#2 of Light of the Heart (SCRAPPED)

Hey you guys! ^_^ Welcome to the next part of the series. Now when I was writing the last part I noticed it was...short, but then I came up with multiple totally reasonable(excuses) explanations for it!

  1. First writing here

  2. Written in a very long 20 minutes

  3. It's a prologue so who the heck cares!

Don't worry guys, I'll put more effort into future works. As I've said this is for fun and not to show off or anything like that.

Okay disclaimer time. Ahem. I do not own blah blah kingdom hearts blah blah entertaiment purposes blah blah. Oh and there WILL be stuff I will use from other well known series...or not so known(I'm such a nerd)

Anyway enjoy!

"Darius..." says a feminine voice in the not so lonely darkness. I hear other voices too, lots of them and they're...snickering?

"Darius!"

"Huh!?", I exclaim as I lift my head from school desk. In front of my now open eyes stands my Biology teacher, Mrs. Goggon. She is your average elderly women with greyish brown hair, standing only slightly taller than me and that's saying something as I'm no tall kid by high school freshmen standards.

"Darius are you alright? Do you need to visit the nurse? You've been dozing off periodically all class despite my attempts to rouse you.", says Mrs. Goggon worriedly. Mrs. Goggon is my favorite teacher of the seven I have because she is caring and determined to help her students despite her old age.

"Uhh, yeah. I'm fine Mrs. Goggon. I just feel really out of it today. I'm pretty sure it will pass eventually." I say, soon after giving a false chuckle to lighten the mood. The teacher then returns to the projector and continues her lecture. The rest of class goes by smoothly but I space out unnoticeably from time to time as I think about the weird dream I had.

_ BEEEEEEEEEP! _

The lunch bell, well technically not a bell went off and I walked out of Bio pretty quickly and almost by instinct I grabbed my lunch in the cafeteria kitchen and sat at the usual table near one of the the doosr that led outside the school. My two friends, Jeffrey and David sat down soon after I did.

"Whats up Darius?" said Christian as he opened hit ketchup packet to pour onto his chicken patty. Christian is a rather... large teen, but not umcomfortably fat that would make people shy away. He was pretty athletic actually, much more than me, as he liked to play basketball. Christian is an open guy who doesn't worry about much and is a great friend.

"Well, I've been kind of out of it today. I even fell asleep a couple of times" I say as I look down at my hot dog. Jeffrey who was chugging down his milk looked at me puzzled.

"Well, what's wrong? Something been going on?" Jeffrey said as he went to his pizza. Jeffrey, unlike christian was a very tall, toned guy who was also in to basketball. He wore thin frame glasses and was always a go with the flow kind of guy. He was pretty popular even though he didn't try to be and I was always envious of it, and he and I made it into a running gag where I would always remind him of how easily popular he was.

"Nothing that makes sense sadly. It's just I keep having these wierd dreams about a voice telling me about some journey I'm going to go on and that's all I know." I say as I give a shrug.

"It's okay dude. I bet it's part of that weird mental phase of puberty they keep talking about in health." Christian says with a smile and I smile back. Christian always knows how to cheer someone up.

"Thanks, I guess that makes sense so I guess I gotta live with it for now." I say as I finally lighten up and start eating my lunch. We continue to talk and laugh until the end of lunch until the bell rings signalling the end of school for the day. Well, for the next week too because tomorrow starts spring vacation and everyone is excited.

"See you guys in 12 days!" I say as I wave to my two friends as they walk off into the distance. As I walk towards my bus I hear a low voice shouting towards me.

"Hey! Blind fresh meat! Have a nice vacation! Don't get lost now!" says AJ, that one guy on the football team who's a bully, I stick my tounge out at him as I step onto my bus, not minding at all because I realize that their is one of him in EVERY high school and I take it as his way of bidding a friend a nice vacation. Which I consider myself as much to his disapproval. Now about the "blind" part of the nickname. You see, I'm a bit different from others. I have a rare disease in my eyes that labels me as legally blind even though I can see clearly but I have trouble with reading at a distance and I am absolutely terrible at hand-eye coordination, which is why I don't play sports. However I'm pretty good at mental stuff and that includes video games so yeah, I'nm a nerd by standards but I'm proud of who I am and think myself as unique, having something no one else does.

-Darius' House-

I walk into my door with an aura of relief about me. I change into my comfy clothes and get onto my laptop immediately. My mom won't be home today as she has to be at a meeting in San Fransisco sice she is a scientist studying cancer. But don't worry though she is not a child neglecting mom, it's just that since she left my dad who was nothing but a party addict she had to support me on her own so she taught me how to take care of myself and gave me all the money I needed to do it. I love her and understand the situation she's in so I probably won't end up like one of those kids who grow up depressed and...you know.

I take a break at 8 PM and eat some noodle stir-fry for dinner. As I watch an anime move for the last 2 hours I hear a voice, the one from the weird dream.

"Prepare yourself, it is time..."

"T-Time?! Time for what?," I say rather loudly as I scan the room for the source of the voice but both my eyes and ears find nothing. Shortly after all electricity in the house is cut and I sit in the dark shaking. I was always scared of the dark despite how surprisingly mentally stable I claim to be and now I sit on the couch wrapped in my blanket.

It feels like hours pass before I notice a pulsing white circle surrounded by marking that I've never seen in front of me. Then I realize I'm standing and conclude that I am no longer in my living room. Just me in a dark place with the circle in front of me.I hear the voice again.

"You will find success if you follow your heart"

I recall it telling me this in my dream too and I consider this. I stare at the white circle and inside myself I feel something. It's...excitement and I soon want to touch the circle. I slowly, ever so slowly walk towards it with my hand out.

"Do I really want to do this? What will happen? What if...no. Just do what I feel is right and right now I feel that touching this thing is important." I think to myself as my hand is about to make contact. My finger slowly makes it's way to one of the markings and finally touches down. It felt like glass only, more fragile. With that I hear a loud shattering sound like a window being broken and I am engulfed by the same light that was behind the door in my dream. As soon as I realize this the circle isn't a circle anymore. It is a door just like the one in my dream but this one is different I know, this leads somewhere else. That is the last thing I remember besides an all encompassing light.

Okay done! Whew! I finally realized something when I finished this and skimmed it. I'm no good at long stories -_- so I've decided that i will just write what I feel should be there for one chapter and leave it at that. I'll try to put a bunch of chapters to make up for it so bear with me. Oh and I am very lazy with spelling and grammar and such so tell me if there is anything that absolutely cannot be ignored and must be fixed for the sake of the story's clarity(understandablity if thats a word XD). Till next xhapter which I may write today too as I'm seriously having fun making my own world. ^_^
