Problems in paradise 8
#8 of Problems in Paradise
The swim lasted for a few minutes until the pack was reasonably clean and when the pack got out and shook off. Sniffing each one of his new packmates and getting an appreciative bark in return, the new alpha went over to Ezekiel and Isaiah who were busy lapping at each other's faces. Not wanting to get into another altercation while the former alpha male was with his mate Kendric stepped off to the side and then looked up to the trees to the azure sky.
The day was drawing into evening and soon it would be too cold to stay outside and too dangerous. Shaking the water off of his dark fur, Ken barked to the others, something he was still getting used to, but growing more and more comfortable with, and the pack looked at him with curious eyes.
"We need to try and get to a safe shelter for the night and then make our way to the southern part of the forest near my home tomorrow." When no one objected, Ken gave a nod and turned to Ezekiel and Isaiah who were staring at him with clearly different thoughts running around in their heads.
Ken snorted at Ezekiel, who snarled coldly, before turning past the river and bounding off in a steady lop. Ezekiel, Isaiah, Kenneth, Eric, Daniel, Robin, Zeek and Zan followed along in a single line behind the new alpha through the dense forest to an unfamiliar destination known. Each of the weredogs had their own thoughts and feelings about the new world that they were in but all, including Ezekiel had full trust in Kendric to lead them to safety.
The wind was warm during their travel and Ken noted that the air seemed more heavy than usual in the Elder Forest. The animals scampered as a new band of predators made themselves known to the inhabitants of the wooded glade while Ken got a strange feeling of euphoria from the scents and sounds gathering in his nose and ears. If the forest was once vibrant as a human than it was nearly oppressive as a weredog. Colors seemed so much brighter, little sounds were intensified three fold, smells were more pungent, and the life flow of Mother Nature was clearer to the weredog/mage.
Ken smiled to himself as the others kept looking and sniffing the air while moving to his pace; even stubborn assed Ezekiel was tentatively taking in the scents around him while trying to seem disinterested.
Raising his head to the sky, Ken barked and let out the pent up emotions rolling through his body and soon enough the rest of the weredogs started up in an off key chorus of yips and sharp barks.
Time passed and before long the blue expanse above the pack turned a bright golden orange and then a tranquil indigo. Ken put more speed into his run as felt the nipping cold getting into his skin past his lush fur. Just as the last dregs of light began to fade away the new alpha saw the cavern and barked to the others to slow down.
Coming to a near halt the nine weredogs panted and huffed as they had been going at it for close to three hours without rest and Ken looked to everyone to check their progress and sniff over them. Some happily smiled at the alpha but a few dropped to the ground and swallowed up gulps of air to regain their composure. Ezekiel grunted when Ken came over to him but let the other observe him while Isaiah gave a canine like cough in amusement in the background.
After the pack was taken care of, Ken walked into the cave and sniffed around at the ground to see if something else had decided to move in while he was away. When only the stale scents of animals that had come and gone met his nose he snorted happily and barked back at the others.
"Come on in before the winds pick up." The pack barked happily and trotted inside while Isaiah herded a grumbling Ezekiel inside with a patient smile on his dark lips.
"Could have stayed out here..." the former alpha gripped until a strong gale picked up and whipped across his back.
"I wouldn't recommend that. Slypheed had a high current of wind during the night and since it's Autumn here you'd probably freeze over." Ken said with a high and mighty smile on his face before turning and going deep into the darkness of the cavern.
'Though it might do your hot head some good.' Ken thought while looking over his shoulder at the wolfhound mixed weredog.
'Nah. Isaiah would be lonely if that happened.' Kendrick watched as the two former heads of the pack strolled inside and then settled down into the thick ring of fur the other weredogs had made.
Bodies piled on top of one another while noses and tails pushed against each weredog before being snorted away away. Ken was amazed how much everyone seemed to have a particular place in the small huddle and stayed close to each of the others without being pushed away or snapped at. The smallest of the pack were kept close to the largest while the middle sized weredogs huddled around them like a safety net. As Ezekiel stepped close to the circle, the new alpha was surprised when the wolfhound weredog settled on the outskirts of the sphere of bodies, followed along by his mate who settled on top of him.
"You coming to sleep or not?" Ezekiel grouchily said while rubbing his head against Isaiah's neck.
Kendrick huffed and found himself a spot in the middle of the bodies of fur. The heat from the others was nothing short of suffocating but not in a bad way. It was more like having a heavy quilt put over you while breathing in the warm scent of something...comforting.
'Am I really enjoying this?' Ken mulled over his thoughts until he was stared in the face by the pack when uncontrolled huffs seeped from his throat.
"Eh?" Ezekiel gazed at Ken and then walked over to the other and lapped at the new alpha's muzzle before setting his paw over the other's head and forcing him down to the cave floor.
"Go to sleep already..."
If he could have opened his maw Ken would have told the other where to go but he was too tired to bother and when Isaiah came over and settled near him he rolled his eyes and turned to go to sleep. The heat and warm scents of the pack lulled the new alpha into dreams while the pack returned to their positions and followed suit. Ezekiel cocked open one of his dark azure eyes to look at Ken and then removed his paw and curled into himself with Isaiah chuckling nearby and licking at Ken's head.
