Prologue

A pain shot up my left arm from the bleeding wound my enemy's knife left me. "The mission is more important then your life." A voice in my head reminded me. "You must protect them. Nothing else matters. Carry out your objectives at all costs." It all seemed so simple back within the safe confines of the briefing room.

Despite the fact it was only yesterday, the briefing session felt as if it occurred long ago. Any doctrine can sound good in theory, but in a fight-or-flight moment one's sense of self preservation tends to cloud judgment. As adrenaline coursed through my veins I tried to maintain sight of my goal, my target, the sole purpose for my being here. I caught sight of one of them across the dimly-lit area. Shaking uncontrollably, teary-eyed and helpless.

She hardly seemed notable, let alone one to be the focus of such a massive operation. Her fear was justified, for she knew as well as I did what would happen if these people took her away. Huddled closely behind her were five others, equally distraught, their faces frozen in shock and horror. I knew from the message I had received earlier that there would be more of them, hidden in the shadows nearby. This was going to be difficult... The acrid smell of my own blood running across my skin brought me back to the present. I was outnumbered as it was, let alone with a now-useless limb holding me back.

I knew that someone was going to die before the night's end. I could only hope that someone wasn't me. To survive would require great concentration and luck. While slowly drawing out my sword, they started to come closer. Everything grew deafeningly silent. Enough so that I could hear my heartbeat thundering in my ears. This must truly be... the brink of death. With out hesitation, I swung my sword. The sight of my sword tearing through the flesh of my enemies gave me a feeling of satisfaction. There they fall, covered in a pool of their own blood. The look of fear frozen on their faces.

Pausing a moment to wipe the sanguine liquid from my blade. The click of the hilt against the scabbard echoing in the silence. The dragonesses looked at me, their fear slowly engulfs them. Another silence overcomes the area as the dragonesses try to question if I am friend or foe. In a low, exhausted voice, I said "Don't worry, I mean no harm. I was sent to help you." Without knowing if they believed me or not, I walked over to a body and swiped the key for the chains. One of the dragoness spoke as I approached. "Why are you helping us?! You are just like them, human!".

I stopped in my tracks, pondering on how to tackle the situation. "Because I am not human. I am a Dragoon." I responded. They looked at me with a puzzled look. "If you don't want my help, at least let me release you from those binds." I slowly inserted the key into the lock and took off the iron chains that bonded them. With my mission being completed, I started my journey home until a voice spoke, "Wait a second!."I look back and I see the group of dragoness looking at me. "We are sorry, its just that all our lives, humans have brought much misfortune upon us. Are you really a Dragoon as spoken in Legend?"

I let out a smile, but the pain on my arm made it hard to keep it. "Yes I am. I was sent by the Dragoon Organization of Order and Protection. Take this, you will need it". I took out a small device from my pocket and I hand to them. "This is the mark of the Dragoon. Whenever you get into trouble again, just press it and aid will quickly come." The feeling of hope filled the area. "Thank you honorable Dragoon. You have given us a second chance in life." My heart filled with happiness, knowing how I have done good. With the mission completed, I must depart back to D.O.O.P.

The pain in arm started to get worse, so I had to hurry. I activated the magic of the Trans dimensional Gateway. As the portal appeared before me, I feel a hand tap my shoulder. One of the dragonesses had stayed behind. "May we know the name of our rescuer?" She asked. Those words flooded my heart with warmth. "Eurasia" I humbly replied. "Thank you, honorable Eurasia, we shall never forget what you have done for us." With that, the dragoness flew off and I stepped into the portal. The area grew dark, clouds started to circle the area. In a bright flash of light, I disappeared into the gateway. Time and space being passed through to reach my home.

-

I arrived at the base, known as D.O.O.P., cradling my damaged arm. My jacket was torn, and the blood had already started to dry, leaving blackish, jagged streaks all the way up to the elbow. A nearby attendant spotted my injury and offered assistance. "I'm alright, it looks worse than it really is," I replied "It will heal up by the time my next mission is assigned." I managed a forced smile, and with a hardy salute, I bid the man farewell.

