#1 of Varista

This is my first serious stab at writing, so I would be very happy if any of you could give me feedback on anything that I need to work on - But please keep in mind that this IS my first try, so there are bound to be some fundamental mistakes. So, enjoy - Or murder me - whichever is most appropriate!

Oh, and please tell me if any of you are interested in a second chapter. I won't be hurt if you aren't - I did write this at 3 in the morning.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me..." With a frown of annoyance, a young treasure hunter looks on towards the opening of a non-descript cave. "Just my luck. I finally find the entrance to the lost ruins of Varista, and the damned thing goes and caves in on itself! Knew I should have hired a mercenary in Lenstra!"

Casting his knapsack to the side, the man surveys the damage, looking for a possible way to slip through the rocks. His languid, blue eyes spot a promising slab of rock, wedged between the wall of the cave and the floor, giving a clear - if tight - way through.

"Well... I guess this will have to do. No accursed cave in is going to stop Keldric, Treasure Hunter! I just hope there aren't any spiders in these ruins..." A shudder travels down Kel's pale form, causing his brown hair to come loose from behind his ear to cover his left eye. Pushing back the stray lock, he shoves the pack in first, following it into the tunnel.

The first thing that crosses the hunter's mind is how sharp the rocks are, digging into his leather leggings, leaving slashes in the durable leather. He pushes a medium sized chunk of rock out of his way, the rock grating as it slides, with him huffing as it tumbles down the other side of the tunnel. Smiling to himself, Kel freezes at the sound of a small crack coming from behind him. Sudden adrenaline surges in the man's body, scrambling forward to pull himself free from it just as a horrifyingly jagged boulder shifts and blocks the tunnel. He doesn't have much time to think on this, as this side of the tunnel is lower than the entrance, causing the rocks to form a steep slope.

Loud curses issue from Keldric's mouth as he tumbles down, his leather armor and gauntlets shielding him from most of the cuts and bruises. Alas, one stone does manage to slice his cheek, right before he comes to rest at the bottom of the incline. "Ugh... Dammit, you'd think I would have learned not to shove rocks around, by now! Well, Keldric, at least you made it to the other side, and without losing your pack, like in Chendorra. Wait... Where the hell is that thing?"

Keldric reaches down, opening one of the many pockets on the belt of his leather jerkin. He pulls out a small light crystal on a chain, lifting it up to illuminate his surroundings. The pack is nowhere to be found, in the small radius given off by the crystal. Lifting it higher, he looks back up the rockslide - and finds his pack snagged on a high up stone. The slope is too steep and unsound for him to fetch the bag.

"Oh, come on! I just bought that one! It's Chendorra all over again! Okay, where are the horrible little kobolds, come to try and cook me?!" Keldric angrily kicks a stone, sending it off into the darkness. Kel cries out in alarm as the stone flies back into the light, settling back in the exact place it had been resting. A khris is into Kel's hand faster than it takes for the rock to stop its wobbling, crouched in a ready stance. "Who's there? Answer now, and don't make me come get you!" Adrenaline pumps through his system, making it difficult to keep the blade steady in his gauntleted hand.

A few seconds later, a figure steps forward into the light, making Keldric's jaw drop in surprise. Stepping into the light is a pure white fox. From this distance, Kel sees that it would come up to his waist, with a long, bushy white tail flowing behind it. Coming closer, it is also evident that this is no ordinary beast of the wood, seeing as how its feet end not in paws, but in wisps of smoke. Even the tail ends in wisps of vapor.

An ominous, soft voice suddenly fills the space around the two, seeming to come from everywhere, yet no where, all at the same time. It is distinctly masculine, but soft enough to seem as if a man his age were speaking. "Leave this place, mortal, for you do not know what slumbers here. An ancient evil was laid to rest within these ruins, long, long ago. Turn back now, else you shall be consumed by the ones that were set here to protect, but tainted by the darkness that dwells here. This is your first, and final, warning..." During the entire exchange, all the young fortune seeker could do was stare at the ghostly image before him, unable to respond. Once the fox ends its brief warning, Kel splutters to ask questions about what exactly dwells here, but it is all in vain as the apparition has already blown away on a sudden, bone chilling gust of wind from deeper in the cave.

