Chapter 1: Dinohumon - The Beginning of Everything
It was peaceful night on the island of Michi, and every single person was either asleep, or still up doing whatever they do at night. During this hour, a schnauzer was just leaving his computer and electronics shop; locking the door on the way. As he did so, he suddenly noticed a bright light coming from within the shop, and was curious about where it was coming from. He unlocked the doors and went back inside, and ran over to the source of the bright light. He was surprised to see that it was coming from one of the computers, that he was sure was never on when he was about to leave. How did the computer come on, and why was there a bright light emanating from it?
"What in blazes", the schnauzer exclaimed as he stared at the screen of the computer; watching a series of ones and zeros rapidly scrolling along. Then a bright flash erupted from the computer, which frightened the schnauzer into falling on the floor. Electricity started coursing out from the computer and traveled along the other computers; making their screens explode while the main computer continued to appear just fine. However, the screen appeared to bulge as if something was about to come out from the computer itself; the bulge getting bigger and bigger. The screen cracked soon after the bulge was completely off of it, and when the schnauzer looked up, he saw to his horror a tall figure standing before him; its eyes glowing down at the canine.
"Aaaahhhh", he screamed and the figure broke the window of the store, as it made its escape. As the next day came, the store had yellow tape signs that read, 'keep out' and 'do not enter', as the store owner stood outside with two policemen; a Doberman and a Siamese cat. "Now, can you repeat everything you just said" the Doberman spoke. "It's exactly what I said, officer", the schnauzer responded. "Some creature just came out of one of the computers, and destroyed the other computers and just escaped, and boy did I think I was a goner." The schnauzer gave a sigh of relief, as he waited for the policemen to help him. However, when he brought his attention to the policemen, he noticed the two were eyeing each other in disbelief. He gasped, it was just as he feared; they weren't taking his words to heart. "Y-you don't believe, you both think I'm crazy. But I'm not, I know what I saw. It was some sort of demon; a demon I tell ya."
"Riiiight", the Siamese cat said, "I guess we'll be on our way then." The two policemen hopped in their car, while the schnauzer walked up to the window of the passenger seat; asking if they were going to find the so called demon. The policemen had decided to refuse looking for something that doesn't exist, but said they would be on the lookout for anybody committing vandalism to any stores. "But I'm telling the truth, officers", the schnauzer continued to insist, "There's really some sort of demon out there." "Listen gramps, I suggest you take your pills and gets some rest; you're obviously experiencing some trauma from the person who wrecked your shop", the Siamese cat said. "Until then, call us back if or whenever you see the actual person responsible for this, and no more of this demon nonsense", the Doberman said.
The policemen soon drove off, with the schnauzer following behind only to stop and bring out his hand, saying wait. "Oh, is there anybody out there who will hear me out, and help me?" Across the street from the computer and electronics store was a restaurant called God Dammit Monday, and eating their meals outside of the place was the dragon, Natsuru, and the gryphon, Haru. Although the two were having lunch, they had been listening to everything that was happening across the street from them. "Hey, did you hear that, Haru", Natsuru was the first to speak; "it appears that there's a demon afoot; causing trouble." The dragon suggested that they should go look into the situation, but the gryphon on the other hand found it hard to believe. "I don't know, Natsuru", he started; "I mean a demon coming out of a computer; that sounds really farfetched."
The dragon shook his head in discontent; he couldn't believe that Haru found what he heard unbelievable. How could he find a demon coming out of a computer hard to believe? "I'm pretty sure demons are able to come out from anything and anywhere, Haru", Natsuru said. "We should go over there and help the poor guy out; we're demon hunters after all and it's our job to take care of demons." Haru gave a sigh; there was nothing for him to do, and honestly what Natsuru said was right. With that said the two had gotten up from their seats and started walk over to the schnauzer. "I still say those cops were right; this might just be a waste of our time", Haru whispered.
