And so

The final chapter of my series

Sad to see its ending

But I had fun writing it

And it sure got my creative juices flowing

I would like to formally apologise if some stuff here is kind of corny.

Well, here we go

My Knight in Shinning Armour

Final Chapter : Eclipse

Everyone was there...

Just like the night before, everyone that was there for them, was there now in front of Alex's house, except Stephany and her boyfriend, they were busy. They had smiled on their faces, but it was sad smiles. Smiles. Alex felt like crying under those smiles. One's that weren't happy.

David just looked at Alex with a sorry look. He silently wished that such a burden hadn't been put on Alex. He could handle it but Alex wasn't like that. David was used to seeing violence. It was something he didn't have a choice with during his earlier teenage years when he first discovered that fact that he was half demonic. He never wanted it, never needed it.

But Alex was different. He hadn't grown up like that; he hadn't grown up with a dark secret to hide. He hadn't grown up learning about the supernatural, and all the mindless fighting that all seemed to come with it for some bizarre reason that David didn't even understand. Alex was a peaceful soul. He was an angel after all. Angel's can fight, but it's not in their nature to do so. It's what makes them angels.

David looked down; he didn't like saying good-bye. Especially like this

Alex was fighting tears back like no other time in his life.

"Well..." The mouse began, failing to find the appropriate words "We could all make this really awkward than it already is and burst into tears, hugs, and cliché words about how we're going to miss each other. Or we could do it in a more appropriate way and just say a friendly goodbye like we're going on a vacation. We won't be long, just a day or two max. It doesn't take that long to attack something head on...and we are coming back after all. Its not like this is a final good bye and you're all never going to see both of us again, before you know it, we'll be back and we can all go back to normal...um...ok?" Alex offered rather uncomfortably.

He himself wasn't even sure what he said worked to comfort himself, let alone the others.

One by one, the rest nodded.

They must have looked silly. A group of furs standing around two other furs and looking like all hell would break loose any second.

David coughed awkwardly "Um...Alex has pretty much said the most suitable thing I anything I think of would just make it worse...so..." he paused and looked at everyone, mostly his part of family.

Will, Anthony and Ivan smiled that dreadful sad smile at David. Serene and Andre smiled a similar, but more sad, smile at Alex.

Finally Sam emotions broke down and he started crying. Jeff hastily hugged his twin mate and tried his best of comfort him "Hey, Hey. C'mon love. It's alright..."

"No, Its not! Alex is going to be a big hero and go fight some stupid idiot people who don't like him and David is going with them and we might loose them forever and Alex is the bestest friend I've ever had and he's always been there for both of us and I'm gonna be really sad if he dies and I don't want him to die because I don't like being sad and-"

"Sam, they aren't going to die."

"But-"

"No buts, they aren't dying, even of discussion, close the book and burn it. They're coming back, right?" The bigger of the two dalmations looked pleadingly at Alex. He was himself on the verge of tears.

"Yea Sam. We're not going to die"

"H-h-how do you know?" Sam whimpered out weakly while he hid his face in Jeff's chest and wetting his shirt.

"Because you said it yourself. I'm always there for you, and I'm not letting this get in the way. We're BFFs." Alex smiled a genuine smile of hope and padded over, giving Both Sam and Jeff and hug. Sam sniffed, but both him and Jeff hugged back.

Daren looked at David and shifted awkwardly "Um...I'm gonna try and be tough and say that both me and Nicki really appreciate being your friend and all" the bull cast his eyes downwards to the kangaroo busy clutching his hand "And we should kind of thank you because you're the one's who noticed that I had a crush on him and pushed me to into it..."

Nicholas avoided eye contact "Yea, We haven't really know you guys for that long, but we got to know how great you guys can be. Supportive and stuff, not to mention lightly pushy about you know what..." The roo stopped talking, very quickly running out of things to say.

Alex let go of both Sam and Jeff and took a deep breath, then padded back to David and took his paw. He looked one last look at the crowd of furs that he had come to love and sighed, "Well...see you guys around...try not to panic. If we're gone longer than a month...you know what happened..."

