Nicholas doesn't give things time like he should and Koren is feeling pain she doesn't fully understand I am sure.
Alex let out a soft groan as he left his room the morning after meeting with Nicholas. Alex felt a bit of dread knowing there was that chance of Nicholas just up and leaving with Koren but he had to at least try and hope he could keep the woman he was in love with. As he made his way down the hall he was almost tackled by Koren. Alex stumbled back a bit and gently gripped onto her shoulders while the feline was purring and nuzzling her face against his chest a few times before lifting her head and looking to him, blushing and smiling. "Morning Alex." He smiled and gently ran his thumb along her cheek as he spoke softly. "Good morning Kitten...sleep well?" Koren nodded and gently held his hand against the side of her face, locking her eyes onto his as she smiled more. "Yes...I spent a long time talking with daddy...he is still angry over the war...and he is very edgy on what kinda...agreement your wanting to come to." Alex gently took her hand into his own and laced their fingers together as he moved to walk with her to the dining hall for breakfast. "Well I am hoping we can come to the agreement of mixing the kingdoms." Koren looked to him and tilted her ehad to the side some with a curious look ocming to her face.
"I want your kingdom and mine ot mix...anthros living among humans Koren...you have taught me more then oyu would think." Alex looked to her and smiled when he saw the bright blush coming to her face. Koren nodded some and purred as she gently squeezed his hand. Alex stopped a few feet away from the dining hall and pulled Koren against him, hugging her as he kissed her forehead softly a few times. Koren blushed and purred as she returned the hug, smiling as she looked at him. "I am sure you will be able to come to an agreement with him." Alex chuckled, hoping she was right as he moved to walk with her into the dining hall where her father was already sitting, rubbing his forehead as if he was fighting off a headache.
Koren let go of Alex's hand and moved to her fathers side, sitting beside him and gently placing her hand on his arm. "Daddy?" Nicholas stood his ears up and looked to her ebfore he smiled faintly to her. "It is alright Koren just tired from the traveling even after sleeping last night." Koren nodded some while Alex sat across from him. "My Doctor can give you something for it." Nicholas looked to him and folded his ears back against his head. "I don't need anything from your...Doctor." Alex stiffened up some and nodded a bit while the maidss began laying out foods for them to eat. Koren folded her ears back and looked at Nicholas. "Daddy! Don't be rude...he is offering to help you feel better." Nicholas looked to her and shook his head. "Or to poision me.." Koren looked at him and sighed, shaking her head a bit.
Alex just sat there in silence, watching them as he sipped on his juice. Koren kept her ears laid back as she turned away from her father to start eating. The maids left them be and soon enough Alex looked to Koren. "You have been wanting to see more of the kingdom right?" Koren stood her ears up and looked to him before nodding a bit. "Yes." Alex smiled to her and nodded a bit. "Then how about after breakfast I have a carri-" Nicholas snarled softly and stood up. "No...she will not be exploring this kingdom boy...we can have peace and trade...but she will have nothing to do with you or this kingdom." Alex blinked and looked to him while Koren looked up at him as well. "DAddy!" Nicholas held his hand up to her to silence her as he looked to her. "While you have been here another anthro king stepped forward to offer his son to you for marraige...we are going home and your going to be wed to this prince.." Koren and Alex both went wide eyed while Alex stood up. "You had no intention of even considering some sort of peace between my kingdom and yours!" Nicholas looked to him and growled softly. "Exactly boy...your still a young king and don't know what your doing...not to mention kidnapping my daughter and doing god knows what to her..." Alex frowned and glared at Nicholas while Koren was tearing up. "And you clearly don't care if she is happy or not!" Nicholas slammed his hands down on the table, snarling as his face was only inches from Alex's "And you do? You and your father took her from me and kept her away. I didn't know if she was alright until your letter came. What makes you think you know what would make her happy? What makes you think I believe that you care for her?" Alex growled and let his voice rise as he stood up right a bit taller then he had been. "Because I love her otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to send that letter in the first place. I couldn't stand seeing her home sick and wanting to see you again knowing that being away from you and her mother was killing her." Koren and Nicholas both stared at him in shock for a moment.
"Rather convenent that your just now addmiting to feelings for her..." Nicholas stood up right and snarled. "I am taking her home today...she will not marry you and you will not see her again." Koren felt like her heart was lodged in her throat as tears rolled down her cheeks. She stood up and moved away from her father, looking up at him before moving around the table to Alex as he turned away. She grabbed a hold of his hands and looked to him, looking him in the eyes. "D...do you mean it?" Nicholas stood his ears up, watching her in anger while Alex gently brought her hands up to his lips, kissing over her fingers a few times and nodding. "Yes...I wanted the choice to be yours...on if you stay or go home." Koren was about to speak when Nicholas growled. "I am taking her home. "Koren come on.." Koren blinked and looked to her father ebfore shaking her head. "No daddy." Nicholas folded his ears back and moved to her, grabbing her by her arm and pulling her away from Nicholas. "It wasn't a suggestion little girl.." Nicholas turned and pulled Koren with him to leave the castle with her pulling as hard as she could to get free of him. "Daddy! Let go! Your hurting my arm!" She hissed and whined, turning her head to look at Alex over her shoulder while he was following the two of them. "You really think some prince she doesn't know will care about her?! Do you really think that is what she wants? To be wed off to someone like that without it being her choice or even having a say in the matter?" Nicholas whirled around and snarled at him. "Shut your mouth boy. She barely knows you. She is my daughter and will do as I tell her to do." Nicholas moved to his own carriage that was waiting outside in the court yard for them. Koren managed to reach out and grab Alex's hand, whimpering as he looked at her while gripping her hand in return. " Koren will make her choice one way or another and you won't be able to stop her." Alex looked at Koren while he spoke as if hinting to her that she would see him again sooner or later. Nicholas pulled Koren away from him and shoved her into the carriage before turning to face Alex. "Come near my kingdom or try to contact her and you will have hell to pay." Nicholas stared at Alex in silence before finally getting into the carriage with his daughter, sitting back as it took off out of the court yard and back to his own kingdom leaving Alex standing there feeling defeated as he watched Koren look back at him through the small window in the back of the carriage, tears streaming down her face.
