"I'll have the portal to Midnight Mountain ready in approximately 30 minutes, Spyro." The professor announced while flipping switches, pulling levers and turning knobs on his teleporter.
"30 minutes? Why so long?" The dragon inquired, looking confusedly over at the genius mole.
"I may be a genius, but I'm not THAT much of a genius! I haven't found a way to make the teleporter start up quickly."
"Oh great, more waiting." Sparx sighed, bringing his palm to his face.
"Well, you two could go fetch me some ice cream while you wait..." The professor added, looking back at the two for a second.
"Better than just sitting here doing nothing." Spyro answered, before turning and walking towards the door.
"Jeez, you'd think the guy would be smart enough to just make his own ice cream machine." Sparx glared back at the mole for a second as he left the lab with Spyro. "Now I agree with you there, Sparx." Spyro chuckled, walking out of the lab, seeing it was cloudy outside, and looked like it was about to rain. "Better hurry, before it starts to rain..." He sighed, before taking off into a charge.
"Hey! Wait up!! You know I can't keep up with you when you do that!" Sparx shouted as he zipped after the dragon.
Meanwhile, at the peak of one of the mountains in the north...
"Damn that Balgaar..." Avalyn growled, glaring down at the large base in the distance. "I try my best, and get treated like this...and then he treats me like a damn whore! Why can't he just go get the dragon himself?!" she looked down at herself, looking over her swollen belly, the huge amount of seed inside her still seeping out of her tailhole.
"He's never done anything for me, except order me around...I don't even see any reason I should work for him, anymore!" She growled loudly in anger.
Back at the lab...
"Hey, we're back, old man." Sparx blurted out as he came into the lab, Spyro coming up behind him, carrying a bucket of Rocky Road in his mouth. "Very good! I've gotten the portal working, now." The professor nearly squealed in joy as the dragon arrived with the ice cream. "Give it here, Spyro!"
"Okay, okay..." Spyro chuckled, setting the bucket down, and sliding it over towards the mole, before looking at the giant, purple swirl being created by the large machine.
"Uhh, is this safe? We're not gonna like, come out with a limb missing?" Sparx asked, flying up to the portal and sticking his finger into the purple swirl experimentally.
"Oh of course not, Sparx. This model is the same one that Spyro used when Red was in charge of the bad guys." The professor answered, slipping a spoon from his lab coat, and starting to devour the ice cream.
"Oh great... being sucked down a virtual pipe once more." Spyro sighed, shaking his head a couple times, but stepped into the portal, which sucked him in with a small flash.
"Hey! Don't you leave without me now!" Spark shouted as he zipped into the portal, following Spyro.
Midnight Mountain
There was another flash, the dragon and dragonfly appearing at Midnight Mountain, right in the middle of the small floating island. "Ooooghhh... that was some... weird teleport..." Sparx flew around dizzily, suddenly placing his claws over his mouth, looking quite green in the face.
"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad." Spyro chuckled, before turning around, seeing a few wizards from Crystal Islands running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
"RUN! RUN! Oh I knew I shouldn't have let him do that trick with the dynamite!!" One shouted as he ran, smacking straight into Spyro, knocking himself and the dragon over.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" Spyro growled, shaking his head as he got back up. "What're you running around like crazy for?"
"It's horrible! There was this big blue dragon, here, and he terrorized us all! And now, my friend is doing tricks with dynamite!" The wizard was nearly shouting, panting as he was out of breath now.
"Big blue dragon?" was all Spyro heard, focusing on the nutty magician. "Where?"
"He came from Agent 9's lab, and he was carrying some big laser machine. But don't worry about him, there's bigger things to run from!" He added, before taking off again, this time heading back to where he came from. "Ahh...that must be why there's a million clones of him, there. Doesn't that Blue guy ever get bored?" Sparx questioned himself, seeing Spyro had already started towards Agent 9's lab. "Again with the leaving without me!"
Spyro didn't respond, he was too busy focusing on getting to Agent 9's lab. Dashing through the portal, he quickly found himself at the island lab, Sparx coming through the portal behind him.
"Hey!...wait up...will ya?!" Sparx panted heavily, flying over and landing on top of Spyro's head. "I know you're all 'Oh gotta save Ember!' But we're in no rush, here!"
"You don't understand, Sparx...forget it." Spyro sighed, walking over the bridge and to the main lab entrance.
