Light of the Heart: Chapter 2
#3 of Light of the Heart (SCRAPPED)
Well finally decided to write another one lol. I've been stuck studying with finals and stuff.
Anyway without further a do here's part 2(Hey that rhymes!)
"Urrrrgh..." I groan as I find myself and darkness and notice that I am laying against something hard. I feel a cool breeze blow past my face yet I don't feel cold which is strange to me since I was wearing my pajamas last night. When I try to open my eyes I am greeted by by a blinding light and I quickly shut them again. After some time I grow accustomed to it and slowly open my eyes to find many trees scattered across a soft, grassy, bright green ground. I hear dozens of birds chirping away from within the trees yet I can't see them very well thanks to my vision. I look back to see what I'm laying against and find a tree not much different from the ones that neighbor it. I think to myself that it's not such a bad place to wake up to and give a long yawn before standing up slowly. I look all around me and let out a breath of exasperation as I can't tell where I am at all. I look down at my body to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary and notice nothing strange, well apart from my sudden new clothes...
The pajamas I had worn last night were gone and replaced with a baby blue sweat jacket over my torso that fit me quite well, complete with a hood. The zipline was silver and the actual zipper was the same color but shaped in an ornate dragon head design. It had two side pockets which was convenient and was very soft on the inside when I put my hands in. My pants were now dark jeans that were on my waste without the need of a belt which surprised me as I was quite skinny by teenage standards. The fit comfortably and were slightly baggier than skinny jeans to allow my legs to breathe a little. They were colored a basic black but with a hint of blue tint to it that was barely noticeable, yet added a nice blend to them nonetheless. The zipper on these was unremarkable and was mostly silver like the jacket. My shoes were pretty basic running shoes that fit snugly and had black lases. The shoes were mostly white but had dark blue lines running just around the edges of where the lace holes were. I find the new outfit pretty cool looking by my tastes anyway as I like simple clothing. Not to mention blue is also my favorite color.
I also take the time to look through the almost weightless backpack that I had woken up with but paid no attention to until now. It only had a single large pocket that I guessed made up the entire space of the bag. Inside I found multiple pockets with rather strange objects within them. One large pocket in the back held a white book with a kind of symbol on the front but I couldn't read the title as it was in a strange language. In a side holder was a uniquely shaped kunai with a white sticker that had what looked like japanese writing wrapped around the handle. In the other side holder was a sort of star shaped charm that looked quite pretty so I decided to try and hold it but when I took it out of the bag it vanished into turned into an orb of light that floated up above my headed and exploded into a small shower of dazzling little sparkles that reminded me of stars. Promptly my whole body began to glow and I started freaking out but the light slowly faded and all traces of the light were gone. I hesitantly shrug it off and proceed to close the backpack having a strange feeling of familiarity with the items in the bag.
"I swear that I've seen those things somewhere before but I can't place my finger on it. Oh well, right now I need to find shelter before it gets dark. As far as I know I'n on a completely different planet." I say to myself as I put on the backpack and start looking about the area around me. As I stumble upon forest, forest, and more forest I almost decide to call it a day and just rest under a tree when I discover a dirt path. I fall back against a nearby tree with relief and get back p to survey the path. The path went two ways, both leading into what seemed like more forest until I noticed a sign down on my right. I walk over to it and pray that it is in English but not getting my hopes up judging by the white book in my bag. To my surprise andjoy it is written in my fluent language, hand painted neatly. The sign reads "Those seeking the capital city of Drakhina head this way. Safe travels."
The sign is shaped like an arrow pointing down the direction I ran to get to the sign which was right. Deciding that getting to this capital would be a good idea since there would probably be someone there who could help me I began heading in the direction of the sign. A while into my walk I look up into the sky and find see a normal bright blue one but with one "little" difference. From what I was seeing there seemed to be TWO suns in the sky. I thought I was crazy but then again nothing that has happened so far has been normal so I just accepted it as being one of the many unique features of the planet I was now on, that being the only logical explanation at the time. A few hours later and it was still pretty bright out but I was getting hungry. I scan the area around me and find a bush with strange red berries if I would make a guess that looked like strawberries except without the seeds on the outside. I pick one out and feel that it is smooth and squishy but not eating quite yet as it may be horribly poisonous. I finally convince myself that it's now or never and take a bite and to my relief find that the fruit is quite sweet but with a hint of spiciness. Not the best flavor but much better than deadly poison and starving. After I have had my fill I continue down the path and after several hours the sky is finally turning a slightly darker shade when I reach the end of the path and what I find a short distance away from the edge of the forest where I stand is incredible!
Well here's where i leave you hanging for now. I bet you can guess what the incredible thing is. Oh and the items inside Darius's bag are from certain anime series that I'm sure some of you can guess :D. These will serve as Darius's main offensive, defensive, and utility based abilities for now when he figures out how to use them. Don't worry about DArius being OP if you know what the items do since he will actually be one of the weaker characters offensively by himself although he is the main protagonist. What that implies you'll just have to guess for now heh heh. Ok well that's enough out of me for now I'll see you guys next time!
