#89 of Iron Dragon

"You seem in an exceptional mood this morning." Roslyn said as she got out of the shower after her morning run.

Nodrog smiled. "Of course, I really look forward to playing music with the band. I have been so busy, it has been a while."

"I guess you have a point there. You have been gone a great deal this year." Roslyn said and let out a surprised little cry when Nodrog gave her firm ass a swat with his tail.

"Couldn't resist." Nodrog chuckled as Roslyn gave him a dirty look.

Roslyn finished getting dressed and thought that maybe Jenny was a bad influence on Nodrog. She did not remember him being so... playful. Of course the universe was very different back then, though he was still a very good lover. Granted back then he had so much more to take care of since he was in charge of so much and so many.

Back then they usually left their work at work. Because there were stretches they would not see each other for months at a time. So when they did get time together, neither one of them wanted to think or talk about what had kept them apart. Roslyn was still acting tough on the outside, but on the inside she really was happy to get letters from Tera and Sarnia.

Later in the month she would actually meet one of the Valkyrie from this world. The woman would be coming out with some staff to do some robotics work. Right now Roslyn was following Nodrog to the other building and up to the lounge. Where Nodrog was going to shoot some pool with Sherman, and she was going to play some darts with Stacy.

Stacy's dart game has also greatly improved since they started. It was something to do while they were stuck waiting to fly people back to base from all points of the globe. Roslyn was very impressed with how quickly the little lion picked up new skills, and always managed to exceed expectations when Roslyn tested her. Though Roslyn could not understand why Stacy did not want to learn how to fly fighters. Stacy would not say why and Roslyn figured she should not press the issue.

Something Roslyn did know was that Tera could not wait for her trip to earth. The young lady was more excited about the trip than the performances. Though Tera asked Roslyn not to tell anyone that, she was excited about the performances too. Tera would be staying on company grounds for her month long visit and hoped to spend time with Roslyn when she wasn't busy with other things.

Roslyn took her loss to Stacy a little better than Sherman did, but then it would be hard to prove if Nodrog cheated or not. Somehow Roslyn doubted the iron dragon would cheat at something as trivial as a pool game. He might cheat at other things, but most likely not a pool game with a friend.

"I suppose I should get changed and head downtown." Nodrog said as he glanced at his watch.

"I thought it was a little later?" Sherman asked.

"It is, they wanted me to be there early for some other things." Nodrog said.

"Oh, when do you need to be there by?" Stacy asked.

Nodrog chuckled. "In five minutes."

With that Nodrog teleported to their apartment to get ready for this evening.

"Oh, hey there. I didn't hear you come in." Brian said as he looked up at Nodrog.

"Since I did not use a door, I would think not." Nodrog said with a smirk.

Brian just gave him a puzzled look.

"So is there anything I can help with?" Nodrog asked.

"As a matter of fact, there is." Winston said as he put a mop handle in Nodrog's hand.

The shorter Moor just smiled before heading off to take care of something else. Just because you happen to be an all powerful being, does not exempt you from doing chores. They were expecting a big crowd tonight, with some rather prominent people from the music biz showing up. Plus he hated mopping the floor more than just about anything. Thankfully since they ran a more upscale establishment, cleaning up vomit and piss in the bathrooms was a rare occurrence.

Really it came down to Winston thinking Nodrog should help out a little more. It was better for moral if they all pitched in, since most of them had a pretty big stake in how well they ran the place. And there was the fact Winston hated mopping. What did surprise him was that the dragon was not cheating and just using magic to make the mop do it, by itself.

So while Nodrog mopped, Brain and Winston shined up the bar. Ox and Steven made sure all the glass wear was cleaned and dry before moving onto other general housekeeping. The only staff that got out of the cleaning were the two bouncers. Both of them had enough to worry about, since they cleaned house in other ways. Actually both of the bouncers had to re certify their security training and take a fake ID class. They took both classes every other year, as the club always paid for it, or any other relevant classes either bouncer wanted to take.

