Dran and Mist - Chapter Seven
Jason: My eyes have been opened.
Alder fell back into her seat, facing out over the sea of clouds, shielding her eyes against the glare of the sun blaring through the windows and forcing herself to squint. The last time that she had seen the carrier had been about two years ago in the assault on the floating laboratory, yet now she was riding in it. Strange how things work out, isn't it? The cockpit of the flyer was as strange as she guessed it would be; an array of bleeping and flashing gadgets about the entire edge of the room, only the sliding doorway and a large glass covered section at the front remaining free. There were a few seats at the controls, each with a different set of equipment infront of them, all of them unmanned except for the central console. The red and silver colouring of the exterior of the vehicle continiued inside, reflecting the bright lights as they sped towards... Somewhere. *Feels like some fucked up kidnapping...* It virtualy was. The flying monstrosity had landed over the site of the destroyed LastBreath headquarters in Japan, at least the crowds had thought that it was just some movie flick rather than an invasion. She had been on the front row, among several other confused police officers, weapons ready and awaiting whatever was coming... *I was hardly expecting a call out for me to come on board, what's this all about anyway?*
She swiveled her chair, turning inwards and staring at the back of the female holding the joystick. A vixen, perhaps her height, about six feet; Her crimson fur was shot through with black, trailing up her arms in some tribal looking design. Her front however was white, something like a renamon, and her eyes were more human. A pair of denim overalls covered her, the majority of them smeared with grease and oil, even a smudge on her cheek. The logo of LastBreath however emblazoned the back, at least letting her know she was with the good guys... She hoped. Alder decided to break the silence, "You said on the speaker this had something to do with Jason?"
Her ears tweaked, "You'll find out soon enough." Her manner was strangely blunt, almost dismissive, something slightly unexpected given her appearance.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but what sort of digimon are you? I've never seen anything like you before and-" She cut herself off as something flew past the window, huge white wings visable for a second before it veered upwards and out of sight. She lurched forwards, trying to get a better look but whatever it was, it was now out of sight above the craft.
"I'm not a digimon. I'm one hundred percent fox - a humanoid vixen called Akra." She never looked up from the skyline, adjusting the control stick slightly to correct the Valiant's course.
"Oh..." Strangely, she took things in her stride, the presence of such oddities typical of the company that she had once served with. *Wow, she's cold. I'll just try to be nice.* "You certainly have a very spirited Angemon, Akra."
"He isn't a digimon either." She turned, just for a moment, "He is Arc." Completely matter of fact.
Alder gave up on conversation.

"I have continiued my research into this mysterious race called 'digimon', aided by my mate and also a cat, a gatomon known as Trine." Dran tapped away at the keyboard, another image flickering onto the screen as he continiued his log. The place was simple enough, brightly lit by the late noon sun streaming its light through the portals, his lodgings had returned to the comfortable standard of the hotel. Beyond the glass, the sea could be glimpsed, an unending blue mass spreading outwards to infinity. Behind him, curled up on the bed was Mist, sleeping in a way in which he seemed to be hugging her own tail, sleeptalking something that he couldn't quite hear. *I guess I should be used to it by now, she's always murmering something in her sleep... She looks so cute lying there though...* He swiveled on the office chair, pulling close to the oaken desk to survey a rotating image of a renamon, "It seems that slowly, the digimon are becoming more... Human? Acording to Trine, digimon were once very limited in terms of anima yet now - they seem to experience emotions that are more typical to their tamers, things such as jealousy, pride... Love." He tapped a few keys idly, the screen fading into darkness, "Hopefully I can get more solid answers when we reach England." He tapped the side of his scanner, ending his monologue as he dropped it into a pocket. *I wonder if its like my England... My world?*
All other thoughts were swiftly driven from his mind as he felt furred arms slowly lace themselves about his neck, closing his eyes and chuckling as Mist nuzzled his cheek. He waited for her to release him, some vague sequence of thoughts finding a sharp edge as he turned the chair to face her. In a single fluid movement, he propelled himself from it, tackling her and knocking her back and down onto the bed, meeting those eyes, bright with intelligence, boring into his own, "Morning love." she licked his cheek.
He grinned, "Some morning, its almost time for lunch!"
Mist blushed, "Y-you were late back and..." Her voice dropped, "You know I don't like to sleep without you."
*Goddamn...* He made to plant a kiss at her cheek, yet instead, she pulled him close, engaging his mouth with her own, her tongue slipping past his jaws as he returned the motion, wrapping his arms about her until she finally broke away. That pleading look in her eyes, a feeling of want eminating from their connection, the smell from her in which he delighted, "How come everything you do turns me on so much?"