Inside, Agent 9 had finally gathered all the clones, which had been a very hard task to accomplish. "Okay, clones, I'm going to get rid of you all." He announced, setting the large blaster in his paws to "Delete Clones", and aiming it at them.
"Wait wait wait!!" One of them shouted out, waving his hand in the air.
Agent 9 sighed. "What is it?" "I needa go to the bathroom!" The clone answered, bending one leg over the other, shaking up and down.
"And I'm hungry!" Another one shouted out, holding his stomach.
"Who put YOU in charge, huh? How do we even know that you're not just another clone?" A third one questioned, tapping his foot.
"Jeez...am I really this annoying?" The monkey thought, but charged the blaster even more, not answering the questions from the clones. "Hasta Luego!" He called out, before blasting the gun, a blinding flash filling the room. Once it cleared, all the clones were gone from sight, Agent 9 letting out a sigh of relief, setting the weapon down next to him. "Finally... never doing that again."
"Whoa! I didn't know I was gonna be needing my sunglasses!" Sparx blurted out as he and Spyro entered the lab through the door, which had been irresponsibly left open. "Was there a fireworks show in here?"
"Heeyy Spyro! Finally made it!" The monkey jumped down from the platform he had been standing on, approaching Spyro, shaking his claw. "I got rid of the clones, finally, but there's still the matter of that-" "Big blue dragon." Spyro finished. "Which way did he go?"
"Ahh...big blue dragon, huh? Oh yeah, the old geezer. He went that way." Agent 9 pointed out the door and to the east. "Watch out, though. He hasn't had a nap in a while, so he's real cranky."
"Real cranky huh. Sounds like him" Spyro added, and focused his view to where the monkey was pointing. The dragon narrowed his eyes, "That's the way to Evening Lake's Fireworks Factory... what is he going to do there?" he thought, and started to charge-run his way towards the appointed direction.
"Hey! Was nice to see you again, too!" Agent 9 said out loud, waving a paw in the air as a good-bye gest.
At the aerie of the laboratory, Spyro stood in front of the magnificent row of teleporters and portals, each of them appointing different warps. The young dragon looked around for Fireworks Factory, it was his best lead for now. Spyro strode around until he found it, grinning, the dragon took a step forward.
"Hey, Spyro..." Sparx said as he came flying. "Hey buddy chill a bit, you're letting this confrontation between you and the gramps' really get to you!" the insect buzzed in front, patting his head a bit. "C'mon Sparx, you don't have to worry" Spyro chuckled, "You know I know how to keep my cool, especially in front of big bad bosses like these, heh."
"True, but hey, no need to get all hasty and running alone risking yourself like that! Ya hear me? There's no need for you to get careless and let mega-giant-knuckle-head-scale-face burn the roost out of everybody nearby. That's all I'm saying!"
Spyro blinked, but shrugged it off, "Don't worry, pal, now I can control it!" he said, chuckling, "Remember the professor gave me the bracelet! Besides, I'm not alone."
"Well damn straight you're not!" Agent 9 popped out from a ventilation-shaft, "Got the best Agent at job in the world for your aid!"
"Agent 9!" Spyro gasped, turning to look at the monkey, "But, shouldn't you stay and take care of the lab?"
"Don't worry, I'll leave a clone to take care of things here!" Agent 9 grinned, "Hehe, let's give the lil' rascal a good ass kicking!"
"Wow, somebody'd think the last cloning plan had taught you a lesson!" Sparx rolled his eyes. "Don't worry, Plan B.A.N's been mixed with Plan A.N.A, so I made a clone that will keep things tidy and he won't eat any of my bananas!" he chuckled and gave Spyro a pat in the back, "Let's go to the factories!"
Spyro nodded. "Let's go, then!" He exclaimed as he jumped into the portal, Sparx and Agent 9 following after him.
They all arrived at the entrance to Fireworks Factory, seeing that the place had been beaten up pretty badly; with a smokestack coming from the castle.
"Whoa! What the heck happened here?" Sparx questioned, glancing around. "Looks like a tornado hit."
"I wouldn't doubt that Blue's been here. C'mon." Spyro started charging towards the castle.
"Hey! Wait for us Spyro!" Agent 9 called out, running after the dragon with Sparx flying by his head. They reached the castle in a few minutes, the two children that he had met last time he was here were outside it.