Business had been good, after Nodrog joined up with them it had been steadily getting better. Winston was a big fan of the Velopians, because while they did like to drink, they were never rowdy. They were also big tippers as far as he had seen. Always treating the few wait staff politely even when an order was wrong. A few of the other aliens stopped by, they for the most part were also pretty polite and respectful. Humans it seemed so far to be the only ones who consistently treated people poorly.

It was something Winston had thought about asking his now world traveling older brother. Surely humans were not the only race that treated itself so lousy. He was rather concerned about what his mom wanted to tell them tomorrow at dinner. She had insisted that Samantha and Jennifer both be present as well. Winston was worried she might be ill again, despite her saying that she was not.

"Something bothering you Winston?" Nodrog asked as he pushed the mop bucket over towards the bar to get that part of the floor.

"Just something mom said." Winston said and looked at him. The dragon was impossible to read.

"Oh, about needing to talk to the four of you." Nodrog said and squeezed the excess water off the mop before slapping it on the floor.

Winston looked a little cross. "How do you know about that?"

"I can read minds, seems that was something Sherman never told you." Nodrog chuckled and smiled. "Don't worry, you mother is in good health."

"Wait, if you can read minds..." Winston let his sentence trail off.

Nodrog chuckled. "It is less disconcerting if I verbally ask you about something than just randomly tell you things."

"I suppose you have a point there. So what else has my brother forgotten to tell me?" Winston asked.

"That I don't know, but I do know he will tell you when he is ready. After all there are things he has seen that he still struggles to believe." Nodrog said as he mopped.

"If you can do half of what I have heard, why are you actually mopping the floor?" Winston asked.

"Well mainly because magic does not sit well with everyone." Nodrog glanced over at Cid as he spoke. "But mainly because I do not know any cleaning magic."

Winston smiled a little before he laughed. "Alright, that is fair enough I suppose."

It did not take very long to get the place spotless, they did try and keep on top of it all the time. With the club cleaned, they set to getting all the tables and chairs into place. Between Ox and Nodrog they moved a couple of the pool tables, to get a little more space for people to sit and listen to music. Tonight was going to be packed, and the night Tera would be here, had been sold out for weeks.

A little after six PM people started trickling in, however a line formed rather quickly as it got close to seven. Eventually the place was packed and filled with the buzz of conversations and the few staff busy taking drink orders. Nights like this made Winston glad he bit the bullet on buying the club from the gentleman who owned it.

Jenny and Roslyn were sitting with Jennifer and Amber over at one of the VIP tables. Sherman and Samantha would be joining them shortly, since they had a late work emergency. Alice's parents had Harley for the evening, since Jenny had mentioned it would be a late night.

Eventually the place was packed, with Sherman and Samantha just barely making it before the performance started. They had all taken the stage and the lights were just starting to dim when they took their seats.

"I was wondering if you would make it." Amber whispered as Winston did his usual pre-performance greeting.

"We had wondered the same thing, traffic was rather bad for this time of night." Sherman whispered.

Sherman and Roslyn both noticed the sincerity in Nodrog's expression. Usually the dragon was hard to figure out, but as he played the piano so beautifully, they saw genuine joy on his face. It was something the two of them had talked about on a few occasions. They both agreed to persuade, or nudge him into making more performances. Sherman had made sure to remind his brother to bug Nodrog about making practices and performances. He had also talked to Marko about it, and was surprised how agreeable the bear was too it. Cirrus had caught part of one of their talks and had pointed out that it would do Nodrog a great deal of good.

They all were very surprised to see Tabatha with the air elemental dragon, and even more surprised when the dragon got her to stand up and dance with him during one of the songs. Outside of work and in a little more casual atmosphere, the slightly pudgy mouse girl was cute. Seeing her slightly embarrassed only made her more so. Tabatha was rather aglow after her dinner date with Cirrus, apparently the air elemental was quite the chef and dinner host.