Once the two made it over to the other side, the gently tapped the old schnauzer's back; causing him to jump in fright. "Oh, don't startle me like that", he sighed in relief; "I had thought that you were that demon, back to get me." Natsuru rubbed his head as he gave a short chuckle, before apologizing for unintentionally scaring him. "Anyway, my friend and I couldn't help but hear your cry for help", Natsuru said; "you mentioned something about a demon." The old dog was relieved that there were two other people he's never seen willing to help him, and as he was about to tell them of his situation, he thought they wouldn't believe him and maybe just wanted to get a laugh. However, Natsuru reassured him upon saying that he and Haru are demon hunters, and that it was their responsibility to get rid of those kinds of monsters. The old schnauzer couldn't be happier, as held a big smile on his maw and rapidly shook the dragon's hands, "oh thank you; thank the gods in heaven that there are people here to help me in my time of need", he said; Natsuru chuckled while Haru sweat dropped as he made a look that said 'oh lord'.
After the handshaking came to an end, the old dog showed Natsuru and Haru what became of his store, and explained everything that he told the police earlier. "You know, this all could have been just a robbery", Haru spoke as he inspected the place. "I'm not so sure about that, Haru", Natsuru started, "if this were a robbery, then everything here should have been stolen, but instead everything looks destroyed." Listening to them, the old schnauzer was starting to become worried that the two demon hunters wouldn't help him. "This does look like the work of a vandalist indeed." Upon hearing the dragon say that, the old schnauzer was beginning to tear up and fell to his knees, "you both don't believe me either."
The old schnauzer began to shed tears to stream down his eyes; he thought he wouldn't get the help that he really needed right now. Natsuru, feeling bad for unintentionally bringing down his hopes, patted the old dog's shoulder as he apologized. "It's not that we don't believe you", Natsuru said; Haru huffed which made a red vein appear on the dragon's head, "but just looking at the mess of this store, can make any person think it was a robbery or otherwise. However, I think you might be able to help us find this demon." The old schnauzer's ears perked up upon hearing the dragon's words. He rubbed his eyes clean of his tears and pulled out a handkerchief to quickly blow his nose, "really, you I can really be of help to you two?" Natsuru smiled warmly at him as he gave a nod, "yeah, because you've seen what this demon looks like, so maybe you can give us a description of what the demon looks like." Understanding the dragon's words, the old dog nodded his head as he brought himself back to his feet, and started to describe the monster to the two hunters.
"Ok then, I'll try my best to help", the schnauzer said as started to recall what had happened last night. He could remember when that demon just appeared out from the computer and stood before him. "Well, in terms of appearance, that demon looked exactly like a big kind of reptile." After being told of what the demon looked like, Natsuru and Haru eyed each other and thought about how difficult it would be for them to find a big reptile, especially considering there are plenty of different reptiles living on Michi. Natsuru then asked if the reptile was had on any type of clothing, to which the old schnauzer replied that the reptile wore North American Indian clothing. This had proved to be even more difficult for the dragon and gryphon, because they were still quite new to arriving on Earth and as such had no idea what these Indians were; let alone what they wore. "Listen, my buddy and I are new here; like really new here and we don't anything about Indians and what they wear", Haru spoke; "how about describing what he wore?"
Natsuru was a bit stunned to hear Haru say that, especially since he didn't believe that they were dealing with a possible demon attack. Was the avian starting to believe the old dog? "Oh yes, I can do that indeed", the schnauzer said; "well, from what I can remember, he wore purple pants, some brown colored arm bands, and a headband with a single feather." With the info they were given, Natsuru and Haru were about to get started to look for the reptile looking demon, but before they were about to head out from the store, the old also mentioned that the creature carried two blades. "Alright, thanks for all the info", Natsuru thanked; "now, if you excuse us, we'll be on our way and we'll be find that demon and get rid of him."
After leaving the store, Natsuru and Haru started their search through the city looking for the demon. While the dragon seemed to be more optimistic as he looked around, his gryphon friend however was more pessimistic about it. "I still say that this is a waste of our time, Natsuru", Haru said as he followed his friend; "I mean come on, a big reptile wrecked his store, so it was obviously a robbery." Natsuru shook his head as he came to stop and turned his attention to the avian, "so you really hadn't believed what the store owner said", he started; "I know what he said sounds hard to believe, but what isn't is the fact that a demon could take on any form it chooses, so at this time the demon is most likely in the form of a reptile." With his talking coming to a stop, the dragon resumed his walking to look for the demon, while Haru stood momentarily as he shook his head. As he too started to walk again, he then suddenly made a dash towards the dragon, "WATCH OUT", he shouted as he quickly pushed Natsuru and himself to the ground. It was good timing too, since a car was sent flying at them and crashed into the building they had stood next to.
