TEXT: The sand shifted gently as Six moved slowly through it, snuffling here and there for nibbles. He hummed pleasantly to himself, tiny wisps of flame escaping him to lick at the tall, dry grass as he found and lapped up the fallen berries happily. He rustled his spines in the cool breeze, the last rays of red sun dappling through the blades, tickling his short, soft fur. The little sandlava raked his claws through the roots of grass clumps to find skittish insects, crunching them up with a grin. "Mm. Nom nom... Ooh!" His attention was caught by something moving in the shadows of the caves above him. He rocked onto his hind legs to watch, curiosity at the forefront as always. -Up on a ledge, the dark, slender figure crouched comfortably on his haunches, looking out across the windblown dunes with a sigh. There were things out there... So many different things. To learn, see, explore, experience. If only he could bring himself to care. He reached up and scratched the fur between his horns with a faint yawn. He wasn't depressed exactly... He just wasn't interested in anything these days. He had the occasional campfire debate with one of his clan mates but that was about it. Nothing was worth the effort, he felt. Or perhaps he was philosophising too much again. He shrugged and stood slowly, cracking the knuckles on his long fingers as he turned to walk back to the dusty woods that bordered the cliff top caves. -A sensitive nose twitched as Six looked up at the disappearing creature. His curious, expressive face was still thoughtful as he made his nimble way up the narrow path chiselled into the side of the cliff, lighting the small fire at the back of his cosy cave and curling up next to it. * * * Tiny sandy burmies tripped along the ground of the cave, one of them accidentally crawling over the delicate nose of a particular little sandlava. Six yawned and opened his eyes, lifting his head from his paws and looking around sleepily. He sneezed once or twice before clambering to his paws and padding to the entrance of the cave, stretching out with a luxurious churr. Oh how he did love the sunrise! He sat with a flump and watched it crawl above the horizon, dark pelt rippling as the last dregs of night-time chill seeped from him slowly. The soft eyes blinked a little, sharp teeth flashing amber as he yawned with a tiny whine. Today was going to be a good day. -The camp was beginning to stir. A dark, wiry body sat perched on a tree branch, watching the proceedings with sharp, intelligent eyes. He had not slept in what felt like forever, and yet he refused to entertain the idea. There were thoughts... Buzzings and clickings in his mind that kept him alert, observant. He cracked his knuckles again (this being a habit and preoccupation of his), attracting the attention of a short, lithe figure below him. The pale female ceased attending to her bedroll and moved to place both forepaws on the tree trunk. "Hello, stranger." Purred a smooth, honeyed voice. The dark male visibly flinched. "Oh... Jenah... I was just, er... What do you want?" "I'm just saying hello..." A light bleat of laughter. "But if you can't be civil..." Her eyes lit up in a playful grin. He swallowed and looked silently out over the dunes, feeling slight nausea in the pit of his stomach. "Oh." The disappointment was obvious. "Alright then. I'll just go and get ready." She brightened a little. "Hardoon by dusk!" Her enthusiasm elicited no response, however, so she sighed and turned to continue packing up. Blank eyes still fixed on the horizon, the male ran a paw over his ears, the silver fur there flashing as they sprang back into place. He flicked them back and forth, a small chuckle escaping him as he amused himself imagining how that would look to another. The mirth was short-lived though, replaced by a thoughtful frown and then the customary unreadable expression. -Pounce! Snuffle. Crawl. Scritch. Wriggle. Out among the grasses, one tiny sandlava was having the time of his life. He had all but forgotten about the dusky figure on the cliff, lost in his own world of tasty bugs and stubborn grasses. Heavy claws took care of the latter, an agile tongue and persistence the former. He nudged at rocks with his nose, grunting and snorting as he went determinedly about the business of play. -The camp was almost completely gone now, rolled and strapped and folded away, ready for transporting. A large, heavy male stood in the centre of the clearing and let out a low bellow. "Come on, shut up all of you!" he called out somewhat fondly. The entire clan turned to look at him respectfully. Older females and younger, their suckling children and wild young scampers, their sires and those yet to be mated... All faced their leader with attentive and happy faces. "Today is a good day." He began. "It is a day of joy and of companionship. By dusk tonight we will be in the great forest halls of Hardoon!" A cheer went up but was quickly hushed. "We have worked hard and lost many great furs to finally reach the home of our ancestors, the home that sent us on our separate ways so very long ago. You..." his dark eyes met each and every one of theirs, "you have sacrificed so much. And now we shall be rewarded in kind, a hundred times over! Pick up your young ones, harness your beasts... it is time to move out!" With that he turned and walked steadily towards the mountains, the entire clan following excitedly in his steps. It was later, much later, that a stirring came from a tree on the edge