A song of union
#1 of Together in song
Here's submission number four here on Yiffstar from me, with undoubtedly more entering the works in the future at some point, perhaps even another series. Anyone wants to catch me, I hang around the forums and chat every so often. Just thought I'd say =^.^=
Anyway, I'm sure we've all fantasized about being with celebrities or someone imaginary that we've seen, so just know that that's kind of where this particular story came from. As always, hope you enjoy =^.^=
It could easily be said that Aria was a big fan of a local, little-known singer. While she'd claim that she was the singer's biggest fan, that might not be a completely accurate statement, though there was no doubt that she was up there somewhere.
It had been two years since the singer in question had come to the city and persuaded the local entertainment bar owner to give her a chance on the stage. Aria, a young fourteen-year-old skunk anthropomorph, or anthro for short, a creature with a mostly human shape but more animal features such as fur, ears, tails, etc., was among those in attendance that night, out to dinner in the bar with her parents.
The first thing Aria could think of was that the woman, who seemed around ten years older than her, looked a little nervous on the stage, but was quickly revealed to have a beautiful voice, and everyone in the bar at that time applauded her before the vixen, appropriately named Melody, bowed, smiling, and left the stage.
After that, Aria had taken to singing practice on her own in her room, occasionally in front of her parents, wanting to know what they thought of it. More than once they offered to get her a teacher of some sort, but she refused, wanting to get better 'her own way'.
More and more she practiced in her room, more and more she begged her parents to let her go to the entertainment bar for dinner on the nights she knew that vixen singer would be there, her parents eventually giving up and letting her go off on her own, considering it wasn't a bad neighborhood and the bar was just a few blocks down anyway. She readily noticed that she wasn't the only one consistently coming; there were a few others, such as an older wolf male, and a more youthful couple. Not that she really cared, she was just in it to listen to the woman's pleasant voice, her songs that she apparently wrote on her own, something Aria herself was struggling to get through for even one full song.
Two years later, she'd gotten into an argument with her new boyfriend over her habit of visiting that bar regularly, though it could be argued that he was just going out with her for help with his homework. The boy was a buck and a classic jock, good at sports but not so good at academics. Aria, on the other hand, wasn't very athletic, though she was flexible, was kind of a bookworm complete with glasses, and had been called stinky more than once for the simple fact that she was a skunk, regardless of whether or not she actually did stink, which her few friends said she never did. They might not've been being honest, she couldn't have been able to tell. It's a known fact one's own scent is difficult to detect, however good your nose is.
"Why do you even like that music? It's got no beat to it or anything!" the buck, Jason, argued.
"Because it's pleasant, not like that 'heavy metal' or whatever it is that you play," Aria commented, not the slightest bit of an argumentative tone in her voice.
"You better not dis the music I like again..." Jason threatened.
"Why not? You're dissing mine."
"Stupid..." the buck started, smacking Aria's face with the back of his powerful hand and knocking her to the ground. "Fine, go to your lousy bar tonight! But you'd better not go there again, or I'll be coming after you!" with that, he stormed away from her house, the two standing at the entrance.
Sighing lightly, fighting back the tears that were threatening to form, Aria proceeded to the bar, sitting down at her usual table, which she half-suspected the owner left open for her these nights along with some other tables for other regulars, who always seemed to be sitting in the same spot. Either that or it was just unusual coincidence, though since the owner was making money off such regulars, the former possibility seemed more likely.
Tonight Aria didn't look at the stage once, staring blankly at the table and absently taking the occasional sip of her soda, only just registering the two songs Melody was singing, too occupied by the fact that her boyfriend had insulted her for liking such music, wondering why she'd bothered staying with him in the first place.
Oh, right. He was popular. That ever-common point of attraction.
For a few more minutes, Aria just sat there, finishing her drink and refusing the offer for a refill from a passing waiter. Sighing once more, she got up to leave before being stopped by an all-too-familiar voice.
"You look upset. Boy troubles?" a friendly voice asked, and Aria gasped in surprise, looking up to find the vixen singer sitting two seats away from her at the circular table.
"M...um...y...yeah..." Aria managed to stammer out, nodding somewhat shakily. Melody. Here. Talking to her, of all people.