Sherman did get a good laugh at his mother's expense as Jenny insisted they should dance. He did not know his mother knew how to actually swing dance. Of course he would pay anything to keep a smile on her face. Sherman did have an idea about what his mother wanted to talk about over dinner tomorrow. Since he did know that his father was a monster or an immortal at the very least.

However as Sherman turned his attention back to Nodrog, he did wonder what the dragon had told his mother. After all there was some things he thought should not be told, or at the very least, he should be the one to say it. There was of course the incident on the moon base, which he had witnessed and did not think anyone should know about. At the time they had all been threatened with the same fate if they told anyone about it.

He shook the grim images from his mind and focused on the upbeat music and the pleasant chatter around him. Along with the very lovely lady by his side, well couple of lovely ladies. Though only one of them was actually his and while Roslyn was a looker, he doubted the dragon would let anyone put the moves on the Valkyrie. Granted he was rather protective of the little mouse and kitten too.

Winston's little fox sure was cute, now that she wasn't working and going to school she had a little free time. Jennifer had even been going to the gym a couple times a week and it was certainly noticeable compared to how Sherman remembered her. Jenny had also insisted that Jennifer dance as well, the two of them really knew how to swing dance. With Jenny actually being strong enough to pick Jennifer up, though not for very long.

It was a good evening in Winston's mind, there was a real good vibe and energy in the place tonight. Though he did almost miss a note or two when he caught Jennifer dancing with Jenny. The two certainly looked like they were having a good time, as did several couples that had gotten up to get down. That always made him feel good about a performance, when people got up out of their chairs and moved to the music.

Winston had glanced back at the others playing with him and also noticed the genuine joy Nodrog had. He did not think Nodrog had stopped smiling since his fingers first touched the piano keys. They all stood at the front of the short stage and bowed as the crowd gave them a standing ovation.

It was a little after eleven when Roslyn and Nodrog made it home. As Nodrog pulled her close after locking the door, the playfulness in his eyes was very clear. "I take it you are in the mood to play a little more." Roslyn looked up into his eyes.

"I have been in that mood all day." Nodrog smiled and kissed her.

Roslyn moaned softly. "You spoil me."

With the lights turned off the two removed their clothes in the bedroom. The light from outside highlighting Roslyn's stunning figure before she laid down on the bed. She had thought he was going to skip foreplay as he got on top of her. Instead he kissed her a few more times before kissing his way down her body. Teasing her nipples as he went lower.

Roslyn sucked in a breath as that little spark touched her clit as his hot breath teased her vulva. While he might have skipped teasing her, she loved the way he made her feel when he went down on her. Tonight it seemed was going to be slow and sensual, with her every desire taken care of.

Chapter

The weekend, ended with Alice taking another checkered flag. At this point Alice pretty much had the season wrapped up. Carly had a slight lead over Wes in the points, but it was not set in stone. With some very difficult races coming up along with the off world race, Alice was actually looking forward to the following year. The Lotus was a good rally car, though it saw little dirt and the Viper was an asphalt devouring menace. Neither of them could suitably do what Alice was thinking she wanted to try her hands at.

With a little help from Nodrog, mainly for travel, Alice made a few calls and set up a meeting with the gentleman at Mopar Performance who had oversaw the two Vipers she got. Alice dressed as she usually did for interviews with TV or magazines, casual, but with her fitted shirt with Joe's shop logo on it.

They did not have to wait very long since the man had cleared most of his afternoon schedule. Alice was at the moment the most famous driver they had. He was a slender man, wearing a shirt and tie under his engineering coat. David was mid forties, and smiled as he walked over to them. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Ms. Mclaren."

Alice smiled and shook his outstretched hand. "Please, just call me Alice, and it is nice to meet the man responsible for building my cars."

"Very well, what can I do for you Alice?" David asked.

"I came by to ask about getting another set of wheels from you." Alice said as they now walked over to look down at the race fabrication shop. Which was spotless from their over head vantage point.

David raised an eyebrow. "Oh, well the Viper is the top of the line race car we make. I would not think any of the other cars would meet your expectations on the track."

"I am not in the market for a race car, I am looking for a race truck." Alice said and leaned on the hand railing in front of the large windows.