On my way to the sick bay, I overheard bits and pieces of various conversations, mostly just daily business and chatter. As my jogging legs carried me past the cafeteria, I caught the tail end of a discussion about one of the other missions taking place. Two Guards, in charge of security, were on their lunch break. "Damn shame about that mission to dimension 425463." said one, lifting a soft drink to his lips. "No kidding...three Dragoons, killed in an instant, and not a single soul liberated." responded the other. "I'd hate to see what did that, without a trace no less."

Standing up, he crumbled up a napkin and sent it arcing into a nearby trash can. "Three Dragoons?" I muttered to myself. "What could have done that?". It couldn't have just been a fluke, members of our organization are not so easy to cast aside. The thought of something that could dispatch multiple Dragoons so easily and leave no evidence gave me a chill. The throbbing from my arm broke my reverie and brought me back to the present as I continued down the corridor.

Passing some of my comrades, I received congratulations on my safe return. "Well done!" and "Eurasia, again you just barely made it! Better hurry to the Medlab" Rounding a corner I saw the red-cross sign the hung next to the entrance of the Medlab. Stepping through the doorway I was met with the smug smile of the head physician, Dr. Payne. "Back again I see. You just can't seem to keep yourself together can you?" he joked, stepping to a nearby cabinet and fetching the disinfectant liquid. "Sorry Doctor, it's just such a pleasure to see you. I have to find an excuse" I responded sarcastically. Reaching into a small jar, the doctor withdrew a small amount of a jelly-like salve and rubbed it on my wound.

Composed of artificially enhanced amino acids and a mild stimulant, the substance sped up cell division in a localized area, accelerating the healing process. Dr. Pain replaced the jar in the cabinet and came back with a length of gauze, wrapping a bandage loosely around my arm. "You should be able to use it by tomorrow Eurasia. Just try to stay alive, ok? I'm tired of writing death certificates." I nodded and left the lab, eager to get out of my torn clothing. I made my way back to my cabin slowly, the fatigue from stress and the mild loss of blood starting to get to me. I was about to collapse into my bed, but as I passed the full-length mirror, I paused to study my appearance.

The physical effects of my years of service were starting to have an effect on me. I had grown to a well-proportioned 6'4". The red hair on my head had grown out too far; I hadn't seen the barber in what seemed like ages. My torso was not the soft mass it once had been. It had become hard and flat, the muscles like tightly coiled rope. Scars textured my frame, remnants of battles fought long ago. I looked just like I should have in the prime of my life, but at the moment I felt worn and ragged. Succumbing to the will of my fatigued body, I fell onto my bed, ready to drift into dream land.

I was soon interrupted by a loud and crude announcement, "Eurasia of Cabin 21xx, your immediate attendance to the briefing room is required. I repeat Eurasia, you are to report to the briefing room." "DAMN IT!" I growled frustrated with my dearth of sleep. Knowing I would gain nothing from complaining I left the comfort of my bed and headed out the room. The small briefing room was reached with a short five minute walk.

Upon reaching the opened door the commander chief of missions Nocturnophile called out to me. "The counsel has been very pleased with your work and what you have done Eurasia," he said with a smile as I walked in, "if you keep it up and you surely will become a fine Dragoon someday." That comment gave me a great feeling, being praised by both the counsel and the commander chief. "Thank you Commander." I humbly replied, "so for what reason did you summon me? Is there another mission lined up for me?"

However tired I was, I was not about to refuse a mission, for it goes against regulations. "Correct. Have a seat and I shall begin the briefing." We both sat down at the briefing table and Nocturnophile started the briefing of my new mission. "How much do you know about the mission to dimension 425463?"As I heard the dreaded numbers, my face suddenly began to tense, my heartbeat paced and my muscles tightened, effects of an unknown feeling running through me. "I've heard that the mission was a failure, the three Dragoons dispatched was wiped out with out a single trace. They were eliminated so fast they were unable to save anyone. I have been pondering what could have caused such a tragedy."

Nocturnophile revealed a slip of paper and passed it to me. "Well, we are still in the dark as of what happened. It is now your mission to go and find our as much as you can about the death of the three Dragoons and continue their mission to liberate the dragons inhabited there. Is that understood Eurasia?" I sprang up and proudly replied "Yes sir!" I left the briefing room feeling uneasy. It was something about going to dimension 425463 did not feel right. Out of habit, I began to hold my right hand, where the magical source of power of Dragoons lies.

