A Trainer's Tale Chapter 6: Bent Spoons He continued his way through the forest outside of Dewford with Wedge, his "Master". Wedge was a Team Aqua grunt. The grunt had unfortunantly captured the pokemon when he was sleeping, making him his. He'd overheard Wedge's mission, stopping some boy who held some special package, fairly routine for a grunt: crushing some boy's dreams. The pokemon was busy thinking of a vision he had. Most of his visions were just about something like his food or what his missions were going to be, but this one was different. There he was, walking with some weird boy, a buizel and some really mad creature he hadn't seen before. The strange thing-other than the whole scene itself- was he seemed to be talking with the whole group. While he could communicate with humans via their minds, this human was actually talking with them!
He train of thought was cut short when he heard Wedge yell something into his (Stolen) Pokenav' "Biggs, i don't think he's going to show up. This is such a waste of- Wait! i see some kid! even if it's not him i can probably score some sweet stuff, He looks like he's got some goodies on him! Call you when i win!
After the boat ride and the trio registering a few rooms, the trainers all split up. May decided to relax on the beach, Brandon went straight to battle Brawly, and Ian went straight to the Dewford to train. Right now the trio were walking around looking for a good place "Ee ann, where are we going?" Okay, he lied. They'd been training and now...they were lost. It wasn't his fault! He'd been looking for poochyena who'd stolen his apple and he'd gotten lost, along with the girls who followed him "He doesn't know. He went after a hungry pokemon who took an apple he DIDN'T WANT!" Elizabeth yelled, rather annoyed Ian had been this stupid "It's not about whether i wanted the apple or not, it's about the principle! He stole something and i must find him!" He said after continuing his doomed search. After another HOUR, Ian had given up, and was ready to admit he was lost "Hey! i see somebody! We'll ask him for help!" Ian screamed, running off to the man. "Hey! Buddy, can you help me? I got-" Ian stopped by noticing his bandana: It was a Team Aqua grunt! "Heh, no wonder you're scared! The name's Wedge! Don't forget it! now, time to make you fear the great and powerful Wedge, the future leader of Team Aqua! Go Kadabra!" Wedge yelled even though the Kadabra was right next to him "I keep telling you! my name is Dean!" the kadabra yelled, before noticing the kid his was fighting: It was the boy! "Stopping yapping! and-" Wedge said before he flown back by a psybeam. Had Ian just seen this? The pokemon attacked his trainer? would he attack him? "What the hell Kadabra? That's it you're going back in the ball I should-" Wedge yelled before he was interrupted again, this time by Kadabra destroying the ball. The Grunt quickly got up and began to run away, before yelling back "Listen kid, I don't know what you did to MY kadabra, but you better believe Team Aqua will hear of this! You haven't heard to last of Wedge!" He screamed before running away "Should've done that a while ago" Dean muttered to himself before turning back Ian & co., who had scared looks on their faces "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dean, and obviously a Kadabra. I am at your leige, master" The kadabra explained before kneeling before Ian. Master? I'm his master? Ian thought before trying to answer his few dozen questions "What do you mean?" Ian asked still shocked "I had a vison that i was walking with a boy who looked exactly like you, a buizel and some angry red and white creature!" He said pointing to each of them "I thought it was a mere dream, but now i know its true. I'm at your command master" Dean repeated
"Uh, Elizabeth, Jessica, meet your new teammate, Dean" Ian said with a forced smile
"So, You wanna challenge me, right kid?" The Dewford Gym leader, Brawly, asked "Yes sir, i'm going to walk out of here a winner!" Ian shouted back with a strange newfound confidence. "You've got Moxie kid! I like that. Okay, show me what you're made of. After the referee explained the rules and the two got their first pokemon out, Brawly chose Machop while Ian chose Elizabeth who had become a level 20 since the first fight "Begin Round 1!" the referee shouted, much Brawly began first "Machop, show them with Karate Chop!" "Elizabeth use Slash!" Ian yelled as Elizabeth dodged the Karate chop and quickly slashed the Machop "Machop use Bulk up!" Brawly Shouted "Elizabeth, you can finish this by using Fury cutter! Go!" While Machop had just got his attack up, the zangoose smashed into it, knocking it cold "The first round goes to Ian. If he wins the next match, he will win the Dewford badge." the referee said the stock gym battle phrase This time Ian brought out the newest addition, Dean. "Okay, Dean start this off with confusion!" Ian yelled as Dean shot the ray and the Makuhita "Try to get over it Makuhita! Use Arm Thrust!" Brawly shouted "Dean, use Psybeam!" The beam hit the pokemon, snapping it out of it's confusion "Great! now Makuhita, use Sand-attack!" The attack smacked into the Kadabra "Quick! Dean finish it off with another Psybeam!" Dean soon shot the pokemon, knocking it to the ground.
