Chapter 4: Secrets left untold Miles sat up out of his bed glared at his alarm clock. He was woken up from another one of his dreams about Aidan. Miles nodded as the bell rang. After class Aidan headed to his last class of the day. It went by as usual. Mr. Harper watched the fox from his desk as he stood up and headed to the door. "Aidan? Mind coming here for a moment?" The older raccoon said making Aidan stop in his tracks. The door closed with the last fur leaving. "Aidan, I hear there was a fight last Friday between you and another one of your classmates. Mind telling me about it?" Aidan flinched as he recalled when Chris attacked him. He flattened his ears and shook his head." The raccoon nodded slowly, "You know all the students are talking about you. My ears are on fire with all the gossip floating around about you." Aidan nodded knowing what was coming. "Aidan, There is only one thing I want you to know. Be who you are. No one, Nothing can change who you are, Okay? Especially not some muscle headed lion." Aidan looked up looking right at the raccoon shocked, "Wait, A-Are you?" The raccoon smiled and nodded slowly, "It's nothing to be ashamed up Aidan. Also I want you to know, attacking a person purely based on the fact that he is gay is something that it not tolerated in this school. I had a talk with your principal, Chris is getting expelled from this school, and the police are going to have a little talk with him too." Aidan smiled and nodded, "Wow, Th-thank you Mr. Harper!" Mr. Harper nodded and smiled back, "Have a nice day Aidan." Aidan turned and ran out of the room smiling happily. He ran to the commons and found Miles waiting for him. The two friends walked out to the raccoons car. Miles was watching Aidan out of the corner of his eye. "So guess what!" Aidan blurted out catching Miles off guard. Miles looked over at Aidan confused, "Umm, What?" "I found out that a raccoon in the school is gay." Aidan looked at Miles and grinned. Miles felt a panic settle in his heart as he tried to figure out Aidan could have known. "Umm How di..." Miles said before getting cut off by the Fox. "Mr. Harper! Do you believe it?" Aidan said as he grabbed the car door tossing his backpack into the backseat. Miles followed hopping into the driver's seat and starting his car. He felt a sudden relief as the fox spoke. Aidan just laughed and slumped into the seat a little bit sighing happily. "So you really are okay with me being gay aren't you?" Aidan asked suddenly. Miles nodded slowly, "Aidan, I told you Friday, You're my best friend, I'll be here for you no matter what." Aidan waved bye to Miles as he stepped into his house. He dropped his backpack on the floor and kicked off his shoes. The fox went downstairs and jumped onto his bed hugging his pillow tight. Slowly he got up and started walking towards the raccoon's house. * * * Ah! This seems like that perfect time to stop, because I'm an asshole and like to keep people in suspense! Anyway!