The mystical Dragoon Spirit. Holding it would cause it to emit a warm light that would rid my body of any uneasy feeling and replace it with a feeling of calm. I rushed the short trip back to my comfy cabin and was finally able to peacefully fall onto my bed. As I was caressed with the calm and sweetness of sleep, the fears I had slowly melted and disappeared.

-

Morning came as I woke to a perfect feeling body. No longer was I weighted down by the immense pain of my left arm. I hastily removed the bandage on my arm and stared at the new looking flesh where it was torn. There was not a trace of the injury, not even a scar. "Good as new!" I thought admiring my healed arm. Feeling ready and confident for the big mission scheduled today I took a quick refreshing shower and got dressed in a shiny new set of cloths. I discarded my old armor, worn and torn from the previous mission, and I picked up a new chest armor.

Though the new armor only covers the chest, it was much more protecting then my last. The new armor was made by combining titanium and cotton allowing it to be durable and light weight, built similar to the pants I slipped on. Just before stepping out of the cabin, I slipped my Portable Integrated Computer or P.I.C. as it was called, into my back pocket "I need to be extra careful during this mission. If something goes wrong I can use my P.I.C. to call for reinforcements."

I raced out of my cabin toward the largest room here at D.O.O.P.; the magnificent grand transportation gateway. On the way, I crashed into Nocturnophile, nearly knocking him over. "WHOA! Easy boy, slow down, the mission is not going run away from you." "Sorry commander, I just feel that I am ready. I couldn't feel any better!" I replied with great confidence and high determination. "Good to hear, but be careful out there, stay alert and on guard. You are a fine soldier. Our forces can't loose you." "Yes sir! I'll make sure that won't happen, sir!"

The time costly chat with Nocturnophile set me a bit behind schedule. I continued my course and reached the G.T.G. I began preparing the gate for my mission. After I double checked all the information, and coordinates of my destination I open the gate. The grand gate opened with a blinding flash that surrounded me and sucked me into the transporting vortex.

Another flash signaled the start of my mission as I arrive in midst of unknown land. I immediately surveyed my surrounding, to ensure that I was alone. Seems that I arrived in a meadow, by a forest. I took out my P.I.C. to review my directives. "Investigate the deaths of the three fallen dragoons and continue their rescue mission." After having read the objective I activated the map, as if Mother Nature was guiding me, a gentle breeze blew eastward. The map showed the first site being around three hundred miles east of where I stood. I placed my P.I.C. back into my back pocket and ran towards the less active part of my mission. I ran as fast as I could, wanting to get the investigation over and done with as quickly as possible.

As I ran, I thought about the tragedy, what unspeakable monster could have so easily killed three dragoons and if I was powerful enough to defeat it should I encounter such foe. Short moments later, I snap myself into focus as I reached the dreadful site. I stood staring at the area dumbfounded, every thing seemed as if it had untouched and undisturbed for centuries. The more I looked the more I question the accuracy of the coordinates given to me. Wanting to confirm my whereabouts I reached for my P.I.C., just then, two small sparkles caught the very corner of my eye.

Dragoon spirits, on the ground as if they were simply discarded. Approaching the two spirits left on the ground, my heart grew heavy with sadness with each and every step. As I reached down to grab the first of the two spirits, my heart skipped, knowing now for sure my comrades were killed relentlessly. Continuing to retrieve the remains of my fallen comrades, I headed for the second. Then it hit me, I didn't see a third. Having two sprites, I looked around for the third.

Without warning, a tremendous and terrible power approached me at an uncanny speed. Almost instinctively I reached for my sword with my right hand. I was too late. The instant my hand hit the hilt of my sword, the blade of my enemy was right in front of me, moments from beheading me. Such speed, such power, my foe could not have been a being of the dimension. The unexpected assailant's overwhelming power paralyzed my body. Unable to retaliate in any form, I stood, frozen with fear waiting to die. Mother Nature had thought other wise. The blade was molecules away from my neck when the unruly will to live took over my body.

Running purely on instinct, my body moved, flinging my left arm forward, causing my elbow to lodge deep into the ribs of the oncoming attacker. This act allowed me the chance to escape, taking it, I leaped far away from the fray. With my adversary temporary stunned I was able to recollect myself and focus on this fight once more. No longer under the effects of fear, I was about to turn this ambush to my advantage. Sword drawn, I was ready; I turn to face my nightmare. As I got a good look at him, I could not believe the identity of my assailant.

