Dragon Flight

When a small clan loses their matriarch a mating flight of her daughter is thrown up for the dragons to pit themselves against one another for the crown. Of course, the old king is more than happy to skew things directly in his favor to ensure his reign continues.

The wind hit Chalkin full in the chest as he swept his wings down and did his best to avoid the swirling snow, slipping along the winds as he flared his tail fins open wide so that he was able to navigate with more precision. The first snow of the year and it was closing down the mountain passes for all but the most experienced fliers. The fledglings were being forcibly kept in their caves by their parents to make sure that none of them were dashed on the rocks by the violent storms. Chalkin reveled in it, his broad frost blue wings swept down and nearly brushed the ground as he followed the narrow pass that would guide him back to the heart of his home. The hidden valley of the Torrenzia Clan, it was home to one of seven Clans that inhabited the northern territories and the greatest. He pumped his wings shallowly, his paws nearly hitting the ground as he caught another burst of wind and flashed past the low level caves.

He flicked his inner eye lid over his eyes to keep the snow from blinding him as he arrowed in on the sweep of the lower valley where he had claimed one of the best lairs for himself. He wasn't one of the Torrenzia, he was a mongrel drake that had forced his way into the heart of their home by strength of his wings alone. His mother had been from a sea born Clan, gifting him with the color of the ocean itself, edged in white, like sea foam, along the sweep of his wings and tail fins. His father had been a nameless Northern drake that had managed to catch her in a mating flight, but from his father he had gotten weight and power. His chest muscled and his hind legs massive so he had the advantage on any given fight or hunt. Which made his youth more troublesome than most.

Most Clans were close, families joined together through generations with little to do with the rest of the world. There were some Clans that were more loosely affiliated, but they were considered the odd ones. Dragons weren't designed to live alone, their instincts made them crave being around one another, which was why he had set out to find one he could join. Neither of his parents' clans wanted him, but as he had grown larger, he had turned his eyes towards the clans of smaller dragons, ones that didn't have enforcers that could keep him out. He didn't need to be loved, he just needed to feel not so alone. That's when his eyes had gone towards the smaller northern clans that had just enough members to suit his purposes, but not so many that they could keep him out. They had challenged his settling in the midst of the Torrenzia Clan, but he had the weight to silence them.

There was no place in the world for a hybrid between two different clans of his sort. Northern tribes might interbreed, southern might do so as well, but only within their own territory and similar kinds. He was nothing like a dragon of the north, he had too much weight to him, he had fins that ran along the backs of his legs and a broad sail right at the base of his tail that was meant for swimming in the water. And he was nothing like a dragon of the coast, he had hard thick claws and spines that jutted out from his shoulders and back. He had no gills and his wings weren't short and stubby like one meant to swim. He was a creature that was neither here nor there, which meant that he had had no choice but to try and find a clan for himself. He could almost feel sorry for the little beasts that had tried to drive him away, they hadn't stood a chance.

With a grunt he flared his wings open as he spotted his low covered cavern and beat his wings roughly to come down for a landing despite the harsh battering winds that tried to sweep him back into the skies. The snow creaked beneath his weight, covering him nearly up to the knees as he shook himself out and carefully folded his wings, flapping them just long enough to get rid of the worst of the snow that was coating his wing sails. With a lazy rumble he swung his tail to crack against the front of his cave so that the built up ice fell away and crackled to the ground. The cold bit at him, he always felt it a bit more than a true Torrenzia drake would have, but he'd warm up soon enough.

His home was a broad cavern that had been cleared of rock outcroppings and had a smooth comfortable floor and a sharp turn kept the winds from reaching him where he preferred to sleep. It was the only one large enough for someone of his bulk, and had the added bonus of having a mineral spring at the very back that was warm and welcoming on the long winter nights. It would have been better if he had had someone to share it with, some lithe female to slip along him in the warm waters and caress against his body. But it wasn't a lovely little female he encountered in his home, as he took the corner, letting the melting snow drip from the line of his broad belly, he came face to face with another drake.

"Testing the winds?" Torr'Fharia, leader of the Clan, hissed lazily, while he blocked the entrance to Chalkin's home. The sight made the larger drake bristle, his lips curling back from his serrated teeth while the taste of drake lingered on the air.