"Are you alright, Natsuru", Haru asked in concerned as he helped him, along with himself back up to their feet. The dragon gave a nod, "yeah, I'm fine; you're really saved me there. Where did that car come from, anyway?" Looking at the direction of where the vehicle came from, Haru had taken notice of a dinosaur-like reptile causing trouble in the middle of the street. A car almost crashed into the reptile, but the driver made it come to a complete stop in front of him, and in retaliation the reptile stabbed a blade he carried into where the car's engine was located; scaring the driver out of the vehicle just in time as the vehicle exploded. "What the hell is with that bastard", Haru cursed; "he's causing so much destruction." Natsuru had then taken a look at the rampaging reptile and noticed the clothing he was wearing, not only that but he also noticed the two blades he had with him; the one currently in his hand and the large one hanging along his back. There were even two blades attached to his arm bands. "Haru, he's just as that store owner described him; that reptile is the demon we're looking for."
After having a quick back at the reptile, the gryphon made a gasp from the realization that the old dog was right. The two watched as they witness the reptile-like demon stopped another car with his foot, and was getting ready to stab his blade down upon it. Not wasting anytime, Natsuru ran toward while Haru brought out a hand as he told the dragon to wait, but it was fruitless as Natsuru had shot an energy ball of twilight at creature; stopping him and bring his attention at the dragon. The gryphon made a growl as brought out what looked to be a tracker; a demon hunting tracking scanner, and pointed it from where he stood at the reptile, but upon doing so Haru held a quizzical look on his face. "What the...it's not reacting? Could it be that that reptile isn't really a demon?"
Back with Natsuru, the dragon had quickly summoned his sword and blocked the blade that was brought down on him. "If you value your life, leave me be", spoken the reptile. Natsuru just scoffed from the response, "like I'm going listen to the words of a demon." The reptile gritted his fangs in anger, as he felt offended from the dragon's words. He began to rapidly slash his smaller blade against Natsuru's own blade; causing sparks to fly off the grinding metals. What was odd was that Natsuru kept guarding and defending himself from the reptile's attack; not once trying to fight back at all. "Damn, I know should be fighting back, but I can't here of all places", Natsuru thought; "it's too dangerous here, not just for me but also for everybody here. I need to think of some way to move him to another location."
The reptile never stopped his constant attacking against Natsuru; it was as if he was a wild animal with the only thought on his mind was just attack and kill. With him acting like that, his actions had pretty much left him wide open for any attack, and that was exactly what Haru was preparing to do. Conjuring up a fireball, the gryphon threw the ball of flame at the distracted reptile, and made a direct hit at the side of his body. "ARRRGGG", he screamed out in pain from the burning feeling on his side; putting his rapid slashes to an end as he brought his attention to the red avian. The reptile glared at Haru, while the gryphon just returned a smirk as he conjured up more fireballs, and began throwing them at him. Bombarded with the balls of flame, the reptile attempted to defend himself by blocking some of the fireballs with his small blade, and even tried to swat them away with the blade. One fireball made a direct hit at his hand; causing his small blade to be knocked away out from his hand.
The reptile growled in anger before he ran off into the direction of the nearby woods. Natsuru saw this as a much better opportunity to take care of the reptile, now that it wasn't in the city anymore. Before he gave chase, Natsuru brought his attention over to Haru and gave him a smile, "good going, Haru"; he complimented as he gave a thumbs up, and then rushed towards the woods. Haru, on the other hand, just stood momentarily with a blush on his face from the dragon's compliment, until he too eventually gave chase.
Meanwhile, within the heart of the woods, the reptile was on his hands and knees; the look of hopelessness was present on his face. "Damn it", he cursed as he punched his fist into the ground, "how did it come to this?" He began to think about how he ended up in his current situation; he recalled being in his own world and doing battle against another creature. While he was in battle, he was knocked back against what looked to be a randomly placed television monitor, and by some strange coincidence that monitor started to glow, and the reptile just fell through the screen and eventually ended up in Michi. "I need to returned back to the Digital World; it needs me", he said upon coming out of his thoughts, "but...how can I return back?" Without there being a way for him to return to his world, the reptile started to grit his teeth in anger, but stopped upon hearing a footstep sound. He turned his head around to see that familiar green dragon he attacked back in the city.