"Nothing less then what I remembered, quick thinking and quick to act. You haven't changed much have you? Little Eurasia." Teased my older brother. The brother who taught me every thing I knew, the brother whom I loved, the brother who died seven years ago. That same brother was the one trying to kill me. My heart clouded with anger and confusion, only able to respond in shock. "Abyssion!? No, it's not possible, you died in that accident. I can't believe you've been alive all this time." My brother chuckled at me, "If I were not alive, how could I be here, standing, laughing at you? You know very well that the dead do not simply rise with life."

What he said was true, there was only one way to bring back the dead, but that task was only in theory. No one has ever done a revival. However, I was in denial, "You can't be my brother, Abyssion would never try to kill me! You are nothing but an imposter! Discard your guise and show your self!" I screamed with tears running down my face. "If my standing here does not provide enough proof for you, then gaze at this." The person standing in front of me took out a half of a coin. The other half of the coin I had. Our mother's memento.

The coin was branded with the symbol of the D.O.O.P., a coin that Abyssion and I would hold on to for life. "I refuse to believe you, I will not believe my own brother would try to kill me. That coin... it must be a counterfeit, like you!" "I guess there no way I can convince you otherwise, you may believe what ever you want. True or false." He replied with a serious look. "That aside, I have to kill you, for you are in my way. Much like those weaklings that was send here by the dimwits back at D.O.O.P."

Somewhere in my heart, I knew he was indeed my brother. But only in body. His soul is no longer the loving brother I knew. His soul is corrupt and evil. As a dragoon, it was my duty to eliminate those who harm my comrades and those who posed a threat to D.O.O.P. I knew what I had to do. "So it was you that killed them. I do not know what has happened to you, as regulations dictate, I must kill you." He laughed at me as if I had just told a joke, "Hahahaha, you mustn't joke during battle little brother. We both know you can't kill me, you lack the skills."

I can not hesitate, even if the body of my brother stands, his soul is lost. "Laugh all you want. I am going to send you to the afterlife!" I scream as I rushed him. He dodged my first swing like if it was child's play to him. I was not fast enough. I followed my first swing and attacked with a second, faster and stronger swing, but to no avail. Abyssion was just too fast. He dodged it once more and knocked me back.

"Eurasia, you are in no way, shape or form to fight me in your current state." Like the older brother that he is, he was right about me. I was too weak to fight him now, something I hated to admit. I was left without a choice, I activated the power of my spirit. My right hand shined bright red, engulfing me in an aura of fire, supercharging my body with magic energy. "You asked for it Abyssion. I won't be holding back!" I charged at him and swung with god like speed, but despite my best efforts, I barely graze him. "Wow, that was a close one. You really have improved a lot over the years." He smirked as he forced me back once more, "Now let me show you what true power really is!"

His right hand began to shine, he had activated his spirit, but the color was of an ominous black, one that blanketed me with fear. The darkness soon covered my brother like a veil. Like a black hole, the darkness started to spread, flooding the area with sadness. The clouds gathers above him as is nature feared this darkness. What was the meaning of the black spirit? Was it the reason I lost my brother? I shook my head to focus my mind and overcome the sudden fear. "No more games, I shall finish this with just one shot!"

I called forth the power with in me and swung my sword to unleash that energy toward my brother. "SONIC BOOM!" the wave of energy headed directly for Abyssion. Abyssion stayed still, not even remotely intimidated, only raised one hand. With that hand, Abyssion did the impossible. He negated the attack. One of my best attacks. "I see that you have mastered that attack. Yet, there was one simple but fatal flaw. Did you really think that you would be able to scratch me with an attack that I had taught you?" He chuckled once more, then his face became serious, more so then before, "Time to finish this, dear brother."

Before I could even notice, my brother had grabbed my neck. The pain of him strangling me was immense. My body did not respond, and there was nothing I could do. Yet again, I waited for death. With the lack of oxygen, I was about to blackout. Just then, I no longer felt pain on my neck, it was replaced by the pain from me hitting the ground. Realizing what had happened I scrambled to get air back in my lungs. "So it has already begun. How interesting..." My brother said deactivating his spirit. "What do you mean it has begun?" I said puzzled as I struggled to stand up "That is none of your concern little brother." Whatever it was, it saved my life.