She looked up, struggling with the buttons of his shirt, now almost jumping up his body as she met his lips once more, completely wonton in her motion, "I guess I just have a gift..."
"Damn right you do." He removed his shirt, going for his belt yet she swatted his hands aside, kneeling down between his legs as she worked his trousers loose. They came away with a final tug, falling besides her gauntlets as the renamon placed her hands high on his legs, slowly sliding them upwards, leaning forwards, surveying her lover nude in the natural light for the first time. He shook his head, dislodging a stray hair, allowing what was almost a growl to escape him as she licked along his dick; already it was so hard that it hurt, a quiver running through him as she teased. It was strange how good she had gotten in such a short time, simple intuition guiding her as fingers wrapped about its base, squeezing softly as her lips closed about the tip, tongue trailing about it before she lowered herself further. It was strange how even now she could make it seem so natural, eyes closed, slowly bobbing over the member of one outside of her own race, yet Dran was beyond caring, taking a sharp breath as she continiued. It had been a country and a half since they had last been together and the need that he felt was driving him crazy; watching her walking infront of him, tail swaying seductively, brushing against him slyly, days of torment before this. She had removed her hand, using it to support herself as ever so slowly she took the entire length into her muzzle, trying not to choke as her throat closed about it. Her tamer could only groan in response, desperately trying to fight the intensifying feeling in his loins, digging his nails into his palms as he enjoyed the treatment for as long as possible. It was futile, he knew, watching Mist slide her off hand down herself, tracing her own need before sliding a finger into herself in sync with her bob. The human gave no warning, the torrents of cum as much a surprise to him as the wide eyed digital fox paused at the tip of his dick, cheeks bulging slightly in an almost comical fashion as her instincts forced her to swallow. He felt the squeeze as her throat convulsed, expecting her to pull back and shout for what he had done, yet instead the motion was repeated, his mate draining him as best she could. She rose her head, a small amount of white just visable in the corner of her mouth, tongue snaking out to catch it, grinning as if proud of her feat.
Dran couldn't help but chuckle, leaning down to scratch behind her ear, something that he found she enjoyed, letting her crawl back up his body, a dampness felt against his leg as her fur brushed and settled against him. *I could get used to that taste.*She reached down, grabbing and guiding, finding him to be still hard. He had explained it to her a while ago, something about how his human side had adapted to being part fox, allowing him to remain hard for quite a time even after orgasm - Yet she could care less as his tip slid along her slit, almost a shivver as she positioned herself on top, looking down at him, catching his eyes in the lull before dropping her weight and accepting his full length in a single movement. She almost screamed, instantly spread as wide as his half knot forced her, placing a paw over his heart as she rested for a few moments, waiting for the pain to fade before slowly beginning a slow motion. *God, it feels so strange to be in control of sex for a change...* Mist bordered on nervous, rather than focusing on only her own pleasure she had to take Dran into account - he had always ensured that she got off before he did but - she slipped on the bed slightly, ass knocking one of his balls and drawing a small gasp of pain from him. *Damn...*
It was as if he sensed some form of tension in her from their connection alone, the human had sat up, folding his arms about her as she continiued her motion, feeling every juttering breath escape his mate as he held her close, supplimenting her work with his own thrusts, now having the needed leverage. He smiled for a moment, his eyes betraying his feelings as she met him in a kiss, gasping into it as she began to reach the beginnings of an orgasm. It hit faster than she thought it would, specks flashing through her closed eyes, chest fluttering, some high pitched tone escaping her as Dran continiued with renewed vigour. Pulled so close, silky fur brushing against his body with each of their motions, tail sweeping about behind her, raised and sliding over his arms, heaven. His own chest seemed to be vibrating, a strange growl once more drawn from him as he began to build up, the pleasure of the squeezing motion and wetness of the renamons orgasm setting him well on his way to his own release. He sped up, forcing her to increase the intensity of her bucking motion as he fucked her furiously, the growl rising to a roar as it reached its crescendo, drowning Mist's screams with a sound that left her ears ringing. It dwindled in volume until he ran out of breath, the renamon as spent as he was, falling forwards onto his body and panting. He was lying back now, her ontop and hugging his chest as he idly rubbed behind her ears, remaining connected and basking in the afterglow that both had waited a what felt like so long for.
Dran sighed, taking a slow deep breath before letting it out in a way that he could draw out as much as possible, "Damn, Mist... You're really getting good at this..."
A bang at the door removed any posibility of a reply, the impact swiftly followed by another as the wood was knocked from its frame, Haze half running, half falling into the room, Trine behind him in her angewomon form, bow ready. He brandished Joyeuse, "Are you guys allright!? We heard a scream and-" He faded into silence as he realised their current position, Mist blushing furiously as she attempted to hide her face in her tamers chest, Trine giggling behind him. The renamon shook his head, "Oh, for fuck sake..."
