"Yes, mother. I love him! Although he is bad, we can help him so that he would become a better King than Scar." She replies back, smiling up at her mother. Sarafina nods back, respecting her daughter's decision in the matter. They agreed to follow Banzai's rule but if he ever were to step out of line then they would kill him. Nala nods, agreeing to those terms and decides to wait out for the night with the lionesses.

That night, Scar calls a meeting with the hyenas leaving only Banzai to be on watch which gives them all the perfect opportunity to run away. He comes for Nala and the other lionesses and gives the all clear as they all slip away from Pride Rock and run off with Nala and Banzai leading. Nala never realizes that during her passionate mating with Banzai, she had gone into season early and was pregnant with his cubs. They were running for several hours before they all come upon a lush jungle in the distance. Nala and Banzai look at each other and then behind them at the tired lionesses who rejoice as the jungle was in view while the two lovers smile at them. "We are home."
