Chapter 4 - Eurasia's Day Off, Trouble in Paradise!

Before this story starts, I would like to thank my good friend Jack and Noct. If it wasnt for him, this story wouldnt have happened. Also, all characters here are copyright of Eurasia21xx. Do not use in your stories without consulting me first.
The peace talks went as planned and there was a huge celebration to commemorate the start of a new era between humans and dragons. There were those who were skeptical about it, but peace is hoped to be restored like it was in the past. One week has passed since then. Firon was given a gold medal for his good work by Stanislavsky, while Zero, DarkStar, and I were also given medals for our job well done. In addition to the medals, the time finally came to revisit our homes back in Dimension number 1. Where the humans closest to dragoons reside, on a planet named earth. We promised to meet up after we returned from meeting our parents.
I stared at the house where I lived before leaving to become a dragoon. "I hope my room hasn't been changed too much since then.", I thought. The front lawn was filled with flowers, just like back when I was still young. I had many fond memories here growing up....

"Here it comes Zero, catch the ball!", I yelled. I tossed the baseball towards him, but DarkStar intercepted it. "With an arm that weak Eurasia, you'll never make the team!", he joked. I laughed, "Hahah, well thats why I don't try out for the team, I leave that to you." Zero then tackled DarkStar and took the ball, "You have to be on guard at all times man! Snatchies!." DarkStar then got up and went for the ball. "Uh Oh! Eurasia! Catch!", he yelled. Before he got taken down, he tossed the ball towards me. "Nice throw!", DarkStar headed after me. "Whoa!", I yelled before I got taken down as well. We all laughed together that whole day, playing around.
Those were the good old days, playing around without a care in the world. I entered in, expecting to see the smiling face of my mother, who took care of me all my life. It was a bit quiet as I walked towards the kitchen. "Mom! Are you here? Mom!", I yelled. There was no answer. Suddenly, something caught the corner of my eye.
It seemed to be a note in her handwriting. "Son, I am sorry that I could not be here today to welcome you back, your grandmother was in a bad accident recently and I left to be by her side. I hope you understand. Also, I got you something for your 20 years of good work. I left it in your room and I hope you like it. Also, there is some food left on the stove, help yourself. I still miss your brother, may he rest his soul. Stay strong, Your Mother."
I felt a bit bad that she wouldn't be here on the only day I can see her until next year, but I felt good that she went to help out another family member. I wondered on my mind on how to explain that Abyssion isn't really dead, but I'd better not tell her for the time being. I looked for the meal and saw that it was a pie of pizza. I swiped the whole thing, ate the 5 slices that were in the box and walked upstairs to my room. On the upper floor, I headed for my room to see what was given to me. I passed by the room of my formally dead brother on the way, there as nothing changed since then. The funtendo box system was still connected to the television, but they were both covered in dust. It reminded me of the good times we had...
23 years earlier...
"Come on! Admit it, you cheated that game!.", I cried. He just stood there, proud of his victory over me. "You know I don't cheat! I won fair and square. Remember, you can get better by losing. No one who's the best started undefeated.", he calmly told me. We were playing a popular game at the time, Uber Crash Cousins, a fighting classics that had the greatest video game heroes. I started to calm down. "You are right, I always get mad when you beat me. That makes like 100 wins for you and 100 losses for me. I'll get you this time!" He smiled at my enthusiasm, "Thats the spirit! Prepare for another butt whooping!" I continued trying to beat him but I lost yet again...
The game system we played is what brought us together most of the time. I continued walking as I reached the door to my room. Everything was neatly folded but my stuff have been moved since last year I was here. I looked in and found another note on my bed. Again, it was from mother, "About your present, It was too big to put in your room so I had to leave it in the attic. Its a box that has another note on it. Sorry about the trouble. Stay strong, Your Mother."
I walked towards the attic, wondering what could be be that big. I pulled down the ladder that leads farther up. I climbed up and entered the dark attic. "Damn it, its pitch black here. I forgot that there aren't any lights up here and the windows were boarded up.", I said to myself. I powered up and brightened the room with my spirit's light. I looked around and walked by the knickknacks that filled the dust covered room. After some searching, I found a box with another note on it. "Here it is son, this box contains the journal of your father. I know I told you that your father passed away, but I never told you that he left this behind. I never read it myself since he told me not to, but he did say to give it to you when you were old enough. I hope you can forgive me for keeping this a secret but It was his dying wish. Take care and Stay Strong, Your Mother."