My brother had showed no intention to spare my life before. "Hawk Wave!" a scream came out of the blue. A huge whirlwind filled with magical energy approached Abyssion. Abyssion laughed "This again, when do you idiots learn?" he stood there letting the wind engulfed him. Though the whirlwind did not seem to do any harm to Abyssion, it did trap him in it. Taking the opportunity given to me, I headed for the source of the attack. I could not find anyone around. I felt some energy floating above me, cuing me to look up. "Could it be?!" I thought to my self as I saw a figure floating in midst the clouds. "Eurasia! Is that really you? I haven't seen you in so long!" Said the familiar voice.

I knew that voice, it was Zero, my best friend. "I can believe it! You were one of the dragoons sent here?" I called to him in near disbelief. Zero slowly floated back down to earth, as he left the clouds that hid him, I saw that he was mortally injured. I quickly ran up to him to assist him. "What did Abyssion do to you? You're badly hurt." He coughed blood and collapsed onto me, dropping his Tengu sword. "Zero!" I screamed nervously. "I'm not dying Eurasia, so don't worry so much." Zero weakly replied. "You should be worried about your self. Abyssion used an attacked called Hell Storm. I only barely got away." I rushed out my P.I.C. to contact Commander Nocturnophile for assistance. "Noc do you read me, Noc!" I yelled with desperation to get a response.

"Yes, Eurasia I hear you loud and clear." Hearing that response, all nervousness and tension drained out of me. "Noc, I need immediate authorization for teleporting dragoon Zero back to base. He is heavily injured and needs immediate medical attention. Over." "The authorization is complete, and medics dispatched. Return to your mission dragoon. Over and out!" I immediately started the transportation module of my P.I.C. and inputted the coordination for D.O.O.P.. I helped Zero get back on his feet as the trans-dimensional portal opened. "Relax Zero, soon you will be at the Medlab"

"Eurasia, you must not try to take on Abyssion again. He has become much too powerful. You must find a way to make him retreat, or you must run now before my attack no longer binds him down." I nodded and helped Zero into the portal. With the portal closed and Zero back safely at D.O.O.P. I can now focus all of my attention on Abyssion. The Hawk Wave was diminishing, leaving only a large cloud of smoke. The smoke cleared, but there was no one left.

Where did Abyssion go? Did Zero actually defeat Abyssion? "I didn't know I had let that little rat escape." I sprung around, hearing the evil laughter of my brother behind me "I guess I just have to try harder next time." He said as if killing my comrades was nothing but a game to him. "Well, it was fun meeting you again brother, but I have other things to tend to. Well meet again, I'll make sure of it." Angered at his attitude, I charged at him. He stopped me with a blinding flash, when I looked again, Abyssion was gone, disappeared without a single trace.

With my brother gone and the mystery solved, I checked my P.I.C. once more for the location of my next objective. My simple mission was to rescue a lone dragoness held captive in a southern village. Slightly worn out by Abyssion, I was not able to run at full speed, causing my trip take a few hours. When I arrived near the village, it was already dusk. It seems I spent more time with Abyssion then I thought. The mission data estimated around two hundred humans have settled into this village. With such a small village, my armor and shining spirit would arouse suspicions. I moved myself out of sight and activated the hologram projector from my wondrous P.I.C.. Pixels of light covered my armor and my right hand, making my battle armor look like meager rags of clothing and fading the shine of my spirit till nothing was left.

Even with my hologram disguise, I still had to make pass that I simply was a traveler passing by this village. I had to be careful not to catch unneeded attention to myself. As I strolled through the village unnoticed, I searched for the whereabouts of the dragoness. Yet, against my efforts, I failed to find any leads to my goal. Before long, the moon had lighted the night sky. I began to worry that I will not be able to find the dragoness in time. As luck would have it, a bar opened nearby for the night. I realized that only shady businesses would risk dealing with a dragon.

A night bar was a common gathering place for such underground organizations. Being one of the first to enter the tavern, I picked the center seat at the bar. Where I sat allowed me to hear all conversations in the bar. I ordered a standard drink and asked the barkeep about this town. "You're at here town's only bar. The watering hole is out east, the ranch west, and not far north is the town square and church." I thanked the barkeeper and waited. As people come and go, I strain to listen in on people, however I only heard knavish chitchats and useless rumors.

