." She licked his cheek, "Of course I'll accept."

Dran grinned up at her, blue sky visible behind her head, that familiar blush that he couldn't help but love crossing her cheeks. He lifted his head, still as nervous as that night in the rain, connecting lips, moving his body to shift her onto her back, "Can you head back to the hotel? I need to take care of something."

He picked up his scanphone as she left, staring as her tail swayed seductively. He flipped open the device, smiling as the image of a rather stern looking vixen flickered onto the screen, "Akra... Can you get a message to Rowen? He owes me a drink."

*****

"Hey, Haze." Mist closed the door behind herself, having startled her fellow renamon as she walked back into the hotel room.

He acknowledged her with a nod, looking up from the breakfast counter, knife and fork in hand. He bordered on the same height as Dran, perhaps slightly shorter; a muscular physique and cutting glare marking him as a model of his pack, "Your room has the kitchen so..."

There was a knock at the door, Haze sliding away from his finished breakfast to stand beside her as she opened the door, "Dra-!"

She had no opportunity to finish her welcome. The Bio-Angel raised the gun. And fired.
