Dran and Mist - Chapter Ten - Artifact
#10 of Transcender: Dran
This has been a lot later than I expected... I wrote it then was unhappy with the way it turned out, it's been idle in a folder for over a month - lost inspiration completely. Recently regained some flair and got through block to present the tenth chapter - I'm not mega happy about how it turned out but still, I hope it's enjoyed. I'd like to put out a special thanks to Omega2672 for his encouraging posts as well as another thanks to everyone whos support and votes have helped make this series possible. *bows* here we go again...
Dran and Mist - Chapter Ten
Alder: Reguardless of how tightly we cling to the ones we love... It is inevitable that they slip through our grasp.
"If I give up now... She won't forgive me..."
Xak closed his eyes. In his mind he could see it all, the pasts sweet dream fading into a nightmare of redemption. His resolve had wavered many times, yet now it was steadfast, unbreakable in the wake of Arc's words. The sensation was always strange, like falling into a dream, the world becoming fragmented and hazed as he battled for control against the instincts of that which was sealed within him. After lying dormant for so long, his seal had once again burned in black at his necks reverse. In absence of his mate, his willpower alone held him true. Cross had warped her code, made her a natural balancer for the hybrids and without her to control the sypher flowing from his body, he was unrestrained. His eyes opened and wings of black spread behind him. He fell to a knee, taking slow, deep breaths as he traced her name into the dust covering the wooden panels of the floor, smiling before erasing it. His hand closed about his bow, Xak pulling himself to his feet as he stared down the firing range. It had not been used in years, an area of the basement once devoted to weapons research finding use as he rose the bow. His right hand came to meet it, grasping at air as an arrow formed upon his palm. He drew back, staring down the black shaft before releasing it, the twang of the bow followed by a dull hiss as the object sped towards its target. A miss. "Shit..."
He allowed a sigh to escape him, attempting to concerntrate before drawing once more, locking his wings back against his body. The arrow glowed, its heat intensifying as it remained in a drawn position. It grew, glinting with some unknown malice as it crackled with energy, burning his hand before the release. The target exploded, the wall behind bearing a deep crack from his strike. Xak fell to his knees, unable to hold back his cry of pain as his body flashed black. He remained there panting for a few moments before pulling himself up and preparing to draw once again.
"Impressive... Yet in such a form, still imperfect." There was someone behind him, the voice of a man that hadn't spoken to him since he announced that he was mated to his renamon.
"Father..." He failed to turn.
"You gave up the right to call me that the day that you brought shame upon the family name by running away with a digital monster." His words cut as well as any blade.
"You know what's causing all of this. Don't you?" He gripped his weapon tightly.
"The Bio-Angels that destroyed headquarters... Perfect ranks, a logical and planned approach as they cut exits and progressed into the heart of LastBreath..." He knew that the man was grinning, "Does it look like the work of mindless, sypher consuming beasts to you?"
"Something was controlling them?"
"Someone." His answer was simple. "You are to be part of a strike force, set to rendevous with the Valiant in the digital world. We have several master ranked tamers at our disposal - they will hold back the Bio-Angels while your team eliminates the leader." Footsteps were growing faint as he moved away, "You leave at sunset, tomorrow."
"And Cross?"
The door closed.

Trine allowed herself a wide grin as the renamon finally left the room, pulling herself into a sitting position as she examined her surroundings. The night before, she had been capable of little other than sobbing into the mans outstretched arms however this morning she woke with new resolve. She almost chuckled as she mentally revised the deal that she had made with Mist, she would fill out her side of the bargain later, but for now there were other matters to attend to. The angewomon glanced around, having simply collapsed onto the bed without bothering to undress, her clothing was badly creased. Her breastplate inparticular was causing a considerable amount of discomfort, the removal of a clip letting it fall away, passing through the air for its few brief moments before landing onto the bed with a dull thump. Her breasts bounced free, a small flare of pride filling her as she basked in the natural model like appearance that blessed her race, *I can't believe they got the suite... Me and Haze were set to share a bed more out of necessity than choice.* An image of the renamon flashed before her eyes, a brief interlude of stillness before she felt something tug at her chest. She cursed herself for growing sentimental, determined to prove that these feeling were nothing she started to remove the remainder of her clothes. The gloves fluttered on an unseen air current, evading the bed and crossing over the helmet that she had dropped to the floor the night before. A few moments later all garments were removed, her ribbon given a swift and playful twirl before simply set to drift away behind her. The summer's heat was lost among the unceasing rain, its soft barrage providing a constant dim noise to order her thoughts to. The angewomon spread her wings, giving a small push off as she catapulted herself to her feet. Her catlike nature was revealed in her movement, the lack of sound and an almost playful curiosity.
