A li'l thing I did for my master (at the time!). c:
Tremors rocked the ground, causing window-panes to vibrate and rattle. This noise roused a particular kittycoon, who had previously been sleeping. He stirred in his bed, and groaned quietly. "Mmph.. Stupid.. Tree.." He muttered, attributing the rattling and vibrating to the tree outside, whose branches always scratched at the window. In his groggy state, he wasn't able to discern scratching from rattling, and neither did he care to. All that mattered now was that he was awake, and unfortunately for him, unable to return to sleep. His body often worked against him when it came to his sleep. Somnus sighed, and stretched a hand out. He blindly groped around on the nightstand, until he grabbed hold of his phone. The little hybrid brought the phone up to his face, and flicked through his messages. This was a morning ritual of his: Checking his texts as soon as he woke! This time, there was one new text from Isaac Fotia, or rather, 'Master <3', as he had labeled him in his phone.'I'm going to be stopping near your house today! Make sure you text me when you see me. I wouldn't want to accidentally step on you!"
Somnus grinned sleepily, and chuckled. He typed back a quick reply.'Mm'kay! It'll be fun to hang out with you! I'll show you around Florida. <3' Now that the texting matter had been settled, Somnus slid out of bed, and headed to the kitchen to work on lunch. His guest would probably be pretty hungry, after the long plane flight.... A cacophony of chaos rose from the ground far below the demi-god, Isaac. Each of his steps flattened entire areas, and killed countless individuals who had been caught beneath the tread of his massive sandal. Buildings were reduced to rubble and ash, which was then kicked forward by his foot, creating a dusty cloud. Rubble ended up getting between the Flareon's toes, as he made his way across the city. "Tch. Dirt keeps getting between my toes." Isaac grumbled quietly, wriggling his feet in his worn sandals. "I'll have to
get Sommy to clean 'em, once I find him." Isaac muttered to himself, as he kept walking northbound, leaving a trail of destruction and death in his wake....
Somnus sat down at the dinner table, waiting for the lasagna to finish baking. He tugged his phone out of his pocket, and began to idly tap away at the screen. You know, you're going to need more direction than just 'Orlando', mister. o:-Sent by Somnus Kookha at 12:03 AM Oh don't worry. You showed me your house on maps, before. It'll be easy to find! Well, once I -actually- reach civilization, here. Is half of Florida just dirt?-Sent by: Isaac Fotia at 12:07 AM Use your GPS if you can't find it in an hour, you stubborn fox. And no, it just depends where you are! x3-Sent by: Somnus Khookha at 12:10 AM Psh. I'll use maps on my phone if I can't. But I hope you know, I'm still going to stomp you when I find you. :3-Sent by: Isaac Fotia at 12:15 AM. Somnus rolled his eyes and chuckled. He hopped to his feet and headed to the kitchen. Once he had taken the lasagna out to cool, he set it on the stovetop, and headed over to his room. Video games would be a good way to burn time until Isaac arrived....
Slowly, steadily, the booming noise grew louder. Somnus had his headset on, so he didn't notice it until it was practically a mini earthquake. The little catcoon attempted to stand, but he would only end up falling right over! The tremors were far too strong for him to move. Somnus was confused, terrified, and worried. He attributed the tremors to an earthquake.. That is, until he spotted what could only be described as a giant, through the large window in his living room. ... Isaac had his both of sandals in one hand, and was casually walking
along, barefoot. The ground felt crunchy, and he could occasionally feel an odd wiggling and squirming feeling, beneath his vast sole. Speaking of which, his feet were rather damp with sweat, due to the long walk. The feeling of cool dirt on his paws, helped to relax him. "Hm.. He hasn't texted me yet. Sheesh, how much do I have to walk before I reach civilization? It's just bloody dirt, and more dirt." Isaac murmured, as his foot descended onto a small crowd, reducing them to a bloody pulp, without him even noticing. "I'll just keep walking for another five minutes, and if I don't find him, I'll just use my phone's GPS." Isaac reasoned, continuing to make his way along the land. Somnus could not reach his phone. The tremors were so violent, that they prevented him from rising to his feet! He had fallen countless times, now, and had the bruises to show for it. Poor Somnus could only watch as the figure came closer and closer, those massive feet wrecking and flattening everything in their path. Eventually, they reached his home, and just as one foot began to rise, he realized exactly who's foot it was. "Isaa-!" The Flareon's bare foot crushed a small home, reducing it to rubble. Isaac stood in place, here, and slid his phone out of his pocket. After opening the map application, he typed in the address that his pet had sent him. Oddly enough, it said that he was at his destination! Isaac furrowed his brow and stared at the screen, until realization slowly hit him. He felt his stomach turn, as he slowly lifted his foot from the ground, just now noticing a tiny house. He had been walking -on- the city all this time! The house was completely flattened. It was obvious that nobody could have survived an entire house collapsing in on them. Isaac felt his throat tighten, and a single tear slid along his cheek. His poor pet was gone; crushed to a paste beneath his oblivious foot. "S-Somnus.."
