The Rampage - Part 06
Well, what do we have here? Something that appears to be of the perfect size for... things...
Excitement could be seen not only on Zilla's face, but in the way he presented himself just by walking. Each stomp upon the ground could be felt no matter where one might have been in the city, as could the way his feet raised with curling toes to broadcast to those who could see his heightened emotions. At this point he decided to no longer abide to some strange self-imposed moral code, albeit meaning that instead of specifically stepping upon the tiny people and their vehicles, it meant plowing through some of their less imposing structures.
Stout apartment buildings, shopping districts, and mass transportation facilities were all eventually shadowed by the monstrous scaly feet. The giant creature even managed to enjoy such without giving but a conscious shred of thought towards it, for the act of gaining as much pleasure as possible from such had become so ingrained that it was pure instinct to do such. His toes, normally having a small bit of space between them as he walked, splayed out considerably when the framework of a structure crumbled beneath his weight. It allowed him to wedge more matter underneath his foot, as he clenched the toes before lifting the appropriate foot into the air once more, kicking it forward a short distance, before the opposite foot could fall down upon the strewn objects. Only a sparse few structures in his path managed to stay standing, and even then only with a single wall or corner.
After a while a purpose of the more destructive nature of the foot presses came to light; the giant creature scratching his claws against the ground to rake away the tougher concrete of a large parking space, and reveal a softer and likely more comfortable spot. At the same time it allowed him to get more intimate with the people who had been in the area, as their small bodies would become wedged between toes and claws, while others being smeared along the scales. Many others were pushed behind him, in a growing cluster of debris.
Doing these actions for a few minutes, Zilla halted the actions as it became much more appropriate of a resting position. He proved such by letting go of all weight in his legs, allowing himself to fall down less than gracefully, yet planned at the same time. Nearby cars, not caught up in the scuffle, jumped off the ground from the sharp vibrations which took place from the giant bum crashing against the torn cement. A rolling rumble echoed throughout the entire city as though dynamite had exploded. Wiggling his rump, he felt the collection of people and cars below working well as a makeshift cushion.
He moved into a more relaxed position very quickly, as the massive legs on the saurian creature stretched forward. The heels tore a shallow canal through the forward portions of the parking lot, taking with it commuters and any vehicles. Many of the cleaned up objects not now found beneath the giant's buttocks and tail were now carried along with those feet. They became a mound in themselves, the toes spreading once more to ensure not too much of the material spilled around the sides of the feet. In mere seconds, he pushed along an assorted collection of people and objects, and soon after rammed it all into the closest building at his feet. Flexing his toes, the smaller things squeezed between the large foot-scales and face of the structure. It was here that he managed to garnish a different sensation than before, from objects being forced between the toes, giving a good combination of massaging and scratching against those digits.
With a broad smile, Zilla settled down and leaned back, turning his head to the side. Conveniently enough, the larger spines of his back penetrated into an apartment complex behind him, as though the brickwork had been constructed for the sole purpose of supporting his weight. Putting a hand down, the wrist resting against the railway bridge, he opened his palm to catch the pilot of an oncoming subway train. It came to a screeching halt, yet the conductor didn't see it fit to slow down despite the creature having been nearby in any case. Lifting it from its course, he stared at it for a short while. Just then, his focus shifted between that of the toy-like object and his mighty pillar of flesh, as if savoring a new idea that just dawned on him.
