#1 of Breaking the Chains of Love

HELLO PEOPLE and ANTHROMORPHS, I'm Emperor Revan. I have been watching Yifftar since 2006, and so finally decided to join, now that I have created what I hope to be an original story/series depending on how it is, I intend to still stay, though I hope to still write too. Other than that I ask that you rate my story, and I also pray that it gets rated well too (fingers crossed), please post replies and the like.

*************************************************************************************

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the digimon franchise; all characters are copyrights of TOEI and their respective companies.

This is an Emperor Revan story: don't take any ideas from me, please use your own ideas like good animals, other than that enjoys the show/reading, or whatever.

It's been thirteen years since that horrible day, the day my parents died in front of my eyes, it happened as their plane was coming in for a landing, next thing I knew a rogue digimon obscured by the night sliced their plane's wings off sending it down in a fiery crash, I was with the ground team, getting ready to hug them as they were to exit the plane, it never happened. You should take note that my mother and father were both prominent members of the International Forbes 500, and Michael, their only son; I was only eight years old at the time. On that same night while I was at home, crying and cursing at that damnable digimon who killed my parents, the power started flicker on and off everywhere in the house. The next thing I knew a vortex appeared above my fireplace, at what is now "Hurst Manor," inside a painting of my mother holding me as a baby, and my father holding her, a smile on his face as his eyes stared into the distance. From the vortex a large velvet colored hand, and I do mean HUGE velvet hand, reached from the abyss out and laid a digi-egg on my sofa. That day my life changed forever. Seven months later the egg hatched, and from it a Viximon emerged, but this one was different, she had emerald eyes, and above each eye crimson lines ran down vertically above each one. Happy that life was given; apart from death that I experienced earlier she began to talk, and then asked what her name was. I simply smiled what little smile I had left and told her it was Vix. Now of note: since Vix was born in the real world she grew as any biological creature would because of the nature of our universe, when her appropriate age came where she was old enough to warrant a different form, energy that her body stored over the course of a few years would be released to enable a slight digi evolution. Afterwards she would simply grow until her next stage, like every other bio-digimon that were the offspring of digimon in the real world, and then evolve again. It was at age nine for her that she once again evolved this time into her Renamon form, but she always had thos crimson lines and emerald eyes, it was what made her unique, and as always she stayed my sweet Vix. Now that introductions are finished, and you know a little of my past, we will skip forward into the present day of 2140, one hundred years after the digital gate was created.

"Master Hurst, Master Hurst, it's time to wake up," said an elderly man with no hair wearing a gentleman's suite. "The time is 10:30 am, the skies are sunny, and if you have not forgotten your 21st birthday."

"My God," Michael thought, "Am I really 21 today, where did the time go?"

"Thank you Frederick, I'm getting up now," Michael stated, still a little sleepy.

"Very well sir, I believe you might want to dress casual today, the board members at Hurst Tech. won't need you today," with a neutral tone as always.

Surprised Michael turned to Frederick, "Why did something happen." he said.

"Oh, no sir, the first should be obvious, it is your birthday," he said with one of his rare smiles he would give when he was truly happy. "And the second is that Hurst Tech's stock jumped 13 points, and my reports say it's still on the climb."

"Well then, I guess my presence really isn't needed after all, thank you for the information Frederick, you may leave," Michael said with a wave of his hand. With that Frederick turned around and left, closing the door behind him.

Michael proceeded out of his bed and went to a closet door; the significant thing about this closet is that you could walk in it; for the entire closet was a whole separate room. Once inside he would perform his morning routine, making sure he was in shape and his that he had all his belongings. He stood a good six feet one inches and had a six pack of abs, his total weight came to 190 pounds, which his personal trainers said was normal for his body build, finally he looked at his face, a strong and handsome face with black hair with red highlights running down them at random spots. His most favorite feature though was his eyes. They were his mothers' bedroom eyes, because they were known to change color depending on his mood, and today they were a hazel blue, as they should because he felt very good today.

