War of the Kaiju: Prologue
Since the year 1954, when the first of the Kaiju known as Godzilla, King of the Monsters, first appeared on the shores of Japan, the Earth has been plagued by a series of attacks from these biological giants know as Kaiju. Many have different and mysterious origins, but it has been most agreed upon that the nuclear activity on the planet Earth, ever since the fallout of World War II, is the cause that gave rise to the birth of so many of these monsters. But are they truly the monsters that humanity has thought of them to be? While many have sought the destruction of the human race, including the planet itself, a few such creatures have sought to protect us in a waging War of the Kaiju as well. Many battles have been fought between the two factions in the Kaiju War for the Earth's survival, and some Kaiju have even given their lives for their beliefs and ideals on both sides. However these battles between Titans spanning the globe has left much destruction, anger, and tears of loss and grief in their wake. Now humans are beginning to hate all Kaiju, including their protectors. It appears the war may be drawing to a close in its final days. The most recent battle has proven most disastrous as Godzilla has grown tired of defending a race that doesn't even want him or those of his kind to live in what they think is their world and theirs alone that would be better off without monsters like them. So he has chosen to side with the opposing faction to rid the Earth of the infestation of humanity. The extinction campaign began in Tokyo, Japan, birthplace of the Kaiju War, with Godzilla leveling the city with King Ghidorah and Gigan, two alien Kaiju from space who have come to cleanse the Earth for an alien race called the Infinities to conquer. They faced off against three of Earth's guardian Kaiju, Mothra, King Caesar and Anguirus. The battle was fought long and hard by both sides, not one of them going down with so much as a budge. It was too late when
the guardian Kaiju arrived for only half of the city was evacuated and the rest were killed in the onslaught. Billions of yen in property laid in ruin as the melee continued for hours. The Japanese government grew frustrated with what they saw as mindless destruction of their city. With the order made, missiles with explosive power to level mountains were sent to destroy the rampaging Kaiju. King Ghidorah and Gigan retreated soon to the sight of the missiles, leaving Godzilla alone to fight with the other three opposing Kaiju. King Caesar warned his fellow Kaiju of the impending missiles and told them to retreat for now. Anguirus burrowed deep into the Earth for safety. Mothra was about to leave with King Caesar until Godzilla gripped one of her legs, preventing her from taking off. King Caesar sought to save his companion by delivering a powerful kick to his abdomen. Toppling down, Godzilla fell down and before he could get up, King Caesar along with Mothra's powerful gusts with her colorful wings, pinned him down with crushing skyscrapers. Left vulnerable, the two Kaiju left their former comrade to his fate as they retreated to the waters of Tokyo Bay. Stuck under the heavy rubble, Godzilla saw the missiles coming to make impact with the ruins of Tokyo. In a last ditch effort to survive, just when the explosive missiles were about to land, Godzilla fired his Atomic Ray from his mouth to blow up the missiles. The impact between two powerful explosive forces caused an explosion of such high magnitude that the earth shook for miles around. Furthermore the loudest deafening boom was heard throughout Japan and when the smoke cleared all that was left was a large crater in the center of the ruined city. The sky turned to dark grey, the clouds blocked the sun and left the area in a pseudo-darkness. Soon ash began to drift from the shrouded heavens and down to the shattered earth, covering it in a blanket of bleak grey. All was dead with ominous silence, perhaps even Godzilla was dead. However he had been in situations like this before. Could he have survived..........?
