in the forest of viridian is supposed to be the habitat of many wild pokemon, perfect for you to train against! and so with Brasa, dare and ali you pit them and agaisnt wild pokemon after wild pokemon. you count numerous weedles, rattata, caterpies and even a few metapod. but even with their skills and your leadership you can see the strain showing though them.
during the time spent training Brasa and dare are evidently stronger and you feel like you can take on the gym leader with them, but the main highlight was with ali. he had grown strong enough to evolve! and so, your tiny little caterpie evolved into metapod, and learned the move harden," ali is lot stronger than any of your common metapods and/or garden matapods" you think to yourself still grinning from the previous battle.
it was against a pikachu and it very nearly got dare, but you switched out to ali and together you knocked the pikachu out, you would have tried to catch it too, if it's trainer hadn't have suddenly came out of nowhere and sorted the situation out. apparently the pikachu didn't like it's trainer that much and ran of as soon as possible, but and ali were there to help. then all of a sudden out of the corner of your eye you see a bright white light, when you turned around to see what it was, it was coming from ali. just like that, ali evolved from caterpie to metapod, it was your first evolution that you saw with your own eye. the sight was mesmerizing.
but getting back in track after all, you are almost out, and with your team stronger than before the morale is going strong. it's good because you feel you're running low on potions from all that battling, not to mention your pokemon are looking a little week, apart from Brasa, like the time before he seemed to be acting weird, but it seemed he too realized that you giving him a 'helping hand' would be a bad idea in an area almost inhabited by trainers and Pokemon alike!
after exiting the Forrest you come across a quint city which of course, goes by the name of pewter city, it's huge entrance seems as inviting as it seems asking for a challenge. you go through the pokemon center on your way through the city, to heal up your pokemon and to look at the town map to see where the inn, the pokemart and the gym. after figuring out where and the best inn that would cater for allowing pokemon out of there pokeballs for the cheapest price.
the inn in itself was a very good place indeed, it had B&B, it's own restaurant (which you plan on visiting for dinner) and a good restroom which allowed pokemon and trainer in as long as they all followed the same rules that apply to us (e.g. if your male, go into the male bathroom), but when you went to do a number 2 you noticed that there was a hole in the stall where it connected to a second stall. the bedroom, that you had asked for was a spacious room obviously intended for pokemon of any size, with a big king sized bed.
after having dinner in the inn (it even fed your pokemon) you have some time to kill, so you decide to check out the gym. when you get there you see that it's closed, and appears that it's open until dinner... damn just missed it. soooo... now what?
A. damn that food really goes through, you need to go to the toilet again (glory hole time :D)
B. help Brasa out now
C. sleep time now, got to get up for the first gym battle
