It had been two decades since the inhabitants of the Animalia system had landed on earth. They had picked up on the messages sent out by SETI and by the various probes sent out by NASA. Their arrival upon earth had been met with fear, but also curiosity. The governments welcomed them, and millions on them migrated to earth upon an invite. Similarly, using the Lupine technology, many humans emigrated to the planets in the Animalia system. The wolves of the Lupis planets were very benevolent, selflessly sharing their technology with the humans. The lupine scientists had pioneered the use of quantum mechanics and use of black holes to travel vast distances through space, and they shared this with the humans. Since then, humans have been found at the far corners of the universe. There wasn't only wolves; there was feline, equine, bovine, even reptilian; they all hailed from a different planets within the Animalia system. However, over time, they had gone to different planets within the system looking for jobs, and love, and all manner of different things. All of the animals took the anniversary of what they called "The Uniting" very very seriously. Captain Payne is somewhat of a loveable rogue, but maned wolves like him are quick to anger. Captain Payne is about to wake up from the previous night's celebrations. Payne and his crew can't hold their alcohol.
Harper's booted foot slid from the console upon which he was resting it, and hit the floor with a loud 'thunk'. Harper jumped up, his hand going for the Tesla gun on his belt. Then the headache hit him. "Oh mother of all things furry, my head." He staggered from the chair he'd slept upon, took a few steps and fell. The impact winded him, and he crawled the rest of the way to the high speed lifts. "I hope Felicity has something for this, I wanna curl into a ball and die, it hurts so bad" He stood while in the lift, and vomited, the bile and stuff splashing his boots and combats. After a few rather agonising minutes, he made it to the sickbay.
Harper struggled to maintain his balance, and walked into the sickbay, calling out feebly for the medic, Felicity Goodwin, a young mare with a fine figure, and a good bedside manner. "Harper, I'm surprised you could even walk, with the amount you drank last night. Here's some analgesic for your head, and something to settle your stomach" She smiled and walked away. Also in the sickbay were the head engineer; a slinky vixen with flowing red fur, named Lt Davina Logan, looking the worse for wear, and the ship's tactical officer Sgt Shadow Mullins, a black panther, unconscious, his toned and topless body moving up and down slowly, his black fur glistening in the subdued light of the sickbay. Harper spoke "Morning Davina, what happened to Mullins? Too much booze? Yeah, I thought as much. Are you ok?" She nodded "Ok then, get some breakfast, and I'll see you in my ready room in a little while."
Harper's voice resounded over the ship's PA system "Good morning my furry friends, please make your way to my ready room within the next ten minutes. If you are not here by then, I will personally go to your quarters and wake you up with some cold water." Heeding the captains warning, they all arrived in the ready room inside ten minutes. They sat at an oval shaped table, Harper's chair at the top. He surveyed the animals in front of him. To his left were Mullins, Felicity, and the security officer, Lt Bryan Driver; a hulk of a bull, but a gentle soul when he needed to be. On his right was his first mate; a well built and toned tiger named Cmdr William "Will" Swift, Davina and the other engineer; a quiet arctic wolf with a lean physique, named Sgt James Roberts.
He addressed them "Good morning all, bright eyed and bushy tailed, I see" This was met with mutinous looks. "Now, as you know, we have been tailing a rogue human vessel, The Fortuna, and it is our duty to fulfil the bounty. I was speaking to our contractor a few minutes before you arrived, and she wants the head of The Fortuna's captain on a plate. I intend to have his head on said plate in three days. Which leads me on to more important things: James, Davina, have you finished adapting the cloaking device that the equines gave us?" They nod in assention. "And, the adaptive hull armour and shield technology Shadow so generously 'acquired' from home?" They nodded again, and Harper winked at Shadow, who was smiling. "Now Shadow, are the new Ytterbium particle beams online, and calibrated?" Shadow said yes. "Now, that's that, the last known whereabouts of the Fortuna is near the Crab Nebula, at full warp it will takes us three days to track them. It is up to you, you can go into stasis or take some leave for the three days. I am going to while most of it away in the Holo-deck. Oh, by the way, as regard the hangover I had this morning, don't use turbo lift two; at least not until the cleaning bots get at it. Are there any more issues to be discussed here?" No one said anything. "Ok then, dismissed." Harper waited until they had all filed out before leaving.