Serene started wailing loudly and letting her tear ducts once again burst into salty liquid, with Andre once again comforting her.

David silently wished there was another way, knowing that there wasn't, and closed his eyes. His body slowly turned pitch black and then melted into his shadow. Alex on the other hand, just turned completely invisible.

...

And then, they were gone

Alex sighed lightly heartbroken. He was trying not to dwell on the subject, but he really couldn't help it. It was his family, and they cared. And he cared too, which was the very reason he had to leave. Irony

It didn't really take both of them long, about 3 hours of stealth travel. They couldn't warp. They had visited the area before . It was situated in a desert area. Very secluded.

Clearly these people didn't want to be found.

What's more, the place was underground. Freaking UNDERGROUND

They couldn't warp because a barrier that stopped dimensional shifts surrounded the underground complex. These people weren't joking around.

They had stopped at an oasis, not far from the base.

David reformed from his shadow and looked at Alex, as he became visible as well.

"So how are we supposed to get in again?" David asked

Alex looked north of their current position "There's probably to be some kind of trigger or something...it's probably no one ever notices like a rock or something." He paused "But we don't have time for that do we?"

"Nope"

"Instead, I suggest we just-" he stopped talking, he flicked his ears slowly "...Copters."

He was right too, David could hear the piercingly loud sound of propellers turning at rapid speed. Slowly, a Black transport copter came into view, and slowly descended down to ground, causing sand to blow.

Both Alex and David were in a far enough range not to be noticed at all, but the sand still gushed against them.

The engine stopped, and the propellers slowly to a silent halt. The doors opened, and men in the traditional uniform of the men before seen of the little anti-supernatural club hopped out in military style. One of them fiddled with something in his wrist, and shortly after a tube shaped elevator rose from the sand. The men stepped inside one by one and when all were in, it sunk down like quicksand.

The copter remained there for a short while, before the ground below it shook greatly. What seemed like a giant door opened up from beneath it with a platform ready under it. The platform started to lower slowly.

"-Take the back entrance" Alex commented with a smile, turning invisible while David followed suit melted in his shadow. The entrance was closing slowly, so it hadn't taken long to dive over and down below into the secret hideout.

"And...we're in" David muttered in an overly dramatic spy voice, making Alex snicker as they stood concealed on the descending platform.

"Any sign yet?"

"No sir, no traces have been met. As far as we know, they have not arrived."

"Yes...keep on guard. We never know when they will strike. The minute we lower our wall of protection, they will come down hard on us. We must remain vigalent at all times.

"Yes sir"

"You'd think with all their high tech stuff they'd have noticed us by now..." Alex whispered.

It was about approximately 10-15 minutes since Alex and David had infiltrated the base. It was fairly large, but from what they were seeing it wasn't heavy guarded. That was either a good sign or a bad sign. A good sign meant that they didn't think they would need more defence than a few lookouts here and there. The bad sign was that there was a whole lot more maximum-security defensive systems that may include the guards and other technological stuff the deeper they got.

Alex was hoping it would be good, but the more they moved inside the very mechanized underground structure, the more he noticed there were just more and more guards and sentries appearing in once place at the same time.

"Count us lucky then" Alex whispered back.

Alex felt like some spy in a videogame trying to sneak in to some place, steal whatever, and get out again without getting seen. The problem was, in a game, when you lost, it didn't really matter. You could try again.

Here...there were no stocked up digital lives they could fall back on.

For a total account, they had snuck from the air hanger, through the ventilation system. Though, this was one of the reasons Alex felt like he was in a game. Crawling through an air vent? Please, that was so cliché.

From there, they approached what looked like the main weaponry manufacturing centre. From there, moved through a lot of corridors with lots of gigantic machines doing who knows what. Once again, another reason for Alex's feeling of de javu. Where they TRYING to re-create a giant replica of some lame bad guy base or something. But Alex supposed if they were there grinding and clogging away, they had to be doing something.