"Oh! Hewwo spywo!" The girl exclaimed, waving to the dragon. "We're just waiting for the big bwue dwagon to leave."
Spyro nodded. "I see. Well, that's what we came here to take care of. Step aside, if you will." He said calmly, walking past the two karate kids, and up to the large door. "Ah, don't worry! I'll use my super door-opener 9001!" Agent 9 stepped forward, taking a little marble out of his pocket, and placing it in his raygun; which he fired at the door, blasting it open.
"Oh well, there goes the element of surprise." Sparx snapped, flying in after Spyro.
"Blue! Where are you?!" The dragon shouted out, looking around the dark room, all the lights having been blown out.
"Oh, funny you showed up here, Spyro." The dragon's voice seemed to come from all directions, and was very loud.
"Show yourself, you coward!" Spyro growled, and suddenly there was a large flame lighting the room, and revealing the blue dragon's location.
"Hello there, whelpling. I'm guessing you've come to defeat me, once more?" He said in a confident voice, smirking.
"Damn right! Now come on! Let's go!" Spyro grinned as well, using the power of the bracelet he was given, and transforming to his larger self, the smirk remaining on Spyro's face.
"Ggrr...not again..." Blue growled, extinguishing the flame. "Let's see you try and beat me in the dark, then!" "Oh? Dark, huh...I know!" Agent 9 took a small device off his belt, and hurled it at the ceiling, attaching when it hit, and emitting a very bright light, lighting up the whole room.
Just as it lit Blue was about to punch Spyro right in the face, and he caught the dragon's fist, then catching the other when he tried to punch again. Spyro grinned, and lifted the dragon up, tossing him across the room, making him smack into the wall with a large rumble.
"Yeah! Give em' the old one-two buckle-my-shoe, Spyro!" Sparx cheered, getting a sweat-drop from the large dragon.
Blue smirked though, slumped over against the wall near the laser machine. "You think you've got me beat, do you?" He said, letting out a meniacal laugh. "Let's see how you fair against me when I'm huge!" He added, getting up and yanking the lever on the machine, blasting himself with the laser.
He let out a roar as massive amounts of energy and radiation were forced into his body, making him slowly grow larger and more powerful at a quick rate. As he grew, his tails split into two with a gruesome sound. Blue had not been expecting this, it was nothing he had ever felt before, but it was making his body hurt from the radiation of the beam. Trying to keep calm, Blue looked at himself, he was still augmenting in size as he had planned; the pain insisted, however, and as he came across to seeing his right arm he could see it started to deteriorate, the scales, then the flesh around it seemingly disappearing, burning away into ash, leaving only the bone. Spyro growled as he saw this, and made a dash for the dragon, shoving him off the laser beam, making the machine malfunction and turn off. He had Blue pinned down, who was now so large that his size equaled Spyro's, but he continued to grow, the smirk never leaving his snout.
"Bagh! Stupid old geezer!" Agent 9 dashed over to the laser, and grabbed it, screeching a little as he was shocked a bit. Growling, he pulled the machine away from the growing dragon, and rolled it outside, Sparx following.
"Yow! Now he's getting even scarier! Mommy!!" Sparx hid behind the machine as it was pushed away from the castle.
Spyro growled, finding it harder and harder to hold the dragon down as he grew, and was soon thrown off, Blue's height now surpassing Spyro's by quite a bit. "Come now, Spyro. You think you can beat me when I'm bigger than you?" He questioned as he hit twice Spyro's height, his head against the ceiling, and starting to break it as he grew more. His right arm now had no scales or flesh traces on it at all, but was completely made of bone, and shaped like a blade. Blue's voice sounded like a million drums being slammed at together at the same time, one could see that his pupils on his eyes had melted away, only two white eyeballs remained, and to his surprise, the giant dragon's jaw slit into two, forming a huge cavity between each of his lower rows of teeth and fangs. "Gotta stop his growth..." Spyro thought as he exited the crumbling castle. Blue's head and arms were coming out of the roof as he quickly reached 100 feet tall, letting out a loud roar and smashing the castle to bits with his claws. He now had two heads from the horrible radiation, both roaring at the same time, showing off the same malformed details on his jaws.
"Feel my power, Spyro!!" He roared, raising his foot, and stomping it over the dragon, only to find that it was pushed up some.
