In the six years since Link had passed through Zora's Domain, the power of the Zoras had diminished. The River below the domain had been overrun with hostile monsters days after Link had departed with the Sapphire, keeping the guards ever busy with the defense of the falls. The King frequently worried over the safety of his people, concerned of what would happen should the guards fail and the monsters overrun them. It had yet to happen, but there was a feeling in his heart, a stirring in the depth of his soul that told him that one day it would happen.

Had the hero that once saved his daughter remained in the kingdom, he would have sent out a call to him, asking him to return and serve as a bodyguard to Princess Ruto, as befitted him as her betrothed. However, Link was nowhere to be found, despite the best efforts of his people. So, after the first year after the hero's disappearance, he called back the soldiers that had been part of the search, and had sent out a call for any soldier that believed themselves worthy to come and apply for the job.

Most had been simple opportunists, thinking that they could earn easy rupees, and were sent away. Others were powerful, strong, but were not devoted enough to a single person past the paycheck that they received, and they were hired into the army as mercenaries.

It seemed impossible to find anyone that might serve to protect his daughter, and the King began to despair...until the arrival of a single warrior. A humanoid dragon, dark of scale, carrying a blade at his side, and calling himself by the name of Reynald Crowe.

The King had tested him in devotion and strength of arm, and the dragon had proved himself worthy. Better, he had worked to treat the wounds of those that had tested him and fallen short, showing that he was man of compassion as well as battle. The King accepted him on the spot, assigning him to the protection of the princess, and brooking no argument from his daughter, no matter the protests and shrill shrieks that she filled the cavern with.

From then on, the Princess Ruto and Ren, as he preferred to be called, were together continuously. There was no way for them to be apart, and while the King found that strange at first - not to mention in a way a little bit disturbing - he found it to be a good way for them to grow up. The princess not only had a bodyguard, but also a chaperon until her betrothed returned. For the Sapphire had been given, and it could not be returned without the express wish of the one it had been given to.

For five years, the Princess and her bodyguard remained together, and the falls grew ever more dangerous with the monsters that roamed the river. The darkness that had fallen on Hyrule insisted on spreading, and all Zoras knew that their soldiers could not stop it forever. For now, though, there were still some safe places, one of which lay right behind their Domain. Though emptied of the guardian spirit Jabu-Jabu, it was still safe, and strong with the blessed power of the goddesses, holding the monsters at bay, for the moment.

It is here that destiny changed, and the Princess finally allowed herself to show her guardian the appreciation that she had long denied him over the years.

Princess Ruto sighed softly as she watched her protector on the shore of the Fountain. The dragon seldom deigned to get in the water with her when she managed to convince him to come out here with her, and instead almost always watched her from the shore, his arms crossed and his eyes locked on her. His eyes were always glimmering slightly as he stared at her, otherworldly, almost. Sometimes they scared her, particularly in the later part of the day when his scales allowed him to blend into the shadows in a way that was so different from the Zora she lived with, the only visible part of him in the darkness. In the light, though, as now, he was merely a sentinel, someone that was as long lasting and steadfast as the river that flowed from the Fountain itself.

Steadfast and reliable as the dragon was, though, the Princess occasionally had thoughts of him that she couldn't explain. She was a betrothed woman, waiting for the hero that had saved her from Jabu-Jabu's belly to return and claim her as his wife, but it had been years since then. In that time, Ren had saved her from other monsters, moving at speeds she could hardly believe to cross rivers and space to block a blow that would have taken her down easily. He seemed to leap from shadow to shadow, crossing unbelievable space in seconds when it came to keeping her safe, and she had long since forgotten how many times he had saved her life.

It made it hard to remember the one time that Link had saved her, and remember that she was supposed to be waiting for him.

It was even harder once she had awakened as a woman, as a grown woman of her people. Like the rest of her tribe, Ruto had never worn clothing, and she was ever conscious of the dragon's eyes on her. He never said anything improper, likely seeing her as little more than a child, but there were times when she felt his eyes on her, looking at her from behind, seeing the space between her legs, and she wondered whether he really saw her as a child, or if he might be seeing her as more of a woman. More as an equal, or...