Giggling pleasantly, the vixen nodded knowingly. "They can definitely be tough to deal with sometimes, but fortunately not all of them are bad," she said. "Anyway, as you already know, my name's Melody. Mind if I ask yours?"
"Oh...um...Aria..." the skunk answered, still in slight shock that the singer was actually choosing to talk to her.
"Aria, huh? That's a nice name," she smiled, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Hm, I guess both of our names are a type of music," she commented, and both girls shared a giggle, more nervously on Aria's part. "So let me guess, the boy in question is just some punk, right?"
"Y...yeah..." Aria said, looking back down to the table and, realizing she was still standing, returning to her seat.
"Dump him, then, he's really not worth it," Melody said, quite forwardly. Not in a commanding tone, just a mild suggestion. "It's looking to me like he's some popular jock that's only with you for some help with his homework, am I right?"
Aria giggled softly, still a little nervously, and nodded, her eyes locked on the table at nothing in particular. Sure, what the vixen said was the truth, but when put so bluntly like that, it made her wonder why she'd ever allowed the relationship to start. "I would, but..." she trailed off.
"Does he know that you come here?" Melody asked.
"Yeah, and he totally hates it..."
"Come again next week, then, not that you don't come every week anyway," the vixen giggled softly, having noticed over the two years all those that came regularly when she was singing, one of the most prominent being the young skunk sitting a short ways away.
"Y...you actually noticed that I come here all the time?" the skunk asked, blushing slightly.
"I notice all the regulars, and figure they're the ones I can probably talk to the easiest," Melody smiled. "Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing you next week. Bring your 'boyfriend' along if you can, though knowing his type he'll probably come on his own anyway, since he knows you do and doesn't like it," she finished, walking off to the bar entrance to head home, the skunk staring after her, wondering what exactly she was planning. Hopefully nothing bad. Well, too bad, at least.
By the time that one week passed for the next show, Aria had failed to tell Jason that she was still going, though she'd never exactly said that she wasn't. Stupid though he was, he'd figure it out quickly enough while she was there, and no doubt show up true to his threat. What happened after that, she supposed, was up to Melody.
Sitting in her usual spot and looking a little nervous as the first song started, Aria kept her eyes mostly on the table, glancing back to the door every so often, not wanting to miss the moment that the buck stormed through after her, so she could get away quickly if need be. Not long after the second song started, she saw the door start to open, trying to make herself small as Jason's form appeared through it.
"Alright, where is she..." he muttered, his eyes darting around the bar, having made sure to at least open the door normally so that he wouldn't be paid any mind by the other patrons, who might decide to step in for all he knew. "Ah, there she is..." he smirked, catching the skunk's black ears and white hair with the help of his height, beginning to walk in that direction.
Looking up fearfully to Melody still on stage, the vixen simply smiled and winked in her direction, not missing a single beat of the song. The vixen giving a small nod in another direction, the skunk looked over curiously, wondering who she seemed to be signalling, risking a glance back after not finding anyone in particular at Jason, who was only one table away by now.
"I told you not to come here again, didn't I?" he growled, approaching the skunk. "Now come on, we're leaving, I've still got schoolwork that needs to get done," he demanded, reaching out to grab Aria's arm but being stopped short of doing so by a large paw smacking it away.
"She's not interested in you, punk. Now get lost and don't bother her again," a deep, strong voice spoke out, and Aria looked in surprise in its direction, the sight that met her certainly unexpected. A large black bear near her, taller than the buck and doubtless plenty stronger.
Taking a furious glance at the bear for a moment, Jason returned his anger-filled eyes to Aria. "I said come on. Now," he ordered.
"...no," Aria said, a little nervously, but her eyes showing some conviction, helped along by the fact that she had Melody and this bear on her side. "I'm done helping you with your schoolwork, so go find somebody else."
Balling his hands into fists, Jason caught the sound of the bear clearing his throat, and loosened them slightly, scoffing. "Fine, whatever. Ugly little freak..." he grumbled, walking angrily out of the bar, not bothering to open the door lightly this time, instead smacking it forward.
"Punk..." the bear muttered, watching the buck leave, and looked down to Aria with surprisingly calm, caring eyes. "You alright? Need anything?"
"Um...no..." Aria said, timidly looking up to the bear's face, which required her to tilt her head back slightly. "Thanks, I really appreciate it."