Shaking himself, Keldric begins pacing around in a small area around where the fox had stood, looking for a mirror or an illusory crystal - anything to hint at foul play by a magic user who has already found the treasure. Nothing remains to indicate that any other being had set up an illusion to deter other seekers. He was about to end his search when he suddenly comes across a small, metal ring in the shape of a fox chasing its own tail. Upon closer inspection, the metal that Kel assumed to be silver is actually quite heavier than any metal he has held, yet not as cumbersome as brass.

Knowing the dangers of enchanted rings and artifacts, Keldric does not slip the ring onto his finger, instead slipping it into a small pouch on his belt, making sure to cinch it tight. "Well, if this place has already been looted, at least I found something to pay for a new bag. A cave in won't stop me, so why let a ghost fox? If having a cousin who is a necromancer has taught me anything, it's that ghosts can't affect a living being without a host to inhabit. All those stupid pranks... I hate you, Mort." Keldric shakes his head, coming out of the reverie.

Slipping the light crystal about his neck, yet keeping one of his main blades in his palm, he starts walking down the rough stone tunnel. The only sound now is the crunch of loose gravel under his boots and his own breathing.

This continues for five solid minutes before the crunch of stone under boot ceases, to be replaced with the slap of boot on smooth stone. Crouching down, it becomes apparent that he has come to a part of the cave that was smoothed for easy travel. Looking to the sides of the walls, it seems that even these are as smooth as polished marble. Even the air, which had been stale and warm is replaced with a fresh tasting air that is pleasant against the treasure hunter's stubble covered face.

Feeling a bit warm in his armor, Keldric pulls off his gauntlets, undoing his belt to slip off his jerkin. Folding the jerkin up, he uses his second belt to tie it up and attach it to his main belt. Letting out a sigh of relief, Kel pulls his gauntlets back on, feeling much better in his white linen shirt. He looks down at his black leather leggings, giving off a mischievous smirk, but ultimately shakes his head. "Nah - I come across that ghost fox again, I don't think I want to be in only my small clothes." Still with a smile upon his face, he resumes his purposeful stride down the hall.

Another five minutes proves fruitless to the man, as all he can see are empty wall brackets and the dusty floor. Another few minutes changes nothing - until he suddenly spots a light coming from underneath the first door he has seen in this place. Pulling his light crystal from his neck and pocketing it, Kel crouches and pads over on silent, soft boots to the door.

Pressing his ear against it proves useless, as there is no sound in the room. Remaining motionless, to make sure that the room is indeed empty, Kel slowly eases the door open. He is mildly surprised that the door opens so well, seeing as how it is older than most other ruins Keldric has visited. He attributes it to sorcery, along with the unnatural preservation of the hallway.

Peeking into the room, it becomes clear that the source of light is in no way a mere fire. Upon a pedestal rests a necklace, radiating a soft, cyan light. It almost makes Keldric think of what it looks like to be submerged under the river at his childhood home, looking up at how the water would distort everything.

Once more clearing the reverie from his mind, Kel taps his forehead. "I really need to stop doing that." He whispers this to himself, making sure not to make too much noise, else it may alert any of the protectors that fox was speaking of.

Assured that the room is clear, he slides into it, closing the door behind him. He walks over to the radiant necklace, looking upon its wonder. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that this necklace would hold no value to those who collect gems. This necklace is adorned by a simple crystal vial, but it seems to be filled with the bluest, clearest water the young fortune seeker has ever seen before.