of the clearing. The angular male was a silhouette in the deepening dusk as he swung down and landed lightly on the ground below the ash, looking down to see his paws planted in the centre of the faint indentation left by a bedroll. A scrap of something caught his eye and he bent down to retrieve it. "Huh..." Luminescent eyes studied the slightly damp shred of silk until it became too dark to see the colour of it any longer. His forepaw uncurled, dropping the pathetic reminder emotionlessly behind him as he padded off to the edge of the cliff to watch the last few rays of sunshine desperately cloy at the horizon, gradually bleeding away to leave him in a sparkling, monochrome world. -For the fourth time that night, the sturdy critter shifted and flopped around trying to return to slumber. He usually slept well... Six sighed and wandered over to the mouth of the cave, sniffing deeply as he always did. He squeaked, his body frozen mid-stretch, and pricked his silky ears forward, hackles and spines stiffening. Some... /thing/ was out there... The shadow remained unmoving but as his eyes adjusted they confirmed what his nose had told him - the animal was at least part canine. /Wolf/ to be precise. He stood quietly for a moment, watching it. There was no doubt it - He sniffed. /He/. There was no doubt /he/ knew that Six was there but he did not seem at all fazed. Heavily padded paws carried the sandlava closer. Still no reaction. He gruffed slightly, a low but friendly sound in the crisp air. Slowly the sharp muzzle turned in his direction, pale eyes finding, and fixing on, his face. He breathed in sharply, quills rustling softly. The creature was jet black, smooth fur flowing from the silver ears down his back to end in a sweeping tail. He mentally shook himself before walking over to sit a short distance away, nodding quietly to his silent cliff top companion. At closer range, he could see the wiry build more clearly. A little on the scrawny side, true, but not weak. -The canine was doing some summing up of his own, only his was more analytical. Although the sturdy animal so blatantly studying him had a low profile on all fours, it was not minute by any means. A sturdy, flexible build... Powerful. Still, he dismissed it as a threat almost at once. There was only curiosity in its easy stance, the quivering of its spines, and the open, expressive face. He wasn't sure at first if it was feral or not, although he doubted it. He had heard of wild-built furs before but never encountered one. This peaked his interest slightly. He held out his forepaw, fingers spread, in a gesture of trust. Six tilted his head questioningly, wanting to be sure that the paw was doing what he thought it was. When it didn't move, he went over and nudged it playfully, looking up at the glittering eyes with his maw slightly open in a smile. One paw came up to bat gently at the digigrade extremity, resting there for a moment. His paws quite large for his size, almost as big as those of the bipedal stranger. They both suddenly became acutely aware of the fact that they were within reach of another, retreating into themselves again, heads turned towards the diffused light on the horizon. They sat like that until even the crickets stopped chirping, limbs growing stiff and cold. Eventually Six nudged at the shaggy side and lead the way into the cave, rekindling the fire (much to the indignation of a group of burmies that had been playing in the ashes) and stretching out alongside it. His guest settled on his haunches on the opposite side, looking quietly into the flames. As the little sandlava drifted off into a deep sleep, pearlescent eyes moved to watch him curiously, following the curve of the muscular shoulder, the small movements the quills made as they settled... The night faded and passed but still they held their places by the fire, the solid figure slumped and relaxed, the slender one introspective. Six rolled onto his back, stretching and yawning comfortably. A movement caught his eye and he grinned to himself. He was in a silly mood. He flopped over onto his paws and wandered up to the wolf, who faced him blankly. Nudge. Nudge... Nnnudge. He pushed until he got a growl and a questioning look from the long-limbed male. Shaking out his quills, he churred lightly. "Hungry?" The only response was a short shake of the silky head. "Mnh, suit yourself." He rippled the smooth muscles along his back and padded amiably out of the cave and down the jagged path to begin his daily ritual of feeding and playing among the grasses. -It was quiet in the cave, and warm. Uncurling from his crouch, the lean canine found he could only just stand if he bent forward a bit. He shrugged and dropped to all fours, leaving the cave to blink in the sunlight, shaking his fur out slightly as the rays tickled his thin frame. He looked around, noticing the cave was low enough to scramble up onto and doing exactly that, perching comfortably on the very edge. He could just see his host for the night from up here, tumbling and scruffeling about in the dunes. He could leave now, he thought, but that idea didn't seem to appeal. It was comfortable here. He hadn't been sure why he had stayed when the rest of the clan had gone. All his life he'd been taught of Hardoon as if it were paradise - the lost world where happiness and contentment flowed like light through everyone and the days were never cold or wet. He hadn't really believed any of it... he didn't think. Ah well. He had stayed for a