"I found you", Natsuru said as he gave a glare. He stood there as he watched the reptile stand back up on his feet, "why can't you just leave me be", the reptile asked as he turned around to face the dragon; "you would save yourself the trouble and your life if you just back away." Not taking his words to heart, Natsuru gripped his sword as he got himself into a fighting stance, "and why should I? Why should I just let a demon roam free after all that destruction you were causing in the city?" The reptile gritted his fangs again upon being called a demon again; just hearing to be called that was getting him riled up, "I'm not a demon and I don't need to explain anything to you; you wouldn't be able to understand." "I may not be able to understand, but what I do understand..." Natsuru paused for a bit as he pointed his sword at the reptile; "is that I can't allow a demon to get away with what it's doing." Upon hearing being called a demon once more, the reptile's eyes momentarily grew small and he growled through his gritted teeth as he brought his arms up; showing the blades that were attached to his arm bands, "I am not a demon, I AM A DIGIMON; DINOHUMON."
The reptile now known as Dinohumon, charged at Natsuru and began slashing at him with his blades, but the dragon managed to evade every strike that was sent his way. He was nearly slashed across the chest from one of Dinohumon's blades, but he brought up his sword in time to block the attack. Dinohumon's eye seemed to have glimmered upon seeing that happen, because with Natsuru leaving his abdomen wide open for an attack, the so called digimon kicked the dragon in the gut. Natsuru spat out from the attack; the force of the kick sent him flying back until his back made contact with a tree, "ugh", he groaned. "Natsuru", whispered Haru; apparently the gryphon was in the woods the whole time, but was just watching the battle from atop a tree. The dragon continued to groan as he attempted to bring himself back up on his feet; using his sword to help. "You should've just stayed there on the ground", Dinohumon said as he brought his arms into a cross formation. "Heh, you wish", Natsuru retorted as he was now back on his feet; holding his sword as waited for the digimon to attack.
The two stared each other down for a few minutes, until they charged straight at each other. They both dashed passed one another; slashing along the way with their weapon and stood back to back a few meters away from each other. They both appeared to be unscathed as there not a single scratch on them, however, blood had briefly shot out from Natsuru's right arm and drip sown it; making him hold his arm in pain. As for Dinohumon, instead of having a scratch on his being, the blades on his arm bands had sported cracks until they had shattered off; possibly from the green dragon's attack when he had dashed by the digimon.
Seeing the shattered remains of his blades on the ground had really angered Dinohumon; possibly more so than being called a demon. He turned his head to the injured dragon; his own hand slowly going over to grab the hilt of the giant blade he carried on his back. Natsuru's ears twitched when heard the footsteps coming closer behind him, and once he looked back he was greet with the giant blade that was swung down at him. Thinking quickly, the dragon jumped back before the blade could make contact with him, and making it hit ground where he stood instead. With a growl, Dinohumon quickly rushed over to Natsuru and swung his blade down upon him once again, but the dragon was quick to bring his sword over his head to block the attack. The force of the digimon's blade making contact with Natsuru's made the ground crumble underneath his feet; almost trying to make the dragon the submit, "nghhh", the dragon groaned.
Seeing his friend in trouble, Haru summoned one of his pistols and aimed it at the digimon's head, but moved it down to his shoulder. "I've got a clear shot", the gryphon thought as he pulled the trigger of his pistol twice; shooting out two bullets to go flying at the reptile's shoulder. Unfortunately for the avian, it appeared that Dinohumon had taken noticed of this and kicked Natsuru away, and with his incredible speed he quickly turned to the directions of the bullets, and quickly slashed them in half. Haru was left awestruck by this, "no way, that's impossible; how was he able to see those bullets coming?"
Taking out the bullets had left Dinohumon momentarily distracted, but that didn't stop him from blocking the incoming attack from Natsuru. The two reptiles were locked in another stalemate, but the taller reptile was still stronger than the dragon, as it still looked like he was trying to subdue him. Natsuru struggled to keep himself standing, but it was nearly impossible for him to do so. With what little strength he had, he attempted to push back so he could try to get the upper hand on him. During their stalemate, Natsuru took notice of the other reptile's blade starting to break his own sword in half; causing him to frown and growl. "This fight is pointless; we should just put an end to this, now", Dinohumon spoke. "Ngh, you say that, but it honestly sounds like an excuse for you to get away and cause more havoc", Natsuru retorted; "so why should I believe what you say?"
