You smile, you laugh, you say ILY
You hug, you sing, you reach for the sky,
With a simple flash, a memory is frozen.
Your smiling and your happy,
... ... At least, that's it means to me.
Behind your little smiling photos,
Behind the words you say,
You're sad and lonely every single day.
... ... Yet
... ... you smile in spite of yourself,
You laugh...
despite your sadness,
You hug because you're alone.
Behind you're happy memories with the one you love,
There's a sadness that you can't fathom.
Behind you're singing, you are crying, crying silently.
Afraid of the demons that surround you,
(You-freeze-a-fake-smile), (you) freeze-a-fakelaugh) you stop time for a moment to hug yourself.

I'm not sure what I should do to help you, but you're just so far away.
Just too far away.
So you keep those fake smiles and those happy pictures to mask your sadness you're feeling.
Behind your brave façade, you're scared and lonely.