reason and it was slowly dawning on him that he might like it here. He thought briefly of Jenah, wondered if she would miss him. They had been nothing, really. And then they had also been everything. If you have nothing but nothing is all you have, that nothing soon becomes your everything. He wasn't sure... She had never appealed to him. Not in the way he saw other males showing behind her back. He didn't really understand it all, honestly. He sat and rifled through his mind, eyes vaguely pointed in the direction of the playful sandlava, and the day seeped away. -The last few leaps up the sandy cliff brought him to right near the cave entrance and he bounded in, still hyper from his day. The fire was out and the wolf creature nowhere to be seen. He paused for a moment of disappointment before shrugging and lighting the fire, sinking onto his belly, nibbling his paws lazily. It was a while before he heard movement outside the cave, small ears flicking as he recognised the patter of his acquaintance. He licked his nose and watched as the limber canid folded himself into the cave, moving over to sit next to the fire. This was the first time Six had seen him even mildly relaxed. He grinned and wriggled slightly in greeting, gaining a slight tail-swish in response. His eyes lingered a while, taking in the silvery throat and ears, admiring how they contrasted with the ebony coat. He churred softly, moving over to stand in front of the seated visitor, resting on his hind legs. A curious paw went out to touch the little horns that curved backwards just a fraction, pale and smooth - like his eyes. The sandlava looked down at the eyes in question as he stroked at the point of a horn. "They're neat..." he commented in a sweet voice. Slowly the eyes looked up to meet his and he noticed they were like opals - shifting and undefined. He liked the effect. It was rather hypnotic... The stroking paw moved behind the silky wolf ears, tugging and rubbing gently as his breathing slowed. There was something about this creature... The black hybrid sat still and unresisting as he felt the paw explore his head, follow the curve of his neck and throat. He grunted softly, surprising himself at his reaction. His own dextrous forepaws reached out to brush padded fingers along the solid shoulder, tracing the curve to his side and lingering there. He felt a soft thump on his chest and found the second sandlava paw resting there, the heat where they touched unbelievable. He recalled the powerful fur's fire abilities and worried briefly but the sensations beginning to work their way along his spine overruled any doubts he might have. Six leaned in closely to nibble slowly along the soft neck, churring and licking as he did so, smiling inside as he felt the effect his attentions were starting to have on his new friend. He moved forward until he was almost in the dark lap, one paw behind the neck as he teased with his teeth and tongue, the other slipping down the silvery chest to play with the pale fur there, scritching gently. Rumbling and arching into those soft paws, his partner dug his fingers into the downy fur at the base of the stout quills, easing any itches he might find there, head back as his sensitive neck was subjected to the sandlava's mischievous maw. A small welp escaped him as he felt his host settle into his lap, soft belly fur rubbing along his swelling shaft and causing him to shiver almost imperceptibly. The sturdy Pokémon leaned against the hard chest, eyes closed as he nuzzled and churred softly. He knew the effect he was having and it brought a tiny smirk to his muzzle. He pulled back to look into those lucent eyes, distant but shifting with internal goings-on. He tilted his head slightly, moving his dark paw lower down to stroke at the furred sheath. The wolf-creature blinked before looking down and away with a low growl, pressing his sharp snout to the firm shoulder and nipping sharply. He was rewarded with a gasp and shudder from the little sandlava, making him sniff and lick the bite softly. His instincts were starting to kick in. He hadn't felt this way often but something about the fiery glow of the cave, the insane warmth coming from the strong body pressed against his... He snarled softly and surged forward, pushing the surprised creature onto his back and looming over him with a strange light in his eyes. Six squirmed and gaped up at the rangy male whose teeth were suddenly a little too close to his face for his liking. He liked the spirit though... Oh yes. This was going to be fun. With a short screech of sandlava mock-anger, he curled up so his quills enveloped him, taking advantage of the canine's instinctive flinching to bowl him over with his compact body, sending him sprawling in the grit of the cave floor. Barely pausing to notice the look of surprise, he clamped his jaws over the long neck, ignoring any efforts by his victim to fight back. His gentle, toothless hold eventually did its job and the horned head fell back as the struggling creature passed out. -The world was blurred at first, hazy. He shook his head to clear it, seeing the curious face of his dark-furred companion looking up at him. A crick in his back urged him to stretch but he found that he couldn't. His arms were tightly bound behind him, ankles similarly restrained. He growled and looked around angrily. "You tried to eat me." The sandlava didn't seem particularly bothered by this fact. A flinch as the newcomer recalled the events of a short while