"No problem," the bear grinned, flashing semi-sharp teeth made for an omnivore. "I'm happy to help out any friend of Melody's. Aria, right?"
"Yeah. She told you, huh?" Aria giggled slightly, feeling more comfortable around this man now that she knew he wasn't so bad. "So what's yours?"
"Butch, pleasure to meet you," he said, offering his large paw in a friendly gesture, and Aria placed her hand, hardly comparative in size, against it, where he took it gently and shook it lightly, barely a movement required on his part. "Anyway, that's my job over, so I guess I should get going. See you around," he said, walking to the door, and the two waved each other good-bye, Aria suddenly realizing that the second song was over.
"So, problem taken care of, right?" Melody asked, taking the same seat she'd taken one week ago, smiling pleasantly.
"Oh...yeah..." Aria nodded, glancing back to the door for a moment before turning her gaze to the singer. "So was that...your boyfriend or something?"
"Boy..." Melody started, a surprised look in her eyes that quickly passed, and giggled amusedly. "No, he's just a close friend of mine, kind of like a protective big brother. Something he's obviously good at," she continued, and the two shared another giggle.
They went on to talk for a little while longer about how Melody met Butch when she was young, and had been afraid of him until he'd begun to stand up for her against the bullies that were constantly tormenting her, and the two had been close since, though there was too much of a size and species difference for the two to ever be mates. And anyway, they thought of each other quite strongly as unofficial brother and sister, so such thoughts never even came up.
Two weeks passed, the two chatting after each performance about some random topic, until the third week Aria entered the bar looking depressed again.
"What's wrong now?" Melody asked, concerned, confident now that they were close enough to sit in adjacent seats, instead of leaving one between them.
"Everyone in school...I'm tired of being ugly, and smelly, and everyone reminding me of it," Aria said quietly, staring down at the table. Indeed, once it was heard to be official that she and Jason were no longer together, the other kids at school, primarily the more popular ones, had returned to their insults, all directed at the sole fact that she was a skunk. To insult the fact that she was kind of a bookworm wouldn't be very well-met by the school as a whole since she was on the track and gymnastics teams, and was good at both.
"Well, you're certainly not smelly. I'm a fox, if anyone can tell, it's me," Melody said, smiling reassuringly. "So what if you are a skunk, anyway? It's just prejudice."
"I just...wish people would stop..." Aria muttered.
"Hm...how'd you like to go up on stage next week?" Melody asked, seeing Aria's eyes snap suddenly to her.
"Wha...the stage? I doubt the owner would let me..."
"Sure he would, he's pretty reasonable. I'll get you up on stage next week to do whatever you want, and ask everyone what they think of you after. If they think you're ugly and smelly, then I won't argue against it, but if they don't, then you should listen to them."
"Um...ok..." Aria said, nervousness starting to build at the prospect of trying to do something in front of a small crowd of people.
"Well, I guess I'll get going for now. I look forward to seeing you next week," Melody smiled, walking out of the bar and leaving Aria to rush frantically home once she was sure the vixen was nowhere she could see her. That week found her working harder than ever to finish that song that she'd finally brought close to completion over recent months, though the prospect of revealing it to the other patrons of the bar before anyone else was definitely unnerving, and over the next week she found it hard to pay attention to anything but the song, even school.
The week passed as if a rushed dream, her focus only ahead a dropping number of days, and without even saying or waving goodbye to her parents, she rushed out the door when the time came near for Melody's performance to start, hoping in the back of her mind that she wouldn't be allowed to be put on stage.
Melody was there to greet her at the door, however, and smiled when the skunk came into view.
"Well, you're certainly in a hurry. Hope you've saved some energy for the stage," she giggled, though jogging a few blocks wasn't enough to get the skunk breathing very hard. The nervousness, however, was.
"I...guess so..." Aria said quietly, the sheet of paper that she'd wrote her song down upon left behind at home, its words memorized so she wouldn't embarass herself by having to look at it.
"Come on, the show's set to start soon," the vixen said, leading Aria into the bar, then to the back room where she'd never been, a fairly pleasant room that led straight out to the stage. Leaving her with a "Good luck," Melody left the room out to the bar, and Aria took a few deep breaths, looking out to the stage, the rest of the bar hidden by the room's entrance to the stage.