Just over two days had passed since the meeting, most of which Harper had spent in the holodeck, using an erotic holo-novel he had created. It was really just a glorified porno, set in a different time. A era the humans called 'Victorian'. Harper had just about all he could take for now, so he non-chalantly Walked from the holodeck, completely unaware that he was bleeding from a bite wound on his neck. Will had just rounded a corner in the corridor and saw Harper, and the blood on his grey fur. He called out "Fuck, what happened to you, Captain? You're bleeding!" Harper put a paw up to his neck, and saw blood on it and let a small laugh, and placed his other paw on Will's shoulder and spoke "It's ok, I was playing one of my novels. One of the characters in it is a bit frisky, but that's why I designed him. And besides, it's no fun with the safety protocols on. I'm heading back to my quarters for some coffee, care to join me?" He looked at Will with those cute yellow eyes and gave the slightest smile. Will gave in "Alright then, lead the way"
Harper had a huge cabin on the ship. Big windows showed the stars as they went by at a frightening speed. There was a recliner, and two long couches, the type made just so you could stretch out upon them. Harper poured Will some coffee, and sat facing him on the couch. "So, that holo-novel you were playing, would you have a problem with me using it? I'm eager to see what it is like." Harper looked at him, confused "I thought you were straight, Will. The novel contains male on male sex, and eroticness. I'm bisexual, that's why I created it. Since that bitch Ivy left me last year, I've not had any sex, aside from that novel. There's no one on this vessel suitable for me. Felicity is not my type, and Davina and James are together. And Mullins, he's cute, yeah, but I don't know how I feel about him." Will snorted into his coffee, and placed it upon the polished obsidian table. Will spoke "Well, Harper, I know for a fact Mullins is bi, I went to school with him back home. I'm gay. I have been trying to work my charm on Bryan, but he's been busy lately. Davina, Felicity and James are a 'ménage a trios' as they say on earth." Harper looked at him "Be that as it may, Will, it still doesn't solve my problem. You've no idea how lonely I am. No one to bed with at night. No one to care for, no one to love." Will moved over beside Harper, and tenderly placed a paw on his knee. Looking at him with those beautiful blue eyes, he spoke in barely a whisper "I like you, Harper, I've coveted you since I boarded this ship and first set my eyes upon you." Harper looked at him, and smiled slightly as Will moved in and licked his neck gently, purring as he did so. Will came back up, and moved in for a kiss. Harper placed his paws on Will's shoulder and head as his kissed back, feeling those big teeth on his tongue. He stroked Will's whiskers and ears. Harper straddled Will's lap and pull the vest from him. He licked at the nipples and nipped at them, and pressed his own muscled body against Will's, and whispered "You big cats are beautiful, and you tigers are the sexiest thing ever created." Will said between kisses "Do you think Mullins would enjoy this? Should we ask him?" Harper answered "Yes, I could do a great many things to him, stuff that would make your toes curl" As he said this, he could feel Will's tiger meat growing in excitement. He got on his knees to undo Will's combats, and as the button came undone, Mullin's voice came in over the Comms system "Captain, we've found the Fortuna. I'm dropping out of warp and engaging the enhancements we've made. You should probably come to the bridge for this".
Harper looked up at Will with an apologetic look upon his face, and said "Clean yourself up and follow me to the bridge. I'm sorry." He pulled his vest back on, and left his quarters, followed closely by Will. Will shot a resentful, dirty look at Mullins, who didn't see it. Mullins could smell the sex in the air, and approached Harper with a curious look in his pine green eyes and asked "What were you and Swift up to? Anything......fun?" He smiled and ran his tongue across his teeth. Harper looked at him, and betrayed no emotion, "What makes you say that, Shadow?" Mullins replied "Well, its just that I can smell him all over you. And whatever either of you are flaunting, I want some." Harper placed a paw upon Mullins' chest, and pushed him back a bit, then muttered "Don't do that, I hate when others stand too close to me. Let's just get the Fortuna bounty out of the way, then you, I and William will talk. Have you anything to say to that sergant?" Mullins simply replied "No, sir", then turned around and returned to his console.
They were cloaked, and were closing on the Fortuna, which , to what they knew, had no clue that Payne's ship was tailing them. Harper left the bridge and went to his ready room. Harper sat in his big comfortable chair, and paged Mullins, who made his way to the room. Harper looked at him in a way that could intimidate anyone, and spoke sternly "Sit, Mullins". Mullins sat, and his ears went back as he knew that he was going to recieve a rebuke. "Now, I'm your captain, and I know we don't really follow protocol as per normal on this ship, but I think you are completely over stepping your bounds making such comments, and to answer your question, myself and Will were kissing. We were about to go further, but you paged me. Then again, I don't see where it concerns you. I know you want some action from us, but thats something I'd have to discuss with Will. I personally don't have a problem; on the contrary, I think you are quite handsome. Go on, give me one of your sexy smiles." Harper said, as Mullins smiled one of his smiles, and went over to him and gave him a friendly, manly hug. "Now Shadow, ready the transporters, we will be boarding the Fortuna in a few minutes. I'm taking you and Bryan with me. I'll go and tell him soon. Go and get ready." Mullins saluted, and left the ready room. Harper went to the bridge and gave command to Will. Then he headed to Bryan's quarters, where he had been relaxing on time off. He pressed what can only be described as a doorbell, and he heard Bryan's deep voice telling him to enter. Harper spoke "Bryan, we've located the Fortuna, and we are about to board it, and I want you to come with me and Mullins. Will has command and everything is set, we just need to get ready." Bryan got up, and walked towards his captain, then spoke "Lead the way. What weapons are we taking?" "Whatever you want Bryan, within reason that is". They were in the transporter room within minutes. They all carried the same weapons; a phaser assault rifle, and a tesla gun each. Harper, however had replicated an earth weapon called a 'bowie knife', so he could decapitate the captain of the Fortuna.