Torr'Fharia was like every other Torrenzia dragon, light bodied and small, but with broad wings that allowed them to navigate the cold harsh winds that battered the mountains. The clan drakes were all smaller than he was, barely up to his shoulder which should have meant the drake would have backed down being faced by the hybrid, but Fharia raised up his crest aggressively and kept the entrance blocked with his large white wings. If it had been a matter of physically dominating the leader of the clan, he would have easily been able to take control of the entire band, but fighting for leadership was forbidden in this territory. That was one of the reasons the small drake had remained leader, he had secured his spot through two generations. He was older, almost elderly, the edges of his scales going stiff and brittle with age, but no one dared challenge him. How could they? He had created a society to ensure that he couldn't be defeated.

"Torr'Fharia." He inclined his head in an attempt at being respectful. "What brings you from your home on a day such as this?"

"Where were you at, mixed breed?" The clan leader snapped his wings down and narrowed pale blue eyes up at him. Every bit of his body was stiff and aggressive, ready for any excuse to punish or attack. "I sent down the message that the storms started today."

"I enjoy the storms." Chalkin shrugged one wing. "There was good hunting in the valleys, deliciously fat rams." He licked his lips and made a show of stretching his own wings out to show their greater length. He couldn't beat the Clan-Leader with a physical fight, but he could mock the little drake. "If I had known I would have a visitor I would certainly have brought you some in return."

"The storms are going to slacken soon." Fharia snapped his tail against the ground, the thick club like tip rasped along the ground. "The winter cold will start in truth, the bitter killing cold."

"Mmm.." Chalkin lidded his eyes and tried to ignore the disdain in the clan leaders eyes. "So it will, a shame, I will miss the snows when they are gone, but you have little reason to concern yourself with my well being. Not when your own bones must ache in this season."

"I've come to inform you that you will stay clear of the Winter Flight. You are unwelcome." Fharia let out a hissing growl to add menace to his words, ignoring the insult to his age. "You are not of our blood and I will not have a half breed like you standing on the breeding grounds. Do you understand me?"

Chalkin peeled his lips back in a snarl at the venom in the small drake's words, the way that his wings were lifted up to try and make himself look larger. How dare he make such a demand?! He had never been given such a restriction before, though he was well aware that they wouldn't welcome his attendance. Every winter the young unmated females were sent up into the air with the males chasing them for their first mating flight. He had seen dozens of flights in the past, but he had never tried for them. Why would he? If he wished to breed he didn't want to simply be the one that was fastest, he had lovers in plenty from the surrounding clans that were intrigued by his size, though those liaisons had been purely for pleasure, not because the females were in heat. He let out a low growl in his throat, lowering his larger head towards the drake.

"Who are you to tell me I should not stand on the grounds?" He snarled back, showing every one of his teeth, the drake only glared at him in return.

"I am Torr'Fharia! Clan-Leader, and you will obey my word as law unless you wish to be cast out. You are allowed to live here only with my pity." The drake snapped his jaws forward, a violent movement designed to force Chalkin to withdraw. "You will remain grounded, this is a family affair, not for some vagabond squatter."

The dragon snapped his jaws again on the last word, standing up and tried to surge forward to force his way past Chalkin, but the larger drake was too big to allow for him to squeeze by. To get the intruder out of his cave the hybrid was forced to step backwards inch by inch, his tail lashing wildly back and forth as he allowed for the clan-leader to step out into the raging storm. His anger was a dark hot lump in his throat at the way he was being treated, wanting to strike out with a forepaw to pin the small drake and force him to submit. If it had been any other clan in the country he would have done just that, but here it would only end with a near war to drive him out.

As they stepped out, he caught the sound of a howling cry rising up from the lairs nearby, voices rising up in lamentation one after another, eerie howls that made his wings flare open, quivering and trembling as the shrieks of loss made their way in a circle. It had been muffled by his cavern, his own distractions had kept him from paying attention to it, but now it was all too clear. Wings were flared on every point in the mountain ring as the mourning cry shrieked out. Fharia barely flinched when he tilted his head up towards his home cave. The leader shook his wings out, crouching in the falling snow, he didn't lift his voice to join the lamentations.

"You are no longer Clan-Leader." Chalkin hissed out softly and turned his eyes towards the smaller drake. "You cannot ground me from a flight for leadership. Your time is over."

