Master of Aura Chapter Ten
#10 of Master of Aura
As Ruli and the others reach Apec Town, they first return Silver to his family, where he patches up with his parents. Zane asks if he could use someone as a third member of his team, but at first he is denied. A new companion is found, however temporary, and Zane then challenges the town's gym, which has a unbeatable reputation for some unknown reason.
If you desire a part in the story, either as a pokemon or trainer, please send me a message to talk about it. (I'll also do cameos of trainers and pokemon for filler chapters where they will battle Zane and Ruli and the rest of his team (Winning or losing said battle not decided in advance, but gym leaders are off limits)) I need trainers for the pokemon who can assume the new mega forms coming in Pokemon X and Y. Those pokemon themselves I've already created personality wise, and would like their trainers to match them, but if you want to nickname them we can talk about that, or also, you could suggest (Or become) one of Zane's 3 (One has been claimed recently) remaining pokemon members to fill. (As well as their nickname).
Chapter 10
Zane shook me awake probably not even an hour after. I tried to ignore him at first and sleep, but he persisted and forced me to wake up. Silver was still fast asleep as I opened my eyes and sat up, rubbing them briefly with my paws as I groaned.
"Maaaaaaaan...that really was a mistake..." I yawned.
I recalled then all the issues I had again and whined lightly, but Zane took it as me whining because of my tiredness, but he then saw Silver laying there in his normal fur.
"Hey, Eevee's in his normal fur?"
"Yeah." I told him while looking at the sleeping Eevee a moment, "I got him to except his color, and I gave him a name, call him Silver." I turned over to him a moment, "Oh! He doesn't want to go back inside the pokeball either, he wants to stay out."
"Why's that? How did you get him to accept it?"
I blushed and sighed, and used my mental connection to Zane then to send him memories of the night, and he blinked softly as he watched them, up till the point where we made the connection and he chuckled.
"Did you have fun?" He grinned down at me and I blushed brighter and whined.
"There's more though..." I fully expected my link to Zane to be broken as I tried to tell him about what the gem had told me, but I was surprised to find it didn't snap apart, and I was able to tell him eveything about what the gem had told me.
Zane looked down at me sadly at that point, as I looked down at my own feet and sighed.
"I dont' know what to do..."
"Hey easy Ruli..." He patted my head softly.
I softly moved his hand away from my head as I looked up at him. "Why did you do what you did with me, if you knew what was happening..."
He stayed silent a moment, before he sighed himself, "Herb told me you wanted to make a mental connection, and he told me how, and what it implied. There's a reason why herb never had any kids or wife or something of his own. If I happen to go and have sex with another human, the connection you and I share will break, and we could never reform it."
"What? But then..."
He shrugged, "I'll never have kids or a wife either." He chuckled, "Don't worry though Ruli, I don't care, I honestly highly doubt I'll be able to settle down for a long time. Journey's can go much longer than just eight badges, there are many other leagues we can challenge, and I'm sure more and more will appear."
I shook my head lightly and whined, "no no Zane...if...if you ever can find someone...being able to speak to each other isn't important. I'm sure we can work out something come the day you...find someone esle."
Zane stared at me as I looked up at him, before he hugged me tightly a moment and whispered, "Well...all right Ruli...but for now, we'll enjoy each other's company."
I hugged him back tightly, closing my eyes and hiding my face in his chest. "All right Zane...I'm sorry..."
"It's all right, I understand." He smiled and patted my head, "You wanted to be able to speak with me, not be mates." He chuckled and I smiled a bit myself.

With things seemingly patched up with Zane, I believed I didn't need to much worry about how Silver felt, he was practically skipping as he walked next to me while we followed behind the two humans along the path. I was exhausted though, the lack of sleep was dragging me down, he seemed to have endless energy.
"He's happy to have you." I heard the gem chuckle to me once as I was wondering again, "Are you happy to have him?" I was surprised once again that it didn't break the connections forcefully.
I had to think a moment before I sighed inwardly and thought back to the gem, keeping the conversation private. "I don't know...I didn't realize what I was doing when I did what I did..."
"Do you regret it?"
"No, I just don't know what I feel...I mean, I have fun with Silver, I'm sure I could be happy with him, but..."
"If you had known beforehand, you probably wouldn't have done that huh?"
I nodded lightly, "Yeah I suppose that's what I feel."
"You could get a female anytime you know still."
I shook my head at that, "I don't know..."
The gem stayed silent a moment longer before continuing, "Listen...Ruli, I-"
"You called me by my name?" I thought back in disbelieve.