There were no switching cameras though, which would have tied the whole place together.

"I feel so stupid" Alex muttered while he leaned against a wall. They were in an empty storage room at the moment, remaining in the shadows for good measure and keeping their voice down. For some reason, what might have sounded like a hushed whisper sounded perfectly clear to each other.

"Believe me hon, this is the stupidest I've ever felt sneaking around like this. This isn't the way a demon works, that's for sure." David sighed, "Still"

"Yea, Yea I know. We have to do it. Lets just get it over with ok? I feel like I'm in a very bad Metal Gear Solid. " Even as he spoke, Alex was still scared that they WOULD be found, something WOULD happen and he WOULD lose David to a bunch of freaks.

No way was he letting that happen without one hell of a fight.

...

The structure seemed to go on forever. Each hallway leaded to the next and both Alex and David didn't have any map reference to the place. They also didn't know how exactly they were going to shut the place down. But they had formulated some form of a plan due to observation.

It was basic, but it was the only thing they could come up with at the moment. Neither of them were military soldiers or anything. They lacked knowledge of things they should know, namely 'how to destroy people that are after you in their own turf'.

David's suggestion of going on a rampart, evil demon style, was a bit too unsuited for the situation at hand since they didn't know all about their opponent. So for the moment, they were looking for something that could take the enemy down.

The plan was, Alex reckoned. If there was SUCH a big place, with lots of metal and weapons and machines while going through the trouble of staying underground etc. There HAD to be a power source. That was point A. Get rid of the power source. It would be lucky if said power source was something that could go critical and blow up after being trashed.

Point B, which was only really needed if point A didn't work, was finding something else that would total the place. If point A wasn't enough to shut them off, there had to be some weak spot they could dent up. The area was completely machine run. Everything was connected to something else in one way or another. If one fell, they should all fall with it.

That's what the mouse angel and bat demon were looking for. Any tiny spot that was left vulnerable.

And so far, it wasn't going good.

The place was a maze of new territory. Though, they did use their abilities to check around a bit. David's ears acted as a good radar and as they went along, Alex slowly painted the map they needed in his mind.

And minute by minute. Second by second. It was all going to come together.

...

They were going deeper. Both wondered just how deep below the ground the HQ went. It wasn't getting any warmer which meant something, no doubt robotic, was keeping the place cool. They had slowly scaled every inch of the place that allowed as they went lower. Each floor was more guarded than the next, which gave Alex a bad feeling.

"You think we'll find the head dude around here?" Alex muttered, though it had to stay in mind communication from then onward.

"If we don't, I'm gonna be real pissed cause that means the person is not here. Which means that he or she or it will keep going till we're dead" David replied

They sneaked on in silence, till Alex noticed something... "Hey...what's that sound?"

David couldn't help a smirk "You mean that whirling steaming sound we've been hearing all the time since we've been in here?"

"No, I mean...there's something else making a loud noise around here..." Alex flicked his ears. "C'mon"

And they sneaked on, heading toward the sound that David could now pick up himself. Which he was a bit annoyed to since HE was supposed to be the one with the good ears. Pretty soon after they peered over a corner, there was a large metal door. From that range, it would have been impossible to see for any normal fur, but David's pink eyes had easily found the words 'GENERATOR' in small capital print

Bingo.

"Well, we found the powersource...shall we go trash it now?" David asked

"...This is too easy...they can't NOT have guards by a generator. Its just plain stupid..." Alex squinted his eyes a little "Trap alert David..."

"Well, yea but...what kind of trap? You know I'm not good at strategy. You're the brains and half brawn, I'm the brawn and half brains."

"Go back to shadow" Alex commanded. They had been walking, or rather hovering to not make a noise, without veils for a little while. David obeyed and melted into a shadow caused by the walls. Alex turned invisible.

He stomped his foot once. Two or three seconds later, about 9 sentries had sprung out of nowhere.

'Just as I though'

'Ok, good for you to think logically. Now what? Can we take them out? We can't just sneak around them. The door will open for no reason, that is suspicious'

'Well...I'm not sure. There are only 9...but there are nine because I made a small stomp. Imagine what will happen if we actually become visible...'