I was surprised at this new event, something about my father. Mother never really talked much about him, so I did not give it much thought. I opened the box and found a journal that looked ancient, really ancient. It was big, filled with about one thousand pages of text. I took it out and dusted it off. "This is quite a journal! I wonder whats in it?" I was about to open the cover but before I could, I felt something weird. Something within wanted me to not read it. I then decided that it was better to read it later, when I go back to headquarters.
I took the book with me and went back downstairs towards the kitchen. I took a piece of paper and wrote my own note for my mother to read when she comes back, "Thank you for that Mother, but don't worry about me being angry. I'll be ok, just keep up the good work. From your Son, Eurasia." A simple letter, yet said more than enough. With her not here, I decided to return early. I took out my P.I.C. and activated the Transdimensional Gateway. The house started to shake as the portal warmed up. In a bright flash, the gateway opened. Before I entered, I gave a salute to house, "Farewell old friend, see you next year.." I entered and the vortex closed up.
In another flash, I arrived back at D.O.O.P., in front of the Grand Transdimensional Gateway. Noc, Firon, and Stanis were talking close by, so I decided to have a chat with them. "Yo guys! What are you doing here? I thought you all would be busy." They saluted at me, while Noc stepped forward. "Well, as you know, today is that one day off for all dragoons, so that includes us." Firon then stepped forward, "Of course, did you think I would be off for peace meetings all the time? We all need a day of rest, and this is the day. Also, why aren't you enjoying your day with your family?"
I looked down, saddened. "Well, my mother was not home, she had to take care of grandmother due to an accident she was recently in. So there was nothing I could do."
Stanis looked worried after my answer. "Thats no good Eurasia, Today is supposed to be a free day for you. How about you spend rest of the day in the Paradise Dimension, also known as number 146554?"
I almost fainted, that dimension was considered one of the best works by dragoons. It has been in peace since the end of the great war. It was the most beautiful place where dragons and humans live in harmony.
"Wow! That would be great! When can I leave?", I asked with anxiousness.
He started punching in the coordinates, "Anytime you feel that you are ready. I'll get it ready for you."
I ran to my cabin and changed into a pair of shorts and a short sleeve shirt, just for the occasion. I grabbed my P.I.C. as well, out of habit. I then ran back to the gateway, leaving a gust of wind behind me. "I'm ready now! Thanks Stanis, I really appreciate it."
He smirked, "Heh, don't mention it. Just have a good time, you deserve it after your last mission." The gateway opened with a loud flash, crackling while it remained open. I waved goodbye and walked into the vortex.
In another flash, I arrived at what seemed to be a serine beach. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by a crowd of humans and dragons, but one thing seemed different about the dragons. The dragons looked much bigger and stood on all fours with huge wingspans. They stood at about eight feet on all fours, but they had to be at least twenty feet in length. They all seemed to be shocked that I just appeared. I suddenly heard someone scream something. "Its just a dragoon, nothing to see here people." Then a large dragon started walking towards me as the crowd slowly broke apart, standing a bit smaller than the others at about seven feet and having a length of about 18 feet.
"Don't mind them, Its rare to see a dragoon here nowadays since peace rained throughout the land, so this is a huge thing."
It took me a second, but I realized that this dragon was female, a dragoness but none I've ever seen before. I do remember about reading about something like this, that there are many kinds of dragons. Those that walk on two legs and the four legged kinds, but this is my first encounter with a four legged one.
"Oh, well that makes sense. I've never seen a dragon like you, one that walks on four legs."
She looked at herself for a second, "Oh, well thats understandable. This dimension has been left intact so the dragons here have retained their original form. Most dragons in the other dimensions have evolved over time to meet with the changes of their world. Also, my name is Hamelis, glad to meet you honorable dragoon."
I blushed, even though I'm used to compliments, "Heh, thanks. My name is Eurasia, dragoon of fire. Likewise to make your acquaintance." I bowed.
"How about I show you around, I take it you have never been here before?", she asked.
I looked around and I recognized nothing in this world. I was better off having a tour by someone who has the knowledge of the area. "I would appreciate that Hamelis, thank you."