She blushed as she ducked her head under the water, shaking her head as she continued her swim among the plants and fish beneath the Fountain's surface. This had gotten worse and worse since the first time he had swam naked with her. It had allowed her to see him for the first time, and see just how different he was from her. Her body knew what all the differences were for, and it hadn't been long after that swim that her father had explained further, telling her the differences between males and females and what they did. Her body had burned that night, and it hadn't stopped burning since, begging for her to take advantage of the chance with her bodyguard.

For a time, she was able to remember Link and her promise, but it had been six years since he had disappeared, and she had grown up. The promise had worn too thin to be enough of a barrier to stop her from approaching Ren. She had managed with the idea of it being her age that might put him off, being too young, not to mention what the King would think, but now that she was grown, that no longer worked either.

Just the thought of it now, of her bodyguard in the water with her, giving her what her body had craved for so long...Ruto was thankful for the way the water shielded her from view, because she knew that her blush would have given away her intentions immediately.

She decided then. She needed him. Six years was long enough to wait for her 'hero' to come back, and Ren deserved a reward better than the meager stipend of rupees that her father paid him. She just needed to get him alone, and then...

The fading sunlight left the Fountain looking like it was sheathed in gold, and it made Ren a trifle uneasy. With the reflection of the sun covering the Fountain's water, it made it difficult, if not impossible to follow the Princess through the water with his eyes. A part of him was reasonably sure that she would be safe here, as the Fountain was still strong enough with the goddess's blessing to keep out the monsters, as well as with the other guards that patrolled the old platform where their guardian spirit Jabu-Jabu used to be, but the warrior in him was still concerned.

Time passed, and that part slowly got stronger and stronger. The Princess had been instructed before - with a spanking after when she had ignored him - that she needed to stay in sight as much as possible, and he had thought she'd learned her lesson. If she hadn't, then she would need to be punished later, but if she had, and she still wasn't up...

The dragon was on the verge of stripping off his armor and leaping into the water when the princess finally broke the surface again, her breasts clearing the water for a moment before she slid back into the wet. He shook his head lightly at the sight, reminding himself of the promise he had made to keep her safe. That meant he wasn't allowed thoughts along those lines.

The other guards nodded at the princess, but before they could get back to their patrol, she shouted, "There are monsters approaching the lower falls! You need to get down there and warn the other soldiers before they get too close!"

Ren blinked at the warning. He was close to the tunnel to the Domain, near the falls themselves, so he walked to the falls and looked over the edge.

There was little to be seen through the mist, but even he could see that it was peaceful. There were no signs of monsters, and even if Ruto had a secret cavern further down that she had used to look through, he doubted that she would have seen anything that he hadn't.

Before he could say anything, the guards were off and running, out of earshot in seconds as they went through the tunnel to the Domain, leaving him and Ruto alone in the Fountain.

Ren turned towards the approaching princess, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow. "It seems that you have decided to lie to the other guards," the dragon said softly as she pulled herself out of the water. Utilizing a fair bit of willpower, Ren kept his eyes away from any spot below the waist and below the neck. "Would you like to tell me the reason? And why you remained out of sight for as long as you did?"

"I had...a thought, Ren," the Princess said, still approaching him. Her eyes were downcast, he noticed, and her cheeks were dark blue in a Zora blush.

"A thought that requires a lie to your guards and sending them away?"

"A thought that requires being alone, yes." She stopped in front of him, and he was reminded again of just how much smaller than him she was. Even though she had grown up, her head barely came to his chin, and that was if she was standing on her tiptoes rather than standing straight. "I...I've been thinking about a lot, Ren. And it's been hard for me to get around this idea, and I kind of need your help."

"I'm always at your service, your highness," Ren said.

"Well...in this case, I'd...I'd rather prefer to be at your service."

The dragon blinked, sure that he had heard that wrong. "Your highness?"

"Do I really have to spell it out for you?" she asked, her voice sharpening for a moment into the snippy tone of voice he had mostly trained her out of. One of her hands grabbed him by the groin, and even through the leather armor he wore, he could feel her fingers fondling at his bulge, squeezing it when she figured out just where it was. "I want...this!"