ago. "I'm sorry..." he began hoarsely. Six smirked and chuckled low. "Don't be. I can take care of myself." There was a sheen to his eyes that the wolf wasn't sure he liked the look of. "Of course..." the cave-dweller began after an uncomfortable pause, "I will untie you if you promise to behave." A nod. "Eventually..." His smirk grew wicked and he tilted his head adorably. " First I want some fun." He was between the long legs and licking teasingly at the bound fur's chest within moments. The dark wolf paws curled and flexed as he shivered under the hot tongue, quickly realising the feelings from earlier had not quite faded. When the sandlava ran his paw up one shaggy thigh and over his silky balls he groaned and growled under his breath, caught between the desperate desire to escape and his fast growing base urges. He was breathing erratically now, the powerful body between his legs stirring unspeakable corners of his mind, gasping as the rounded snout nudged at his now rigid member through the sheath. This brought on another groan and he saw the sandlava smile smugly before sending his flexible tongue dipping inside to lap at the throbbing member, murring at the salty taste. He squirmed and tensed, held in place by his restraints, unable to escape the almost painful sparks that made him breathe in sharply every time he felt hot, wet flesh flick out over his incredibly sensitive tip. Six rubbed at the sheath gently, pulling it down to take the glistening member within delicately into his muzzle, lowering his head until he had half the length inside of him, coughing a little at the strong musk leaking from the tip. He frowned at himself, determined to finish what he had started. Slowly he began to bob his silky head up and down, gradually pushing further and further down, smiling around the hard rod wedged in his maw as it stretched his throat. He moaned softly, loving the tight fit and breathing heavily through his nose. This was what he had needed, wanted, for a long time... The horned male squirmed and growled protestingly. This was too fast, too much. He couldn't be here, doing this. Not now, not like this. He couldn't come up with any response to the questions where, when and how, however. This realisation hit him like a rock and he slumped, giving in to the determined sandlava with a sighing groan. The warm, wet mouth did feel really good, he had to admit. And his skin tingled wherever their fur brushed together. His mind started to relax, letting go of the last shreds of resistance. What was the point, anyway? Small flames flickered over his quills as the quadruped slurped and teased happily. Soon, though, he started to feel a different kind of need. The stirring between his hind legs increased as his victim finally stopped fighting what was happening, leaning back against the cave wall with a sigh. He pulled off the pulsing flesh slowly, careful not to hurt either of them, and raked his hungry eyes over the wiry body beneath him. His own member began to ache as he took in the silky fur and passive expression of his visitor. And that tail... He reached under the jet-furred rear to grasp at the base of the sleek appendage, tugging it around until its owner understood what he wanted. There was a faint welp of surprise from the wolf but he allowed himself to be rolled over, looking back with a mixture of desire and apprehension in his eyes. Finally seeing some real feeling coming from those unreadable orbs only spurred Six on and he stroked the long, fluffy tail slowly, snuffling at it, before moving it aside to examine the long thighs and tight rump under his paws. The dripping, straining member between his legs told him that he wanted this more than he had wanted anything in a long time. Moving back to untie the slender ankles, he curled up and licked at himself briefly, taking advantage of his flexible build and long tongue to tease himself until he was thoroughly wet, saliva and pre running down over his balls and trickling between his cheeks. He shivered and looked at the waiting canine again, spreading those lanky legs apart and rising onto his hind legs, forepaws resting either side of the slight ridge of the arching spine. He moved his hips into place, pressing the swollen tip of his slick rod against the tight hole with a shudder, hunching forward and slipping a short way in, groaning at the tight fit. He wrapped one foreleg around the slim hips, pushing deeper, tugging out again just as quickly and straightening up to push himself once again deep into the clenching, quivering passage, the new angle tighter and deeper than before, working hard to get all the way in against the resistant rings of muscle. "Mmm.. ungh!" The wolf moaned out, shuddering at the depth and angle as his rear was penetrated, new sensations flooding him and leaving him dizzy against the stony ground. Six bit his tongue hard at the moaning, the reaction making him even hotter, slamming hard into the smooth walls and gasping loudly as he broke through the resistance and sank in until their nethers were pressed tightly against each other, reaching down to stroke at the swollen balls, paws rubbing and squeezing and cupping gently. Low moans and strangled gasps slipped from the silvery throat as the wolf felt himself opened up and pounded repeatedly, waves of painful pleasure washing over his lanky form, leaving him weak and trembling. Six smirked and leaned down to lick along the sensitive sides, the noises coming from his companion driving him on