"So perfect." she sighs, activating a spell to look over other aspects of Cala. "And an egg layer too! Gills, wings, a sharp tail spike, armored scales, a powerful build, massive size. You're perfect Cala, you..."
Raysess' eyes widen. "A vagina AND a cloaca?! Cala, you ARE perfect!"
Raysess gaze unfocuses and she begins talking to herself. "We need to get you into a breeding program right away! You like Red, I'm sure, and the two of you would be just perfect. Maybe for one litter with Red, and the other one I could do something the dragon's blood. Maybe the two linked wombs will crosslink traits between eggs? I could alter them to do as such, I'm sure. Yes, yes, yes, yes! C'mon you two, I'm going to give you heat inducing potions right away." Raysess smiles boardly, she looks happier then Codi has ever seen her before.
But instead of following Red and Cala turn and begin to walk away. "Wh-where are you going?" Raysess asks, confused. "The lab is this way, over here!"
Cala turns hir head, twisting hir serpentine neck to look behind hir at Raysess. "We're done with you, Raysess, we've finished our last job for you and we're leaving. We're not going to be your pets or your slaves. Warbeast as just the same as humans, they just look different!"
Cala turns and continues to walk out, Raysess just stands there, mouth open in shock. Her trance is broken when the door slams shut behind the two Warbeasts. "They what?" Raysess asks in disbelief. "They don't WANT to be my pets? But that's what they were BORN for!"
Codi's Mistress smiles viciously holding up her hand, with a single green scale in the palm. "But it doesn't matter, I have enough of Cala to work with. I also have more then enough dragon's blood to work with, now all I need is a reptilian non-Warbeast to aspect-graft dragon and Cala traits to. Preferably one easy to restrain that no one would miss."
Codi shivers, shi had never heard hir Mistress talk like this. "Yes, that salamander would be perfect, and what's more shi's already pregnant, which could be split, altered and accelerated, so I'd have the first generation of offspring in let's see... three months! Perfect!"
Raysess smiles. "Come my pet, let's collect the little belly crawler." Raysess attempts to walk past Codi into the hallway, but the lizard herm stands in front of her. "No." she says softly.
"NO?! What you mean mean no you overgrown newt?!" Raysess snarls.
"Shi's my mate and you're not going to harm hir!" Codi growls. Raysess snorts.
"I'm not going to hurt hir, I'm going to make hir into a nice, big, strong Warbeast dragon! You said one would be fun to play with, so I'm giving you what you wanted, now aren't I?" Raysess say with a condescending smirk.
"Shi doesn't want to be changed, and I won't let you do anything to hir against hir will!" Codi says adamantly. Raysess just laughs.
"Will of hir own? It doesn't matter what you think, or what shi thinks, you all belong to me, to do with what I... URK!" Raysess chokes on her words and Codi lifts her into the air with one paw around her throat.
"YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HURT HIR!" shi snarls. Raysess slaps Codi in the face, hard enough to make the lizard-herm drop her.
"I can make it worth your while, you know. You give me your little lizard friend, and I'll change you all the way back into a human, how does that sound?" Raysess smirks.
Codi is stunned. "I... I..." shi sputters.
"Think it over pet, I have to prepare both of these samples anyway. If you wish to become human again, bring your 'mate' down to my lab before eight this evening. If not, the two of you better clear out of my castle before then, because you're both exiled!" The word is like a slap to the face.
"I'm sure you'll do the right thing pet, see you then." Raysess says with a sadistic smirk as she turns and walks away, leaving Codi standing their in a mix of anger, confusion, and just a little bit of hope.
Chapter 9
Codi and Spotty had spent the afternoon cuddling, snuggling, mating, and playing with each other. The two of them lay on the floor, Spotty snoring lightly, snuggling up against Codi's breasts. The big herm couldn't tell Spotty about the offer Raysess had made. It just seemed wrong to tell hir that shi would be dragged down the Raysess' lab and altered against hir will, again, just so Codi could be human.
With a sad sigh Codi picks up the sleeping salamander, carrying her slowly to the lab. Shi had placed a pinch of sleeping powder in Spotty's water, Mistress had given it to hir to use when she was so depressed shi just wanted to sleep and hide away from the world. "I'm sorry, Spotty." shi whispered softly.
What shi did would hurt hir, but it was more humane then several things Codi had done in the past. Shi had killed dozens of hir own children and shi had raped the poor lizard that shi carried. Harming the things shi loved was in hir character. Maybe it would give hir new nightmares. Yes, that would be nice, something else other then being dragged down into a slime filled pool and made into a lizard queen. Shi kisses the sleeping salamander on the nose. "I'm sorry." shi repeats.
It was a horrible, selfish thing to do, but Codi hadn't done anything for hirself in years. Shi had just obeyed what hir Mistress told hir, and before that there wasn't much shi could do, shi was a captive egg layer. Shi deserved to be human again, dammit! Shi had done nothing except obey for fifteen long years. Shi had half hir life stolen away from hir, and now shi could get it back.
The way Mistress was fawning over this project, Spotty would be taken good care of, and their hatchlings would as well. Shi wouldn't have to be afraid of Raysess, the sorceress would dote on hir. IT would be better then both of them living sad, frightened, and full of fear. It would be better this way. Spotty would be happy, and maybe someday Codi would be happy. It was the right thing to do. It was the right thing! So why were tears running down hir muzzle? Why was shi crying? It was the right thing to do, even if it hurt them both a little bit to be apart.
Codi would be of no use to Spotty as a human female. They wouldn't be able to mate like they had before, especially when Spotty got to be really big. Codi was never very big for a human, and they wouldn't be able to physically mate with the size difference. Codi tears fell onto the unconscious salamander. "I'm sorry." Codi says for the third and final time, nudging open the door to the lab with hir tail.