Spyro growled and snarled, using all his strength to hold the foot up, looking back at Sparx, the two kids and Agent 9 next to him. That look was all they needed to see, and the quickly ran off towards the portal, Sparx crying out in fear.
"Ggrrh...so, you're still trying to resist me, Spyro?" Blue growled, his growth stopping at a gigantic 110 feet tall. "Resistance is futile, whelpling! My power is no boundless, it's infinite!!" He added, pressing his foot down even harder, Spyro finding it hard to hold him up.
"Ggrrrrh... d-damnit... can't give up... have to... save Ember... my friends... the entire dragon realms!!" He thought to himself, the bracelet crackling with electricity and the gem glowing a bright red, nearly tripling Spyro's strength. It also gave him some added height as well; his muscles bulged out greatly as his arms were covered in hard, bulging biceps, and his legs looking the same, but larger. To put it simply, his entire body was a mass of muscle, in the shape of a dragon's body. He let out a roar and shoved Blue's foot up, causing the dragon to tip over and fall on his back, making the ground shake and rumble as if there was an earthquake going on.
"Gaahhh!!" Blue roared out in pain as he fell on his back, Spyro taking action quickly by flying up the dragon's body, at speeds in excess of 100 mph, and struck Blue right in the chin of his second mouth, nearly breaking the bone, and causing him to let out an even louder roar of pain. However, Spyro had forgotten about the second head which turned its neck and aimed towards the muscle-bound creature. "GRROOAH!" it roared and suddenly let out a huge burst of flames towards Spyro, who was sent away, off into the air.
The powerful purple dragon growled, and then the growl turned into a mighty roar as Spyro stretched his wings; suddenly the fire that had been surrounding him before disappeared. Making Blue's heads gasp in surprise.
"Hah! See what you get when you mess with Spyro?!" Agent 9 grinned, watching the fight from afar with Sparx and the two kids, his arms crossed. "Damn pest!!" Blue grabbed the dragon with his left arm, and squeezed him tightly, but Spyro easily pushed the fingers apart, squeezing free from Blue's grip. He flew back up into the air, and swooped downwards towards the dragon's stomach, only to be swatted away by the bone-arm, hitting the ground hard.
He felt the dragon's hand squeezing around him again, this time even harder, making the berserk dragon growl loudly in pain. "This is what happens when you try to fight the almighty Blue!" Blue smirked, squeezing the dragon even harder, enjoying watching Spyro roar out in pain as his body was being crushed.
"Gah...stay here, Sparx. Spyro needs my help!" Agent 9 told the dragonfly, before running up towards the giant blue monster, taking a coconut-shaped grenade from his belt. "Eat this, gramps!!" He shouted, before hurling it at the dragon, quickly grabbing another and getting ready to throw it.
The bomb exploded on Blue's side, producing a loud sound and a bright flash, blinding the dragon temporarily as the second bomb was thrown, that one producing a stronger blast, the large dragon growling. "What now?!" Blue growled, looking down at his side, seeing the monkey firing his gun. "Get out of here, you!" he roared, bringing his free claw up, and slamming it down over the ape.
"Hah! Nice try, gramps!" Agent 9 chuckled, the claw too big to crush him completely. He attached a mine to Blue's claw, and then lay down, pretending to be dead.
Blue lifted his claw again, and grinned, seeing the nonmoving figure. "Hah, too easy...now..." He turned back to Spyro. "Time to end you, little dragon." He opened his right maw, a large flame forming in his mouth.
Spyro could only growl and grunt, trying with all his strength to break free of the dragon's grasp, when he heard an explosion and a roar.
"GAAAHH!!!" Blue dropped the dragon, and grasped his other claw, which was bleeding from the explosion, which had cut some of his scales.
Dropping down onto the dragon's stomach, Spyro let out a fierce growl, spreading his huge wings and taking flight once more, flying up high as Blue was still focused on his bleeding claw. "Where's that monkey?!" He snarled, seeing that Agent 9 was gone from where he was. "When I get my hands on that...huh?" He noticed Spyro was gone as well, letting out an annoyed growl.