Dran remained unconscious, his hair stirred by the air conditioning, lying on his back on the other bed with eyes closed. His right arm was spread, a small indentation in the mattress marking the former position of his mate. She had remained huddled against him through the night, and now without her present, his image didn't look quite complete. Once again she cursed her process of thought, a silent longing for such a thing pulling her closer, coaxing her into action. The sheet was a thin remise from the warmth of a british summer, even through the light rain the place remained invariably warm. The angewomon pulled it back, preparing to mirror the techniques that she devloped and mastered on Haze. From her hand she drew her celestial arrow, having no desire to use it for combat she instead focused its energy, the intense level of light sypher powerful enough to slice through the mans boxers without touching skin. The destroyed garment fell away, Dran remaining in the land of dreams as a dull whistle passed through Trine's teeth. *Jebus... She wasn't lying about his size... He must have Haze beat by an inch at least...*
Slowly, she lowered her head, nuzzling a smooth rather than furred surface, extending her tongue and allowing a slow lick over his flacid tool. A smile adorned the mans face, almost as if he knew what he was about to receive, the digimon mirroring it as the organ before her began to stir into life, growing in size and pointing its course upwards as blood coursed through it in response to those soft delicate licks. Trine was only just getting started, having access to the experience that the renamon had, she demonstrated her skill, sealing her lips about the head as he tongue snaked a course about it, her hands toying with a taut sack and rubbing his shaft respectively. An expression of bliss crossed his face, a soft groan escaping his lips as he began to come around, "One hell of a way to wake me up, Mist..."
His eyes remained closed and in a mind addled by sleep he failed to notice that each hand bore an extra two digits, or that it was long hair brushing against the insides of his thighs and not soft velvety fur. Trine remained silent, letting him live out his waking dream as she simply played her part, letting her hand slide down over his half knot one final time before her lips drifted down the length. The bulge forced her jaws open, an ability to deep throat that Haze had always tested was now pushed to its limit as the blond attempted to focus her efforts. She could feel that he was close, though it was more sense than a physical touch, her tongue trailing its delicate course as she moved up and down his shaft. He shuddered, the heightened sensation pushing him towards his limit, only morning weariness and increadable self restraint stopping him from thrusting upwards into her mouth. He came in thick ribbons of creamy seed, the angels gag reflex averted to prevent her from choking as she finally had opportunity to sample that which Mist enjoyed so much. She perfered Haze's but she would never admit it.
"You're really getting good at-" Dran opened his eyes, his dull and slurred speech dropping into surprise as he engaged her gaze, "Woah - Trine?" He pushed back, banging his head against the headboard.
"Relax..." She smiled before crawling up his body, pinning him down, "Mist told me to go for it... She encourages it..." Her actions were forward enough, the resistance that she met proving as steadfast as she expected it to be. However, in the wake of her words it seemed to waver somewhat, a combination of the man knowing the type of person that she was and more than just a go ahead from his mate. Wetness pressed down over his stomach, a small grinding motion against the muscled surface providing a sensation of anticipation as she kissed him. His eyes widened, body freezing up; then again, it wasn't every day that you wake up to a mate approved blow job and the prospect of sex from the friend that you were comforting the night before.