After looking in the mirror Michael proceeded to throw on his favorite pair of black baggy pants, that continued various metal holes in it as well as a silver chain, he added, to hold onto the only memento of his fathers, a silver pocket watch, that had always belonged to all of the eldest sons of the Hurst family. Next he proceeded to put on a dark green shirt which read "Happy" on the front, and then his black hiking boots. Now that he was dressed he proceeded to his mirror again, took a comb from a nearby drawer, along with gel, and fashioned his hair so that it created a spike effect going horizontally away from his head, so that the red in his hair looked as though it were a river of blood, running through a very dark night.

Finished with his grooming, he opened the door to his room and left. There outside waiting were the two maids, Jill and Marisa, who always waited for the young sir to leave his room so they could tidy it up. Michael said hello to the two and went down stairs from his room on the third floor of Hurst Manor to the lobby. Once in the foyer he went through a side door to his left and went into the kitchen where he was met by Frederick again.

"Master Hurst, today's breakfast consists of blue berry pancakes, bacon strips, and tangerine slices," Frederick said with a bow.

"Thank you Frederick, I will enjoy this very much," he said sitting down, "Any idea where Vix is?" No sooner than he said her name a loud crash came from upstairs on the third floor. Michael could hear Marisa the maid yelling.

"Vix you little brat stop running," in reply Vix could be heard saying.

"Aw you're no fun," and with that she jumped off the railing from the third floor to the first. A slight scream could be heard, but it quickly went away as Marisa the maid knew full well that Vix would land on both feet, and without a scratch. This is precisely what happened, and from there Vix went into the kitchen where she spotted her tamer Michael.

"Michael!" the little Renamon said as she ran up and hugged him around the neck, "Happy Birthday," she then proceeded to kiss him on the cheek and then spun around curtsying.

"Do you like my outfit? I picked it out just for you?"

Vix, who was now twelve years old, stood four feet and five inches tall, she, along with many other digimon, were prone to earth's universal biology; meaning they had to grow into their next form, unlike their cousins in the digital world who could simply evolve into them as time went by. Michael noticed that Vix was wearing a black frilled skirt that went down to her knees today, along with a sleeveless shirt with the cartoon of an alien that looked like Zim standing on Earth with a thumb up. The ordinary gauntlets that Renamon were associated with wearing were instead replaced with fingerless gloves that went up to her elbow, showing her three digits on each hand. On her left wrist she wore five of her favorite bracelets, and on her right ear two ruby encrusted earrings, one on the lower part of her ear, and the second near its' tip.

Michael was taken aback at how beautiful she looked, he then said to her, "Looking mighty hot today Vix, ready you and me to some have fun today," he said, blushing as he realized that he told her she was hot, where upon he sat back down in his chair and shoved a piece of his pancake in his mouth.

"Yeah, I'm raring and ready to go, go, go," she said in an exited manner. "What should we do then? Take a walk on the grounds, go fishing out by the lake, ride some of the horses, or maybe some quail hunting?"

Michael smiled, looked up and said, "How about we go to the city and do whatever we want, no bars down?" Her emerald eyes widened and she jumped across the table and gave Michael the hardest hug she could muster, they both laughed, sat back down at the table and proceeded to think and talk of the things they would do while eating their meals.

Once done they said their good mornings and good-byes to Frederick and thanked him for the breakfast which he replied, "It is my honor to serve, and do take care Master Hurst, have a lovely evening."

Michael waved goodbye, and with Vix next to him proceeded to walk towards a house that was surprisingly his garage. Once inside they were greeted by José the garage's head mechanic.

"Buenos días, how are you doing today Mr. Hurst, Vix?" said a large tanned man, clad in a white shirt, and overalls stained in grease and oil, smiling.

"Very well, I have the day off, so I decided that Vix and I would go into the city and have a bit of fun," Michael responded.

Hearing this José smile widened, and said, "Not from what I hear sir, I hear today is your birthday, 21 if I'm right, yes?"

Laughing Michael shyly said, "Oops found out, truth be told I forgot about it until Frederick told me, so I said to myself, "What the hell," might hit up a bar tonight and try out some drinks."