"Still, if we take them out without making a noise, we should be able to get through"

"And just how do you propose we do that mister Devil?"

"Like this"

David's red eyes glinted in the darkness, too small to be noticed at all. Each man that stood by the guarded entrance was naturally casting a shadow against the artificial lights. One by one, the shadows changed into a different swaying mass. And then, without one single sound from the shadows, they enveloped the sentries whole simultaneously. The shadows' hadn't given the poor victims enough time to scream, cry out, curse or make any sound.

Just like that, they were gone.

Alex looked up at David "That was evil"

"Duh"

Alex waited a few seconds to make sure the assault had not alerted attention...

...

*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP*

*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP*

-Threat alert! Threat alert! -

Alex groaned "So much for sneaky" he muttered under his breath as both he and David slinked into the generator room.

"Sir, we have found them!" The fox hurried into the main chamber.

"Are you certain?" A gruff voice replied

"Yes sir. 9 units' energy signatures have simultaneously disappeared near the generator...You're orders?"

An artificial voice strung out:

"Main Generator, offline. Main Generator, offline. Switching to reserve energy. Lasting time: 2 hours"

"Search and Destroy, make sure they do not leave this complex alive"

"As you wish my lord" The fox said, and turned swiftly.

The man left in the dark, fuelled by a dark hatred for the supernatural, rose from his chair slowly, stepped to a panel shrouded in the darkness, and silently typed on it....

David sighed while both he and Alex morphed into their different form. They had been found. Moments ago they had shut down the main generator manually since it seemed unable to be destroyed without something near a nuclear blast.

He and Alex were capable of doing so, but such power they only used in dire emergencies. They had heard the announcement. It wasn't a good thing since they had not caused much damage to the place, and 2 hours was too long a time from a place to last out. They had no other choice.

They had to find a centre point, and blow the place up. Either that or fight against so many people to get out it ends up totalling all life inside. Both choices were going to be much harder.

At the point they had finished morphing, guards started piling into the generator chamber, armed with a lot more than just their usual arsenal. The basics were the long-range black guns they had always carried, but then it started to vary. Some of them had flamethrowers, some of them had grenades, some had machine guns and some of them had pulse cannons. One or two of them even had bazookas.

Now this was actually pretty stupid logically. If they threw the explosive things inside the building, they might damage something that was going go cause problems for them like the system that cooled the area down. David knew they were far below the ground than any fur could stand without burning up or dehydrating from over sweating. But clearly these men were too blinded by killing a target to think like normal people.

"Shit" Alex muttered under his breath. He didn't WANT to kill the people, and he didn't need to. As the men were only starting to take aim, Alex's arm was stretched out. The mouse angel himself was more of a special tactics operator than David. David was a physical force to be reckoned with, Alex was more of a psychic user. He tended to use his abilities more than his strength, since he found a knack for it.

He sent out a mind-breaking wave of psychokinetic energy just as the first shot was fired against him. Every man in that room collapsed into coma under the pure strain it was putting on their brain.

David looked at Alex "We need to go, like now"

"Yea, I know...just"

"Yes, I know. No killing, just disable unless necessary"

David respected that Alex didn't want any of the men killed. He smiled while he remembered that was one of the reasons he loved Alex. He had the ability to forgive and ignore someone's wrong doings. He knew Alex believed the men themselves were not at fault, but perhaps just brainwashed into thinking the way they were.

They glided out of the chamber, and hearing stomping footsteps coming from one direction, headed the other. They flew through the stale air of the metal trap around them, helped by their wings.

They were heading a way they had not explored yet, so they did not know what to expect. Mild panic was flashing through their minds, desperately trying to find a solution to their situation. They had to take the place down, and fast.

"Over there!" A voice called,

A string of plasma lasers struck out from behind them, biting at their feet. None had hit. Taking his turn, David turned round and held out a paw. Sending out his own wave of psyenergy, he chose to rather to hypnotise the attackers and put them to sleep than knock them out. This because he could not do that, his mental abilities were naturally a lot weaker than Alex's.

