#2 of Two Halves of the Same Whole

Once again, you can read Tattersol's perspective on his profile.

Ugh... What the hell was that about? I looked around the new room I was in, and noticed different Pokemon posters put up on the wall. I sat up in the bed I was in and looked around the room and immediately noticed the same Lucario sprawled out on a bed next to mine. Then it hit me. I slowly reached up and touched my face, and was instantly reminded that he put me here.

Yeah I was a little pissed off, but it was totally my fault I grabbed him like that. Plus someone had to of brought me here, and since he is here as well...

It took me a few seconds to realize it, but the only logical explanation here was him knocking me out, and then bringing me here. No idea why he would attack me, but care enough to make sure I was in safe hands.

Still though, that doesn't explain why he is here as well. Well not gonna learn anything sitting around all day, I climbed out of the bed and slowly made my way towards the Lucario. I slowly lifted my hands to wake the sleeping devil, but I was practically trembling.

But before I had time to change my mind, my fingers already connected with the fur on his chest.

Just as I feared, he opened his eyes, and focused them on me. He seemed rather pissed off, but I didn't see the murderous intent. He even flashed a small smile which caught me off guard. But like before he took off heading out of the building.

Come on, at least tell me why you keep running? I chased after him and ended up nearly running him over. I looked past him and noticed several people standing in front of him flaunting pokeballs. Ah crap, this isn't good.

I once again had to take a step out of my comfort zone by grabbing him once again. "Alright everybody calm down he's already mine, nothing to claim here." I nervously laughed, while practically dragging the Lucario away from the center of attention. Luckily no one followed us.

He finally spoke to me, "I'm sorry I did this to you, and you're still trying to help me?"

I let him go and mustered up the courage to reply, "well I didn't want you to get captured, and plus you cared enough to get me some help."

I looked at him for at least a minute waiting for him to reply, but to my surprise he fell to his knees and buried his face into the dirt. He cried out, "I'm worthless! I couldn't even defend those I loved! And all I had to do was leave a scratch on a human!? That's all it would have taken to protect my family!?"

I slowly crouched down to the ground and lifted his head up. His face was covered with dirt and wet with tears. smiled warmly, and quickly wiped his face clean before I spoke. "Hey buddy, It's all okay now." I felt my voice starting to shake, I've never seen a creature in so much peril. I picked him up off of the ground and wrapped my arms around him, attempting to be as comforting as possible.

"Yeah you may of scratched my face up, but you also made sure I was alright."

I looked him right in the eye and finished with, "I'm sorry for what happened, and I'll stop chasing you down."

He returned my glare and said, "No, I'll come with you. It's the least I can do. Besides, you said yourself that I'm in no condition to be on my own."

And then, out of no where, a pokeball flew past my head and hit the Lucario square in the head. One second he was in my arms as a solid being, next he was scattered into light being sucked into the tiny pokeball.

I jumped up to my feet and quickly faced the trainer. I screamed out, "what the hell is wrong with you!"

He just laughed and said, "sorry lady, a Lucario is a pretty rare find, no way I'm gonna let you get in my way."

Oh man did I want to beat the day lights out of him, but that wouldn't of helped anything.

Why can't something just go right for once? I mean can I really not keep a freaking pokemon safe for longer than five seconds? Well look at me now, standing still doing nothing...

I took a deep breath trying to keep my composure, but tears started to stream down my face as I stared at the pokeball wiggling on the ground.

Come on, just keep fighting it, don't let this guy take you away!

Just as I thought all hope of ever seeing him again was lost, light suddenly shot out of the ball, and the Lucario was standing back on two legs with the Pokeball in his paw. He started to limp towards the trainer, and with clear anger in his voice he yelled out, "you will not leave this place standing human! You dared to step out of your set boundaries by trying to enslave me!"

I sat and watched as the Lucario reached the man and threw him into the air. He landed on the ground with a loud thud, but the Lucario didn't stop there. He pulled the man back up to his feet and prepared to connect his fist with the man.

Oh god he's gonna kill him! I sprinted after him and quickly grabbed the Lucario's arm and yanked it back using my entire body to force him to stop.

The trainer took this time and bolted off in the opposite direction.

I still had tears in my eye, and hell, I was pretty terrified too.

"You're better than that!"

I let go of his arm, and stood my ground. My voice was a bit shaky but I still squeaked out, "you're better than that."

His voice boomed out, ""LET ME GO! HE STOLE MY PARENTS IN THEIR SLEEP! HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM A CHANCE!" His voice died down a little bit, "he... sold them as slaves..."

I was still slightly afraid, but his anger wasn't fully directed towards me. "I..."

Screw it. I moved in, and gave him a rather tight hug, positioning myself from getting stabbed from his chest spike.

I whispered into his ear, "your parents wouldn't of wanted you to murder him, and I definitely didn't want you to."

He returned my embrace with tears in his eyes.

ah man what am I gonna do with you?

"I... I need to stay with you... If you will let me after all I've done..." His voice was rather shaky, like he was fighting back the tears, "I don't know what to do in the world."

I basked in the warmth of his fur, surprised that a Lucario was showing such a diverse range of emotion. I eventually spoke up, "trust me, I won't ever put you in a Pokeball. Hell, I don't even own one. So if you stay with me, you will be completely free to do as you wish."

I yawned, considering I haven't really slept in almost two days. "Hey I really need to head home, you wanna come?"

He nodded his head, and we headed off together.

I looked to the sky and noticed it was already setting in the west. Has it really been that long?

But luckily for my tired legs, my house was located only two blocks away from the pokecenter. We didn't really converse during our walk, instead, the silence spoke enough.

As my house drew closer one thought popped up in my mind, I was walking a Pokemon home, not carrying one in my pocket. And that alone made me smile, knowing that I at least gave the Lucario a more comfortable environment.

We reached the house and I quickly unlocked the door and opened it up slightly, and turned to face the Lucario.

He returned my vision and I saw a sense of rejectment in his eyes. I took a small step into the house and said, "I know It's not much, but welcome home anyways." I flicked the light switch on, lighting up the entire room. "Oh yeah, I never asked but do you have a name?"

He replied rather solemnly, "I don't any longer. My name left the day my parents were taken. My pride and honor with it. I know it is traditional for all humans to have names."

I cheerfully replied, "my name is Maggie." I took a step into the kitchen, and started to pour a glass of water.

"Well what should I call you then?"

"Lugio, you can call me Lugio."