Dinohumon gave a glare to Natsuru; angered by the dragon's annoyance and utter refusal to let him go about his business. He then started to have the upper hand and almost hand the dragon on his knees; it was as if he had gather some extra strength all of a sudden. "Even if I explained my situation to you, I doubt you will even grasp what I'll say. As I've been saying, YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND." It was at that point did Natsuru feel something wet hit the spot on his face under his left eye. Was it rain; was it about to rain? No it wasn't; it was instead the tears that dripped down from the reptile's eyes. Natsuru was surprised by that; a demon crying? Even Haru was surprised by this as he continued watching from the tree. Demons don't cry or show any form of emotion; at least that was what they were taught. Through his tears, Dinohumon did not stop attempting to subdue the dragon he towered over, but Natsuru could feel that he was losing strength. With that in mind, Natsuru managed to push the taller reptile back and as a result his sword was broken in half. With very quick reflexes, Natsuru jumped away from Dinohumon to put some distance between them. His eyes had wander over to the broken blade of his sword and watched it disappear in a glow of twilight; he then looked at the hilt that still held and watched it disappear just like the blade.
With his attention focused back on Dinohumon, the dragon watched him get on one knew; his blade stabbed in the ground and his right hand covering his eyes, as to not show his tears. Natsuru lowered his ears upon watching him and felt guilty seeing him like that. He was about to walk over and try to talk to him, but Haru had landed by his side before he could even go about doing it, "Haru!" The avian had brought his demon scanner and once again aimed it at Dinohumon, and just like in the city there was still no reaction. "I believe he's been telling the truth, Natsuru", he said; "if he was a demon, then this scanner should be reacting, but it's not." With that realization now clear to him, Natsuru felt even more guilt for constantly calling Dinohumon a demon during their skirmish; he mentally called himself an ass for his actions. Without any further distractions, the dragon walked over to the other reptile, and kneeled down to his level.
"I'm sorry", Natsuru apologized; when Dinohumon heard the apology he moved his hand away from his eyes, and looked at the dragon in front of him. "I've insulted you by calling you a demon, when you really weren't one at all; like you've been telling me." The taller reptile was somewhat taken aback from how apologetic the dragon was becoming; being cautious as he gripped the hilt of his blade just in case. "Now then; will you be willing to tell us what you are and where you're from?" Haru had the walked forward and stood by Natsuru's side, "you mentioned that you were a digimon; just what is a digimon", he asked.
Dinohumon stood back on his feet and gave a nod of his head as he started to explain everything. "Digimon; short for digital monster, are creatures made of data", he explained; "we live in world that parallel to this world, known as the Digital World." Natsuru and Haru continued to listen contently; intrigued by the words of the digimon. "Everything in the Digital World; organic and non-organic, is made up of data. Even myself; while I may not be in my world right now, I'm still data in this world, even if you two and everything here isn't." Natsuru and Haru almost found everything word Dinohumon said hard to believe, until they remembered what the old schnauzer told them. So maybe it was true that Dinohumon did come out from the computer.
"So then, how exactly did you get here, Dinohumon", Natsuru asked. The digimon went back thinking about how he arrived on Michi, while telling them at the same time. He mentioned that he was in battle with a virus type digimon, and a bad one at that. While explaining his situation, he made mention of when he collided with a randomly placed television looking monitor, after he was counterattacked by his aggressor. The monitor had flicked on and sucked him in; transporting him into the computer and electronics store. "So it's possible to get to the Digital World through a television or computer monitor", Haru questioned in interest.
"I just have to get back to my world; I'm really worried about that rogue virus digimon running about", Dinohumon spoke up; "I just don't know what will happen if I don't return and kill it." It was at that moment that Dinohumon began to think about his home world, and it being filled with more malicious virus type digimon. Not only that, but he also envisioned his entire world exploding; being nothing more than rubble that floated about in space. Coming out of those thoughts, the digimon returned his hand to hide his eyes again; it seemed like he was trying to hold back his tears this time. Still feeling quite bad about everything, Natsuru wanted to help the digimon as best he could, and the only thing he could think of was allowing the digimon to stay at their home.