She lowered her body down towards me, "Hop on, I'll fly you around."
I walked towards here and climbed on, being careful of her wondrous wings. She stretched them out and took off with enough force to make me hang on tightly. I looked down as the ground seemed to get smaller, with the eyes of the locals staring up. I wasn't used to flying, since I run all the time to get around. "Whoa, we really are high up...", I mumbled.
"Yea, I love to fly high.", she said. Then she looked at my worried face, "Are you ok? You look a bit afraid.", she asked with
"A bit, you see I'm not used to flying I usually run on the ground at high speeds. Heights get me a bit nervous.", I replied.
She smiled, "Well don't worry too much, I'll make sure that you stay safe. Look down there, thats the town where the great hero from the war lived."
I looked down and saw a huge town, much bigger than most I've seen. "Wow! Thats incredible!", I replied in amazement. The town seemed to be a bit futuristic, yet still holds the fundamentals of past architecture. She started to come in for a landing in an open field by the town. Before she landed I decided to have some fun.
I jumped off about one hundred feet before landing. "What are you doing Eurasia?!", she cried. I gave her a thumbs ups while in free fall, "Don't worry, I want to show you something!", I yelled.
As I fell, I felt my body accelerating faster and faster towards the ground. As the last minute, I got into position and landed perfectly. The ground below me shifted as I landed soft enough to not break the ground, but hard enough to cause a shock wave. "Yes! It worked exactly as told them. You are able to land hard yet to not destroy the ground around you.", I thought proudly.
Hamelis came down, stirring up a gust of wind as she landed. "Wow, that was interesting. But you scared me half to death!", she yelled. I felt a bit bad about freighting her, "Sorry, but I had to test that out. I wanted to prove that its possible to land with incredible force, but also to keep the land intact."
She did not seemed pleased regardless. "Well, lets go into the town so you can look around.", she said while walking towards the town. I followed behind, but something then popped into my mind. "Hamelis, could you tell me the name of this town?"
She stopped and looked back. "Sure, its called Urtopia, named after the great hero himself."
"Urtopia? Cool", I replied. I wondered what kind of town it would be, since a great hero lived here. When we entered the gates, the sight was magnificent! The buildings looked old fashioned, but they were made of the strongest materials around. The dragons and humans here really did live and unison. I felt proud to see how life was for everyone here. I learned much about the town, how they always help each other out when they are in trouble, or when something happens, they comfort each other.
After an hour later of touring the town, We started to leave, leaving at the gate from where we entered, "Wow, that town was terrific! Glad to see everyone's lives going great. Where to next?", I asked.
She ran up in front of me, "Let me take you back to the beach, you can relax there for the rest of your stay.", she said while kneeling down.
"Cool, but how about a race back? I'll run, while you fly. How about it?", I asked with confidence. She thought about it for a moment. "Interesting... Ok, your on! But just to warn you, I fly fast.", she replied.
"Wouldn't have it any other way! You hover up so we can start evenly"
She started flapping her wings, and hovered above me. "On the count of three, ok?", I said. She nodded and prepared herself. "Three, two, one... GO!"
I ran hard from the start, gaining a slight lead. I left a trail of dust and a gust of wind behind me as everything sped by me. I started coming up to a forest which started to slow me down a bit as I had to dodge the trees. I managed to swerve by everything until I ran face first into a large pine, knocking it in two.
"OW! That hurt...", I shouted in pain. I quickly remembered that I was in a race. She blew past me, screaming, "You ok?! We'll talk the finish line!..."
I got up and jumped over the forest and continued running. I was not closing in, so I had to run faster. I started to move at twice the speed I was running before, literally tearing up the ground. As I caught up, I winked at her and passed ahead. I looked back and she seemed to have a small smirk across her snout.
I couldn't believe what happened next. A huge boom blasted behind her, a sonic boom. It blew me forward as she started coming faster than the speed of sound. She zoomed right past me, with a wall of dust following her. She soon landed on the beach, with everyone wondering what was that huge boom. She looked back to see where I was. "Hmmm, maybe I went to fast... I don't see him anything.", she said to herself.
"Wow, that fast! Good thing I hung on to you!", a voice said. She lowered her neck to her stomach and saw me there. "Hello!", I greeted. I got off and crawled away from under her. She looked a bit surprised, "When did you do that? I didn't notice you latching on to my underside.", she asked.
