What once Was... Chapter 5

*********WARNING!!! This story is intended for MATURE and RESPONSIBLE ADULTS ONLY*********

"I...I just..." R.C. stutters after the kiss he just received. "Dude...what was that about? I'm not that way."

"I'm sorry R.C., I really thought...I really like you." The fennec starts to cry. "I knew this would happen."

"Joey...I'm really sorry. You're making me feel bad. I really needed time to think about things." R.C. says looking over and noticing the fennec who is crying. He then grabs Joey's paw.

Joey stops and looks up at R.C., and slowly smiles. R.C. says, "Joey, I am your friend. I want you to feel better. Let's go walk out here while there is still light, I kinda want to talk myself." He gets out of the car along with Joey. Walks over to him and hugs him. "Please feel better, let's head this way." He says pointing to the band shell.

The two slowly walk along the paved walkway as the sun slowly makes it way towards the east. R.C. looks over at Joey who is slowly regaining his composure. "Joey, I know what happened at that party the other night may have had an impact on you. I admit I was drugged."

"But that drug is like a truth serum, they always say you open your true feelings inside." Joey protests. "I believe you might have a slight curiosity and I was hoping you might try it one time."

"Joey, I really don't know. Maybe I do. I just don't feel right or comfortable about things." The fox says looking down. They come up to the band shell and sit on the stage facing out. They exchange eye contact a couple times and look down at the ground. "Joey, can I ask you something?"

Joey perks up a little, "Yes?"

"Why me? What do you see in me?" He asks. "I'm just really curious about why you chose me?"

"Well, besides what happened between us that night. I find you really attractive and cute. Plus you seem so nice and caring and I really like that a lot. You don't seem like you're stuck up like some of the others." Joey says while looking down.

R.C. blushes and grins slightly. "um, I don't know what to say, but thank you. I guess I can appreciate where you come from." He looks away while rubbing his hands together. He thinks for a bit and looks up at the sky seeing where the sun is as it starts to get a bit darker. R.C. looks around again and then looks at Joey as he becomes really nervous again. He thinks to himself, "Maybe I should try?" He sees Joey looking down at the ground as his feet swing back and forth rapidly. R.C. gains his composure and takes a huge deep breath. "Joey" he says, "Can I tell you something please?" R.C. slowly scoots closer. Joey looks up at R.C. and replies, "yes?" The fox's heart starts to race as he feels slightly warm.

R.C. rapidly leans in and kisses Joey wrapping his paws around the fennec fox. He locks lips with him slipping his tongue slightly inside as he runs his paws slowly over the fennec's back. Joey slowly moves his paws on to R.C. as well feeling stunned from the surprise kiss. R.C.'s mind becomes blank, but maintains the lock with the stunned fennec fox. Joey slowly becomes more involved as well moving his paw up to the rear of the fox's head.

The two remain locked together for about a couple minutes and then break apart to catch their breaths. R.C., who is blushing deeply, looks over at the oak tree near his left. Joey smiles brightly and looks at the fox who appears scared. "R.C.?" the fennec asks.

R.C. turns and faces the fennec. "Yeah, I tried it...I had to try it." He then blushes and looks around.

"Well, I respect you for trying at least, but I am...shocked to hell. What...do you honestly feel?" Joey asks.

"Um...Joey. I, just don't know. I feel a lot right now. Part of me is scared and uncertain. The other part...well..." the fox hesitates and shakes a little.

"Take your time, I understand." Joey says comforting the fox.

"I'm gonna say this once, but please...please please don't tell anyone." R.C. says.

"Oh ok I won't." Joey reassuringly replies.

"I...feel weird and it's good. I think I actually...like feel a lot of warm feelings. It's like I am falling in love and it feels good." R.C. says blushing and looking away shyly. "Joey, I honestly think I am bi as well because I felt a lot with you, but It feels wrong in the same way."

"Oh I guess you're around a lot of gay bashers huh?" the fennec adds.

"Yeah, I'm by a bunch of them and it scares me what they would do. I should wait until I'm out of school because I understand college is more accepting." R.C. adds. "I figure you would understand?" He looks up at the sky and sees it's quite dark. "um, it's getting late, I have school tomorrow."

"Yeah, me too. I still got one more year."

"Well, shall we?" R.C. extends his paw out.

Joey gets up and gives the fox a hug. "Thank you for coming to see me and at least trying."

"You're welcome." R.C. hugs back. They then head back to the car and get in.

On the way, the two look at each other every so often during the short drive back, both having their own reaction to the prior first-kiss they each shared back at the park. Joey having an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and warmth while R.C. mostly having a mixed reaction, mostly positive. The two remain silent until they reach 29th St and approach Joey's house. R.C. pulls over in front of the house and looks over at Joey.

"R.C. thank you again for everything tonight. I had a good time and hope to see you again sometime?" Joey asks.

The fox looks back and smiles, "Yeah, it was nice. I have to admit, I got a lot of thinking to do." He looks down at his paws and then reaches one over to grab Joey's paw. "But I will admit, I kind of like you. See you around next time." The Fox says.

"R.C., bye bye." The fennec says while leaving the car.

"Wait..." R.C. says looking down, "I think you forgot one thing." He grabs the fennec's shirt and pulls him in for a kiss. "Ok, you have it now. Bye" R.C. blushes deeply and looks at the fennec who is stunned. The fennec regains his composure and walks to his house. R.C. watches to make sure he gets in ok as he does with everyone he rides. Once he gets in his house, the fox makes a u-turn and heads back towards 148 to head home. He feels mostly happy, but also slightly concerned. A lot of thoughts race across the fox's mind as he takes the opposite way to cross the Dravosburg bridge to go home.