Walking out to the silenced stage after a moment, Aria turned to the people in their seats, blushing deeply at standing there displayed before them, finding Melody sitting in her usual seat. Allowing herself another deep breath, realizing that nobody probably even knew what she was going to do, she locked her gaze on the edge of the stage, walking up to the microphone and grasping it lightly, closing her eyes so she could block out the fact that there were others here watching her, all but one of whom she didn't think she knew.
Turning her mind to that sheet of paper sitting on the desk in her room, to the words on it, she began to sing, silence still otherwise ringing through the bar, affirming the fact she needed to believe that there was nobody else around. Helped along by this, she allowed her quiet but confident voice trail through the microphone, amplified in a few different areas of the bar by the speakers placed at strategic points. Forgetting everything else but what she was doing, alone, the red tint steadily faded from her cheeks until it was completely gone about halfway through her song.
Then came the dreaded moment. The song's completion, when the nervousness returned, as with the realization that she was performing right now for others, and the red tint rapidly returned to her cheeks, her nervousness almost causing her to miss a word. Trying to focus again just on the song, she got through the final verse without too much difficulty, opening her eyes to nothing in particular, almost trying to hide behind the microphone.
"So, what's everyone think?" another voice rang out through the speakers, and Aria realized that Melody was now standing right by her. "She's not ugly and smelly like everyone at school tells her, right?" As if in answer, there began the applause through the bar, even a few whistles, not the lewd kind but the praising kind, thrown in. "Hope you all don't mind if she takes one more song with me," Melody continued, throwing a wink in Aria's direction, who smiled faintly. Met with cheers at this proposition, Aria nodded slightly, and the song began, the two of them singing it, Aria having been such a frequent listener that she remembered the words easily, not so bothered by the fact that she was still displaying herself to others with her voice given that there was another up here with her, one she liked, trusted.
A short way through the song, Aria's hand accidentally brushed against one of the vixen's, which took it lightly, holding it in its soft embrace until after the song was over and they took a quick bow, Aria's free hand holding her glasses in place during it.
"I have to say, you surprised me," Melody said, the two girls sitting in their usual spots now that the performance was over, interrupted occasionally by praise from some other patrons as they left. "Didn't really expect you to get up there and sing something new."
"Um...should I not have?" Aria asked nervously, her face pointed mostly down to the table while her eyes were pointed in the vixen's direction.
"I certainly wouldn't say that. Didn't you hear? Everyone loved it!"
"I still wish I was pretty, like you...but I'm not..." Aria said, blushing.
"Of course you're not pretty," Melody gave a fake sigh, and smiled pleasantly, reaching up and cupping Aria's chin lightly with one of her hands, turning the skunk's face toward her. "You're beautiful, and don't even let anyone tell you you're not."
"Um...thanks..." Aria said timidly, nervously locking eyes with the vixen, who removed her hand.
"Well, hate to leave already, but I've got some cleaning up to do at the house," Melody giggled, getting up from her seat. "Can I count on you for next week?"
"W...yeah, definitely!" the skunk replied, the nervousness all but disappearing from her eyes, looking forward to another chance to be on stage with her favorite singer. Getting up, she hugged the vixen tightly, who blushed slightly for a moment but smiled and hugged her back, enjoying that moment.
The next week, Aria was able to mostly focus on school. Much more than the previous, but still somewhat distracted, waiting for that day to arrive again. Soon enough, it did, and once more she found herself on stage with Melody, a duet of one of the vixen's songs before the skunk was left on stage alone, more confident than last time, even giving a small smile as she gave an encore of her own song that she'd debuted the previous week.
"Hey, how'd you like to come over to my place one of these days? We don't really get to spend much time here, since I always have to leave," Melody suggested, giggling.
"Yeah, that sounds nice," Aria agreed. "I doubt my parents would really have a problem with it since they know I come here all the time anyway."
"Alright...how about tomorrow, then? It's Saturday so I know you don't have school."
"Sure! Um...what time?"
"Let's see...how about 1? I'll be awake enough by then since I usually get up around 11."