"With Brawly having no more pokemon to battle, Ian is the winner!" Ian went up to Brawly with a cocky grin. "Well kid, I'm quite impressed! You managed to out-due my last two battles! Here, you've earn this!" Brawly said holding out the badge "I graciously award you the Knuckle Badge!" as he took it, he began to notice the difference between him and his last battle "Sorry, it's just you're alot different than my last gym battle" Ian said "Roxanne eh?she always hates losing! Stubborn girl!" Brawly said with a gruff laugh
As Ian stepped off another dock, He waved goodbye to Brandon and May. Ian was now in Slateport City, here for some much-needed relaxation. Brandon was going back to Rustboro to report back to Mr Stone. and collect his reward. May had gone back to see her father who was in Petalburg, and Ian suspected also just to be with Brandon. They were rather close and he assumed she had motives outside of her father. "HEY!" a familiar voice yelled from the beach. Looking towards it, he saw Wally! "Hey Wally! I just got here from Dewford, Why're you here?" Ian asked "Oh! I got here from my Uncle giving me a ride! i'm going to go to go battle Wattson in Mauville!" The two discussed things for a while, Wally gawking at Ian's two badges and showing how his Ralt's new moves, After a few hours, they split up and Ian went to the Pokecenter to register a room. At the room he let them all out and gave them all hugs (Even Jessica though did nothing) and treated them to Ice-cream. Afterwards he brought them all to the beach. They all had some fun in the water and quickly went back to their room. Telling them he'd be back after he gets some things, he went to the local gift-shop. "Hello! Can i need to get a few gifts for my pokemon for winning a few battles" Ian told the elderly shopkeep. "And what would these pokemon be, sir? "A Zangoose named Elizabeth, A buizel named Jessica, and a Kadabra, Dean. "Ah..." The shopkeep said thinking of some things "For the Buizel, i would suggest this little Bouy keychain, The Kadabra could use this Twisted Spoon, it'll improve his psychic abilities. But i'm afraid i don't know of anything for the Zangoose" The shopkeep explain "Okay, i'll take the two items but do you have anything like some jewelry? I'm sure she would mind a necklace or something." Soon the sun was set, and Ian was out of the store and heading back to the room. Once there (And being tackled/licked by Jessica) he brought out the bag "What's in the bag Ian?" Elizabeth asked "Well, for the win today, i got you all gifts!" Ian said to which they all gasped "Dean, I got you These Twisted spoons, apparently they improve your psychic abilities" Ian told him to which the kadabra gave him a hug "Jessica, I got you this little Keychain" Ian said as Jessica tackled him once more "And Elizabeth..." Ian said, digging into the bag as the two other pokemon showed each other their toys. "The shopkeeper couldn't think of anything, so i picked this out myself..." Ian told her as he picked out her present. It was a silver necklace with a large round sapphire. "I got you this" Ian said to which Elizabeth got teary and gave him a fierce hug. She continued this until whispering into his ear "Thank you so much, Ian." Soon they all got ready for sleep. Dean as the foot of the bed, Jessica on his lap and Elizabeth snuggled close to him, albeit more strongly then usual. Ian didn't mind this though. Ian thought of the next day: All relaxion with his friends.

Well, thats Chapter 6. The first appearance of Wedge, and Biggs will appear in chapter 8. Also the first appearance of Dean, the new party member. Chapter 7 will revolve around the Nancy and Melody.