Just before they disembarked Harper's ship; Fenris Alpha 1, he paged Will to tell him to destroy the Fortuna's shields, and power grid. Will did, and the Fortuna was dead in the water. They beamed aboard, and switched their infra-red visors on. They could see the humans running around in panic, some trying to operate weapons. With the ship's universal traslator offline, all that could be heard were growls, snarls, barks, and the odd snort too. This only fueled the fear of the Fortuna's crew. They worked from the bridge down, decimating the crew. They switched their rifles to the highest power setting, and once or twice Harper killed someone with his bare paws. He'd used up all the ammo in his rifle, so he had it slung over his back. The knife was in his paw, the foot long blade reflected what little light hit it's surface. He slashed and stabbed, and gouged, doing mare than was neccessary to kill them, and was covered in blood. He liked human blood, but his line of work prevented him sampling it too often. They'd worked their way down to the utility deck, there were two cargo bays here, and the were in the first one. Humans were firing at them, but missed them. Mullins was firing away at the humans, when one of them threw something. Mullins went to kick it away, and it exploded, blowing most of his right leg off, and snding him flying. Harper ran to his side and assessed the wound, and spoke in a frightned voice "Shadow, don't die. I'm going to transport you back to the ship." Harper started whining "Please be ok." He paged Felicity in the sickbay and told her what had happened, and to stop the bleeding. After that, Harper ran blindly at the humans, slashing with his claws, and biting with his teeth. He was in his most basic mindset, rage clouded his mind, and tears his eyes. Before long, the cargo bay was a mass of gore and body parts. Bryan came over and placed a hand upon Harper's shoulder. Harper sagged a bit, and a small "woof" issued from his muzzle as Bryan pulled him into a comforting hug. Bryan's deep, smooth and alluring voice rang in Harer's ears "Come on Harper, lets get the job done. Mullins will be ok, I'm sure of it. We've got two lifesigns left, on human and one feline. I'd bet the captain is in the next cargo bay. C'mon." He said softly, and he ran his hand comfortingly through Harper's mane.
They crept intot he next cargo bay, not making a sound. Harper and Bryan could see the Captain of the Fortuna, and Harper made a paw-signal to Bryan to cover him. Harper walked up on the captain till he was about ten feet away. The captain was against a wall. He caught sight of Harper and went to press something, Bryan took his shot, and the captains hand was gone. Harper flung the bowie knife at his advarsery. There was a faint squelch as it punctured his chest and heart. Harper walked over to the captain, and pulled the knife out. He grabbed the captain by the hair, and pulled hard, the captain screaming all the while, and with one fell swoop he sliced the captain's head off; her horrified expression died after a few seconds. He put the knife back in it's sheath and held the head aloft and howled aloud to mark his victory. Harper was just about to call in to be transported back when something caught his attention. His head whipped around and he saw something in what appeared to be some kind of cell. He sent Bryan back to the ship with the head, and he went to investigate the movement. The cell was in darkness. He remembered what Bryan had said about a feline lifeform. Forsaking safety, he opened the cell door and stepped inside. A paw made contact with his lower jaw, and he stumbled back, switching on his IR visor. He could see a lion, and it was coming at him. It threw another punch, which he blocked and countered; cracking the lion in the face with his elbow. The lion roared, and came at him once more. This time Harper was ready; he punched the lion in the gut, and grabbed the lion by the throat and lifted it off of it's feet.
The he threw the lion to the gound, and straddled it. He could see that the lion was male. He had a nice musk. Harper had the knife pressed to the lions throat. Harper used his most intimidating growling voice and said "If you weren't feline, I'd have killed you by now. Why did you attack me? Identify yourself!" The lion whimpered, which gave Harper a small pang of guilt, the lion spoke "I..my names is Hurst. I only attacked you because I thought you were one of the captains guards come to hurt me again. Please don't hurt me....." The lion started whimpering again, and Harper got off, and helped him up. Hurst was slightly taller than him, but his body posture was submissive and he flinched with any sudden movements. Harper put the knife in it's sheath once more, and put a gentle paw upon Hurst's arm and spoke soothingly "Don't worry, there are more of us aboard my ship, we will look after you. Hurst licked at Harper gratefully, who laughed gently. He paged Will "Will, two to beam up, and prepare the spare quarters next to mine."
They were beamed off the Fortuna, which they sabotaged to make it look like it had exploded due to a malfunction.