Well, before you flew past me, I quickly jumped up and latched on, but I did it with the up most caution as not to arouse suspicion. I guess it worked. But you are fast! You made a sonic boom and everything!", I complimented.
She blushed, "Well, all dragons here can do that, but you are also fast. I've never seen anything run at those speeds. Well, relax here for the day, I have to go."
"Sure, thanks for everyth--", but something interrupted me. A huge quake suddenly rocked the area. Everyone started to panic, screaming over this weird event. Something huge headed towards Hamelis, "WATCH OUT!", I yelled!
A boulder headed right towards her. I quickly powered up and sliced the boulder in two, saving her.
She was petrified with fear, "What was that!? Thank you Eurasia for saving my life!". She then nuzzled my cheek as payment.
"Heh, no problem.", I replied. I yelled to everyone, "Evacuate the area! I repeat, everyone evacuate the area!" I then see the dragons giving the humans rides, and carrying them off to safety.
"You too, leave the area! Its going to be dangerous, and as a dragoon, its my duty to protect you all.", I told Hamelis.
"Be careful please...", she said before flying off. With everyone gone, I focused on the problem at hand. I tried to find the source of that rock, but nothing came up. A huge power came up suddenly from behind. Another boulder came right for me, about three times bigger. "Crap! SONIC BOOM!", I yelled while swinging my sword. The boulder nearly got to me if I didn't react fast enough. I heard laughing in the distance, faint but close.
The ground started to shake again, but not as strong. This time felt like something was rising from the ground. The floor under me began to split apart, so I jumped away to a safe area. I peered into the hole to see someone rising. It was hard to see who it was but wouldn't matter. Whoever it was, I could feel an evil presence radiating from him.
The mysterious person jumped from the hole. I noticed that he too was a dragoon, but with a dark brown spirit. "Damn, not another one... I just got off fighting with Falcon...", I thought. The ground closed up as I stared down my new enemy. He looked formidable, indeed a dragoon with experience. He started chuckling, "Yo! So you must be this Eurasia I've been hearing about. Glad to meet you!"
I started to get confused, why would my enemy greet me in such a good mannered fashion. "Uh, yea. I'm Eurasia, but who are you? How do you know my name?", I asked. He started laughing hard, "Haha, well, if you must know, I'm Omega! Remember that!", he yelled.
"Omega? Never heard of you. What do you want from me?!", I shouted with anger.
"Yo, chill. Just wanted to talk. So, I guess you saw that boulder that I threw at you, right?"
"You mean you threw that huge rock that almost crushed Hamelis and I?", I asked.
"Yes, just for a test to see if you were good enough. You were "boulder" than I expected.", he replied. The he started cracking up at his own joke.
I tried to keep a straight face, but the stupidity of the joke made it hard to do so. "Wow, well we had our chat, now leave here. You caused too much trouble around here."
He started laughing again, "Man, you crack me up so much Eurasia! Don't you understand what I meant by "chat"? I'm here to get rid of you because you are in the way."
I started to understand, "Damn it, fine! I accept your challenge!" The land started to shiver under the intense amount of power building within the area. I felt his tremendous power, was nothing like I ever felt before.
"I have no chance of beating him... His power is just too great", I thought in fear. His power was even greater than that of Abyssion. His power felt cold and empty, made me shiver in fear. Regardless, I couldn't back down from this fight. I ran up to him to make the first strike. I unsheathed my sword and swung with an enormous amount of force.
He stuck his hand out and grabbed the sword in mid strike. I was paralyzed, overwhelmed by his awesome power. "I thought you would try to run away... I guess I overestimated your intelligence."
As he grabbed me and slammed me into the ground I tried to rise but before I could Omega had another boulder in his grasp. A smirk spread across his face as he laughed, "Time to get stoned Eurasia!". I looked up only to see him bringing the boulder down on me. I was plowed into the ground again.
I heard his annoying laughter glued into my ears. I bursted out of the ground and went on the offensive. "Don't think you got me yet! SONIC BOOM!", I yelled while swinging my sword.
The wave of energy engulfed him, then exploded. That ensured that it was a direct hit. As the dust cleared, I awaited to see if he was damaged in anyway. I heard his footsteps from beyond the cloud of debris.