Once the task had gone through, he turn round and sped after Alex who had gone ahead. He caught up just as Alex was about to turn a corner, but stopped, sent out another knock out wave, and headed the opposite direction.

"Shit...we need to find a week spot, and fast!" David half shouted.

The chasing footsteps behind them started to lessen and drift, getting softer and softer as they moved on for the next minute or so. They found themselves coming to a very dimly lit area the more they moved, and then halted to a stop as the only way to go forward, was to enter through a door.

Alex looked at David and they exchanged glances.

"Should we take the chance?" Alex asked

"Meh, what the heck. Either me move forward, or we move back. Either one is dangerous, we might as well pick the one we don't know about"

Alex smiled softly "I love your calmness" he hovered close to the doors, said doors opening automatically. They entered a completely dark and large area.

Slowly both advanced into the pitch black, aided by their powers to see around. David could make out a circular shaped around him, and then jutting out against the walls the higher it went. Something about the design he was getting was very familiar. It seemed like the same shape a-

"Welcome..." a voice from out of the darkness spot.

Alex and David tensed up, turned to where the sound had come from instantly.

"Welcome-" and just like that, there was light. A very blinding light that made Alex and David squint "To the Arena of blood!"

They could see clearly now, but both wished they couldn't. What was standing a good few meters away from them, was about the most apposing looking machine they had seen in the whole complex. It wasn't just a gear or a cog or something like that pumping or churning. No

It was a giant mechanised fighting system.

"A robot..." Alex muttered

Arena was right. The whole area was shape like one. The circular bottom area was where they and their large 'guest' were situated. By the north, east, south and west points of this circular shape, was a metal gate. Levelling up were rows of chairs, metal cage separating the ring from the chairs.

"They're using a robot...in a ring..." David muttered

"This" a loud booming voice echoed "Shall be your resting place, vile abominations. In the place where our greatest fighters start their legacy, you shall die"

There was cheering, and only then did Alex and David notice the chairs were starting to be taken up by people, all cheering and shouting, blood thirsty for a fight of some sort.

Alex studied the large hunking mass of technology. It was everything you could ever want in a giant robot, but...well, more. He couldn't see if anyone was controlling it on the inside at first glance, but if he used telekinesis, he could tell there was a brainwave inside, meaning there was indeed someone inside controlling it.

"...Hey, hon, you thinking" David started

"Yes, I am"

Alex and David smiled at each other and then flew into the air. David spoke out "I'm guessing you want us to fight you?" asking the robot

"I supposed you can try to fight me, but I can't guaranty your life if you do" the voice sounded "I am going to exterminate you if it's the last thing I do"

"And it probably will be, without exterminating us" Alex laughed softly as he spoke

"Do not underestimate my power" The voice sounded, booming loud "With all your unnatural junk going on is nothing compared to this"

The robot itself was made of a metal either painted blue, or blue originally. Its middle was made of many plates of protection and hints of openings for weapons. The arms were less bulky but still looked heavily able to withstand large amounts of damage, the same hints of openings along them. The legs were along the same design as the arms, just more leg shaped. Behind it, Alex noticed a slab of metal attacked to the back, probably holding something inside it.

"Look, we don't know who you are, what the hell your problem is or why you're going THIS far in destroying us, but whatever it is its bullshit"

"Bullshit!?" The voice echoed "You call my pain and misery Bullshit!?" one of the arms pointed accusingly at the two floating supernaturals, said arm didn't have fingers, but large barrels ready to fire who knows what "I am Cyrus Stone, leader of this organisation. This is Cataclysim, our greatest weapon and YOU, your kind are deceiving and cruel with no consideration for others' pain and suffering. You all deserve to die!" this was followed by another cheer from their spectators.