"I have been blessed to race with some of the greatest drivers on this world and others... At least as far as paved roads are concerned." Alice said and watched the people work away hand building cars and trucks for other high performance drivers.

David finally caught on to what she was wanting. "So you would like to try your hand at taming the off road world?"

"Yes. I feel that I have a solid career racing on road, so I would like to try off road." Alice turned and looked at David. "There are rumors, and only rumors that next year's off world race will be hosted by the Yovar and it will be a Baja style event. If they are true I intend to compete in that event as well."

"So basically you want the off road equivalent of your on road car. A class eight trophy truck." David said.

"That is it exactly, four wheel drive and all the wheel travel you can give it." Alice said.

"I also suspect you would like a pair, so you have a back up." David said and pulled out a tablet computer to start making notes.

"That would be preferred, yes." Alice said.

"You do know we can take of paint and engine work." David said.

Alice smiled. "I know, and I am sure you can do a very good job, but I am picky about certain things. Plus it would hurt their feelings."

With that David laughed along with Alice. Nodrog figured he missed the joke and like Jenny, found gear head Alice simply adorable as they worked out the finer details of the truck specifications. Things like if the truck needed provisions for a navigator, engine displacement and transmission selection.

Alice seemed pleased with the deal and wrote David a check for both trucks on the spot. She had an actual account for her race habit, which before buying the trucks was substantially larger than her personal account. With a hand shake and a signature, she had just spend over five hundred thousand. The trucks would be like the Vipers, rolling chassis with the motors in crates.

"One more thing, if it's not too much trouble, could we keep this on the down low?" Alice asked.

"Of course." David said with a smile.

"Thanks." Alice said and they walked back to the front of the building. After the two were out of sight, Nodrog teleported them back to the hotel Alice was supposed to be at.

"Jenny is right." Nodrog said as Alice took off her shoes for the day.

"Oh, right about what?" Alice asked.

"You are even cuter when you get excited about car stuff." Nodrog said with a smirk.

Alice just sighed and shook her head. "I was hoping she wouldn't rub off on you that much."

"Her personality quirks are her own. You really are a gem among grains of sand. So really you can only blame yourself." Nodrog said and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"I am really not as special as everyone seems to think. Just a nerd with a heavy right foot." Alice said and squeaked when he gave her ass a little pinch.

"You are special to lots of people, don't say or think otherwise." Nodrog raised his head enough to whisper in her ear. "And I cannot put into words how much you mean to me."

Alice blushed as his heated breath tickled her ear and as his magic did other things to her. The way Nodrog and Jenny treated Alice during these rather intimate moments did tell her how much she meant to them. As Nodrog slowly undressed her, Alice still wondered why they thought that.

With his metal teeth teasing through her fur with the electric tingle from his tongue, Alice shivered with pleasure. She might not know what she did to earn such affection from the little kitten and the iron dragon, but Alice was grateful for it. She was always helpless to their sexual advances, though he had not physically touched her there, Alice was very aroused and damp with anticipation. When his metal scaled fingers lightly teased across her vulva and clit, she moaned softly.

Alice quickly forgot about the world outside as Nodrog gave her a few teasing licks before slipping his tongue deeper inside. Her moans grew more vocal as she got closer to climax, she really did like being eaten out. Maybe that was why the majority of her friends and lovers were all carnivores.

What Alice also really liked and needed was to be held close and embraced. As his hard prick slowly parted her damp vulva, he put his arms around her. The scales on his forearm teasing her nipples, which excited her and got her to moan a little louder. She was safe in his arms, and she was safe in Jenny's arms. That feeling of security let her, let go and really experience things to their fullest.

Speaking of fullest, Alice could feel his knot slowly expanding as he slowly thrust in and out of her. They were on their sides spooning, Alice could see the sun setting outside her top floor room. He could not knot her in this position, but the knot did spread her cheeks as it swelled. She reached back with her right hand and placed it on his neck as she came. Another moan passed her lips as she felt his cum fill her.