His mind rushing along at more than a mile a second, the dragon considered. The Princess was blunt enough to show him that she did want this, and badly. More than that, she had obviously considered all that she had been told before, all the talk about waiting for her husband, and just as obviously flung it aside. Her fingers continued to rub against his crotch as he considered whether he wanted it.

The hardness growing from her touch was answer enough for him. Ren grabbed her hand, and pulled it from his crotch. He smiled softly as she looked disappointed. "Wait for me to get out of this...but we'll have to go quick. Otherwise, those guards will be back and catch us."

She knew the risk there, it was clear, and nodded in agreement.

Ren quickly stripped down, pulling off his armor and putting it down on one of few dry plots of land around the Fountain. It was quick and simple to get it off, and by the time that he turned back to the Princess, it was clear that she was just as ready for him as he was for her. The slit between her legs was flushed dark blue, just like her cheeks, and it was wet with a liquid that was most definitely not water. If there had been any doubt that she was not as ready as he for this, then it disappeared in a flicker of a second.

He pulled her to him as he laid in the water, his shaft pointing up as he pulled her down on top of him. The warmth of her slit rubbed against the top of his shaft for just a second before she started to slide down along his length. It was different, not just tighter than other females he had been with, but a different temperature as well. A bit cooler, maybe, and a good bit wetter, as well, making the difference in their size - and the size of his endowment - almost negligible in effect.

Her pussy accepted him quickly, without even the barrier of her hymen to slow them down. She must have broken it through all the swimming that she had done, or perhaps there had been something to happen inside Jabu-Jabu all those years ago that she had never told anyone. Either way, Ren did not care. The two of them soon hilted, and he moaned softly against her shoulder at the warm slickness around his cock, the feeling of her pussy tightening and pulsing lightly in her own excitement against him.

Grabbing her by the arms, the dragon dragged her up and down his cock at a rapid pace, knowing that they only had a short time before the guards came back. The Princess yelped slightly at his grip, but silenced herself as he started to use her, to fill her with his cock again and again. He felt her legs quiver and tremble, and knew that she was as eager for this, needed this, as badly as he did.

Panting, the dragon thrust up from the water below, slamming his cock in up to the hilt with every thrust. The rushing water beneath him was enough to stimulate him all over, rubbing against his shaft and balls and other things when he pulled out of her, and then rushing around him when he slammed back in. His balls slapped against her hard each time he thrust upwards, and she gasped in pleasure as she was filled.

Her insides were getting warmer, he felt, and he could feel their juices mixing, forming a slick substance that made thrusting easier, almost frictionless from their mutual need. The dragon groaned loudly as he felt himself getting closer and closer, and he started tugging her along his shaft faster, faster.

Just at the edge of hearing, past the sounds of sex, Ren suddenly heard the sounds of the guards coming back. If he could hear them already, they weren't far off. "Gonna have...to hurry," the dragon muttered into the Princess's ear. She nodded, as though giving him permission.

His motions sped up, moving her and him in a blur of sex. It was harsh, rapid, but satisfying, and as she clenched herself around his shaft repeatedly, she finally pulled him over the edge to orgasm. His cock spasmed inside of her, filling her with his seed, and he pulled out of her after the first few shots. Her pussy clamped and squeezed on him as he pulled out, squirting as she came as well, their juices falling into the water below and getting washed away by the current.

Rather than try and get dressed again, Ren leaped into the Fountain with the Princess at his side. The two of them were half-blurred by the time that the other Zoras returned, looking at the Princess in annoyance. "The King will have words for you later," one of them said before going back on patrol.

Ren had to stifle a smile before it could grow. The King would have words, indeed...if not a grandchild. The dragon looked at the Princess's belly. With as much as he had pumped into her, it was definitely a chance, and one never knew just how this sort of stuff could work out.

Underwater, Ruto grabbed hold of his shaft. Smiling, Ren reached over and slid a finger inside of her gently. This job just got a lot more interesting.