Growing impatient, I was ready to leave, this kind of tavern offer little for my much needed recovery. I paid for my drinks and turn to head out. As I thought about other places to seek clues, I heard a man mumble the word "dragon". Realizing what I had heard. I paced my self so I could catch enough information but not seem as if I was just standing in the middle of the tavern. The voice came from a table next to the exit.

It was a rich looking man, he stood out with his clean colorful clothes. "...the auction's tonight boys, she's quite a catch this one. Nice healthy dragon. Don't be late, or it'll start wi..." Yes! This is what I have been waiting for. But I still need a location. "...can. Town square in forty-five minutes right behind th..." I had reached the door. Though I didn't have all of it, I had enough information to go on. With every thing I had so far gathered, I walked north to the town square. Before long, I find my self surrounded by an unusually large crowed that had gathered at the square.

Such amassing of rich folk must mean I was at the right place. I wondered around to find where the dragon was being held. This task proved difficult, the dragoness was hidden well, and my only chance now is to wait for the auction. My luck strikes once more, the rich man I saw at the bar had enter the square with body guards surrounding him. As he stopped to order his men, I sneaked close to eavesdrop. "...ok out. You, head east. You two, go guard the merchandise. You, g..."

Music to my ears. I hid my self in the shadows and hopped on a roof. I followed the two guards, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, they lead me to the church. I was relived to have finally found the dragoness. I deactivated my hologram generator and jumped back onto the ground. Slowly and silently, I sneaked against the wall of the church. Slightly regretting not noticing such a large building before. I peeked over the corner of the church and saw the two guards stand by a blanket covered cage I conjured a fireball and hurled it at the near by old shack.

The fireball made a loud crack as it hit and set the shack on fire. Just as planned, the guards ran to check the shack and try to stop any panicking civilians from going near the cage. I ran and unveiled the unguarded cage, revealing a gorgeous dragoness. She had scarlet red scales, large beautiful wings and stood seven feet tall. Though I was admiring her beauty, she eyed me with disgust. "Why must you disturb me veil human?" she cursed at me, reminding me what I was here for.

I unsheathed my sword and raised it to break the lock. My luck steak ended as I heard the yell from one of the guards. "Hey you! Get away from that!" This was unfortunate and unforeseen. I avoid wasting time, I swung my sword at the door. As the door of the cage crumble I held my hand out to the dragoness, "Grab my hand quick! I'm here to save you." She only stared back with a perplex look. "Liar! You're just a human, you are just trying to trick me!"

The guards had drawn their swords and began to gather a mob. "We have no time for this. Come on! would you rather stay here?" She realized her lack of choices. "...... I guess I have no choice." She took my hand and I pulled her out of the cage. She was much more magnificent up close in person. She only had on a loin cloth and an old rag covering her top, but this was no time for gazing at her beauty. "Can you fly?" I asked the dragoness.

With a crestfallen look she replied, "I was tranquilized earlier by one of the guards." The mob formed a blockade. Even though their speeds will never compare to mine, I am still unable to run through them. I had only one way of escaping now. I stabbed my sword into the ground, "Fire Wall!", I channeled my magic into the ground through my sword. Fire sprouted out from the ground as if it was fleeing from hell. The fire formed walls separating the dragoness and I from the mob. Pulling my sword out of the earth I called to the dragoness "Alright you, get on my back." Hearing such, she replied with displease, "If you must , my name is Rizan."

"Sorry Rizan, quick, on my back". She complied with my request, but due to the difference in our height, it was difficult for her. I heard the voice of the rich man in charge, screaming for me to return Rizan. Ignoring the idiot, I leaped onto the roof of the church. Borrowing the rooftops, Rizan and I bailed out of the village. Rizan guided me west towards her domain.

We soon reached the base of a tall mountain. Rizan informed me that her home is a cave at the top of the mountain. Effortlessly jumping from ledge to ledge, we reached the top shortly. Atop the mountain was a cave that seemed to emit a light. Gently, I let Rizan down and walked her into her home. The cave had writings on the walls, alone with many door-like holes leading to different parts of the cave. Having sat down on a bedrock, Rizan began to question me.