"Geez, someone has issues..." Alex said

"No kidding" David said

"Enough of this, time to die" as the voice boomed, the arm pointing at Alex and David started charging light in it's barrels

"Lasers" Alex said, swiftly flying out the way after a massage load of it was launched at him at David. The energy, upon impact with the fencing, clashed against a force field, looking electrically based.

"Hold still!" Cyrus shouted into his internal speakers, many arsenals of rockets, lasers and other sorts of offensive power sprouted of from their hiding places on the robot. The rockets fired first, then the lasers followed. It was nothing hectic at all; both targets found it relatively simple to move out the way. Cataclysm's movement and firing speed was predictably slow.

David scouted quickly around the robot, searching for a nice weak spot while Alex took the time to be a diversion and cast a force field round him, nothing so far able to penetrate it at all.

When David could not find one, he signalled to Alex. The angel mouse nodded and moved in for the attack. David found that the place it was the least armoured was it's joints, and over the back. So that was were they both aimed. Alex's normal preference of assault was the use of concentrated beams of pure light energy. David however could cause more damage by getting closer and striking with his limbs. The thing with it was each strike caused a black shockwave of negative energy to string out. The closer David was, the more damage they could do.

The spectators, cheered for their leader like mindless meat puppets they were, and shouted offending at David and Alex. It was clear they had no dout in mind that their leader was going to win.

Cyrus was keeping calm all the time, but he couldn't shake the feeling the damage control was giving him. True Cataclysm had promising fortitude, but slowly he noticed with each strike the metal protecting the inner workings were getting weaker. If the metal broke, the interior would not last long. He was confident, but he did not let that cloud his judgement, he needed a tactic. Then the deranged old leader saw it, an opened, and with a bright smile he shot a clear load of plasma straight at Alex.

Alex hadn't reacted fast enough. The energy slammed into his body, pushing him back through the air painfully with a shout. It was made worse when he collided with the force field. The energy produced by the fencing doubled as an electrical fence.

Alex screeched out loudly in agony as the electricity surged through him. It was only a few seconds, but the pain felt everlasting to the mouse. After the seconds pasted, he fell down limp to the ground, his body blackened and his wings burnt. He was an angel, and if Alex had stayed conscious he knew he would live if he did not get hit again. He was a fast healer after all, but he needed it to kick in.

...

And through all of that, David could only watch helplessly. His world suddenly turned bright red, then complete black. He knew Alex could heal himself, sure. But what he saw, he wasn't sure IF he going to be ok anytime soon. And the scream...that scream echoed in his ears, tormenting them. Alex had suffered in pain, and he was now lying on the ground, unconscious.

David felt something come over him. He was a semi-demon after all, some of his powers were influenced by emotional status, particularly rage or sadness. The one acting up now was both, and that was dangerous for a demon. David could feel his emotions start to take over, his rage blinding him and his deep agonising worry for a wounded mate pushing him on.

David wanted nothing more than revenge now. The other things he could deal with, but when Alex was put into the picture, his forgiveness ran dry. Inside, something snapped. All reasoning and logic was torn up into unrecognisable pieces and replaced with the urge to kill.

The bat started changing rapidly. Behind him, many more sets of wings sprouted out on his back, the existing ones growing and the tips sharpening greatly. His eyes even though red, now glowed blood red in a burning hatred to what they saw. His body slowly grew in size, not by a large amount but the change was very noticeable. His paws grew sharp long extended red claws that looked like they could slide through anything no matter how tough. His muscles grew substantially as well. He was becoming full demon

Cyrus watched the transformation, inquisitively questioning it "What do you-"

"You..." David's voice was much deeper now, many fangs had grown their way out in his maw and they showed when he opened his mouth to speak "You shall pay for what you have done!" David's voice struck out dark and evil, causing a pang of fear to strike out in the audience. They were all not liking the looks of how things were going

In David's now fogged and clouded mind, he only had two objectives. The first was the destruction of the place and all people who were responsible or related to Alex's injury, wanting to abolish it all till nothing was left. The second was tending to Alex and keeping him safe till he recovered after the first task was done.