"1 it is," Aria nodded, smiling, and the conversation turned momentarily to how to get to Melody's house, directions that Aria mentally wrote down. With that, Melody had to leave as usual, and Aria got up to give her a hug goodbye, not as tight this time, surprised as the vixen held her a bit longer than she expected, her arms starting to move in anticipation of the vixen releasing her before stopping, realizing she wasn't.
"Hope you don't mind, but you really are cute and we seem to get along so well...and anyway, you are available as far as I can tell," Melody smiled pleasantly, meeting the skunk's eyes with hers.
'Available?' was all Aria could think briefly before something else happened. Vaguely realizing that Melody was leaning down a little, she felt a pair of soft lips against her own, noting that the vixen seemed to be blushing faintly, not even comparable to how red her own cheeks had suddenly turned. The kiss lasted but a moment before it was broken, the skunk finding herself at a loss for words.
"Sorry...can I...still expect you tomorrow?" Melody asked, a hint of nervousness in her voice that Aria hadn't heard there before, or ever expected to hear.
"Um...y...yes..." Aria replied a little breathlessly, and the two let go of each other, Melody wandering out of the bar, leaving Aria standing there, not really sure what to do at the moment.
She'd kissed her. She'd actually kissed her. For a few moments, she stood there, trying to convince herself that it was wrong as they were both girls, but she wasn't very successful. Jason, the only boy she'd ever had in her life, had kissed her maybe once; strong, forceful, overall not very pleasant. But the kiss she'd just received from the vixen had been light, gentle, more than pleasant.
Suddenly realizing that she was standing there like a fool, a hand on her lips, she snapped out of her reverie and rushed off home, asking her parents as soon as she came in if she could visit Melody at her house, which they allowed, apparently glad that she was 'making new friends'.
Waking up around 8, Saturday began to pass by all too slowly for the young skunk. Five hours, then four, then four and a half...if only it were possible to focus on something else right now. All that remained on her mind was what Melody had left her with, that kiss, which she hadn't even been able to react to.
Finally, 12:30 arrived and Aria set off, refusing her parents' offer to drive her over and opting instead to walk, to allow herself to have something occupying the rest of the time before the visit, even if that something wasn't much. Following the directions she'd been given, she found herself at a standard two-story house a few minutes before one, as she found out with her cell phone's clock, painted in a light pink color. She'd half-expected Melody to live somewhere more...luxurious, but supposed that this was fairly practical.
"Oh, Aria..." Melody spoke, opening the door to the knock she'd heard and finding herself blushing softly. "Not sure I expected you to actually come after...well...but come in, please..." she said a little nervously, stepping aside and motioning in, closing the door after Aria entered.
"Yeah, that was definitely...unexpected..." Aria said quietly, glancing over to the vixen.
"So...shall we listen to the radio and chat a little?" Melody suggested, receiving a nod in reply, and she led Aria into her living room over to the side after the skunk removed her sandals at the door, a decent-sized room with a flower-patterened couch, a radio on a table next to it, and a TV on a stand across from it, with a DVD player and some DVDs and CDs in the slots below.
Melody turning on the radio to some soft music, both girls stared off to the distance, trying to think of something to say, hoping the other would break the awkward silence between them.
"So...you enjoying school?" Melody asked, wishing she could think of something better to say than that.
"Kind of..." Aria replied, looking down to the ground.
"Still getting picked on by those kids?"
"Yeah..." Aria muttered. Surprised, she looked up at nothing in particular, feeling a furred arm slip lightly around her shoulders in a comforting embrace.
"Well, forget about them, they obviously don't even know you," Melody said, smiling pleasantly. "Everyone at the bar obviously likes you, and they're a lot smarter than those other students," she giggled, ears perking up as she caught a small giggle from the skunk. "And I like you. That counts for something, right?"
"Of course it does..." Aria said quietly, beginning to blush. Seeming to feel Melody shift her position a little, she hazarded a glance over to the vixen, finding that hand once more cupping her chin lightly, directing her face toward Melody.
"I suppose this time I should probably ask...would you mind if I...?" Melody trailed off, fixing her eyes on the skunk's, leaning in a little toward her.
Blushing furiously but taking the offer, Aria nodded, leaning a little toward the vixen, eyes locked deeply into each other's, faces a mere inch or so apart.
Smiling, Melody used the arm that was already around the skunk to lightly tug her in the rest of the way, closing her eyes as her lips pursed slightly, meeting the soft, delicate lips of the youthful skunk.