"Don't get so surprised...I may...have been a little too harsh with my previous judgements." The gem sighed to me, "The more I've been able to spend time here on the surface, I've heard so many different pokemon's thoughts. This world is magnificent. Humans have only made parts of it better. Nature has flourished so much, and the era of technology and the humans stick to their own places. Their cities and towns, as they've been called. They stay there, and leave pokemon and nature mostly alone."
I listened silently as I padded behind Zane, as the gem continued, "When we next stop, why don't you ask Zane to get a string."
"For what?" I tilted my head on reaction, typical canine move.
"To tie me around your neck."
"A necklace?" I chuckled and grinned.
"Well, for whatever happens, so I'm always around to help you, and once you evolve, that we can readily merge whenever we need to."
I giggled again and nodded, "All right, I'll get Zane to get us something to use in Apec Town."

The next two days to Apec Town were pretty much eventless. Travel, eat, rest, sleep, and travel again seemed to be the way of events. I told Zane what the gem had said, that it wanted to get something so I could wear it around, and he agreed when I said it didn't seem like it was going to do anything bad with it.
When we did reach the town, it was about a hundred seventy miles in total that we had traveled from Chrom City. We stood right in front of the town's main gates along the trail and looking up at the inviting sign.
"We traveled a lot to get here." Fredrick said with a grin as he crossed his arms.
"Almost too much." Zane groaned and shook his feet lightly, and I whined and nodded next to him. Silver stood beside me, he almost never left my side, which I admit, I enjoyed his company more and more, he was warm to cuddle up to at night, and he was fine leaving me to my thoughts.
"Come on, let's stop at the pokemon center to rest up a bit." Fredrick suggested and we explored the city a bit.
Finding the pokemon center was easy enough, and we were given a small hotel like room to rest in while were in town. Zane showered while me and Silver laid together on the comfy bed. Fredrick left us for the moment to gather info on the gym for Zane.
When Zane came out the shower, he exited wearing absolutely nothing. While I had seen him naked before back at his home, getting to see him full on was different. I averted my gaze with a heavy blush as he dressed next to the bed. Silver however, didn't mind staring, and I could feel his arousal poking into me as he did and I gave him a light kick with my foot and a little stare.
"So," Zane started after he pulled up his underwear, "First things first, we're not likely to get lucky a second time and get the gym leader to bend the rules for us again. We need a third member."
Silver sat up slowly and he looked at me and said, "If we go to where my family is, we could get another of my siblings to join us, if only for a bit I suppose."
I translated what he said to Zane, and he nodded and asked while slipping up his jeans, "Where are they Silver?"
"The town's power company, my parents work there charging the power generator, they're both Jolteons." he reminded me and I translated again.
"All right! Let's go there!" Zane said as he finished putting a shirt on.
___________________________
The power company for the town wasn't exactly nonchalant about its purpose, there was a huge coil on the top of the building that practically had electricity jumping off itself, which was caught by lightning rods all along the roof of the building. Each of those were actually connected to a wire, which stretched out across the town in different directions.
"geez." I said as I looked at the coil, the sight of it making me shiver as it reminded me of Steve's contraption he had used on me back in Chrom City.
"Right?" Silver chuckled as he looked up with me. "Normally, I'd feel really nervous to be back here, but I have you with me, and Zane. Come on! I'll show you to my family."
He ran up to the doorway eagerly and jumped up against it as we followed behind. He jumped again a second time, tapping his head against the glass of the door lightly and finally someone answered the door.
"Yes, who is it?" A voice drolled at first, his face buried in a clipboard even as he answered the door. He wore a typical technicians uniform, a green work suit with yellow highlights so others were more aware of him.
"Hey!" Silver shouted up at the human and he moved the clipboard to look down.
"Eevee! You came back!" He smiled and became much more lively, his clipboard forgotten as Silver ran past the person's legs, and I quickly followed him before the human could react, leaving Zane to explain to the worker who he was and why Silver was with us.
Silver ran through the corridors of the building, until he reached a large room where many yellow colored and spiked canine pokemon were firing jolts of their electricity into what must of been the bottom part of the large coil. The room itself was surrounded by glass, but it had a few holes cut in here and there.
"Mom! Dad!" Silver shouted into the room as he jumped on the glass. Two of the Jolteons inside the room stopped their firing and turned their heads, turning fully and running up to the glass as they saw Silver there.
"Son! You're okay! Thank goodness...you worried me sick you know that?" I guessed it was his father that was speaking, as I watched close by him and they made murring sounds at each other through the glass.
