The Sad, Short Life Of Berry
Was going to be longer, but people kept bugging me, so I said screw it, and wrote an ending faster than I wanted.
Not sure how good it is, but commissions are still open, cheap, and price negotiable.
Songs listened to while writing:
Katy Perry-Wide Awake

The door slammed open, a brown ball of fur thrown out into the white snow where it laid for a moment. The large gorilla staring at it, fishing his large girth back into his pants. "What? You got what you wanted; now get the fuck out of here."
It wasn't until the door slammed that the bear moved from his fetal position. Only a few seconds in the snow, and already he was shivering, the only thing between his skin and the cold chills was thin, malnourished fur, and a pair of old, dirty underwear from a past life much more pleasant.
He stood on weak legs, clutching the money that he had gathered from his sinful deed, walking down the alley with light sobs and an awkward limp. Warmth. He had to find warmth. The Gorillas home had been so warm, so comfortable, that when he was commanded to leave, he had protested. Stupid. If he had just done as he was told, hadn't fought the larger, adult fur, than he would have been able to come back some other time. Instead, he had resisted, the gorilla got angry.
"Daddy, can we get that one!?" He heard from the other side of the alley, poking his head out to see a small feline and a wolf, looking at various toys in the window, to attract the cubs. This close to Christmas, all the stores were open late.
"Oh Come-on, maybe Santa got it for you for Christmas." The large wolf said, picking the feline up and hugging him. More than likely, the kid was adopted, Berry assumed. The wolf kissed the boys cheek and held him. There was no lust, there was no perverseness, and he held him with no ulterior motives. "Love ya, kiddo."
"Love ya too, daddy." The feline said, being held by the large wolf, which carried him away. Berry hadn't realized it, but he had reached out to the two, his vision quickly flooded with tears.
'Come back' He mouthed, though he was unable to yell it, no longer able to see, he turned the other way. In that small moment, he had grown so jealous of the feline, who had everything he didn't. A parent who loved him, warmth... A "Santa"... He didn't know why, but that pissed him off. The kid lived such a happy life. Santa still existed, Tooth fairy visited him, all those things that Berry no longer had. All the bear had now was cold nights and strange men.
But at the moment, he had something more. He had money. Not much, but enough to get a-
"Hey!" Cried a voice he had only heard a few moments ago. He turned to see the cat, staring at him with large eyes that seemed to meet a sudden harsh reality. "Are you... alone?" He asked quizzically, as if his brain couldn't comprehend it. It made Berry angrier
"Are you cold?" Had the bear been older, he would have had a sharp sarcastic retort. But all he could do was nod. The kitten took off his coat, underneath a long sleeve shirt. "Here, take my coat," He said. On the starving bear, it was a little too big. "and here," The cat reached into his wallet, pulling out rumpled up money, giving half to the bear, before putting the rest back in his pocket. "Merry Christmas," The cat said, before turning around, and taking a few steps.
Quick thinking, a loud THUD and a gasp of pain, the cat fell over, the bear dropping the pipe he had grabbed, even against the ice, the steel pipe made a loud sound as it hit the ground, nowhere near as hard as it had hit the back of the kittens head. He kneeled, tugging at the cats clothes, tugging them off and throwing them on. They were too big, but they would do for no-
"Get the fuck AWAY FROM HIM!" A snarl and a punch to the young bears face, flying a few feet, hitting the snow and skidding. Looking up, he saw the wolf, hugging the still kitten, pulling out a phone. "Just hold on, daddies here. I'm gonna get you some help! You mother FUCKER!" The cub had never seen such a big wolf cry before. He ran, seeing the steel pipe whooshing past him.
He could feel it, the blood gushing from his nose. He didn't bother with it, didn't want to stop. He ran, and ran. He only stopped when he ran through the door of a gas station. He didn't bother to look around, He ran straight to the restroom, washing his fur, tending to his wound. He looked at the money. He may have just killed someone.. for fifteen dollars. Fifteen dollars he put into the toilet and flushed.
Coming out of the restroom, he left the gas station, adjusting his new coat. Suddenly he wanted to throw them off. But it was far too cold.
The bear cub took a few steps, before being gripped by a large hand. "Your money." someone snarled. The boy whimpered and reached into his pocket, pulling out what little he had made for his services earlier. It was taken by shaking, nervous hands. A man as desperate as his self.
He heard the sound of something clicking, and a weight against his back. He knew the noise, he had heard it before, back when his ideal life came to an end, and was cased in the shit hole he was in know. Except last time he had heard it, it was the last day he had seen his parents.
"You're holding out on me!" The stranger screamed his hands shaky. An Ambulance drove past, and from the windows in the back, he saw the wolf. And in his hand, were the hands of a child, which moved about with life, and determination. Berry gave a comforted sigh, his conscious slightly cleared.
A loud BANG and a pain that spread through his body, the cub fell to the snow that slowly soaked with blood. He expected it, but not the pain. He cried out, but the man had fled, as someone came out of the diner.
"Shit! Kid, hold on! Does anyone have a cellphone!?"
Hands held him, moved him, and applied pressure to his back. He heard people crying out for help or for something to put on the wound, like a rag, or towel, or even a shirt.
But Berry just focused on the sound of the sirens.