His mate had died, the crying lamentations marked her passing in the heart of the winter storm. This Winter Flight would not simply be the females rising up to take their first mates, it would be for leadership of the Torrenzia itself. The males didn't battle for the right to command, it was the females of the line that allowed them to lead. It was the best way to do it, the north was a brutal climate and claimed many lives as it was, allowing the males to battle for the right to lead, or to mate, was a senseless waste. One of his daughters, a female of the royal line, would take to air with the rest of the dragonesses, and whoever was the one to claim her, breed her, would become bearer the title of Torr. The fresh blood would mingle with the old, a new drake would rise supreme and call his name from the heights. Except, Fharia wouldn't give up that title, not until his death. No matter what the laws commanded.

He had outlived two mates now, his last one had been his daughter, or so Chalkin had been told when he'd first joined the clan. He knew his offspring, he was possessive over his females, breeding them often and refusing to allow other drakes to court them, so that his line was thinning. There was little doubt that he had already picked out what daughter he would claim next to assure his role as the leader of the clan. She would be submissive and quiet, with no spark and had been trained her entire life to allow him to claim her body. She would evade the other males, yes, but not him, never him. She'd all but fly into his embrace, just as he'd trained her to do. Anger rolled through Chalkin's belly as he imagined another poor small clutch from the old leader's failing line.

"You would breed your own daughter simply to hold your title?" Chalkin hissed at Fharia's back, bristling slightly.

"I will not have a half-breed siring the next generation! Mingling with my blood." The small drake snarled the words back at him, venom dripping from his tone. "You will stay grounded or I will see your wings broken! It is your choice, hybrid!"

He launched himself up with a wild flapping of his wings, sending snow hammering down against Chalkin as the large drake watched him lurch through the hammering winds. The threat didn't sting him into fear, it made his stomach flare with a rush of anger. So the old drake thought he could mate his own daughter to protect his title, no one would dare try to get in his way. He had heard the last flight had ended up in two deaths at his claws, despite the fact fighting was forbidden. The old lord was failing, corrupt and tainted, and he was trying to arrange for another regime, another female he could kill by bearing clutch after clutch.

_How dare he even attempt it.. _ Chalkin lashed his tail behind him and narrowed his eyes as the form disappeared into the air.

"Today is your day, my dear." Father trilled softly to Nemia as she fluttered her wings nervously, staring up at the clear dawn sky. "Do not be so nervous, you will be magnificent."

He moved beside her, his familiar warm scent teasing her nostrils so that her wings flared open wide immediately. She had always known that she might one day take her mother's place in the Clan, she had been raised from the time she had cracked her egg that she would be expected to remain away from other males. Her need was burning through her, just like it was burning through many young females. They all came into season in the heart of the winter, though only herself and the other unmated females would be taking to wing for the Winter Flight. They had no mates to seduce them, virgin and fertile, they were ripe to be taken, and light enough to give the males a run for their scales. She shifted and crouched down with her tail lashing back and forth, her wings partially spread.

"There are so many." Nemia's eyes flicked around the gathering. Every unattached male was there, surrounding the dozen females that formed a small circle. Most of the males had eyes only for her, avid and filled with lust that made her heart hammer faster.

"Yes, but you know what to do." He shifted, one large paw touched her side and ran his claws along her scales. "Do not forget."

"Yes, Father." She crooned softly, a flush ran along the line of her muzzle. He stroked her again, making her wings flutter before he stepped away to join the rest of the males.

He had talked to her long into the night, explained that she needed to do this for the good of the clan. The other drakes were so young and weak, if they claimed her flight she'd doom her family, the royal line would weaken and they wouldn't survive the winter. Only Father knew how to keep them together, knew where the best hunting grounds were and what to do to assure that they would make it until the spring. He had chosen her when she was young, for being the most beautiful of her clutch, with her body small and compact, but not white. She was the palest blue imaginable, with frosted scales along her belly and a lean graceful head. He had always praised her for her grace, taught her to fly and how to be swift and daring on the wing. Where as her other siblings had been gifted to a few deserving allies or taken to her father's home, she had remained untouched and virginal. All for today.