Spyro turned around once he was at least 1000 feet over Blue, and flew down towards the dragon's head, coming down fast, and just as the giant dragon noticed Spyro, he struck hard straight into Blue's left forehead, so hard that it knocked the dragon out, breaking through the scales a little bit as well, and this time, Spyro just 'wall'-kicked Blue's left head, only to jump towards the other one with all of his momentum, before it could counter. Spyro growled and delivered a round-house straight to Blue's right malformed-jaw, almost making the neck on it spin.
Spyro let out a loud roar, continuing his assault on the huge blue dragon, flying up over the snout and then flew low over Blue's belly, letting his claws down to rake across the scales, leaving long cuts all the way down the dragon's stomach. Then, flying up high again, he opened his maw wide, starting to blast huge fireballs everywhere over the blue dragon, not wanting to stop until the dragon was dead. "Hey, why hasn't he stopped yet? The guy's already knocked out!" Sparx questioned, watching Spyro relentlessly assault Blue.
"Maybe it's got something to do with the bracelet?" Agent 9 theorized, popping up behind Sparx.
"Oh! The bracelet! That's right, Spyro's not supposed to overuse it!" Sparx sighed, facepalming. "Now we've gotta stop him..."
"Ah, I've got just the thing!" Agent 9 pulled out a banana from a side-pouch on his belt, peeling it and starting to eat.
"How is that supposed to help?! Normally I'd be all for sitting down, taking a break and having a snack, but we've got a bloodthirsty, scary dragon on the loose!"
Agent 9 shook his head, swallowing. "Nope, nope, this is just to get my strength up. I was hungry, ya know?" He said with a chuckle, taking out a red sphere, about the size of a golf ball, from his belt. "THIS is all we need!"
Sparx blinked, looking at the little red ball, but shrugged. "With you, I can never tell what gadget you're going to take out next."
"Now, off I go!" Agent 9 exclaimed before taking off towards the castle once more, taking a large straw off his belt. "One good shot and he'll be done for." Meanwhile, the effects of Blue's transformation were wearing off, making him slowly shrink back down again, and his body return to normal once more. But Spyro wasn't letting up, though, and he continued to attack the dragon in any way he could; Blue now very beat up with bruises and bleeding cuts all over his body to even be able to lift any of his heads.
"HEY! SPYRO!!" Agent 9 shouted, waving to the smaller dragon, holding the pea-shooter behind his back. "OVER HERE!"
"Ggrrh?" Spryo turned towards Agent 9, his berserk mind thinking the monkey was another enemy, so he charged, maw wide open, ready to just slice through the ape.
"That's it...come closer..." Agent 9 brought the straw to his mouth, and as soon as Spyro was 50 feet away, he fired it and dodged out of the way, just barely being grazed by the dragon's claws.
Spyro had swallowed the red sphere, landing on the ground and looking around for Agent 9, who had hid in a couple bushes. Not finding the chimp, he headed back to Blue, who was back to normal again, and picked the dragon up by the neck. Growling fiercely, he slashed the dragon's neck wide open, and threw him to the ground, crushing the neck with his large foot, then letting out a loud roar, raising his snout towards the sky.
"Any second now..." Agent 9 watched the dragon, who was looking around for a new target, and began to walk, eyes mid-closed in fatigue. "Yes! There we go. He'll be out in seconds."
Spyro's nostrils released steam, hearing Agent 9, and stomping over to the bushes, ripping them up off the ground and snarling to showing his fangs.
"Oh...crap..." the monkey looked up at the fierce, muscular dragon, pupils shrinking in fear as that dragon raised it's claw up, preparing to swipe, but hesitated, shaking a little bit, before collapsing backwards with a heavy thud. "Whew..." The agent stood up again, looking at the sleeping dragon. "That was close..."
Spyro growled softly in his sleep, slowly reverting back to his old self; all his muscle shrinking down as he went into his regular berserk form, then shrunk even more down to his normal form, groaning slightly. "Better take 'em back..." Agent 9 gently lifted the snoring dragon, and carried him back to the others.
"Wagh!? Is he dead?! Agent 9 how could you!" Sparx snapped, glaring.
"No, he's not dead. Just asleep." He set Spyro down on the seat of the machine. "Come on, let's get this back to the lab. Will you two be okay?" He asked, turning towards the kids.
"Yes! We'll rebuiwd castle fast!" The boy answered, nodding.
"Good. See you later." Agent 9 nodded back to them, before pushing the machine through the portal, and entering it with Sparx.
To Be Continued...