"I know dad, I know...and I'm sorry...but I've come back! Well...for now..." he added at the end with a little shrug.
"For now? What do you mean."
"I got caught by a trainer." Silver whispered almost to the point that we almost couldn't hear him.
I jumped a bit as the two Jolteons started to bristle on the other side of the glass, their fur bristling vividly as they growled.
"Easy!" Silver whined and his parents blinked, calming down slowly. "It's my fault for running away, the trainer had no idea I came from here..."
The male Jolteon turned toward me, "And is this pokemon here one of that trainer's pokemon?"
I nodded lightly, "Y-yes. I am." I gulped and stared right into the eyes of the Jolteon.
And it was just in time that Zane caught up with us then, the two parent's attention taken away from me thankfully, as they focused on him.
"Hey Silver, did you find your parents?"
"This is them." I told him while looking up at him.
"Oh." Zane kneeled down so he was at the same height as the Jolteons. "Listen," He started, "The worker here just told me that your son was property of this station, but that they never bothered to put you in pokeballs so there was no way to know. Now that I captured him though, his bound to his pokeball, so there's no choice but for him to come with me."
"Yeah." Silver added in, "Plus, I really like it with Zane and Ruli. They are both really nice to me." He wagged his tail lightly and murred.
I saw the look in his dad's eyes soften a bit and he sighed, "Well, I know you never really liked being here son...if the trainer is nice...You wouldn't want one like Flash's would you?"
I perked my ears at that and stepped foward, "Excuse me, Flash?"
The Jolteon nodded, "Do you know him?"
I shook my head, "Not exactly, but we are looking for a Jolteon who once was owned by a human named Steve."
"You know of Steve?" I looked around the glass to see another Jolteon stepping up to the glass, but he limped oddly, at first I believed that he was just old, but then I noticed that part of his left hind leg was fake from halfway down.
"Oh...my..." Zane gasped as he saw the Jolteon, waiting until the injured pokemon sat next to the other two, grunting and wincing visibly as he pointed his unbending fake limb out away from his body. The Jolteon stared at me and then at Zane, his gaze hardening as he looked my trainer.
"You are Steve's son...I remember you, barely...I've missed you."
"Flash...I forgot your name." Zane sighed as he looked down, "I can barely remember anything from that far back."
"You know Flash?" Silver whispered to me in my ear and I nodded, giving him the details quickly with our mental link.
"Oh...that's terrible." He whined as he looked back at Flash, while Zane put his hand on the glass and the pokemon pressed his head against the glass. "I always wondered how he injured his leg...Zane's dad did it huh...?"
"Flash..." Zane sighed again, "I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault Zane." Flash said softly as I translated for him, "It does give me a great amount of happiness to see you again now though." His spiky tail wagged behind himself as he smiled.
"We saw Midnight too." I told him as I stepped foward, "He told us to say hi for him when we found any of his brothers."
"How is Midnight? The last I saw him, me and my brothers had to leave him to his fate in the caves..."
"He's fine, well, on nights of the full moon anyways. Zane's mom is trying to find someway to help him."
"He's in good hands then." Flash nodded and looked at Silver, "Welcome home young one, I warned you not to get caught didn't I?" He chuckled and Silver blushed.
"You knew he ran away?" Silver's dad growled at the other male, who only laughed.
"Oh please, you said it yourself, he did not feel welcome here. His siblings picked on him, humans gave him too much attention, and you two were too busy to attend to him." He looked back at the coil. "Speaking of which, perhaps you should go back to helping the others keep up the workload?"
"Oh shoot!" The spiky pokemon jumped to his feet, "Sorry son, we have to get back to work."
Silver smiled and nodded, "It's okay dad, I know. I'll see you again before we leave town, I promise." With a few smiles, the two parents dashed back to their positions, their bodies sparking up as they sent electricity back up into the coil.
"Don't you help with this too Flash?" Zane asked but the yellow pokemon shook his head.
"No, unfortunately, Steve's past experiments have all but robbed me of the ability to produce even the smallest spark of electricity. I merely keep them in line, make sure they are all healthy and don't overwork themselves."
I whined. It seemed Steve's experiments on his pokemon had involved taking their own power for some purpose.
Zane seemd to read my mind in that, "What did my dad do to you Flash?"
"A few times a week, he would connect me to a machine that would send thousands of volts of electricity through my body." I again remembered the machine I had been connected to, had it been the same thing?