She shifted and pranced on all fours, her restlessness growing as the raw male scent filled the air and made her nostrils flare delicately. The other females were just as restless, shifting and spreading their wings, closing them and flaring them again. The sun was so bright overhead that she had to flick her inner eye lids to see, looking from male to male. They would be fast, many of them were older with mates of their own, but were here with the older females blessings. They would be canny, they'd know what to expect when it came a virgin female on the wing, they'd go right for her, but she had to evade them. Her father would go up high, just above the clouds and it was her duty to shoot up as fast as possible, her lighter body would make her faster than any male, and once above the clouds.

Nemia flared her wings and crouched again, her tail lifting upwards to almost flash the soft scaling of her inflamed vent as she did so. The burn and need made her claws sink deeper in the snow while she shifted and lifted her head up higher, staring at the sparse cloud cover. Yes, there, she'd go for the long cloud that was shaped like a finger, it was large enough that her father could use it for cover. Her wings quivered as she kept her belly pressed down against the snow, the cold helping keep the aching fever at bay as she did so. One of the males jerked forward with a growl, and was pushed back by the rest of the hissing clan. All of them were waiting, wanting to possess her, to be the first to claim her, and anger rose up in the back of her throat.

One of the other females let out a hiss, and she followed suit, challenging the drakes as they moved and spread their wings. It was time. As she shifted her weight to her haunches and began to set her tail, a snarl burst out from the crowd, rippling and turning into a roar of rage. It startled her, making her snap her wings down and shove up into the air with a shriek of challenge. Two other females rose with her, wings exploding into motion as she tore up into the sky, fueled by her season and the need to feel the cold air wrapping around her inflamed body. Something dark and sea-green erupted from below her, wings larger than her own took to the sky, followed by her father's aging and scared form. She kept her eyes on him, she knew her duty.

It was easy to spot the female that came from Fharia's bloodlines in the midst of all the ones that were getting ready to take flight. She was lovely, beautiful and slight of body with large graceful wings and smooth curving horns. Her head was tapered with a narrow muzzle and large intelligent eyes, but it was an intelligence that was lost on the male that had sired her. Nemia, he had kept her away from the clan for years, ever since she had come of age, and now was her single day in the sun. The dark sapphire orbs were flicking around frantically, always moving, her wings fluttering as she was so close to taking off. Every unattached male, and several attached males, were already circling the girl and the rest of the females, ready to catch them, including the former clan leader. All of this Chalkin took in as he watched the gathering growing, the excitement building, while he remained perched on an out cropping just above them.

His eyes lingered on Torr'Fharia, the elderly drake wasn't nervous and restless, he was relaxed in the midst of the rest of the males. He knew that he would win, he had it all played out perfectly. He knew the ending, he knew what would happen, smug and close minded, Chalkin bristled and let out a low rumble deep in his throat. As the females began to shift, dropping and crouching, so ready for flight, he flared his own wings open and took a leap down from his perch and the drakes began to shift beneath him. Their heads went up, teeth bared and lips curled up as the hybrid swung his haunches beneath him and lazily back winged to drop down nearly a foot away from the former clan leader. The aging drake let out a brassy bugle of rage, rearing back on his haunches in a defensive posture.

"This is not your flight, half breed!" He remained balanced on his haunches, the eyes flaring with rage. "This is not your Clan."

"Nor is yours." Chalkin pointed out placidly, his eyes remaining on the females as they began to start to get ready to take to the air. "You cannot command any member of the Torrenzia to remain grounded when leadership comes into play. Or did you forget?"

"You are not a member of our people!" The drake snapped again, his wings batting wildly. "You are a half breed, nothing more than-"

The words were cut off as there was a shriek from the gathered dragonesses and a flash of pale blue erupted into the sky. Chalkin's head shifted to follow the dragonesses launching themselves into the air, Nemia in the lead as her wings pumped rapidly. Fharia snarled out and shoved against the large drake's side and awkwardly threw himself into the air after his daughter. He wasn't swift, not after using a precious moment to throw himself against the other drake, but the rest of the males were already up in the air giving chase. And Chalkin launched himself up behind them, not with a scrabbling of his claws and wings, but a leap towards the sky and the crack of his sails catching the air and shoving it down beneath him.