Putting his hand close to it, he feels a wave of contentment wash over him, like the cool waters of a calm spring, washing away all of his worries and soothing the soreness in his body. His fingers are close enough to touch the vial before he wrenches them away, smacking the side of his head. "Great - Now even the stuff in here is making me space out. Ugh - I don't know if I should even bother picking this one up... Eh, it's shiny..." Opening a pouch on his belt, Kel picks the necklace up by its chain with the tip of his khris, sliding it in before closing that one as well. "Well, that one can pay for the -"

His soliloquy is interrupted by the sudden appearance of two clawed mitts wrapping around his torso, lifting him up. Keldric squirms and flails, but cannot break the hold on him. Muttering the spell to activate his enchanted boots, a small blade extends from the back of his boot. He drives this into the leg of his attacker, forcing him to release him as a howl of pain escapes the unknown assailant, allowing him to drop down into a crouch, twist, and swipe his legs under the person behind him.

Jumping back to ready both of his daggers, Kel now has a full view of his attacker. The creature must be at least seven feet tall, very well muscled, and covered with dirty black, shaggy fur. It has the head of a wolf, making Keldric assume this is a werewolf from the Black Lands, but this one also seems to have a scorpion's tail with a black mane, like a lion. 'What the hell? Is this thing supposed to be a manticore or a werewolf?!' His answers will have to wait, for at that moment, the creature regains its footing, roaring out a challenge to the one who would disturb its treasure.

The beast lunges, taking a swipe at the crouched human, claws rending the air. Keldric ducks down, driving his blade deep into the horror's chest, between the ribs to strike its lung. A smirk crosses his lips, thinking he has already won, but is rudely wiped from his face as he gets thrown by the creature's fist crashing against his chest, sending him flying against the wall.

A loud gasp and cry of pain escapes his throat as he connects with the stone wall, driving the wind from his lungs. Keldric watches the beast lumber slowly towards him, but can only regain his footing at an even slower pace. In the throw, the pouch that had contained the necklace had ripped open, allowing it to spill onto the ground. Filled with a sudden desire to touch the soothing vial, Kel reaches forward, inching his way closer, as his lungs seem to refuse to hold oxygen in them. The were-abomination is close enough now that Kel can smell his overwhelming musk, and even see his pendulous balls swaying beneath a full, plump sheath. Kel's hand reaches the vial just as his assailant lifts his paw to smash down on the human's head - but time seems to stop as Kel makes contact with the vial.

Understanding flows into him as he develops a connection with the magics of the water contained in this crystal - A Varista Crystal of ancient legend, said to imbue the wearer with the magic of anything sealed within it. This vial contains the Water of Varista, renowned for its healing capabilities.

Time sets back into its standard pace just as Kel moves his head to the side, the massive footpaw landing less than a hairsbreadth away. With his remaining khris, Kel slices the back of it, severing the Achilles tendon. Suppressing a wince as he feels that his ribs are certainly cracked and may have pierced his lung, he launches himself up, knocking the monster onto its back.

Kel, unable to control himself as the magics take hold, grasps the heavy sheath beneath him. His hands softly massage the fuzzy covering until a black tip comes forth. Once it is out in the open, the hunter dives down onto it, licking at the sensitive flesh, coating it in his warm saliva. He lavishes attention upon the underside of the bestial shaft, dragging his tongue all over the smooth, ebon flesh.

Caught completely off guard, the werewolf/manticore can only whine and groan in lust, confused as to what is happening... But strangely enjoying this. This pathetic creature is doing a good job of giving pleasure, so why not let it continue? It can always be killed after it does its work. Always afterward.

Meanwhile, inside of Kel's mind, disgust rages through him at being unable to pull away from licking this beast's shaft, controlled by the necklace that had seemed his only way of surviving up to two minutes ago. He can't even force himself to gag as he takes the rapidly swelling tip in his mouth, sucking on the flesh while massaging the fuzzy balls hanging beneath. All he can do is watch himself bobbing up and down on the dick, a slight flush beginning to color his features as he tastes something potent and slightly bitter. 'It's the beast's pre... I'm actually sucking the dick of a monster, and tasting his pre... Oh Gods... This is so very wrong. I need to stop this. But it doesn't really taste that bad... What am I thinking?! It doesn't matter, this is a beast that wants to kill me! But it hasn't yet... So maybe it is enjoying this? Wait, then I should take this opportunity and kill it! If only I could move my own body! But then I wouldn't be able to taste this pre..."