There was a second where he considered ending it there and then but some instinct stirred within him, his resistance extinguished as he simply thought *fuck it* and threw himself in wholeheartedly. He found sudden animation, returning the kiss with parrallel skill, finding the sensation of locking lips with a creature that wasn't a fox an odd sensation. Trine felt the same way yet found joys in the mans merits, a shuddering breath finally exhaled as hands traced up her stomach, cupping each of her breasts as each of his thumbs traced a course about the nipple. She could feel him nudging the small of her back, leaving a small trail of pre on her skin as he groaned slightly from the contact. The angel broke away from his lips, pulling her body upwards as she spread her wings. A single sweep provided the push off she needed to get back to her knees, the air current disturbing nearby objects as she reached down, lacing her hand about his need. She smiled down at him, the head just brushing against her, the feeling from that alone being electric, the human trying to resist the urge to buck upwards. For once, rolls were reversed, someone desperately teasing Dran rather than the other way around, then again for her she was already used to a position of control.
Her grin faded to a wince torn between pain and pleasure as she lowered herself with agonising slowness, feeling the girth spread her even further than Haze's knot. She paused as he finally hilted, leaning forwards, grinding her hips slightly as she met him in a kiss once more. He took the initiative, utilising the small amount of space that her movement had opened up, he thrust upwards gently. Only allowed these few inches of movement, it was torture, a new need for release burning within him as he longed to simply knock her off him and fuck her senseless. Trine however, had other plans, pulling back away from him, cupping each of her breasts to prevent their movement she set a slow pace, stimulating his shaft as she moved up and down its length. Hands gripped her thighs, Dran softly guiding her movements as soft groans began to escape rouge lips. "God... You're so fucking... Big..." She almost hit herself for using such a cliché line. "No wonder Mist... Ah... Enjoys you so much..."
Dran smiled, what would have been a response lost in a groan of lust as her pace increased, her rhythmic movements allowing him space to buck upwards into velvet folds. Trine was slowly beginning to lose her sense of self control, her guidance ebbing as she let the situation take its own course, lost in her own pleasure as he stimulated places she didn't know she had. She shifted one of her hands, squeezing her breast as she rose it to her mouth, giving it a soft lick. The reaction of Dran was increadable, watching her do this, his responses became almost animalistic, the brutal slamming of his increased speed sending her into the climax that she had been denying herself so long. Liquid flooded her, draining out about his member as he continiued his motions, still having not found his own release.
Trine called out, her single high pitched note broken and lowered as he continiued, using the strength of his arms to force her to grind hips against him. "Trine, I'm..." He groaned, the accumulation of fluids allowing him swifter thrusting - Dran could feel himself reaching his peak, content that she had cum first he finally hilted, his essence trapped by his partial knot.
She fell forwards, panting into his chest as they remained connected remaining there for several minutes until, "I hate to say it... But I'm jealous of how close you and Mist are... Even if you're different races, the way you are with eachother..." She chuckled, attempting to drive such thoughts from her mind as Dran smiled down at her, "Having fun?"
He grinned, "You're not furry enough for me." His humour was evident from his manner, the man slowly stroking the hair from her face.
"You neither."

The tree provided adequate cover from the drizzle, the light rain gathering on the leaves to fall in thick heavy droplets onto what lay beneath. He was clad in what looked like third generation hand me downs, scruffy in appearance yet dauntingly familiar. He picked at a hole in the faded jeans, his other hand resting over his stomach, fingers tapping the zip of an old hoody. He sighed, blowing long hair out of his face, yet still he did not turn, his attention fixed on the building beyond the small park. A contrast to the nearby university, the place seemed to be on its last legs; an old fashioned terraced complex crumbling in many parts. It seemed that part of the entire block had been linked to form the orphanage, yet it remained cramped for the many occupants. He must have been about thirteen yet here and solitary in the rain he seemed to have a tortured and mature aura beyond many adults. Something stirred at his side, the childs face lighting up slightly as a yellow football looking object bounced up into his lap. A voice, "Hey... Viximon... Bro... You guys still hanging around being all emo?"