"Normally, my body can handle a few hundred jolts, but the volume he was sending through me was much more than I could handle naturally. The goal of this was to try and force my body into adapting to the volume, so that my own power would become multiplied. But...one day...he tried to increase the power far beyond what he normally used. It overloaded me, I could not contain it in my body anymore and the power exploded from me. It destroyed the lap, injured Steve, and my own leg was severed by a stray lightning bolt."
Flash closed his eyes and sighed, "I blacked out, and woke up with this replacement leg. I was broken, unable to create any electricity, and Steve stopped all experiments on me. It wasn't long after that me and my brothers fled from him."
"Was the replacement limb made by my dad?" Zane asked, a little hopefully.
"I do not know. That would be something to ask your mom." Flash told him, then he grinned a bit, "It is nice to think that Steve still cared enough to make it though now that you mention the possibility, I just always assumed it was your mom honestly..."
"I see..."
There was silence a moment, before Flash said, "I assume you are not here just to see your father's old pokemon are you?" He chuckled lightly.
"Oh," Zane started and cleared his head, "I'm on my journey actually, you know Ruli and Silver are my pokemon already."
"You're here to challenge the gym then." Flash confirmed and Zane nodded.
"You need three members on your team for that though." Flash reminded us and Zane sighed.
"Yeah I know, I kinda came here hoping we could get one of Silver's siblings to join us, but they are property of the station. I'm already taking Silver away from them, on accident of course, they won't let me take another on purpose."
Flash stared at him a moment, and he eventually said, "I'll do it."
"You?" Zane stared back and he laughed softly, "But, you can't create any electricity, and you are injured, how can you fight?"
"I don't need to fight. You know the rules don't you? They don't change often. As I remember when I traveled with Steve long ago, you just need three pokemon, nothing says all three have to fight, you just need to have three on your team."
"That's true." Zane said and he smiled brightly. "Are you allowed outside of the station."
"I'm not essential here, no. I can leave for a small period of time." Flash nodded and he rose up to his legs, and he walked over to a door in the glass I had not noticed before.
"Open the door please!" He called out loudly to no one in particular, but I saw one of the Jolteons in the line working on the coil fire a bolt along the coil to a wire connected to it, and it moved quickly along it across the room to the door, which beeped and popped open just enough to let Flash exit before it closed again quickly.
"No one else but us can get in." He grinned at me as I tilted my head at him and he looked at Zane.
"Let's go then Zane, this will be like old times with Steve..." He murred happily, his eyes becoming unfocused as he lost himself in memories.
______________________________
Flash's limb made getting to the gym a little difficult, but we arrived in due time. Fredrick was waiting there already, leaning beside the doorway, looking his usual cool self.
"You're here." He chuckled and then he noticed the Jolteon we had with us. "Who's that?"
"It's Flash." Zane told him, "My dad's Jolteon."
"Oh..." He said simply and left it at that. "This means you have three members of your team though." He realized and nodded.
"Yeah, but I only have two pokemon who can really fight, Flash can't fight with his leg like that. Did you find out anything about the gym leader?"
"Yeah I did, though it's not much, and it's disheartening."
"What is it?"
"The gym leader here is a energetic girl named Naru, she uses electric type pokemon. You're at neither an advantage or a disadvantage against her with your current set up. But..." he paused a moment, "according to the gym records, and from what everyone in this town has told me, no one has ever won against her, they've never given out a single badge since opening."
"What? Did they say why?" Zane asked confused.
Fredrick shook his head, "No one was willing to tell me how, and some don't even know."
"Okay..." Zane said softly and he scratched his head, "I guess the only way to find out is to challenge her?"
"I suppose that does seem to be the only way. The door's open at least." Fredrick pointed his thumb at the door. "Head on in."
Zane pushed open the door, which opened up straight into the areana just like back in Chrom City, except the floor itself was yellow colored to so the difference in types for the gym.
"Hello?" Zane called out at first, his voice echoing slightly, and then there was a sudden large poof of smoke appeared on the far end of the stadium.
"Heeeeeelllllllo Challenger!!!!" A perky sounding voice shouted as the smoke cleared, revealing a young girl who was striking a pose.
"Oh it's been FOREVER since someone challenged me, I've been so bored!" She stomped around a bit.
"You're the gym leader?" Zane asked, a little unbelieving I could tell, this girl was probably five years younger than he was!
"Yes I am! I'm Naru, the gym leader here!" She responded while grabbing a pokeball from her waist, "I see you have three pokemon, so we're all set to go with this!" She tossed her ball, and there was a flash of the usual white light.