as he continued to rub and massage between the wolf's legs, shuddering violently as the muscles quivered around his length and sucked it greedily inwards. "Mngh... Ghnn. Ooh, Fff..." He was on the verge of collapsing onto the shivering back with the sparks of electricity between them, running up and down his back, causing his spines to rustle and flex like something alive. The lupine creature twitched and yelped as the nerves along his sides reacted to being teased with that searing sandlava tongue, the soft, playful licks and gentle massaging of his scrotum forming a combined assault on his senses as each stroke from the eager fur's shaft thudded into him, scraping by his newly discovered sweet spot. He gave out a breathy howl and jerked violently, sending him even further back against the impaling rod as jets of cum hit the ground below him, darkening the stone in an ever-widening puddle. The sturdy Pokémon shut his eyes tightly and sped up, pounding roughly into the gripping, quivering tunnel until finally he emptied himself deep inside it, panting and wincing slightly as the creamy liquid forced its way from him to coat the inside of wolf thickly. He held the tight rear against him with both forelegs, head hanging until it was almost resting on the creature's back, breathing ragged. Their moans and gasps mingled in the echoing depths of the cave. * * * Many hours later, stiff and cold, the little sandlava stirred, blinking slowly in the few rays of bright sun piercing the roof of the cave. He looked around him with a muffled yawn, licking over his nose from force of habit. He was curled up against the soft belly of his lupine guest and the slow rise and fall of the shallow chest told him he was the first one awake. He muttered a bit as he moved to gently nibble through the ropes still holding the dark wrists together, wincing as he imagined the sensation flooding back into those delicate handpaws. He didn't dare risk waking the wolf just yet, so he dragged over the bits and pieces from his fire and rebuilt it nearby, fussing and poking and prodding the sticks into place before lighting it with a little whoosh from between his ears, nose pressed to the stone. He hummed contentedly to himself as he wandered into the back of the cave to retrieve a bundle wrapped in waterproof dune-worm skin. -His shoulders were killing him. He eased off his side onto his back, arms flat on the ground either side of him. Slowly the cramping along his shoulders and back faded and he sat up, murring slightly as he noticed the fire and moved closer to it. His legs complained a bit as he stretched them out, the pleasant ache between them making him pause for a moment. The events of the night before came flooding back and he groaned internally, unsure of whether to hate himself or not. The sound of padding paws caught his attention and he looked up to see the sandlava humming pleasantly towards him with a bundle in its jaws. He watched it quietly, face carefully expressionless. It dropped the bundle gently onto his lap and he picked it up, unwrapping it carefully. Meat. Enough for three meals, at least. He poked and sniffed at it. It seemed fresh... Six stirred the fire with a stick held between his teeth, glancing at his companion from the corner of his eye. When the coals had died down a bit he gestured to the meat and sat back on his haunches. You should eat... They sat quietly as the meat cooked, not uncomfortable but not making eye-contact either. After a while the slim black-furred fingers reached in to extract the food, dropping it as the heat scorched his delicate pads. The sandlava watched every movement curiously, head tilted to one side. He watched as his guest sniffed and licked at the slab of cooked flesh before ripping into it hungrily, devouring most of it within five minutes. Widening his eyes slightly, he took the leftovers being held out to him and nibbled with a slight smile as the now satiated creature curled up next to the fire, drifting off within moments. * * * "You slept for the whole day." Six told him pleasantly as he raised his head groggily in the firelit darkness. Immediately he was up on his haunches, fists clenched, eyes glancing nervously around him. "Hey... it's fine. There's nobody else here." He looked at the compact, smiling animal for a moment before settling down next to the crackling flames again. "I haven't slept in weeks." His voice sounded alien to his sensitive ears, dopey almost. He sighed. "Or eaten..." "Mhmm... I could tell. Well never mind, now you have done both." He didn't mention the third thing neither of them had done in a while, or ever, as he suspected might be the case. "How do you feel?" He wasn't talking about the food or rest. Whether his guest knew what he was saying was anyone's guess but he nodded slowly, rubbing his arms to draw some heat into them. The sandlava watched the stroking forepaws with their elegant digits, the furtive flicking of the silvery ears, the slow swishing of that promising tail... "I never did get your name." The canine turned his sharp muzzle in the direction of his host, eyes travelling slowly along the muscular build until they reached those curious, friendly eyes. He fervently hoped his blush was hidden by his dark fur. He cleared his throat gently. He hadn't noticed the world become a smaller and more fascinating place. Perhaps it had happened while he slept. He shrugged indifferently, dismissing the thoughts, and looked into the fire. "My name is Yago." Finis.