Several of the males were already chasing the other females, their hearts given to those belles, or at least their hopes, but the bulk were hot on Nemia's trail. His eyes were on Fharia as he sped upwards, peeling away from the pack that tried to keep up with the lithe little female, he was going straight for the clouds and the hybrid followed after. He didn't have to make a fool out of himself tailing after the pack, he drove his wings against the cold air, keeping well back of the old male. He counted on the fact that the drake was old, old enough that flying in the cold was starting to tell on him, old enough he would be frantic to just reach his position so he could make his claim, he wouldn't look back. And as long as he didn't, that left Chalkin open to capturing the fertile little queen.

Nemia felt her wings slicing through the cold air, the chill caressed her feverish body and offered her the first relief she had felt in days. She felt light, flushed with energy and need as she slipped along the air currents and heard the males behind her. They called out her, bugling and roaring, their wings making more noise than her own graceful ones. In the air they were no match for a female, they were too heavily scaled and their wings not long enough to maintain the speeds that she did. She flirted with the winds as she swung about, angling higher up and turned her head about to see them struggling. The youngest ones were at the front, just like Father had told her they would be, they were the ones that didn't know how to pace themselves and she needed to defeat them first. Speed was the key, she wanted them to fall back, giving her enough room to angle straight up and into her father's wings.

All around her the air was filled with the sounds of females taking flight, their taunting cries mocking their suitors, though none came near the number that she boasted. A few were already caught, not even putting up a fight as their chosen drakes tangled with them in the air. She taunted those that followed, slipping from thermal to thermal, struggling to keep them as she sped up and used height to her advantage. She didn't just fly straight ahead, she dipped and rose, spiraled and dove to try and make the males work to follow her. One of them, a slightly older drake, and more canny, even managed to drive her down by winging up and stooping like a falcon. Her only defense came by twisting onto her side and back, dropping altitude before raking her claws out with a taunting shriek.

She didn't belong to them. The higher she flew, the faster she went, the more her heart pounded and the blood flowed. It was made to enhance her senses, to bring every part of her fertile body into one driving need, to mate, to be caught and taken. She narrowed her eyes and shrieked out her defiance as two of the males slipped back, too much energy used in the initial attempt to catch her. One by one she forced them back made them drop out as she spiraled and pumped her wings until they burned. They were driven by the rut and desire to possess her and leadership of the clan, she was driven by the need to find a mate worthy of her. And she already knew where he was. As more of the males faltered and dropped back, she let out a shrill scream, taunting them before driving her wings down to arrow up higher towards the clouds.

They were thicker now, several thick clumps had formed just to the horizon and she drove herself to them, gulping down large breaths as she strained upwards. Father would be there, he'd wait for her there, wait until she was far enough away from the rest that he'd have no contest. She had to scramble to get higher, her jaws spread open and tongue lolling out as she sucked in great gasping breaths, trying her best to keep herself away from the males. One tried for her, she felt the scrape of claws against her tail, the grip of a paw before she twisted about, kicking her hind legs wildly. Her shrill scream echoed as the male lunged higher up, his eyes fever bright and she tried to writhe away. As she twisted and flared her wings he nearly dragged her down, just by folding his wings. She drove her wings down, the longer tips battered at him, writhing and struggling to get free. She was not his to catch!

The flight was below him, Chalkin's eyes followed as he slipped into the clouds and felt the moist nimbus surround him and curl around his wings. Fharia was above him, the old bastard had arrowed through the clouds, even now the hybrid could hear the male wheezing for breath in the thin air. It was easy to see what he was doing, he wasn't even going to attempt to chase his daughter, he was just going to wait out the rest of the fools chasing after the female and then swoop in to claim her. He hadn't changed his plans, how could he? He was too old to really fight, especially not someone as large as Chalkin was. He likely assumed that the big drake had gone straight for the girl, and was trusting her training to keep him at bay. It wasn't as if he could really see much through the clouds, he could probably only see glimpses and was so hopeful that she hadn't been caught yet.

Chalkin tilted his head up, seeing the dark flashes of wings circling above him. Would the old drake hold or would he break early to try and outfly the youngsters? He could almost see the nervous energy, the growing distress as Fharia agonized over his choice and what to do. Chalkin could have gone up to challenge the old leader, but that wasn't his plan, he made his home in the clouds. The moisture didn't bother him, his heritage allowed him to enjoy it as it gathered along his crest and trailed down his back. His finned tail flared as he worked through the clouds, dipping, just barely, so he could watch the chase.