Starting with my motives. "I want to thank you sincerely, but I must know why you saved me. You are a mere human. A race bent on loathing and destroying things that differ from them. What make you unlike the rest of your vile species?" Having been through this many times before, I looked down at the floor, slightly making me sad. "I am not just a simple 'human' that you think of me. As you've seen, I am able to do things that no ordinary human can even dream of doing."

"I see. Sorry for assuming. It's just... Well. Thanks for saving me from those horrid beasts. You are welcome to stay here at my cave, as a token of my gratitude. But you have yet to tell me what you are, as you are not human." She smiled. Smiling back at her, I replied "Thanks for the offer, I was going to ask if I could stay. I need to ensure your safety. I can not have you taken by them again. Please, go rest and get better from the tranquilizer. I will stay and guard the opening. I promise I will explain about myself tomorrow" Rizan yawned in agreement " You're right. I am still under the effect of that drug. Just don't tire yourself out." She walked towards an another room. stopping at the opening of that room. "Wait a second... I just realized, I never got your name." "Its Eurasia."

"Good night Eurasia." She said with another yawn, disappearing into the darkness of the inner room. Alert for any threats that may head this way, I stood just outside the cave all night. The uneventful night passed quicker then expected. With the rising of dawn I headed down to the river to gather and purify water. Feeling hungry I decided to go for a hunt. I caught and decapitated a hog that had come to the river. I brought my spoils and went back to Rizan's cave. Either it was good timing or just the smell of the cooking, I heard Rizan emerge from her room as I finished roasting the hog.

The morning light amplified Rizan's natural beauty. I awed at her magnificent body as I told her that the breakfast was ready. She happily greeted me, with a look of surprise at what I had done. "Wow, good morning Eurasia, thanks for the food and water." "It was nothing. Besides, you must not have eaten nicely in a while."Blushing, I replied with a smile.

Rizan sat next to me to eat. With Rizan next to me, I was not able to stop blushing, a new feeling rushed through me. My hunger postponed my thoughts and questions about this new feeling. The aroma of the freshly roasted hog called to me to take a giant bite. To my surprise, the taste was magnificent. By the way Rizan was wolfing hers, she must of thought so as well. Rizan ate with amazing speed, while I had only eaten about half of my portion, she had finished all of hers, and her half of the water.Finished with her food, Rizan thanked and hugged me.

Her body was warm and soft, I felt I was melting in her arms. The hug relaxed me and I never wanted it to end. The heavenly feeling ended sooner then I wished as she released me. Rizan rose and sat across from me, on the same rock she had questioned me last night. "That was a great meal to start the day with. Thanks Eurasia, you're a great cook." The mysterious feeling returned with that compliment. The odd feeling distorted my speech, and I began to blush. "T-Th-an-k Y-y-you." I barely managed to say.

My stuttering made Rizan giggle. "Sorry I embarrassed you. So back to the topic at hand." I glanced at her with a puzzled look. Noticing my confused state Rizan explained what I had promised last night. "Remember last night you said that you would tell me more about your self?" I had to search my memory for a second. Then I remember I had indeed say that. "Oh right. Where to begin, my name is Eurasia. Hmm... I don't know what else you really need to know about me." Rizan stared at me disappointingly. "That all you are willing to say? Then I shall tell you a bit about my self. Rizan is my nickname. My name is Rising Zaraphan. My full name is very long, so I'll spare you of that. I am still in my early years of thirty six hundred." "

Three thousand years old?!" I interrupted." "Yes, three thousand six hundred and forty to be exact mind you. Need I remind you how long dragons can live." We continued to talk till dusk. Talking with Rizan has hastened time. Rizan wanted to freshen up with a bath. She had informed me that there was a hot spring deeper into the cave. Feeling the need to continue guard duty, I headed out, only to be stopped by Rizan. "Wait Eurasia, You've been working too hard. You need to relax and get some rest. How about you join me in the hot spring? The spring is pretty big." She stared at me, as if she was looking into my soul. "Uh..." Her beauty stunned me and I was left breathless and paralyzed. I stood there unable to answer her. Gathering all my strength, I somehow managed to yelp a yes. "Great! Follow me, this cave is like a maze at night."