The furious demon rose a paw "Rot for your sins in hell" a dark sphere grew in that paw. Cyrus tried to react and shoot a barrage of lasers at him, but it was no use. They all bounced away by some invisible force around David. In his last moments of uncertainty and life, Cyrus was struck with pure fear.

The sphere shot forward with the last command of "You shall not be forgiven..." at first nothing happened when the ball made contact with the giant machine, an awkward silence filled the air and for a second Cyrus got his confidence back. Then, out from the ground, dark flames burst from the ground, engulfing the mech completely in it.

Gasps came one after the other at the sigh, and hearing the piercing scream of their now dead leader made them all shiver in terror. They all started scrambling to their feet and running, fearing for their lives

"No you don't..." The demon muttered, and gathered a large amount energy into his body, and sent out a massive explosive shockwave of energy that travelled through the complete complex, as well as further. It was a special technique only demons could manage, the marked death. Take a specific reason, as a marker, and any person the shockwave crosses would very shortly have their soul sucked clean out of them. For David, the marker was anyone in the organisation.

He then made his final act as a full demon as he felt the death rate in his surroundings increase dramatically. He grabbed Alex, carrying the motionless body in the air and felt for a pulse. When he found it, he calmed down a bit but his state remained. He hated this place he was in, the urge to destroy it all much greater than before he entered.

And that's what he did

Alex groaned loudly, squinting his eyes. His body acheced a little, but nothing really was in pain. His head felt fuzzy and he grumbled softly to himself in his lying position

"Awake are we?"

Alex turned his head to see David smiling sweetly at him.

"Waa...what happened? Where are we?" Alex asked, confused. The last thing he remembered was being inside the base, and fighting the giant robot known as Cataclysm, then everything else was blank

"We're in the forest we used to hide out in. AS for what happened, our little mission was a success" David was crouching over, and put a paw Alex's cheek to stroke it a little. He had cleaned up Alex's fur a bit with some water, Alex had been to far out of it to wake up during it, and he watched and waited for the burns and wounds to heal for about 2 hours.

"...What happened David? I can't remember anything about it" Alex rubbed his head a bit and sat up slowly.

"Well, you got hit, and a bit badly hurt, but you being an angel healed after a while"

"I got hit huh...what happened after?" Alex asked

"Well...I had a bit of an episode. Couldn't stand the though of seeing you hurt. I kinda lost control of my body and went full demon. Needless to say, I trashed the place in an explosion."

Alex stared at David "Does that happen when you get sad or angry?"

David smiled sheepishly "Not normally no, I can handle it...its just...seeing you hurt...it broke me. That is one thing I will never forgive of someone, if they badly hurt the man I love. Demi demons only go full demon when they are going to a large amount of distress or rage, but it's a rare happening."

Alex couldn't help a soft blush "So, anyone who hurts me is in a hell of a lot of trouble?"

David smirked "Yep"

Alex took a minute to look around before he spoke again "So...that's it huh? We beat them?"

David nodded slowly "Yea, we did it..." he broke out into a wider smile "That means we can get married in peace now"

Alex smiled in return, that sounded like music to his c shaped ears "Mmhmm" he leaned over to hug David "Love ya"

"Love ya too babes, don't you ever forget it." David replied.

For a while, they just shared the peaceful moment, free of worry about someone trying to destroy them. They were free now, the realisation only kicking in that moment. They were safe, and so were their families. They could go on with their life as normal as it would let be. Both furs melted into the other's welcoming warmth.

Then Alex smirked and slowly reached down to rub a paw against David's crotch, getting a soft murr from the bat.

"What cha doing love?" David asked with a soft grin

"Well...I was thinkin...it has been a little while...and we've got something to celebrate..." Alex said, for the first time in a long time slightly nervous about sex again.

"You don't even need to ask hon" David said, tilting Alex's head and leaning in for a kiss that slowly grew with passion. As their tongues played, paws stroked where they wish with no limitations. Alex began undoing David's pants and David got it off once it was loose enough. He paused the kiss to take off his shirt and then his undergarments.