Already, two of the females had been caught, the ecstatic cries could be heard as they were twined with their males, squirming and twisting in the powerful grip as they were bred. It was an enticing site, especially as he was able to look over the sky and see the moment they were caught. They lovely moment when they were snared and struggling, their teeth flashed instinctively before they gave into the moment. Their bodies were flashing in the light, their scales nearly metallic as they went beneath the sun and shadows, bright than their male counterparts. Most seemed to already have a male chosen to give themselves too, their token protests merely a formality, but Nemia wasn't giving in to anyone. She was fleeing fast and far, her screams echoing up to him as she taunted the males.

In flight, she was lovely, fast and sure as her wings seemed to know just when the air was going to change and she darted to one side and then the other. She didn't let the males even get close enough to have hope, she didn't slow, she used steep dives to build up speed to shake them off her tail. He had believed he'd see a female that was little more than a drooling infant given an adult form, after all, the former leader's mate had been dim and dull as could be. The few times that he recalled seeing her she had been babbling and silly, not the ideal female, but this one had some spark to her if she was able to shake off the males and challenge them. She had obviously been chosen for her looks by her father, he could only hope that she had some measure of wit about her mark her as something special.

Soon enough, the chase for the little dragoness went straight up, she shot like an arrow towards the sky with her wings frantically working. The males were straggling behind, but most were laboring, they had been led far enough to use up their energy, they wouldn't be able to fight if the old clan leader came down at this point, they'd be over run despite his age. As the dragoness climbed higher Chalkin narrowed his eyes and began to tense up, his crest rising up along his neck as he watched her fleeing for the heights. It didn't take long for the old drake to begin to drop, as soon as she began to climb he heard the labored beat of wings above him. He could have struck the old leader out of the sky with a single claw, but he had no need. He was old and tired, his time was over, as the small drake dove down, the half breed flung his wings back and let out a baritone bugle before dropping, letting his weight drag him to meet his new queen.

Namia saw movement in the clouds above her and her heart leapt to her throat, now, he was going to catch her now. She had been waiting for this day all her life, honed for it, and now her body was on fire for it. Every part of her body was throbbing with need that was driven on by the rapid beating of her heart as she surged towards the clouds. Her father broke through, a flash of pale white and blue, but her glimpse of him was overtaken by a massive form tearing past the older drake. Brilliant blue-green tinged towards white at the wings, the drake that erupted from the clouds wasn't one born to the Torrenzia clan, it was the stranger, the one that lived just outside of their territory near the hot springs. His emerald eyes were focused on her as her father shrieked out in rage and began to beat his wings, tearing down towards her.

The dragoness let out a shallow scream and dropped down, the moment she did one of the drakes beneath her snarled out and lunged. She was trapped between them, the form above her was larger than any drake following her, but the ones below were closer. With a shrill noise she burst forward with a gasp and leveled out, her eyes wide as she saw her father frantically trying to keep up. It was supposed to be him, it had to be him. The drakes behind her scattered as Chalkin dropped and snapped his wings open, she could hear him chasing her, the beat of the large wings as she tried to evade. She was no longer sliding through the air with grace and triumph, she was fleeing with the male with all the strength she could draw.

"LAND DAMN YOU!" Her father's voice echoed towards her and she flicked her head back to see him lunging and trying to strike at the hybrid.

The beast didn't strike back, his strange crest flattened and his wings suddenly slammed down so that he surged forward. He was eating up the distance between them, his reach was longer than her own, and there was no way that she could remain in front of him. Her father attacked him with as much force as a sparrow attaching a crow, and the hybrid just shrugged it off with little more than a snap of his jaws. She had to get higher, she had to get high enough to dive and loop back to her father, once he had her it was over, no one could deny his claim then. She just had to get above the monster chasing her and make sure that she stayed there long enough to be able to evade him.

Her back ached as she tore upwards, her wings beating as fast as she could get them as the change nearly made her dizzy. She clamped her jaws together and sucked in a cool breath, trying to get up into the air, when she heard the rush of air beneath her. She didn't dare look back, she had to keep going, every beat of her wings launched her higher and higher. She set her sights for the clouds as he had before, but now the way was clear, she just had to get to them and then she could drop down to meet her father. Her wings ached, the air was thinner and making her work harder to keep her headway above the larger drake. She was smaller, she could go faster than he could straight up, that was her only hope.