His internal struggle continues, unknown to the abomination getting serviced by him, whom of which is simply enjoying the feel of a warm, wet maw sliding over his already pulsing, dripping shaft. It has been so very long since he had felt anything like this. He tries to remember when it was, but he always encounters a black wall whenever he tries to remember anything beyond guarding the shiny necklace on the pedestal. His thoughts derail once more at a particularly deep bob on his shaft, his knot already swollen to its max size. It wouldn't be long now until it would be time to end this creature and resume his post. His wonderful post.

Keldric is blushing furiously and unsure if the magic is keeping him massaging the balls of this terror or if it is of his own volition by now, swallowing down the copious amounts of pre-seed being fed to him. His other hand is grasped behind the knot, squeezing firmly as he continues his ministrations to the shaft in his mouth. His tongue slides all over the cock, making sure to tease the urethra when he pulls off, while bathing the fat knot in a mixture of pre and saliva on each deep intake.

The level of pulsing and twitching of the member signals that the beast is close, and about to fill his mouth with his spunk. The magics seem ecstatic about this, and finally divulge to him the fact that liquids given freely and from pleasure are more effective in healing than those taken with pain, and are required to mend the aches of his body. This knowledge is the perfect excuse for the treasure hunter to rationalize his need to get this monster off... Now if only he didn't feel so good, doing it.

Tossing his head back and releasing a howl that reverberates against the walls, the were-creature releases his long pent up seed into the human's eager mouth, causing most of it to shoot back out and cover the dirty, already matted fur of his crotch. Such a strong release leaves him shivering and twitching slightly, unable to move. He doesn't even pay attention to a sudden glowing blue light, so used to his precious necklace giving off the same light. He is much too interested in his afterglow.

The sheer volume of cum the monster produces is enough to cause Keldric to gag, pulling off as the rest shoots up to cover the chest of the beast. Upon seeing the released seed, Kel begins chanting under his breath the spell of Healing given to him by the necklace of Varista, relaxing as the liquid gives off a bright blue light, mending his cracked ribs and any other injuries he has already sustained. Once the blue light fades, Kel smiles and looks at the vial in his hands. "Wow... Useful thing."

The guardian opens his eyes and growls upon hearing the mortal speak, raising up slowly and reaching out to grab his victim. A chuckling growl emanates from him as he grasps around Keldric's throat, squeezing firmly. They are always so easy to kill... At least this one gave pleasure before it died.

That thought proved to be the last he ever had, as at that exact moment, Keldric buried his blade, covered in the healing semen, straight into the Dark creature's black heart. It was a last ditch effort on Kel's part, but it proved to work, as the manticore/werewolf hybrid begins to dissipate in a cloud of black fog, its grip disappearing around his throat.

Letting out a sigh of relief and wiping the spunk from his face , Kel gets onto his feet shakily, almost falling back down at one time. Looking at the necklace in his hand, he notices that the glow has dissipated, and the water is one third gone. Before he panics, the magic gifts him the knowledge that the vial refills itself once a day, and only has three uses per day. Slipping it around his neck, he retrieves his other blade from the floor where the creature had been laying, and wanders towards the door.

Before he makes it, the door flies open, revealing the white apparition that is the fox once more. It stares at Keldric with empty eyes, seemingly unconcerned that he was almost killed by a big dicked were-monster. "I told you to turn back. It is folly to venture any further. You were lucky to survive this encounter. I fear your luck will not last you another encounter with a Dark Guardian. Leave. Now."

Keldric expects the fox to blow away again, so he turns his attention to slipping his blades into their sheaths. When he looks back up, he finds the fox dashing at him, leaping up with jaws extended, ghostly teeth flashing, aimed straight for his throat - And everything goes dark for the treasure hunter.

"Turn back, all who enter. Nothing lies here for you but certain death. This is your first, and final, warning..."