While Nodrog was out with Alice, mainly to take her to meetings and other mundane things race car drivers did. Roslyn was out in a hanger getting her hands dirty, one of the cargo planes needed service. She was bored and they could use an extra set of hands.

Marko kept his amusement to himself as they walked over to the plane. Roslyn half inside the turbo prop's cowling, right now all they could see was her lovely ass. He still had lingering feelings for her, even if their age and positions kept them apart. Apparently she had forgotten today she would have a visitor. "Roslyn, if you have a moment."

"Just a second, just about got this done." Roslyn said as she finished tightening down the bolts to a hydraulic pump. She wiggled out of the confined space, to a few people's enjoyment and turned to look down at Marko.

The bear of a man smiled up at her, but Roslyn's eyes quickly moved to the young woman standing next to him. A dark haired woman, who looked a bit shy at least from this distance. Roslyn felt an instant connection with her fellow Valkyrie, the white wings being a very good visual clue. "I thought it was next week, I am sorry for not paying attention to the time."

Marko spoke as Roslyn hopped down from the scaffold she had been working on. "It has been a slow week, I know you like to stay busy."

"Thanks for the help Roslyn." One of the technicians said.

"Any time." Roslyn waved and motioned them to follow her to a sink. "Let me wash my hands real quick."

Sandy watched the older woman, Roslyn was not what she was expecting. However once she looked her in the eyes, she knew they were somehow connected. Roslyn's confidence and the look in her eyes told Sandy, this was someone she knew from a time long ago.

"Allow me to introduce you to Saundra Williams." Marko said.

Roslyn held out her hand. "Roslyn White, it's a pleasure to meet you in person."

"Agreed, it is so relieving to know I am not alone." Sandy said.

"Trust me, that feeling is mutual. Though I have met a few other women who also have gone through the same thing." Roslyn said.

"If you will excuse me ladies, I need to be going." Marko said and bowed his head before heading off with his entourage in tow.

Roslyn kept her eyes on the young October as they walked off. She smiled slightly as he kept his eyes elsewhere. He never made eye contact with her at all now, and he kept his leering eyes off of Sandy. "Have you had lunch yet? I didn't relies it was after noon already."

"No, not yet. We were busy this morning looking over your robotics program." Sandy said.

"We do have a pretty good lounge on site, little quieter than the cafeteria." Roslyn and flagged down on of the security carts. She didn't feel like walking that far, and wasn't sure how Sandy arrived at the hanger.

"So how many of us are there?" Sandy asked as the cart zipped along.

Roslyn had to pause and think about it. "There are seven of us I want to say, scattered across the universe at the moment."

"From what I have heard of space travel I would have thought there would be more." Sandy said and followed Roslyn to an elevator.

"While I have talked to a few people about it, no one has a solid answer as to why we are suddenly being reborn. All I know is I am the first." Roslyn said.

"Did it hurt?" Sandy asked.

Roslyn nodded. "Probably the most painful thing I have ever had to go through. I know the other two also had painful transformations."

"Well here we are." Roslyn said and opened the door for them. "If you want to tell me what happened for you to take your second breath, I will gladly listen. However if you don't I understand."

They talked for a little while over lunch, well Roslyn did most of the talking. Since she remembers a great deal from her time so long ago. Sarnia and Tera had told Roslyn what had happened when they took their second breath, so Roslyn told Saundra about them as well as herself. After all it was Roslyn who possibly set them free.

Roslyn gave as much history as she could remember, or found interesting herself. They had waited until they were in Roslyn's apartment before talking about what caused them to change. After all it was a little more personal, and Roslyn did not want to tell the world she had tried to shoot a lesser god in the face with a canon.

Not that most of the world would believe her even if she did say something. Roslyn was starting to figure a few things out, but until she talked to all of the reawakened Valkyrie, she was not sure. Saundra told her that she had always felt out of place, that something was not quite right. So far it was another shared connection they had besides what triggered the change.