A hope that was taken as suddenly a massive wing cracked out against her, sweeping along her back and driving down while a pair of heavy forepaws snagged her hips. Her wings were fouled with the larger ones as a large form twisted around her. Namia shrieked out in rage, kicking against the strange drake wildly as she attempted to writhe her way free. The hybrid creature didn't let her have that chance, the large forepaws wrapped around her waist and the lower paws clutched her tail and gave a rough pull. The world spun around her as she struggled, they were falling, dropping from the sky as she tried to get away from him, her wings flapped wildly, battering at his head as she hissed up at the strange colored face.

He smelled of salt and sea and male, all of them mingling together in a way that made her body flare hot in his grasp, even as she tried to kick out against his belly. Chalkin' lips peeled back to show his serrated teeth, his muzzle nearly pressing to her own while his wings snapped out and began to pump upwards. His long tail twisted around her own, curling and twining tightly, clamping down so that she couldn't rip it free as he began to lift them higher up. If he had been drake from her clan he would have dropped with her, their combined weight too much, but his size gave him the strength to raise up in the sky has he pinned her. His forepaws wrapped around her, his claws dragged against her scales while his hind legs locked up against her own.

"LET ME GO!" She hissed out violently, she could hear her father's snarls in the distance as Chalkin gaped his jaws open and lunged forward without a word.

Sharp teeth clamped down against her throat and dug in so hard that she could barely breathe, she couldn't escape, couldn't fly, she was caught and bound by the large hybrid. The twisting of their tails suddenly tightened and she was pulled upwards, something hard and stiff pushed against her body, making the heat flare along her lower body. Despite how she wanted to escape, despite her confused anger and fear, her body responded, thousands of years of evolution had trained her to react to the feel of the cock pushing out against her. The length slipped up along the line of her belly, the smear of wetness coating her scales before the thick conical tip pushed roughly upwards and slipped over her inflamed folds, catching against the vent so she shrieked out. She didn't belong to him! It wasn't supposed to be this hybrid beast!

Namia's shrill bugle was strangled sounding as the cock tip roughly pried at her virginal folds, driving into her as the drake twisted in midair, rolling her over so she was helpless on her back. Her wings were useless as his own flared out wide to catch the air beneath them, suspending them as his haunches drove forward. The powerful thrust forced the too large shaft into her vulnerable body, her silken inner walls began to splay open wider and wider, stretching as she writhed and twisted. The aching feel of the ridges slipping into her worked along her inner passage. She clamped down around him, squeezing and contracting as she writhed and twisted, her paws shoving uselessly against his chest as something hot and tacky was flung into her passage, splattering right up against her cervix. Another thrust and the too large girth began to wedge in deeper and the world around them sped by her.

They were dropping, the air caressing her bound form as she snarled up at her captor's face and felt his haunches give a rough drive forward. His teeth dug roughly against her scales, denting them in, tearing at her until she felt the blood welling up around the grip. Her own claws scrabbled at him as he forced his way into her ripe little body, the tip battering right up against her spongy cervix with enough force that her stomach cramped. Every ridge caught along her passage, so large that he had to force himself inwards as the walls rippled and squeezed. No matter her struggle to free herself to get to her father, her body was ready, nerves and sensations she'd never felt sparked through her as hot trails of blood and saliva coated her neck. The drop pushed the beast down harder against her, gravity driving him inwards before he dragged his hips backwards.

He worked himself into her, the strokes began to work in and out, roughly dragging the ridges through her swollen passage, dragging out and spilling out trails of precum mingled with her own heated arousal. The chill of the air around them was barely a relief as the heat built, her body felt tight and swollen, every breath dragged out in a wheeze as the jaws remained locked around her throat. Every time she tried to tear her way free, Chalkin roughly twisted his head about to shake her, his hind legs suddenly shifted and his feet gripped her haunches before bucking down. He drove into her, battering the conical tip roughly against her cervix, digging and grinding before dragging backwards. Every hot splatter of precum was flung out against the tender dilated opening.

The world was spinning around her, they were dropping rapidly, the wind sliding along her back as the drake above her began to hammer harder and faster, forcibly spreading her time and again. His claws sank along her scales as she snarled out roughly, her jaws spread open and her tongue curled as she felt the powerful movements of the haunches. He was too large, her body too small, and still he battered his way into her body, the thrusts growing harder and faster as the ridges pulled out of her with wet popping sounds before plunging forward again. His back arched against her while the wing beat, slowing their descent, but not by much, only enough that he was drawing it out as she tried to jerk her hips backwards.

