Plan C
If you lack knowledge of previous events, a quick recap may be in order: read my previous plans. Now that I've taken care of that, back to my nightmare's aftermath.I'm lying in my bed, trying to comprehend what happened. It felt about ten degrees colder in my room, and my fur didn't help to warm me. I activated my x-ray thermal vision and looked toward my brother's room. He was still awake. He was spazzing about something even. I enhanced my x-ray and dimmed the thermal. I watched him pacing back and forth in his room, arguing about something to someone who didn't exist.Maybe it was just a dream. I thought. Nothing I've ever dreamed was just a dream though. Maybe that won't actually happen, and it's more metaphorical than anything. I watched my brother continue to argue with the air, trying to make sense of the situation. Ever since I could remember, every single one of my dreams had some significance to past or future events. Sometimes I wish I didn't ask for a soundproof room, but my advanced hearing goes berserk when the family is as loud and annoying as they usually are. Being that my room is soundproofed, I can't hear what my brother is yammering about.I could crack my door open and listen, but I wasn't in the mood to hear his voice. I also can't dismiss his disguise through a wall, as I have to be looking straight at him. I decided to try and get some sleep, as I have finals tomorrow, and I don't wish to fail.~~~I woke up earlier than usual, beating my dad's barging in to wake me by ten minutes. I quickly showered and did everything else to prepare for school within that ten minutes, but could have done it quicker if I hadn't nearly flipped out when I glanced in the mirror. My disguise had failed a little and the golden stripes in my hair were showing through. Gladly, nothing major was showing, but it startled me a bit. After a few failed attempts at re-disguising it, I decided to leave it be. After all, my parents would be the only ones who cared, and they would understand my explanation.I got downstairs in record time and grabbed an apple for breakfast, as my dad was cooked eggs and bacon. For whatever reason I no longer like meat, and it even makes me sick. I sat at the table silently eating my apple while my dad finished cooking breakfast for the rest of the family. He glanced over at me and noticed my hair."Did you dye your hair last night or something, Paul?" He asked jokingly."My disguise failed a bit. I tried to cover up the streaks, but no luck." I explained."Well let's hope nothing major shows that will give away your true form." My dad said."One can only hope." I replied. My mother then walked into the kitchen to see me up before her, which wasn't exactly normal."Good morning, hun. You're up early." She greeted."Today's the last day of school, why not?" I countered."What happened to your hair?" She
asked."Disguise failure." I explained. "Hopefully this will be all that leaks, but I'm gonna have to hope nothing else does." My brother then crashed into the room as if he was drunk, which I find funny about him."Sup loser." He said to me."Um, I'm the loser? Says the guy who barely passed high school to begin with. Compared to you I'm a frickin winner." I countered."More like a wiener." He replied in his usual tone of absolute jerkiness. My irritation began to transition to anger."Don't push me, for I can pin you before you blink." I warned."Yeah right. Last I heard, the last time you fought someone, you lost. On top of that, it was a girl." He pointed out."Let's see, the last time I got in a fight was when? Oh yeah, never. Try again, Benny boy." I spat. I love using that on him, considering it drives him crazy."How many times do I have to tell you to not call me that? My name is Benjamin. Not Benny, not Benji, not Ben, Benjamin.""I'll call you by your real name as soon as you can efficiently tell me off." I concluded. I flashed my golden eyes to scare him bit, causing him to freak out and trip on the spot, falling flat on his back. This in turn caused me to start laughing."Guys, knock it off." My dad warned."Fine." We both simultaneously agreed. I quickly finished my apple while the rest of the family had their breakfast. During breakfast I decided to test my siblings for furriness. My brother turned out to be a silver panther with black skunk stripes and a golden sun pattern on his chest and pitch black eyes. My sister, Hannah, was a golden skunk with silver stripes and what appeared to be a mutation, as it didn't match anything that my mother or father have. She had green stripes in her hair along with green eyes and three tails that had plant-like designs on them.~~~Afterwards I ran to school while my brother drove to college. I live a mile or two away from the school, but with supersonic speed I can get there within less than a minute. At school, as I was sitting in the courtyard, waiting for the bell to ring for my last classes of the year, I noticed Lola sketching in her usual spot. I decided to go sit next to her."Hey Lola." I said as I approached her."Hey Paul. How's it going?" She asked."It's goin pretty good. I'm excited for our first date today." I replied."So am I. I even told my dad to not pick me up after school today so we can enjoy our first date." She said."Good idea." I commented. I then decided to choose now to tell her about my furriness. "Lola, can I tell you something?""Sure." She replied."I'm a furry, and I know that you're one too." I confessed."Really? Well I guess that's quite a way to ease tension." Lola said. She just stared at her drawing, and I looked to see a half finished anthro cheetah."You like drawing your furry side, don't you?" I asked. This must have
caught her off guard."How'd you know I was a cheetah?" She asked with astonishment in her voice."Same way I knew you were a furry." I explained. "See, I have almost every ability that has to do with eye sight. Thermal vision, lasers, heat vision, you name it, I have it. I also have sonic abilities and enhanced senses, but that's not the point. The point is, I have the ability to see straight through a furry's disguise if I so choose. It's part of the reason I came over here to talk to you to begin with.""Now I'm jealous." Lola said with a chuckle. "All I have is the typical super speed, along with invisibility and terrakinesis.""So what do you think we should do today after these last dreaded finals?" I asked jokingly. Lola and I were both here to take our last two finals, as was everyone else. We were also both freshmen, so we were excited to get our first year of high school over with."How does a movie sound?" She suggested."Fine by me." I replied. The bell then rang, and we parted ways for the next two and a half hours while we finished our finals.~~~As usual, to me the finals were easy. When you're as smart as me, you don't really worry about tests. I met Lola at the front of the school, and she was furiously erasing something in her sketchbook."You ready?" I asked as I approached her. She got a bit startled at my voice and looked up."Y-yeah. I'm ready." She replied rather nervously. I sat down beside her."What's with the nervousness?" I asked."N-nothing. I'm fine, really." She assured me."Are you sure? If anything is bothering you, you can tell me." I assured her."It's just that...I'm...I..." Lola couldn't seem to get the words out."Come on, what is it? I don't like being held in suspense." I said the last sentence with a slight chuckle."I feel like I'm being followed." She looked at me with eyes that showed zero hints of her kidding around. That's when it hit me. Someone is watching us. My fur reacts to eye contact in the weirdest ways. I casually looked behind me to see a person sitting on the bench that's directly behind me but still a decent distance behind me. This person, however, was a furry. He was also in furry form, but no one paid him any attention.I turned all the way around to get a good look at him. He had six skunk tails with rainbow colored skunk stripes. His eyes were like rainbow kaleidoscopes and had a black center as is normal. He had snow white hair that had icy blue streaks on the right side, and his fur's primary color was white which I could easily tell. He had the head of a tiger, and had aquamarine gems encasing his left ear along with flames on the tips of his tails and his hands looked like they were on fire. He probably had countless markings on his body, but he was wearing winter clothes.Winter clothes, in the spring? He had on a black t-shirt and was wearing a zip hoodie over it
that was white with icy blue snowflake designs on the right side (it was the left from how I was looking at it). His pants were pitch black with purple stripes at the knees, and he was wearing a cross necklace of some sort. That's when I heard the voice in my head. You're not safe here, Paul. Not a single furry is...