*****
Mist dropped onto the bar stool, sitting uneasily at the edge of the seat. The ships bar was a lot larger than she had expected it to be, well lit as the sun faded into the horizon, its amber rays providing some tropical coloured light as they reflected from the wood floor. An entire side opened up onto the deck, into the sunset and the rabble of people, yet the remainder was enclosed, the sides decorated in the oaken fashion of an old english pub, yet it somehow maintained a pristine modern air, the uniformed student behind the bar, the various cocktails sliding across the surface, it all gave it a pleasant atmosphere. The gatomon broke the silence, finally finished sucking at a straw protruding from what appeared to be a coconut, "It's good to see you back on your feet." She giggled into her pina colada. Mist blushed and bowed her head, politely asking for just water as the bartender moved past. "What? No booze? C'mon, they've got everything and its all on company bill." She broke off the top of the coconut, downing the contents before tapping the table, another sliding down to her as the empty one was retrieved.
"If I remember... And I only remember a little - the last time I drank with you we wound up..." She slid off her chair to bow to a rather confused bartender as he gave her a glass. Trine just shook her head.
"Damn, you're bad at human customs. And yeah - We fucked." She put it bluntly.
Mist covered her face with her paws, "Don't tell-"
"Oh, your tamer already knows, I showed him the video." She tossed a silver scanner from paw to paw, a device similar to Drans reflecting the light, "Relax, he thought it was hot..." Her ears drooped, "He wouldn't let me take care of his 'little problem' though," She seemed dissapointed, "Me or Angewomon."
The renamon allowed her breathing to steady, panic replaced by profound relief as she knew that Dran wouldn't hold it against her. She smiled, impressed that he had resisted Trine while she herself had wound up... Well, yeah. Yet something nagged at her mind, "Hey, how come you can just digivolve up and down without a tamer?"
The cat was toying with the end of the straw, batting at it airilly with a claw, "Oh, I'm an Independent." Mist's stare was blank, so she drew a small crimson digivice from her glove, "Until I find my true tamer, anyone can use this to digivolve me, even... Well, me. Haze is one too." Another drink slid into her grasp, the student bartender visably intimidated by the kitty tank. In fact he looked a little familiar...
"Haze also?" Something didn't add up.
"Yeah," she was kicking her legs beneath the bar, "Xak was his temp for a while but since he got that sword he gave the 'vice back"
Her voice lowered to an inaudiable musing, "But... Xak still has a digivice..."
*****
Haze finally loosened his grip on the vent, falling downwards into the inky blackness. His weapon was drawn, arms outstretched, his body performing a full rotation before he slashed, the same crescent of energy that he had fired the night that he had rescued Trine now impacting the ground. The force of the attack halted and reversed his descent, the renamon flipping backwards before landing on the wooden floor, claws sliding until he gained purchase. Slowly, his eyes were adjusting, his nightsight trait of his race allowing him limited vision, the place coming into focus. The ceiling was far ahead, the arial system of vents being his entrance, his course having led him here all the way from the upper decks. Through the wall he could hear the steady thrum of engines, letting him know exactly how far down his little journey had led him. The area on which he stood in the center was about the size of an ice hocky rink, roughly oval in shape and hemmed in by low barriers. Spread beyond these were a series of stands, tiers of seats that gave the room the general aura of a sports hall. He lowered himself to the ground, tracing a claw against a dark stain on the wood, drawing it close to his face as he identified it as dried blood. *God, I hate it when I'm right.*
The lights flickered on, forcing him to raise an arm over his eyes, to fall back as his sight adjusted, stunned for a few moments until a voice drifted over to him. The same deep voice that he remembered, "How did you find this place, renamon?"
He spread his fingers, enabling himself a brief glimpse before lowering his arm and surveying the one before him. Standing at five feet with the same extending staff held across his body was the man from Japan, the agent of Cross. He was unchanged, his black mail still intact, body completely covered by the armour, his eyes unseen through the narrow visor. "Your scent was easy to track." He pointed joyeuse towards him, holding his other arm behind himself, raised in the classic pose of a fencer.
"You wish to fight?" He lowered his own weapon slightly, "After the last time you should know that you have no chance of defeating-" An arc of light sliced past his body, the agent barely having enough time to avoid it before it slammed the barrier behind him, leaving a deep burnt out crack. Haze grinned, the 'training' that Dran had forced him through finally becoming something that could be used practically. He had returned to the ready position, able to read some confusion in his opponent, yet the feeling was quickly fading, becoming tempered into a grim understanding as he moved into a defensive posture, "It would appear that I underestimated you."