An older kid had wandered over, Perhaps fourteen and wearing a smile to accompany his worn tracksuit. The younger closed his eyes, "Leave us be, Hiro..."
"Come on, Dran... Someone's gotta adopt us eventually - then we'll strike the big time for sure..." His optimism was increadable for an orphan. "We can get some real clothes, go to a proper school... It'll all work out in the end, you'll see."
Haze leaned back against the tree, a chuckle escaping him as the renamon beside him watched through the iron bars of the fence. "Time flows at different speeds in different worlds... It must be strange to see a parrallel version of your tamer here..."
"He never mentioned a brother..." Mist remained fixated.
"In his world, he may not have one... I still don't get this whole infinate probability thing." He wiped an accumulation of rain from his brow, "No wonder you guys are so close though... No families... been alone for so long... Must have been tough."
"It has been..." She sighed, watching the two kids and the viximon start to make their way towards the buildings. The young Dran paused for a moment, as if feeling eyes on him he turned yet his gaze passed over them. "But now I have Dran... And you guys..." She smiled, "It's like those years never happened."
Slowly, the rain was beginning to intensify, "Come on... Dran told me to look out for his mate - I can't have you catching a cold." He grinned: It was strange how much the renamon had changed since coming into contact with the man... And also the cross now lying about her neck, "Let's go get some coffee."

"Stop! This is an unauthorised Jump!"
The pole swept a perfect horizontal, its arc evaded, the man ducking beneath it. Its tip crackled with electricity yet the remainder of the weapon was covered in black rubber. This he seized, yanking it towards himself to throw his attacker off balance before swaying back into him, slamming his elbow into the ribs. He felt one crack, yet felt no pleasure in breaking the bones of a comrade. The jumpsuit clad figure fell to the ground, stunning weapon landing beside him with a similar thud. Lance reversed his stance, pulling himself straighter as he surveyed the half dozen or so guards that he had reduced to unconsciousness. Behind him, streaming from the gateway, a faint breeze tugged at his lockes; the huge ring was rotating of its own accord, hovering a foot or so off the ground and easilly ten feet in diameter. Its faint whistling overshadowed the hum of the rooms array of computters and other machinery. They spread outwards away from him, marking tiers in the semi-circle shaped room with the gate to its flat side. Through a floor of latticed metal, a vast quantity of cables could be glimpsed, their colours a contrast to the surgical white and steel theme of the above. He took a step backwards, the far doors opening as several more white jumpsuits streamed forth, followed closely by Alder. "Stay back!"
The woman held out an arm, moving to the front. She looked a little more than bedraggled, her long blond hair frizzed and wild; she had the appearance of one who had not slept for several days. She dropped to a knee, looking over the groaning men and women that marked his previous battle before getting to her feet, "Lance - I'm ordering you to stand down!"
He turned away, taking a few steps towards the portal as the outer disc slowly began to pick up speed. The interior was beginning to haze over, "I cannot."
She leveled her weapon, the rifle almost as long as she was, laced with black, the barrel seeming thick enough to take something more like a tank shell. "I have an obligation, Lance..." It was surprising how deftly she handled the overlarge weapon, it now definitely pointed across the room, at him. "They made me a company head... Please! Don't make me do this!"
"I have an obligation too." He faced her, staring down into her eyes with a seriousness that many believed beyond him. Lance jumped backwards as her warning shot passed by his side, the thick beam of purple obliterating part of the wall to the gateways left. Most of the debris was burning, the anti-material rifle flaunting its destructive capabilities.
"To what?" Her hands were shaking, "What could possibly be so important?"
Lance took a deep breath, allowing it to leave him in the form of a long sigh. He rolled up his right sleeve to the elbow, revealing a large silver band over his wrist. The thick device covered the majority of his forearm, a keypad and a small screen embedded into the metal. He tapped a few buttons before it unclipped, the item tossed aside. His body shimmered, the air about him seeming almost like a heat haze as his features became indistinguishable. There was only the sound of the flames crackling, the gate whistling. The gun fell to the ground. "Home." The taomon turned. And dove through the portal.