"Phew, if that would've hit me, I'd be in pain.", he commented. When the dust cleared he seemed to have some type of shield made of rock. "What?! How did you block my attack with a piece of rock?!", I yelled.
"You should look closer at what this "rock" is. This is the elemental shield, made from the strongest elements found from the ground itself. Its almost indestructible."
I started to charge up for my next attack, but he started to go on the offensive. He grabbed a chuck of rock from the ground and formed a sword out of it. I was on guard for anything that might happen. "Eurasia, meet my Rock sword, made from the same materials as my shield. Prepared to have your world rocked Eurasia!"
"Damn it, you are so corny!", I yelled.
He lunged forwarded and took at swipe at me. I managed to block the hit, but the sword was incredibly hard and knocked me away easily. I regained my composure but then he attacked from above. I held out my sword to deflect the hit, but the force was so powerful, the ground below me was completely destroyed as I forced to my knees. My sword was the only thing holding me up as a crater was formed around me.
He jumped back in amusement as he saw the look of anguish on my face. "Still standing huh? At least you are at ground level. My next attack is sure to bring you down to Earth, Eurasia!"
I managed to stand back up, but he was already powering up for his next attack. I jumped out and prepared myself for what is to come. He dug his sword into the ground and made it shine around him. The ground started to move and shake. It started to collapse from under, going into the earth its self. I jumped up to avoid getting sucked under.
Then there was a blinding explosion. I started to fall back down to earth, still blinded by the light. It started to fade before I hit the ground. As I landed, my sight returned as I saw Omega still standing. Nothing seemed different about the environment, but Omega looked exhausted.
He was panting quite rapidly, as if his energy was drained. "Phew, that took a lot to pull off...", he mumbled. He started snickering, "Eurasia... its time for the fun to begin."
I heard something walking behind me. I quickly turned to see a familiar face. It was Omega behind me. "What the?! How can you be standing over here, if you are over there?", I asked. The other Omega did not respond. I then heard something start falling from the sky followed by a large shadow. I quickly moved out of the way but the dopple Omega stabbed me through my chest.
"Uhhh...", I moaned as I felt the blade of rock rip through my ribs, and tear apart my lung. The blood rushing out from the wound, leaking into the insides of my body and outside on to the ground. He held my body high into the ground. The real Omega started walking towards me, "Well, well. How the mighty have fallen. I thought you would put up a real fight. For Abyssion's brother, you are pathetic. Also, I bet you are wondering how there are more than me. These handsome devils are copies, from my greatest technique, DIRT CLONE! They are equal to me in every way, made from the earth itself. The stronger the minerals, the tougher they are."
I was suddenly tossed away like an old rag doll, bouncing off the ground before coming to a complete stop. I felt myself being engulfed by darkness at the severe blood loss started to take effect. I stumbled to get back up, but the pain made it almost impossible. When I finally stood up, Omega looked dismayed.
"What? How can you still be standing!? Oh well, I'll fix that, clones get him!", he ordered. Before they could come at me, a flash of magical energy fluxed behind me. The energy looked like a gateway was opening. In another flash, two figures emerged.
It turns out Zero and DarkStar have arrived. They spotted me and went to my aid. "Eurasia! What happened to you?!", Zero asked.
I was holding on tightly to my chest, "It was him, Omega.", I faintly replied. DarkStar took a look at them, "Which one? They all look the same. I feel a faint power from middle one and nothing from the ones on the sides. His power seems weak.", he said.
I slowly nodded, "Yea, the middle one is the real one but the ones at the sides are copies. They are really strong."
They both started to power up, darkening the skies. Omega looked a bit annoyed at the arrival of my two friends. "Damn it, this wasn't part of the plan... Oh well, I'll kill them all together! Clones attack!", he yelled.
The dopples listened without hesitation and headed right towards us. Zero and DarkStar took point and fought them head on. While they fought against them, I decided to help out. I started charging for the Blazing Inferno once more. An aura of fire enveloped around me, powering me up. The pain disappeared, but it was only temporary.
"I have to be brief, Omega seems weak at the moment so I'll take him on.", I thought. Zero and DarkStar were having trouble fighting the dopples and getting beat up little by little. I had to act quickly before the strain on my body becomes too great and destroys me.