Dawn found the pack still huddled together in a warm embrace while the creatures of the forest awoke with an array of chirps and twitters. Moaning and squirming, Kendric bumped into the other weredogs causing a domino effect of limbs reaching out and pushing against one another. Yawns, groans, and finally yips woke everyone up one by one until several pairs of eyes blinked awake and tongues lolled around with heavy pants following.
"ugh...too early..." Ken muttered groggily before he sniffed and looked up to see someone's tail in his face.
The rapidly moving appendage gave way to a pink rose that Ken was unsure of before he sniffed again and caught the tale tell scent of male. For someone who was used to living alone and going to sleep that way Kendric was startled before he swiftly blinked his eyes and backed away in confusion.
"Wha?! Huh?!" the weredog/mage tripped over someone who yelped out and moved away to safety.
"Good morning..." Isaiah hummed.
"Morning?? Oh yeah... Can't believe I forgot about this..." Ken rose onto his feet and then grunted while brining a paw up to his head and scratching his ears in irritation.
"You're not a morning person are you Ken? This would be the second time we startled you since coming to live with you." The werecollie stated.
"Ugh...no. Is he okay?" Ken pointed to a motionless Ezekiel who was lying on his back and shallowly breathing.
"Hmmm...let me see..." Isaiah bent low and nuzzled his mate's stomach area while licking at the fur along his chest.
The former alpha groaned and whined making the pack laugh quietly. Getting a shushing noise from Ken cut the chatter short and soon Isaiah was lapping at the wolf/hound's sheath and sac. This made the other squirm in his sleep before a tiny bit of pick made its way out of the dark tube of flesh. The little tip was brushed over by a broad tongue and Isaiah murred at the taste while the rest of the pack were staring in awe and making whimpering sounds. Sheaths bulged and a heavy scent of arousal filled the large cave as the werecollie laved over the head of his mate's cock that rose further and further from the furry holder into the wet muzzle of the former beta.
Ken gaped as he looked at the doggy dick that pulsed and seeped small beads of clear, musky fluid. The thick smell made the pack hunch into the air reflexively and bark out as their morning erections filled out for all to see. The new alpha swallowed heavily as he noticed the canine lengths coming out of their individual tubes and Kendrick couldn't help but drool in want while a small strand of crimson gushed from his black nose.
"mmm...huh?" It was about this time that Ezekiel chose to wake up and looked down to see his malehood being sucked on by his lover.
Not wanting to stop the proceedings, the former alpha let his mate do as he wished as he bit his tongue at the way Isaiah brought him close to the edge of relief. It was the way the werecollie would trail his warm and moist appendage over the head of his cock that made Ezekiel bark and hump forward. After years of being together, it was with no small amount of effort that the werecollie put into sucking his mate. Twisting his tongue and then dipping the narrow tip into Ezekiel's slit made the former alpha growl happily as his balls drew close to his sheath with pent up semen.
"Oh...goof morfin'..." Isaiah spoke around the dick in his muzzle before sliding slowly back off of the red organ and then giving a wet pop with his lips when he finally released the length.
"Good morning to you too... Why did you stop?" Ezekiel was between ecstasy and disbelief as he stared at his lover.
"Because the children are watching." Isaiah pointed over to the pack who were looking at the former alpha and beta with lecherous smiles on their faces and even Ken was mildly amused while hiding his arousal with his strategically placed paws.
Ezekiel growled low in his throat making the others back away slowly while Ken walked in between the pack and then horny wolfhound were. The former alpha was surprised by Ken's actions but chose to press the issue with another warning growl. The new weredog didn't back down however, instead Ken chose to glare at Ezekiel while the wolfhound weredog bared his fangs at the new alpha.
A sharp pain to his tail made Ezekiel look back to see Isaiah with his fangs around his tail. The werecollie had a good grip on the former alpha's furry appendage and the way his teeth sunk pass the fur to the thin tail made Ezekiel wince before backing down from his challenge. Once the semi-fight had died down from the older weredog, Isaiah let his mate go and walked up to his face and then nipped him on the muzzle like an insolent pup.
Kendric chuckled quietly but said nothing more as he felt Ezekiel's burning gaze on his back. Instead he chose to open his mouth and speak when a heavy rumble shook the cave and tossed the pack onto the ground. The trembling kept up for two minutes and then died as fast as they had come but still everyone kept their position on the ground, just in case. Ken was the first to move as he steadied himself and checked on each member of his pack getting a status report.
The worst to be shaken was Zeek and Zan, the younger twins, who had never had the experience of being in an earthquake before. The others cooped well as they got onto their paws and shook away the fear coursing through them. Ken took his time in leaving the cave while making sure that everyone stayed behind.
'Something's wrong. The Elder Forest isn't prone to earthquakes.' Kendric thought before he gasped at the sight before him.
Where once had been a lush forest, now stood a bleak field filled with black trees and an empty wasteland. The air was stagnant and heavy, no birds flew in the black clouded sky, and worse the new alpha could see a volcano in the distance puffing out large volumes of ash and smoke.
'How the hell did we get to Helmelia!!!' Ken barked.