Roslyn also noted that aside from all of them feeling a little off, or looking for answers to questions they did not know; they did not have all that much in common. Saundra was probably the highest educated of them all. With a master's degree in computer programming, minors in artificial intelligence and engineering. Sarnia or herself were probably the least educated.

"I guess the big question is what do I do now?" Sandy asked. They had talked the afternoon away and she should meet her coworkers for dinner before they all called it a night.

"You don't really have to do anything. After all you have a solid career and plenty of family and friends." Roslyn said.

"It seems silly to have all of these new found abilities and not do something." Sandy said.

Roslyn gave it a little thought. "I don't have an answer for that."

"Oh well, perhaps we will have to see about all of us getting together at least once. I have to admit after Alice won the off world race, I am dying to travel to another world myself." Sandy said with a wide eyed smile.

"The two of you have plenty of time to figure it out." Nodrog said after teleporting into the kitchen.

"I didn't expect you until later." Roslyn said as Nodrog came out with a drink in his hand. From the looks of it, he was into her good whiskey again. They both had rather expensive taste when it came to spirits.

"Something got cancelled. This must be Saundra, a pleasure to meet you. Please excuse my interruption." Nodrog said with a smile.

"It's no big deal, don't worry about it." Sandy said and blushed slightly. Though his form was different, she instantly knew who he was. Just like Roslyn, there were just certain things about them that said without words who they were.

"Also, the Amazons have told us that you are welcome anytime you wish to travel to their world." Nodrog said before taking a sip of the whiskey.

"Who would 'us' be?" Roslyn asked.

Nodrog smile and bowed slightly. "Why they told 'us' dragons since we navigate the universe for you. They also have informed the Elves to keep their eyes open for women who have taken their second breath."

"Mainly so that they do not have to endure the harsh treatment Tera did after her transformation." Nodrog said and sat down at the table to read the paper.

"I am glad most of the people I know took the sudden change so well. Though I was very frightened to tell anyone at first." Sandy said and looked at Nodrog. "So how much does it cost to travel to another world?"

Nodrog smiled. "For you, not a penny. I have talked to Mr. October about making some exceptions to passenger travel for this very reason. The Amazons will allow the Valkyrie to stay in the palace for a solid week at no expense."

"I will have to look into making the trip." Sandy said and was now quite excited about her change.

"I would certainly encourage it." Roslyn said as she looked at her watch. "However we should probably get you back over to the other building to meet with your coworkers."

"Oh, yeah I don't want to be gone for too long." Sandy said as she stood up.

Roslyn gave her a ride over to the main building. They would have a little more time to talk later in the week. Roslyn was a bit surprised to see Nodrog still sitting at the table reading the paper.

"So is he really going to let people travel for free or are you paying for it?" Roslyn asked as she walked past to look in the fridge for dinner.

"Only reborn Valkyrie get to travel for free. People only think it is expensive because it is new. Truth is the ships usually have empty rooms when they leave and no matter how the ship travels, a single person does not affect the calculations." Nodrog said as he glance over at Roslyn.

"I still am not seeing any hard similarities between us. Aside from stress or fear triggering the change, and always feeling a little off. We really have little in common and have a wide range of back grounds." Roslyn pulled out some left over taco mix for dinner as she spoke.

"I doubt you will find any. There were millions and millions of Valkyrie at the height of your civilization." Nodrog said and leaned back in the chair. Its metal frame groaning under his weight.

"I suppose you are right. Maybe I was just hoping to find something that would make finding them easier." Roslyn said while pulling a beer and tortillas out of the fridge as the taco mix heated up.

"Somehow I doubt it is something that can be rushed or forced. It just happens when it is ready." Nodrog put the sports section of the paper at the place Roslyn usually sat at.

Roslyn sighed and fixed herself a couple of tacos before sitting at the table. "That would be Rose's impatiens more than what I want. I am content to let it go as it may."

The topic changed back to Alice and Tera since the off world race was coming up and so was Tera's visit to earth. After dinner they watched some news and sports highlights before heading to the bedroom for a little fling between the sheets.