I watched as it formed into a small shape, as it flashed into its form and a small yellow pokemon was revealed, standing on six legs as it crawled around. It looked like a bug, with two fairly big eyes shining as it looked at me. This thing was so small! I could squash it under my foot!
"Joltik, ready to go?" She called out and the pokemon made a clicking noise that even I couldn't understand. I had to try and stop myself from laughing, it was so puny!
Fredrick quickly took the spot he had taken in our last battle, apparently this girl had been willing to just go right at the battle without a ref.
Zane looked down at me, "You ready to fight Ruli?"
I tested my arms, lifting them up above my head without even a single twinge of pain, looks like they had managed to fully heal.
"Yeah, I'm ready!" I told him and dashed out into the areana.
"Oh he's so cute!" Naru shouted and it made me blush just a bit. I was thankful that at least there was no crowd watching this time.
Fredrick was about to start introductions and officially start the battle, but Naru seemed too eager,"Let's get right into it then! Joltik! String shot!"
The bug like pokemon in front of me reared back on its hind legs a moment, before slamming down and a spray of white fluid shot from its mouth at me. I dodged, but somehow a single string caught onto my foot. This stuff was super sticky! It clung to me and held me in place as more and more was wrapped up around me to the point that I could barely move. I struggled against it in place, trying to pry my arms free. How did a little bug like that produce so much silk?!
"Good! Now use Electroweb while it's stuck!"
The pokemon shot another string of web at me, but this time, the web crackled and sparked with an electrical charge.
It covered me as I was stuck and could not move, falling over me like an odd blanket. If I wasn't stuck I could've easily ducked out of the way. Even through the web already covering me, I felt jolts of electricity zapping me. I yelled out in shock. The attack was fairly weak, but I could not free myself from the attack covered as I was, and it only continued to zap and shock me more and more.
"Now, use tackle!" I heard the gym leader shout and I looked at the pokemon as it skittered across the areana and jumped into the air to slam down on me.
"Ruli! Use Counter!" Zane shouted out to me and I readied myself, focusing my energy to embrace the impact of the Joltik's tackle.
It slammed into me hard, its head bashing against my body and pushing me down onto the ground. The webbing broke as I hit the ground, and I burst free while absorbing the power of the physical attack, redirecting it to my legs, which I kicked out with while adding my own power into the kick.
The bug huffed out as I kicked it in the stomach, and sent it back to its side of the stage through the air, where it landed on its back with a small cloud of dust.
"Ah! Joltik!" Naru called out to her pokemon, who responded only with a light click before it laid still on its back, it's legs all curled up against its body.
"Joltik is unable to battle, the first win goes to Zane!" Fredrick called out, and I jumped into the air a moment.
"Yeah awesome!" Zane shouted as Naru called the Joltik back and she produced another pokeball.
"Not done yet, I've got two pokemon left! Manectric, you're up!" She threw the ball, another flash of white light forming in front of me as another pokemon formed from it, flashing into view as a yellow and blue spiky, four legged pokemon. It looked much like Flash did.
It barked in eagerness and I jumped a bit at the surprising loudness. This pokemon was about my height, but from the looks of him, he was evolved, I was at a bit of a disadvantage for that.
"Stay focused Ruli! Let's launch the first attack and keep pressing, get in close with Quick Attack!"
I dashed forward quickly, but the other pokemon seemed to be able to follow my movement perfectly. I jumped up to attack as I drew in close.
"Static!" Naru called, and the pokemon's fur became charged and sparked brightly as I flew at him. I was unable to stop, as I made my attack and tried to jap at him with my paw, but instead of hurting him as I though it would, I only became shocked and zapped, yelping as I fell down in front of the pokemon, shivering as sparks danced around my body. I was starting to feel heavy, which wasn't good.
"Bite!" The gym leader called out again, and the canine pokemon opened up his maw to show me glinting rows of sharp teeth.
"Rawr!" He growled at me as he pounced on me and bit me on the side.
I yelled out in pain as I felt his teeth peirce the skin and draw blood. But at the same time, I felt something dark try to grip at my mind, but I pushed it away with my conciousness easily. I struggled and tried to free myself from the grip of the pokemon's jaw, which surprised Naru it seemed.
"How is he struggling!? Flinch dang you flinch! You're supposed to flinch."
"Ruli's immune to flinching!" Zane clapped his hands together, "His steadfast ability makes him immune to flinching!"
I blinked a bit, ability? It was the first I heard of it, but Zane called out to me, "Use Force Palm Ruli! Up and close, right in the face!"