Closing her eyes, the red tint fading partly from her cheeks, Aria couldn't help but murr softly into the kiss, wrapping her arms lightly around the vixen's neck and pressing into her apparently a bit too hard, the vixen losing her stability and falling back onto the couch, taking the skunk with her, both girls lifting their legs onto the couch so they weren't hanging down in an uncomfortable position.
Giggling softly, the kiss unintentionally broken by the minor fall, Melody wrapped her arms lightly, lovingly, around the skunk atop her, keeping her eyes closed, not wanting to let go of this feeling.
Surprised at the fall, Aria made to get up before feeling the vixen's arms come around her, instead sighing lightly, resting herself on top of Melody and nuzzling into her neck.
"Comfortable?" Melody asked, beginning to stroke one of her hands up and down Aria's back.
Murring in pleasure at the hand lightly caressing her back, Aria nodded slightly, her ears catching the vixen's light breaths through the music that was still spread throughout the room.
How long they simply stayed like that, neither could tell, and neither cared, simply enjoying the music and, much more so, the feeling of the other's body against their own. Finally breaking the period of doing so little, Melody reached up with the hand that wasn't stroking the young skunk's back, cupping her chin with it.
Getting the hint easily, Aria smiled and lifted herself up the vixen's body so their faces were level, this time locking the vixen in a soft, love-filled kiss, surprised a moment later to find that something was trying to invade her mouth. Murring more loudly, the gentle vibrations coursing through both bodies, she parted her lips slightly, allowing the vixen's sweet tongue passage into her mouth, where it was met by her tongue.
Releasing her hand from Aria's chin, Melody used it instead to caress her cheek, the skunk nuzzling into it while making sure not to break the kiss until a moment later, when she began to blush furiously again, glancing off to the side.
"What's up, Aria?" Melody asked, curious, a hint of anticipation in her light blue eyes.
"I...I really li...love you, so..." Aria trailed off, trying hard to catch the words she wanted to say. Lifting herself up partly off of the vixen, she unbuttoned the white button-down t-shirt she was wearing, slipping her arms out and dropping it off to the side, revealing her upper body uncovered save for a light blue bra almost matching the color of Melody's eyes hiding her youthful breasts, black ears perking up to catch a small gasp from the vixen.
"I love you too," Melody spoke quietly, reaching up to caress Aria's cheek for a moment, drawing the skunk's eyes back to her as she began to remove her tight blue sleeveless shirt. This time, it was Aria's turn to gasp softly, a white-furred chest outlined with some gray steadily revealed to her, leading up to Melody's more mature, developed breasts in their fullness, uncovered by any bra, the shirt apparently doing all the work of one. "Can I...?" she asked, reaching a hand behind Aria to her breast strap.
Nodding, Aria closed her eyes as the vixen removed her bra, gasping lightly in surprise and pleasure at the feeling of a furred hand caressing one of her breasts softly, opening her eyes only for them to immediately lock onto Melody's, the look of caring and affection drawing her in. Feeling that they'd probably get in the way from this point onward, Aria removed her glasses, reaching up and placing them carefully on the arm of the couch, timidly reaching that same hand down to feel one of Melody's breasts.
Reaching up with her unoccupied hand, Melody lightly tugged the skunk back down, both girls feeling the heat begin to rise as their breasts touched, the vixen softly licking Aria's lips once before placing their lips together in a kiss, breaths coming hot from their animal-like noses, running the hand on Aria's back slowly downward.
Thoroughly enjoying this time she was spending with the vixen, Aria pushed herself deeper into the kiss, pressing her body firmly against Melody's, her long, wide tail finally finding the fox tail hanging near it, wrapping itself once around it before feeling a small tug at the base, Aria refusing right now to even open her eyes and break the kiss, knowing she'd just be hypnotized by the vixen's.