"Ha-ha-ha well sirs, as long as you take it easy and come home safe, then have a wonderful time," José said. "Since you're going, might I recommend you go in style too," José said with a smirk on his face, next thing Michael knew some of the other mechanics took off a cover tarp from one of Michaels' many other cars. What lay underneath was what Michael had been searching everywhere for two years for, it was a 2005 mint conditioned Nissan 350Z.

"José, where did you find it?" Michael said running to the car with Vix in tow.

"Whoa," was all that Vix was able to formulate her mouth to say.

"Well Mr. Hurst, remember those emergency funds you set up for the garage to use if anything fell into disrepair?" Michael nodded his head in reply to this, "Well a buddy of mine found it in a Brazilian scrap yard, he called me and asked if I was interested in purchasing it, I told him yes on the spot, a few months later while you and Vix were away, I brought it in, and Bam, me and the guys fixed it up. Afterwards Michael thanked José and the team for all their hard work and effort for making this a great birthday present. He along with Vix then hopped into the car and headed down the manors private road then the front gate, out to the highway.

"That was very nice of José and the team finding this old relic and sprucing it up for you as a birthday present," Vix said, as she snuggled into the brand new seats.

"Sure is," Michael said, "Well now that we're on our way, where should we go?"

"Oh, how about the mall, we haven't been there in ages?" Vix said with much needed enthusiasm.

"That's not a bad idea, okay then, we'll go, anyways I've been meaning to pick up something from Tiffany's for quiet some time now," he remembered the custom order he placed nearly month ago when he was last there. Vix surprised that Michael had something to pick up at the mall; no less Tiffany's became intrigued.

"What is it, a gift for some girlfriend of yours?" Vix said a hint of envy, and very little disappointment in her voice.

"What, no, well sort of, just put it out of mind, let's talk about something else," Michael said looking at Vix thinking how beautiful she looked today, the wind coursing through her fur, since the top of the car was down.

Vix at the same time smiled, and thought to herself how lucky she was to have Michael as a tamer as well friend, if only it could be something more.

Afterwards the rest of the trip was filled with the laughter of jokes, and small talk about world affairs on how ever since humanity had built the Gate, a one hundred and thirty-two years ago. With the Gate built, all humans now worked for the betterment of mankind, along with their digimon counterparts. War and disease were virtually eliminated, though the occasional violence with criminals still required some type of law enforcement in the world.

Forty-five minutes later the car rounded a corner of a large amount of trees, on the other side in the horizon, the sun directly up top, as it was noon, stood the D.W.G.C (Digital World Gate Control) government corporate office. Standing 60 stories tall and located in the heart of the city New Eden Torii (Torii is Japanese for gate;) ) it was truly a site to behold as it dwarfed all other buildings in the area like a giraffe would among herd of cows.

Now Vix never liked the D.W.G.C building, ever since she was dropped on the couch as an egg thirteen years ago, she hated the place, as various experiments were conducted on her the first month of her life, after she hatched, not to mention the time she still resided in the egg. She remembered the whispers of researchers saying how she was the first bio-digimon to be partnered in such a manner; other than other bio-digimon choosing of their own accord and instinct, and how it was like she was destined to be with Michael, not that she regretted it at all, and secretly she thanked what ever sovereigns or gods existed that she was paired with such a wonderful, and handsome young human.

"Wow, it never seems to loose the ability to amaze me how much everything looks so small compared to it, eh Vix," Michael said with wonderment, staring.

Coming out of her daze she said droll fully "Yeah, wonderful." Casting aside he negative attitude, for it only made her feel bad she quickly said, "Well come on slow poke, lets get going, the mall awaits, lets see what this bad boy can do."

Michael laughing said, "Alright, alright, I'm going; buckle up, I'm going full speed," put the car it into 4th and sped off toward the mall, easily doing 120 m/ph.

The mall stood three stories tall, with over 150 different stores housed within its' confines, anything you ever wanted to find was there waiting for you to buy. In the empty field next to it, was a traveling carnival of gypsies. "Oh Michael look a fair ground lets go after we finish with the mall," adding with a "PLEASE," right in his ear, just like a three year old would do.