He eventually makes his way home at about 8:00 PM. He walks in the house as his dad leaves for work. "Hey dad." The fox waves to his father as he replies, "Welcome home." His dad then gets in his car and leaves. R.C. walks into his place and sees his mother who is about to clean up the kitchen. "Oh hey." He says to his mother.

"Hey, you want something to eat?" She asks

"No thanks, I just ate with someone." He replies while he starts the hot water in the sink for his mother.

"Oh thank you, so anyone we may know? You go on a date? When can I meet her?" his mother asks.

"Oh no, it uh wasn't a date. It was a new friend I met, yeah. Uh we just went to Luciano's over by White Oak." The fox starts to sweat a little trying to maintain his composure.

"Oh ok, did you know today's was couple's day there?" his mom asks curiously.

"Uh no, we found out when we walked in. Wait, how you know this? You never go out to eat!" R.C. fires back asking. His parents rarely eat out.

"My co-workers told me about it last week, they were going tonight, and did you see them at all?" She asks.

"No, I didn't honestly." He replies and looks away a little.

"Ok, so who's your new friend and will they come over one day?" She asks knowing the fox is hiding something from her.

"Um his name is Joey, he goes to events and parties I help run and throw. He's a year ahead of me in school, yeah." R.C. stumbles a little as he informs her of the fennec he met. R.C. starts to wash some of the dirty dishes from his dad's breakfast.

"Oh so he's one your new friends, ok. I thought you went on a date. I know how you like to try things out you know. You can talk to me about it if you want." His mother replies somewhat picking up on R.C.'s body behavior.

"Ok, yeah sorry. I'm just a little sad about Furrywood closing yeah, but I have a potential job offer down at this club in Oakland. They're looking for a technical intern." R.C. changes the subject to prevent further inquiries from his prodding mother. "I head down there after school Wednesday to interview with their sound director. I heard it pays well."

"Well I'm glad, you've been working with those guys who do stuff there every Friday night, right?" She asks going with the subject change.

"Yes, I hope to gain some experience, so yeah. I think it will be fun." R.C. cheerfully adds.

"Ok good, you know we can't be giving you money all the time." His mother adds. "You have to learn responsibility."

"Yes, I know...I know." He says finishing up the last of the dishes. "I hope it goes well, I'm going to go upstairs for a bit and hit the bed. I'm tired."

"Ok, see you at school tomorrow." His mother says who also works at the high school where the fox attends. R.C. doesn't mind his mother working there as sometimes it can be used to his advantage.

The fox makes his way upstairs grabbing his backpack. Upstairs, he strips down to his underwear and sits down on his desk checking his bag for any uncompleted homework. He puts all is books and equipment back in and gets his next day outfit ready and makes his bed placing his fox plush toy on the pillow. He gets on his PC and opens a search window. He then types in "gay male love" and clicks search. Looking through the results, he clicks a few links that appear to possibly provide some insight into his inquisitive mind. Some of the links include "what it is like being in a gay relationship", "am I gay?" and "what is bisexual?" He spends time on each link reading and going over some of the facts that they present. Some of the pages are explicit with male-on-male and female-on-female sex and get into great detail about the aspects of the sexual orientations. After spending 15 minutes or so, he notices his fox cock is stretching his underwear out with a wet spot.

"Oh my, I didn't realize how much that turned me on. I guess I am at least bisexual myself." The fox thinks to himself. "But I'm afraid of anyone finding out? What would they do to me? Would they beat me up? I dunno...I like him, but is it wrong? I don't see what's wrong, it felt so nice!"

He then logs in the AIM program and rave sites he frequents looking to check any missed messages. He sees none surprisingly then moves to check his friend pages out for any scoop. Stopping on Skykid's page, he notices a few changes on his profile. His mood is now set to "in love" and his relationship status is "single, not looking" now. He also noticed he made a posting on his page journal. He clicks on it and it pulls up and reads, "I met a really great guy today. We went to a restaurant and then the park afterwards. He kissed me!!!! I'm so excited! But I feel kind of bad; he doesn't seem too excited about being with me though. I guess I'll give him time before I ask him out again?" R.C. looks down and thinks a bit. He then clicks REPLY on the bottom and types out a reply to the posting. "Well, I feel he probably has a few things he wants to work out first, but I honestly feel he may ask you out soon. ;-) " and hits send.

The fox stands up about to go take care of his personal problem that's nagging him in his underwear, then hears a sound on his PC. He looks over and sees he has two different instant messages. "Damnit." He mutters as he sits back down and opens them up. One of them is from a girl he talks to, reading it "hey you sexy foxy, what you up to tonight? I hear ur single". He opens the other one and doesn't recognize the name, it reads, "Hey R.C., this is Skykid! I saw your reply on my page, are you serious?!?"

He looks at the two knowing that both are single and possibly serious about being with him. He struggles in his mind about who to talk to. He knows he can talk to both, perhaps gain some insight in to what each one wants. He knows who she is and the two have fooled around a little in the past, but he then thinks about earlier with Joey and how he meshed well.

The fox moves the mouse to one of the boxes and clicks in the window. He then starts to type, "Hi, how's it going?" and hits send.