Opening her eyes to see how Aria would react, Melody saw the skunk's eyes remain closed, no clear reaction to her as her fingers reached the top of her skirt in the back, which seemed a sufficient go-ahead to continue. Smiling slightly and resealing her eyes, her fingers fumbled with the button for a moment before it came undone, releasing the skirt where it was held together over the base of Aria's tail, tugging the skirt down as far as she could reach before the skunk's legs kicked it off the rest of the way, finding that, like with her skirt, the panties were attached to it to make both easier to get on over the tail. Finding that particular hand free once more, she caressed the back of it lightly against the back of Aria's thigh, causing the skunk to fidget a little, before digging into the couch and reaching behind her own waist, slightly surprised to feel something else tugging it down part of the way, Aria's hand mimicking her earlier actions as it then stroked up the side of the vixen's thigh as her legs kicked the skirt off.
Aria herself couldn't help but fidget a little one more time as their waists touched, nothing covering any part of the girls' bodies save for their own fur. Feeling their sexes touch, Aria automatically spread her legs a little, allowing more of that area to press against the same on the vixen. Acting almost on instinct, she began to rub their sexes together, the hand that wasn't on Melody's breast finding its way to the vixen's side, tracing the fingers across it, memorizing the adult's curves, somewhat more pronounced than her youthful ones.
"Hmm...we really should spend time together, just the two of us, more often," Melody sighed, breaking the kiss, her free hand making its way back to the skunk's back, holding her close.
"You mean like...this?" Aria asked timidly, nuzzling down into the vixen's neck, giving it a few affectionate licks.
"Sometimes..." the vixen growled lightly in pleasure, tilting her neck slightly to the opposite side, allowing the skunk easier access to it. "But overall just...hanging out, I guess you'd say. Movies, games, meals, things like that."
"Like official dates?" the skunk giggled.
"Since you put it that way," Melody smiled, giggling along with the skunk. "I can probably help you with your schoolwork sometime, as well."
"...I'd like that, a lot," Aria said thoughtfully, realizing something that might cause a problem. "My parents probably shouldn't know about...well, us, though. I'm so much younger than you, and we're both girls..."
"We can wait to actually tell them, then," Melody suggested. "They'll probably figure it out on their own at some point, but I'm sure it won't be too big a deal."
"I guess..." Aria muttered, a little nervous about it.
"Don't worry..." Melody said quietly, placing a small kiss on the skunk's forehead. "Any good parent wouldn't stand between you and someone you love, and they have to be good parents to have raised you," she smiled, coaxing out a nod from the skunk. Glancing over to the radio that was still playing, all but ignored and forgotten, she saw that more time had gone by than she'd thought, almost an hour and a half. "Well, look how time's flown. Butch should be over soon so we can go out to a pre-dinner brunch in a little while, so we may as well make ourselves decent again."
Placing one last kiss on the vixen's lips and nodding, Aria unwrapped her tail from Melody's, almost grudgingly getting up off the couch and the beautiful fox lying on it, retrieving her clothes from where they'd been dropped alongside the couch and sitting back down at the edge of the couch after putting her skirt back on, stopping her hands from approaching the button in the back as she felt a different hand do it for them, another stroking along the base of her tail, causing her to murr softly. Sitting still for a few moments, she saw Melody dress herself quickly, only having to put back on two items of clothing, the vixen then picking up Aria's bra and shirt and moving to sit behind her, straddling her legs loosely around her waist. Closing her eyes and sighing softly, she felt the vixen return her bra to its place over her breasts, furred hands stroking around where it covered as if to make sure it was where it was supposed to be. After that was the shirt, soft hands caressing both her arms as they slipped the sleeves over them, Aria's own hands meeting the vixen's to help button it up.
As if on cue, the doorbell rang, a standard 'ding-dong', the girls' eyes automatically looking in the direction of the front door. "Looks like he's here," Melody smiled, getting up and walking over to the door after Aria first stood up off the couch, opening it to find the large bear, dressed in a fittingly large button-down black t-shirt and wide blue jean shorts, about the only type of outfit that he could find to fit him properly.
"Hope you two are hungry, because we're going to Melody's favorite buffet," he smiled, speaking out in his deep but kind voice.
"I could certainly use something to eat," Aria said.
"Don't mean to pry," Butch said as they walked out to his van, "but it seems like you two are pretty close."
"You could say that," Melody smiled, the girls catching a short grin from Butch, Aria suspecting that he'd been told about the kiss the previous night. Not minding in the least, the three gathered into the van, Melody opting to sit in the back instead of her usual place in the passenger seat, holding hands with her lover as they drove off, looking forward to their future, together.