When she shoved her paws against him, the claws gripped harder and the large half breed twisted around her, tightening and squeezing almost painfully to keep her in place. He drove himself into her body, Namia snarled out roughly as her inner walls spread her painfully open as the ridges were lodged deep within her passage. They caught along her vulnerable body, rubbed her and stroked while the tip suddenly jabbed up roughly right against her cervix, the force wedged against the dilated opening and pried the ring open as far as it would go. The aching feel of being stretched was overwhelmed by the spike of need that flowed through her, her body twisting and curling in midair as they dropped. The wings were beating around her, the ground rushing towards them, but she didn't care, the thickening of the cock pushed those thoughts away.

The grip on her bloodied neck loosened and released her as Chalkin snarled out and gave a final lunge of his hips, the movement wedging him deep enough that her vulnerable egg chamber was opened up to his cock tip. The first gooey spill of cum erupted out of him in a pressured burst, spraying into her belly in a rush that flowed ever deeper. She writhed and twisted, her wings batted wildly to try and escape as millions of sperm rushed to lay claim to her ripe ova. Rope after thick heavy rope was forced into her as they dropped, the drake's haunches twitched and pumped against her, working through her rippling muscles as she shuddered and clamped her jaws shut, writhing between pleasure and horror as she was bred.

For a brief moment, it all stopped, nothing mattered except the throbbing of the ridges that rubbed along her passage, the heat running through her womb. Every pulse, every twitch, her body craved it, needed it, the inflamed passage being coated in the rich male semen. The claws that gripped her tightened, before the wings flared open above her, the snap of them cracking her out of her daze before Chalkin snarled and pushed off her, his paws slipping free while he pumped his wings above her. His ridged cock pulled out with a hot wet sound, tearing out until the last dribble of cum fell back on her in a thick strand as the drake launched himself upwards, abandoning her to scramble to get her wings open before she crashed.

She barely managed get rolled onto her belly before her wings snapped open, the earth was only a hundred feet below her, so close that she didn't even try to pump back up into the sky. Her aching bloodied body protested even spreading her wings open as she awkwardly dropped back down to the coolness of the snow and earth. She was chased down by the monstrous drake that had flown her, the beat of his wings sending up sprays of snow as she stumbled down into a snow bank and dropped to her belly, her tongue lolling out with great shuddering breaths. She was bruised, inside and out, her blood dotted the snow beneath her as it spilled from the bite and claw marks. It wasn't supposed to be like this, her father was supposed to catch her, breed her, not a monstrous hybrid.

"TORR'CHALKIN! TORRENZIA TORR'CHALKIN!!!" Chalkin roared out the traditional name as he stepped over her. He loomed above her, one of his paws dropped down to pin her to the coldness of the snow with his wings mantled.

"You're not of our clan!" Father roared out and Namia opened her eyes to see him standing in front of the gathered clan. "You cannot claim that title!"

The paws curled roughly against her shoulders, and she let out a hiss as the drake moved further over her, his large blue-green head was lowered so that she could only partially see her father in the crowd. Her cheeks burned, humiliated and aching, she was being placed on display for everyone she had ever known.

"I claimed your daughter, your ancient bones couldn't catch her before I did." Chalkin hissed out. "By your laws I claim leadership, do you no longer stand by the old laws? Shall the change in leadership now happen with a battle to the death?"

"You know I will not." Father snapped the words out, his head lowering. "But you are nothing but-"

"I am Torr'Chalkin. From this day, to all days, until my mate passes and my daughter rises. The Torrenzia is bound by our joining and the future of our clutch." Chalkin's words were crooned, his claws ran lightly down along the line of her spine. "To say otherwise is to deny the laws that you yourself placed on this clan."

What answer could the old King give? To answer differently would be his death at the hands of the first drake who wished to take leadership. Through it all, Namia felt her new mate's paw on her back, the agile toes curling along her scales lightly as he caressed her possessively. No matter what she had been raised for, what she had anticipated, she had been claimed. Already, his sperm was pushing and piercing her ripe ova, sparking the first taste of life in her egg chamber. A new royal generation, the first new blood in seventy years.