"Alright, don't worry we will, remember we have plenty of time left, it's barely past noon Vix," Michael said looking at the dashboard clock.

Soon afterwards they went along pass the carnival, and found a parking spot in front of the entrance. Getting out of the car Michael began to speak, "Now Vix, I'm going to Tiffany's first to pick up that item, so how about we meet back here in, oh say an hour?" A bit of anticipation in his voice.

"Okay, be back in an hour," Vix said looking at one of her bracelets that contained a watch. With that she turned her heels and ran off in the opposite direction into the mall, her skirt flailing as she ran.

Michael admiring the view of her voluptuous butt swaying back and forth, thought to himself, "God she's beautiful, if only I had the nerve to tell her how I truly feel about her now, as a woman, AH, but that would just scare her, she'd probably stop being my friend and partner, guess I should keep it to myself," as he started to the third floor for Tiffany's.

Meanwhile Vix rounded the corner where she took off, and then slowed down to a walk so as she wouldn't run into anyone or their digimon. It was always nice to see tamers and their partners, she would think. She usually didn't get to see her own kind much, as none of the other personnel at Hurst Manor had no digimon, this was a great reprieve for her as she waved and smiled at tamers and their digital partners; all of them clad in different clothing but not quite as unique as hers.

As she continued walking she reflected on the conversation of the item Michael had to pick up.

"Who could it be for, it couldn't be a girlfriend, he tells me everything, and not once has he mentioned anyone like that. And what about that (sort of yes answer) he said," her brain wracking for an answer she didn't have.

Her train of thought was thrown off as she passed Victoria's Secret, and remembering she was running low on herbal shower gel, when she entered the store, soon after a sly smile formed on her lips, as an idea popped into her mind.

Michael eventually arrived at Tiffany's and he entered, he approached a blonde headed woman wearing a black and white business dress who looked to be in her mid thirties, behind a counter. He soon afterwards recognized her as the general manager of the store, her name was Helene if he recalled correctly.

"Ah Mr. Hurst welcome back to Tiffany's, we have been worried that you would not return, the item you custom ordered, is a week and a half overdue for pickup," she said with a smile pleasantly.

He then began to run his hand through his hair and scratching it a little and said, "Yeah, work has been a little busy, I lost track of time, but now since it's my birthday, and I have the day off, I said to myself, "Why not pick it up while I'm here,"."

"Oh, then happy birthday to you sir," she said reaching under the counter and producing a long but thin embroidered box saying "Tiffany's" on it, "here you go, the cost comes to sixty five thousand dollars," Helene said as Michael pulled out his platinum debit card, knowing full well he could easily afford it.

Swiping the card and finishing the transaction Helene again spoke "May I say Mr. Hurst that these must be he best pieces of jewelry I have seen in a long time, this lady of yours' must be real important to you?"

"Yes," this time blushing heavily, "She really is, and I would protect her, and love her with my entire being and more if the opportunity were to ever arrive," he said.

"Well I hope it never comes to that Mr. Hurst, and I do hope that she will love you in return after seeing this, good luck and happy birthday again," Helene said envying young love.

As he walked away with parcel in hand only one thought ran through his head, "I can only wish she would love me."

An hour went by which Vix spent buying various clothing from Victoria's Secret and Hot Topic, while at the same time Michael read an article in Science's "Technology Today" to sum up the competition for this quarters' sale for Hurst Tech. Eventually they met back at the entrance, Vix a couple of pounds heavier with clothing, and Michael, a slight blush and large smile on his face.

"Vix get enough clothes?" Michael said eying the four large bags she had.

"Yep, they're all for me, thanks to the credit card you gave me last year for Christmas." she beamed at him. "How about you did you get that thing from Tiffany's," she said her ears drooping a bit.

"Oh, yeah, um Vix could you set those things down for a moment and close your eyes for me," Michael said looking at the ceiling to hide his nervousness.

