All seems well in Equestria, it's a nice, warm, sunny day, but beneath Canterlot, in a known part of the Crystal Catacombs that has been turned into a dungeon, a black and yellow Pegasus rests, locked behind walls ten-layers thick, the walls and door protected by spells cast by generations of Unicorns and the beloved Royal Sisters. This Pegasus, by the name of Black Gold, rests, biding her time and gathering her strength to get free once again. Days pass while she's in her cell, or is it years? decades? there is no way to tell in the darkness that is her confinement. Finally, Black Gold stands, taking a deep breath before sending her mind out of her cell, slipping between the spells that she has had so long to prod at and find ways around, once her mind is free, she calls upon the darkness within Equestria and all it's inhabitants, the Castle rumbling as she draws upon the darkness for power, putting strain on them. The guards rush over to try to stop her but are quickly overwhelmed by the darkness, by the time Black Gold walks out of her cell, the guards lie dead at her feet. She heads for the surface to begin searching for her most Beloved thing in the world that was taken from her before she was locked away. She stops when she reaches the surface, taking a quick moment to bask in the sunlight she hasn't seen in a millennia. She lets out a sigh, saying "beautiful sun, how I've missed your light so..." She eventually draws the attention of a nearby Pony by the name of Cloud Chaser, who walks over saying "hello, I haven't seen you around here before, what's your name?" Black Gold responds with a simple sentence "Black Gold" before tackling her, kissing her. Thick oil fills her mouth and lungs, quickly drowning her in the thick sludge. She then sucks the oil back out of her, taking Cloud Chasers poor soul with it, Cloud Chasers skin, fur, and feathers turn black, quickly followed by her eyes. Black Gold then straightens, letting out a deep laugh that echoes through Canterlot. The sisters hear it, gasping as Celestia says "oh no... it can't be..." Back at Black Gold, a crowd is murmuring around her, having witnessed the murder of Cloud Chaser, Black Gold takes to the sky, working to get away from the majority of ponies. The Pegasus give chase, most not fast enough to keep up, but those who can grab clouds, working to take Black Gold out of the sky with lightning. Black Gold weaves and dodges, soon reaching the ocean, which she pins her wings and dives into, sinking below the surface. The Pegasus do their best to search but can find nothing, they eventually turn to try for help from the better suited Sea Ponies. The slowest of the group meets an untimely fate though as Black Gold surfaces, grabbing her before dragging her under again, repeating the process that she did to Cloud Chaser but below the Water this time, her body soon floats to the surface, black as oil.

The Pegasus begin getting worried, getting specialized guards who can dive under the water for extended periods of time, said guards begin searching, but one by one, their bodies float to the surface, as black as the others. The Pegasus raise their altitude, watching, waiting for her to surface instead of searching, one says "she's got to surface soon right?I mean, there's no way she could hold her breath for much longer..." They continue watching, while a couple miles down the coast, Black Gold slips out of the water and onto the shore, unseen. She shakes the water off, chuckling to herself as she takes to the air, heading for the nearest unsuspecting Pony, she manages to catch just the right one, a Zebra by the name of Zecora, who she promptly kills, taking her soul through the oil. once that's done, she flicks her tail, changing into Zecora's image. Zecora then walks toward Ponyville, planning on finally getting back the one thing she's ever wanted. About half way there, she's stopped by a black of magic, the sisters landing in front of her "we meet again Black Gold." Celestia says with distain in her voice, as if Black Gold is but a speck on her white fur that will not go away. Black Gold laughs, changing back to her true form with a flick of her tail "new that wouldn't work for long, Salutatio mea prisonatoribus." (for those who don't know Latin, that means "greetings my imprisoners") She then grins "or have you forgotten the olden tongue?" "no, we haven't." they reply "and you shall feel our wrath!" they say before rising into the air, combining their powers for a massive attack against Black Gold. Black Gold defends by stamping the ground, a small geyser of oil rising into the air, taking the shot and dragging it down into the earth. "This would never have happened if you hadn't taken it." Black Gold says coldly. "hmph, we only want to know how you broke through our prison." Black Gold dives through the oil, tackling Luna, stopping inches from her mouth, an oily sheen on her lips "either of you move and she's dead" The two freeze, scowling. Celestia speaking "why are you doing this?" Black Gold gets angered by this, her voice wavering between angering and sorrow when she screams "you fucking forgot!?" Celestia, unnerved by her anger, looks at her with shock as Black Gold continues "you took my Alicorn status, my horn, most of my magic, but that wasn't enough, no, you took my fucking soul and split it into six parts! Without my consent, you did it while I was asleep. you made your precious Elements of Harmony out of me. But there was an unforeseen consequence, you took my ability to truly live" Black Gold shifts forward, impaling her chest on Luna's horn, a sure shot through the heart, yet she pulls back, the wound sealing over, not a drop of blood flowing from her unbeating heart "you took my ability to truly die." she finishes sadly. Luna, still shocked by the revelation, replies "W-we're sorry... this was an unforeseen outcome... but in the end" the sister now speak in unison "you're still a villain, and we will stop you, just like THIS" They disappear, having teleported out, a rainbow surrounds Black Gold, enveloping her in light, the mane six on the horizon, using their Elements to defeat her. Black Gold laughs "welcome home!" she cries jubilantly as she opens her mouth, the rainbow flowing into her, changing to black and gold. The mane six feel a pull deep within them as their elements are torn from them, traveling down the black and gold rainbow to Black Gold, they then enter her mouth, the rainbow disappearing as Black Gold collapses "finally... I can rest..." she closes her eyes, breathing out as she falls into the eternal abyss, finally free.