I lunged at him to make a hit. He pulled up his shield and blocked, but I managed to easily knock him away. I heard a crash from behind me. Zero was hit down and the dopple was going for the kill. "Zero!", I yelled.
I sped quickly to aid my ally. I impaled the dopple from behind, reducing him back to dirt. "I guess he went to "pieces" on me.", I joked. As I helped Zero up, he stared at me. "Eurasia, don't do stand up ok?", he joked. We then focused to aid DarkStar. Zero and I sneaked up behind the dopple and held him in place. DarkStar used his Shuriken Blizzard Swarm and reduced the other dopple to dirt. We got together and stood in front of the real Omega and planned to attack.
"Guys follow my lead! DarkStar, freeze him!", I shouted. He charged up his katana and swung towards Omega, "FREEZING MIST!", and launched a wave of air that froze everything in its path. Omega held out his shield and blocked it but got his shield frozen.
"Did you think that a little cold air could stop me?! Take this!", he shouted while grabbing the ground and pulling up another boulder. "Zero, push him back!", I ordered. He nodded and swung his tengu sword, "HAWK WAVE!", he yelled while blowing a gust of wind.
It blew Omega back while shattering his shield and the boulder he held. He was furious at the damage we had done to him. "You....YOU! I'm going to kill you all!"
We stood our grounds, preparing for the worst. He started to lunge, but then something came down from the sky, balls of purple fire rained down. We separated and dodged each ball of fire. After a few minutes, they stopped falling. "What was that?!", I cried. A figure then fell from the sky and in front of Omega.
"We meet again... So good to see your smiling face again, little brother."
We all awed at the new threat, Abyssion. "Save it, you are no brother of mine.", I replied. We decided to stand our ground and to not make any stupid moves. He turned to Omega and started speaking to him. "What are you doing?! We have our orders, why are you trying to kill my brother?", he asked.
"Well, I just wanted to test his power, thats all. He seemed as powerful as I thought. He is indeed no threat to us, but all three of them combined might be a bother."
The three of us were exhausted, if they attacked us, we would be killed in no time with their furious powers. My Burning Inferno was at the breaking point, and Zero was also almost drained. DarkStar seemed like the only one who seemed to still have enough energy to continue. I still did not understand how Abyssion knew this guy.
"Abyssion! Why did you come here?!"
He looked at me with a smirk on his face. "Nothing really, just came to check up on my good friend. He seems to have wondered into you, something that I can't allow." He then grabbed his P.I.C. and opened a gateway. "Let's go, "he" has summoned you. Thats why I was sent me to get you."
Omega started walking towards the portal, "I have tested your worth today Eurasia, Zero, and DarkStar. You have no chance to stop us. We will meet again, until then...", he didn't finish his sentence and walked right in. Abyssion followed behind and gave an evil smile, "Have fun Eurasia, and don't die. You are too important to die now..." He then exited into the vortex.
We all breathed a sigh of relief, "Man, what a stroke of luck... We were in no condition to continue fight--", but before I could finish, the pain from the wound given to me started to take its toll.
"Eurasia!", Zero yelled. He took out his P.I.C. and started activating something. "I'll get the special stuff for instant relief." Suddenly, a green beam of light shot out, and materialized a box with the first aid mark on it. He opened it and revealed a can with the letters "F.A.I.R.S." on it. "Is that what I think it is? The First Aid Instant Recovery System!", I mumbled. It was a special mixture of the strongest healing magics in liquid form. Drinking it would instantly heal any wound.
Zero handed it to me to drink it so my body would be restored. I took a sip and felt my body being repaired, the blood level rising back to safe levels, my lung and ribs being restored and my energy returning. It tasted like saltwater but it was worth it. In moments, my power returned and my body was back to its original form. They also had a drink of the F.A.I.R.S. and was instantly healed.
"Thanks guys, I was in a tight spot there. Why are you here anyway?", I curiously asked.
DarkStar took out his P.I.C., "Well, remember when we promised to meet up after meeting up with our parents? Well, after we finished, Noc told us that you went away to the Paradise Dimension and offered us to join in. We took the offer, and here we are." He then started up the Transdimensional Gateway, "Well, we have to go and report to Stanis. You enjoy your stay here."