I grinned now, holding out my paw as I focused my emotions into my palm. Manectric looked at my paw in worry, but he was unable to unlock his jaw from biting me yet. Apparently this "flinching" was meant to be a part of the move, but I was immune to it so now I had an advantage instead!
"Take this!" I yowled as I planted my palm on his cheek, the power in my palm exploding out and hit him square on. He barked out in pain, but his tight hold on my body would not release, and he started to shake his head back and forth, attempting to shake me off.
"Ahhhhhh! Stop!" I shouted at him but he refused. I could feel his teeth grinding into my skin more and more, pain flashing through me and I felt myself starting to fade already, the injury bleeding down onto the areana.
"Keep using Force Palm Ruli! Slap him silly!"
I continued to use Force Palm as much as I could, gathering energy each time before bashing out against the canine's face. After six more slaps, he finally seemed to lose his effort, his shaking stopping slowly as he panted, and eventually, fell down to his gut on the ground. He passed out, letting me roll free of his jaw as I panted and moaned, matching bite marks on my side.
I rose up slowly, holding onto my side with one paw and panting as I tried to hold on to my consciousness, but just like before I could feel the urge to just faint and rest pulling at my mind. I couldn't handle another battle...I was going to pass out for sure if I took anymore damage.
"Menectric is unable to battle! Zane wins the second round!"
"Ruli!" Zane called out to me, "Return!" I sighed lightly, still holding my side as I walked over to my trainer.
"Are you all right Ruli?" he asked and moved my paw to look at the bite marks on my body. Silver was just as anxious, looking over the marks with a look of worry in his eyes.
"Y-yeah...I'm fine, it'll heal, just like everything else. Heh..." I panted and whined in pain, sitting down quickly to rest and closing my eyes. "I cant' do anymore though...I can't take anymore...sorry..."
"Naw you did awesome." Zane said.
"Indeed." Flash commented, "Not usually can one pokemon take out two...something is off...why has no one ever won here? This seems too easy."
I looked over at Naru, she was standing there, tapping her foot against the ground, "Are you almost done?! Pick another pokemon already!"
Zane scowled and he looked at Silver, "I guess it's your turn Silver, just be careful, it's your first battle."
Silver nodded and he yipped excitedly, "I'll do my best, gotta keep up with Ruli!" He smiled at me and I smiled at him a moment, before wincing in pain and gripping my side with my paw again. When I opened my eyes again, Silver was already standing out in the areana.
"All right!" Naru grinned and she grabbed pokeball, "It's time you find out why they call me unbeatable!" She looked at the pokeball in her hand, "It's all thanks to this one! Go Ampharos!" She tossed the ball, the flash of light quickly forming into a tall pokemon with a few black stripes and a small red gem on her head and at the tip of her tail.
"Hehe!" The Ampharos giggled as she stretched out a bit, "Time to have some fun?"
She seemed very confident. She didn't look that powerful, but that was when I watched Naru dig into her pocket, and she took out a small gem. It glowed with a bright yellow light, swirling with mists.
"That gem!" I gasped and I heard my own gem shout in my head at the same time, "It's one of the other Mega Pokemon! Like me!"
"Zane!" I shouted at him, but too late, as Naru held up the gem above her head and it flashed brightly.
"What! What is that!?" Fredrick shouted as he and Zane both had to hold their arms up to shield themselves from the bright light.
As the light faded, everyone but Naru gasped once we could see. The Ampharos had changed! White hair flowed freely from it's head and tail now, covered in red gems that sparkled, the horns on her head had grown as well, sparks of electricity zapping between them as she waved her head, the white mane flowing elegantly.
"It's Mega Ampharos!" I heard the gem shout at me again, as Naru put the now dim and dark gem into her pocket "How is she here!?"
"Behold the power of Megaevolution!" Naru chuckled loudly and she pointed at Silver, "Go Ampharos! Thunder Punch!"
The tall and elegant looking super pokemon drew her fist back, charges of electricity gathering at her fist until I could see the glow behind her. The power was incredible! She leaned down before charging forward, the flashing power of the attack flowing behind her.
"Get out of there Silver!" I called out, ignoring how my side burned.
But the Eevee seemed frozen in place, his tail tucked down under him as he cowered in place, too scared to move. I called out again as the Ampharos stamped down in front of my friend, and she punched out with the glowing yellow fist, striking him right in the face.
"Nooooo!" I had to cover my eyes myself this time, as the power of the electric type move caused a bright flash of light.
(To be continued)