Alex hadn't noticed, but he was already naked. His clothes had burnt and David hadn't gotten to create new clothes for him at the time of his worry. It was not like he minded anyway, and there was nothing David hadn't seen yet. He was actually thankful for it right now, saved him the trouble of taking them off.

David resumed the kiss shorted after he was nude; his member was almost fully hard. He pressed forward, gently forcing Alex back to the ground where the two lovers passionately make out with each other. Alex found David's crotch and rubbed his paw against the hardening length, making David murr

"God...it really has been a while. I almost forgot how good it felt just to make love to my little angel" David muttered, all his sorted up sexual tension releasing itself as much as it could manage.

Alex's body thrilled at the touch of his lover's body rubbing up against his own. The mouse could feel something hard poke at his backside, and he knew what it wanted. He twisted round and got onto his paws and knees, rubbing his rump back against the member.

"Take me sexy, as hard and as much as you like" Alex said, staring back into David's eyes the way he would when they were being this sexual

David smiled slyly and slid his way inside slowly, earning a groan from Alex. He took his time in entering his mate; enjoying the tight muscled feel and making sure he didn't hurt his love, murring all the while.

And Alex was just in heaven, pure heaven. He whimpered and let his muscles tense and relax by themselves as they felt a slow repeated motion start taking place inside him. Sure he was a bit tight from lack of this certain action in a while, but it just made it feel so much better, especially for David.

David would push in harder and deeper as he always did as time passed by, letting his length fill every space it possibly could inside Alex. Their murrs turned to small moans, then loud moans accompanied with grunts and whimpers. The moment heated up slowly, as they were taking their own sweet time with it.

David's paws held secure on Alex's hips, and after a while he asked Alex to lye on his back again, which Alex obeyed to with David still inside. The humping continued then, the only real difference was they faced each other, and they took that opportunity to kiss.

And the pleasure seemed never-ending. The sweet feeling of joy and pure love made it even more pleasurable. They could feel each other's heart beating, in sync with the other. Each thrust was better than the next.

Alex shivered, feeling how close he was to blowing his loud. His shaft was rubbing against his own and David's chest and it couldn't take any more. With a loud groan he let his seed loose, letting it matt with his and the bat's chest fur. David wasn't far behind, the tensing of muscle pushing him over his much needed edge and growling out as he came, filling up Alex's tight insides.

They lay there for a moment panting and recovering from afterglow. The sun was starting to go down, the rays of light that managed to break through the canopy of tree shade had turned a slight orange and others had lessened in numbers.

David pulled out slowly, and after taking a breath for energy Alex got onto his feet and jumped up onto the highest branch of the highest tree he could find.

There he saw it, in the distance the sun was setting beautifully. Alex smiled softly at the natural masterpiece. David joined him a few seconds later, and hugged him from behind.

Just as the sun had gone out, and darkness followed. Alex looked at the male he treasure behind him

David may be a demon

But he was Alex's knight in shinning armour..

"What cha reading love?" The black wolf asked his mate as the cheetah closed the book

"Just a gay romance" Tim looked at Devon sweetly "Why?"

The black wolf know as Devon smiled softly and hugged his husband "No particular reason, just wondering..." He kissed the feline's cheek

"It's a real good read. Tragic encounters, sappy moments, lots of romance. Just how I like my books"

"Any sex?"

"Yes"

"Then I'm reading it"

Tim chuckled at his husband "You're such a horny doggy"

"And you married me anyway" Devon replied with a toothy grin

Voila!

The series is officially done!

Wow, that took longer than a year to do

Whew, hard work pays off sometime

Glad I actually finished it and not just let it hang

For those who are wondering about the little part at the ending. I just made that so the story was given more of a real effect. Demons and Angels and stuff are mythical. Doesn't stop me from believeing in them.

Also, for those who don't know who those two characters are, look up my other story on here 'a second chance'

I think some of you might find it pleasant to see them again if briefly

...and yea, that's about it

I'm gonna be writing other stories, I already have one in pending that I must start. So hang on to your seats and be patience

Thanks