Vix caught off guard by this replied as normal as she could, "Yeah."

Setting her clothes down and her eyes closed her then began to feel hands reach around and brush the fur on her shoulders and back, and then she felt the warmth of metal hit her chest and a small click followed afterward.

"Okay you can open them," Michael said.

With that she complied and took hold of what was against her chest and looked at it. Her eyes widened at what she saw. It was a pendent made from obsidian (i.e. volcanic glass), as dark as space. On the fringe of it were dozens of rubies encircling the entire pendent, with a large emerald cut into a sphere at it's' center. The most notable fact was that a dragon was wrapped around the emerald, but it was no ordinary dragon, it was Azulongmon the Digital Sovereign of the East. She looked up at Michael, about to cry, when she saw him holding up his left hand. On his ring finger, rested an exact replica of her pendent, but this one took the form of a ring.

"Here is the best part," he said taking hold of her pendent.

As he put his ring to her pendent both of the Azulongmon slithered around and the emeralds moved slightly to the left, secret compartments in both the ring and the pendent opened up. Inside each were painted pictures of them both, as well as the word "Friend" emblazoned in gold below the rendered paintings.

"How do you like it Vi-," but before he could finish her name she leapt up onto him, wrapped her hands around his shoulders and kissed him. Everyone around them along with their digimon stopped watching the love being shared between the human and renamon, soon ignoring this strange public display of emotion.

When she was finished she dropped down to her feet, small gentle streams of tears ran down her face.

"It's beautiful, Oh Michael I was so nervous when you said you had to pick up something from Tiffany's, I thought it was some girl who stole you away from me," she slightly bellowed out. "I was afraid that you and I would not get to stay friends anymore, because you would be so wound up in impressing her.

Now looking back up smiling she said, "But now I can see that the person you were talking in the car about must have been me."

"There's no getting by you is there Vix, remember I will always be with you, I could never abandon you," his eyes shining as blue as they were before. "I hope you like the pendent," he later said.

"Like it, I love it," she blurted out, "I'll cherish it forever, I'll never lose it, I promise, I'll take it with me to my deletion, or whatever." Sincere and honest at what she said.

After looking at each other they began to laugh as vix's crying was over, Michael then proceeded to ask Vix a question.

"Well now, that that is done, what do we have in these bags here Vix?"

He proceeded to open one of them, but was met with a little pain as Vix popped his had with her tail.

"No you don't get to look, these are for my eyes only, you know girl stuff." she said as Michael rubbed his hand slightly, faking that she hurt him.

"Aww, but did you have to hit my hand," he said childishly.

"Stop whining crybaby," she smiled at him, then saying "Let's go."

They then took off back into the mall where they spent two more hours shopping. In that time they bought more clothes, shoes, toured Best Buy while buying some anime, and games, and then went towards the exit. They then exited the mall and went to the car where they took all their new gear and put it in the trunk and what little backseat there was.

"Finally, I can feel the blood back in my hands," Michael said rubbing them both, since he took it upon himself to carry everything, except the bags Vix had.

"Ah poor baby," Vix cooed rubbing his cheek, "Now that our hands are free, how about we go to," she then again spun around and pointed saying, "The CARNIVAL!"

When she turned around she realized Michael was not behind her, but rather in front of her, walking towards the carnival.

"Well come on slow poke, I thought all renamon were supposed to be fast?" Michael said sarcastically.

"Oh, why you," she said racing toward him; in the process of chasing him she took a quick glance at his butt and thought to herself, "Nice ass."

Putting her little dirty thoughts behind she soon reached her destination, which was Michael's left arm, and took hold of it, cuddling against his smooth arm.

This made Michael smile and say, "So far this has turned out to be a great day, feels like nothing could go wrong."

Sadly, unknown to either Michael or Vix, two pairs of violet eyes were watching them. This did not exclude the fact that an elderly gypsy and her wizardmon took notice of an eerie feeling, focused on top of a young man, Michael, and his renamon,Vix, as they sat underneath a tent, in front of a pulsing crystal ball.
