Mood / Tone: foreboding, passionate, honest

Summary:

Rowen wakes up in his girlfriend's bed and becomes closer to Kira's mother, Gnar. Rowen and Kira furthere their affection. Gnar comes to terms with her own feelings about Kira and the boy.

Rowen woke up. Sunlight danced, reflecting off silvery things, pirouetted off of the walls, projecting itself onto everything in its own silent recital. He stole a glance at Kira as she slept. She is so cute when she sleeps. He thought about Kiel and the others, who were all he knew; for thirteen years. Now he had just banished. Gone.

The door opened. Kira's mom walked over to the bed to check on them. Noticing the boy holding her sleeping daughter was awake, she laid a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you alright?"

Rowen nodded sadly. "Ma'am?"

"Yes?"

"What shall I call you? I don't feel comfortable calling you 'Mom'; I'm sorry."

With a smile she stroked his shoulder, "Madame Gnar. Or, if you'd like, just simply call me Gnar."

"Madame Gnar it is then." Rowen's face brightened a little upon stroking Kira's head.

Gnar shot him a stern look, "So you got kicked out of your house for a kiss?"

Rowen's cheeks turned rosy. "It was an amazing kiss," Rowen looked at the resting girl, "My foster mother was a part of a dying religion."

"She was a Krene?"

"Yes."

"I didn't know people still followed that. It is archaic."

"She called me a devil worshiper because Bre, my foster sister, caught us kissing; and on occasion saw me practicing my flame." Rowen clenched his teeth, tearing up.

Gnar rubbed his back, "Shhh, be calm, darling." Her voice soothed Rowen.

A tear fell from his face, striking his chest and rolling down onto the bed, leaving a trail of wet fur in its wake. "I've lived there from ever since I can remember." he buried his face in Gnar's chest, uncontrollably sobbing now.

Gnar licked the top of his head, hugging him tightly. "You can live with us. We can squeeze you in."

Kira rested her head upon Rowen's shoulder. She wiped away his tears with a thumb, "I'm here, don't worry."

Rowen looked back and greeted her somberly. "Thank you," He kissed her cheek and sat on his feet, rubbing his eyes.

Gnar watched with mixed emotions. She was heartbroken to hear Rowen's story, and its harsh impact; she was sad to see someone was taking Kira from her; but overjoyed that the boy was nothing but sweet. She also felt hungry.

Standing up with a big heave, Kira's mom asked if they were hungry. Neither cub felt hungry, so she went to go eat by herself.

Rowen forgot to thank Madame Gnar for her support, but he decided to thank her when they got up.

The cubs laid there and cuddled.

Rowen relaxed, rubbing Kira's side and hip while she played with his face. Kira spoke up, "Don't think about that right now; just think about me and you. That's all you need think about, hon."

"Yeah, I guess you're right, thank you honey; for getting me through this." He became lost in his thoughts.

Suddenly, Kira shivered and made an "eep!" sound.

"What is it?" Rowen jumped, startled.

Kira sighed, calming down, moving Rowen's hand from her buttock, back to her side.

"Oh! Um, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! I swear! I wasn't paying attention!" Rowen flushed, drowning in embarrassment. He genuinely hadn't noticed.

She gave him a teasing smile before bursting out laughing. "Don't worry, it is quite alright, I just wasn't expecting it." She winked at him.

Rowen grumbled, staring off to the side.

Kira pushed in real close and kissed him.

Rowen gladly took her lips, with an exhausted moan.

Rowen rolled on top of Kira, grabbing the back of her head with both paws, slipping his tongue into her mouth.

They danced for a few minutes, an orchestration of heavy breaths and moans.

Rowen left her lips and began to lick her neck. With loud, pleasured moans, Kira closed her eyes and just felt. Resting both arms on Rowen's head as he lovingly nibbled on her neck.

He moved a paw down and massaged her buttock; this time intentionally. Kira managed to lick his ears, panting like a dog, moaning. She spotted her mom peak in, Kira didn't even care. She blinked sensually from the door back to Rowen. Kira stole a glance at the now-shut door and smiled.

"Babe," Rowen licked, "I love you." he stared up at her.

Kira wore an expression of pure pleasure and joy, unable to speak; she gave him a crooked smile.

Kira undid her bra, neck still damp. Flustered and a bit cross-eyed.

Rowen leapt off of her to the other side of the bed, alarmed, "What are you doing?"

"We have to get dressed, don't we?" With that, she stood and dropped her panties.

He tried not to stare with all his might, but he could not help it.

The sunlight reflected off of her perfect figure. Teasing hum, she kneeled on the bed, leaned in and tapped noses with him.

Burning, Rowen couldn't look at her eyes, not at that moment anyway.

With a laugh and a jiggle, she leapt off the bed and dressed. She stood in the corner, putting only a tank top over her chest, smiling mischievously. "Your turn." She toyed with him.

"What! No way! I don't feel comfortable doing that." Rowen refused.

"What about now?" Kira covered her eyes, her tail flicking happily.

Rowen sighed, "Fine." He slipped out of his loose pajama bottoms and into some underwear and jeans.

Kira hung on his neck from behind, "Nice tail."

He sighed again and held her paw. She released him. Rowen found a light green t-shirt and extended a paw out to Kira, who took it gladly.

"You ready, babe?" Rowen pecked Kira, bowing his head.

"Yes," She flashed a fang at him cutely, hanging on his arm.

He opened the door, and together they walked to the kitchen without a doubt in the world.

"Hi Madame Gnar," Rowen gleamed, happily.

"Well, someone looks happy." She tapped his shoulder with a smile.

Kira silently, nervously thanked her mom for allowing what she had seen.

"Thank you, Madame, for all of your support, and all that you are doing for me."

Rowen bowed his head, kissing the woman on her cheek before proceeding to sit at the empty dining table.

Gnar whispered to Kira, "Here, split this with Rowen." She lay ten silver coins in her daughter's paw. Kira hid it in her coin purse. "Rowen."

"Yes ma'am?" He shuffled back over to her, "What is it?"

"Eighteen pieces, right?"

His eyes gleamed, "Yes, you needn't do it though, it was a gift, you shouldn't have to pay for it," he was being modest.

"Fine, pay off the necklace, and owe me eighteen pieces."

"Alright, fine." Rowen gave in.

"Now go out and have fun!"