"Damn right you did." Spurred on by his own display of power he couldn't help but be a little arrogant, even in the face of such an opponent.
"I don't want to have to kill you... But I can't let your little team know that I am present either..." Slowly he rose his staff, pointing it at the renamon and rapidly extending it in the same was as before, Haze easilly ducking it as a small crater was left in the barrier. He had already dove forwards, the battle very much initiated.
*A humanitarian member of Cross? Now I've seen everything.* He met his opponents strike, weapons sliding together as both struggled for anchorage on the smooth wood. He found leverage first, taking advantage as the agent's back leg skidded in the bloodstains, driving into a series of slashes, each one blocked by the persistant ability of his opponent, though he was slowly driving him backwards. The moment that they neared the barrier however, the knight had shifted to the side, the short range movement mirrored by the renamon as their skill levels finally seemed on par. It was now simply a matter of who made the first mistake.
Haze felt like he had been fighting for hours, yet in reality it had only been a few minutes, the repeated shifts of each of the combatants making the world seem like it was moving in slow motion. He pushed off from the barrier, twisting his body in the air, each of his slashes aided by his momentum yet all of them redirected by the rapid motion of his target. He dodged a strike, the extension more like a bullet than anything else, grabbing the staff and launching an assault yet it was already wrenched from his grasp. He shifted, behind his enemy, an opportunity found as he fell downwards, blade sweeping. The reverse of the pole extended, slamming into his chest as his abandoned defense in favour of such a gambit had left him open. He attempted to shift yet a swift series of strikes removed any chance, slamming him against the concrete border barrier, the renamon falling to his knees as the Cross agent landed before him, panting heavilly. Haze rose his head, his defeat visable in his eyes, yet he already seemed distant, blood matting several areas of his fur from the blunt impacts alone. His thoughts went back one night. To what he had learned.
"What the hell was that!?" He was back on those rooftops, a Bio-Angel falling before him. Even though his transformation had lasted for only a few seconds he felt drained, as if he had just ran a great distance. He rose Joyeuse, sweeping a small arc to remove the droplets of blood from its edge.
"Wow, sooner than I thought..." Dran had dispatched his own opponent, a narrow window opened for talk as overhead, more portals split the fabric of the world. His flames ceased, "That is the Sypher's true power. Light Joyeuse - Only to be used when there is no other way." He shifted to meet the oncoming assault as the renamon stared at his weapon.
"Wow..."
Everything changed in an instant, his attacker blasted into the air, slamming against the opposing barrier, the front of his armour rent in a solid crack, only black material visable. The staff had been split into two, the strike having gone through the block; the weapon was now fading, turning into water as it fell to the ground. Slowly the droplets began to flow back together, the staff gradually beginning to reform of its own accord. His fur was shining white, the head of each strand glowing with some otherworldly luminescence, even his eyes. Joyeuse was too bright to look at, the purple glaze instead the purest snow. He staggered forwards, walking as if in a dream, energy completely drained, raising his weapon as he reached the groaning body.
"Crimson Lightning!" He was wrapped up and raised into the air, Joyeuse falling to the ground as both returned to normal. Someone was behind him, fading into view to reveal himself as a young man clad in a waiters uniform. There was a flash of black and his body changed, a myotismon grinning evily, moving to stand besides the agent, pulling him to his feet, "Oh how delectable, the great Dalmia defeated by the whelp. This is why the boss always demands that we fight in our complete forms!"
The voice had changed completely, shifting from a deep boom to something else as some device malfunctioned, pitch fluctuating, "Urgh... Enough, Myotismon, he simply got lucky." He thumped his chest sighing as a small black box fell to the ground. Voice now feminine, revealing that 'he' was infact a 'she'. "Luck appears to be on my side also, this armour absorbed most of his strike." The gear looked terrible, the symbol of Cross destroyed, half of the front plate blasted away revealing a black cloth covering... Someone. The black knight recovered the staff, grabbing Joyeuse to make a pair.
"You want me to kill him?" The bonds tightened, the vampire chuckling as he gasped for air.
"No..." The reply was a little too steadfast.
"What? But he's one of Arc's-" He was stunned.
"I'm aware... But I have another way to utilise him for... Entertainment." She sounded as sadistic as the dracula wannabe. The agent turned, relieving him of his digivice and removing the tanned belt he donned, checking the pouches and recovering a small scanner. "Bring him."
Haze was allowed one final thought as he slipped into unconsciousness, carried away from the arena. *I can't believe I was beaten by a girl...*

This section of the story has suffered more rewrites than all of the others combined... I kept changing my mind as to what was going to happen - only got the ending solid in my mind so everything up to that is whatever pops out of my head. Hope it was enjoyed, please rate and review. Thanks.