"Haru, I think we should let Dinohumon come stay with us at our home", the dragon said as he turned his attention to the gryphon. "What", Haru said suddenly; "you do realize that this guy is a stranger, right?" Natsuru gave a nod, "yes, I know, but I just feel so sorry for the guy; on top of that I treated him so badly." Haru was still very skeptical about the idea, but after his friend kept insisting and said please, the gryphon gave a sigh and decided to allow it. "You're too nice, Natsuru", he said and then gave a smile; "you'll need to watch out whenever you're like that; can't always be too nice to everyone you meet." Happy with his friend allowing the digimon stay for a day or two, or maybe a week Natsuru smiled back at the gryphon. "Thanks Haru and even though you're right, you don't have to warn me; I know for sure that I can't be nice and trust every stranger."
After giving a nod, Haru walked over to Dinohumon and told him that he could stay with them, until they can find a way to help him return home. The digimon was very grateful that the two were letting him stay with them for a while. "However, if you're going to stay with us for who knows how long, you better behave yourself", Haru said strictly; "there's no way that we have forgotten your rampage back in the city." The reptile lowered his head in shame as he felt bad about his previous actions, and went on to explain why he had done that. "I'm sorry for my actions prior to coming here. I guess I was so startled from suddenly arriving in an unidentifiable place, that I reacted in the most extreme and wild way." Upon hearing that, Natsuru had completely understood what Dinohumon was feeling, because the dragon was just like him when he arrived to Michi; minus the wild and destructive rampage. Walking over to him, Natsuru gave the digimon a pat on the back, "well, you don't have to worry now; we'll help you to return as best we can." Dinohumon gave a nod as he smiled at the dragon, "thank you."
Just as the three were about to walk home, Natsuru said that there was something that they had to care of first. So, before the trio went home, they made a brief stop at computer and electronics store to see the old schnauzer. Upon seeing Dinohumon, the old canine had freaked out as he wondered why the demon hunters just brought him back to his shop. Natsuru explained that Dinohumon wasn't so bad and that they brought him to apologize; the digimon did as such. Even after apologizing for startling him, the old schnauzer was still freaking out by the "demon" that stood before, and as such passed out and fell to the ground; Natsuru and Haru sweat dropped afterwards. "Does that means he forgives me for my actions", Dinohumon wondered. "Uh...y-yeah it does", Natsuru lied. "Right, let's now return back home", Haru said as he and Natsuru pushed Dinohumon away from the store.
It didn't take the trio too long to make it back home, and upon entering the house Dinohumon held an amazed look. Compared to where he slept in back in the Digital World, the digimon couldn't deny how wonderful the place was. "Your home is really nice", he complimented; "so much bigger and wider than where I live in." Both the dragon and the gryphon smiled and thanked the digimon for the compliment, and said that he could look around the place while they decided to fix up some food. There wasn't all that much for Dinohumon to look around at, especially considering that the place was a one story house, but what from all that he did see was the living room that was connected with the kitchen, the bathroom, the guest room, and Natsuru and Haru's room. However, upon entering in their room, the digimon gave a brief gasp as he eyed their computer. As if he were mesmerized by it, he walked over to it and was just about to turn it on, "this looks exactly like that thing I came out of when I arrived in this. Maybe with this I could return back to my world." Just as he was about to turn the computer on, he heard suddenly heard his name being called from within the living room. He decided to leave the computer for now and walked back into the living room with the other two.
"This is amazing" Dinohumon exclaimed; he was simply astounded by what he was seeing on the television screen. He was currently watching the news, and was just astounded by the fact that his rampage in the city, and the start of his skirmish with Natsuru could be seen again on the television monitor. "All of that just happen earlier today, and yet I can see it again from this thing." Haru chuckled from the way the digimon reacted from watching the news, "I'm guessing there are nothing like televisions where you come from?" Dinohumon only shook his head; saying that he doesn't really know since he lives in a village in his world, but mentioned that there could be stuff like a television in the other parts of the Digital World. "So, I guess this world of yours is exactly like Earth" Natsuru spoke up, "but we can understand your reaction to the television, since Haru and I were the same way when we arrived to this planet." Surprised by the dragon's words, the digimon asked them if they didn't belong on Earth either. They replied by simply nodding their heads and explained that they were both from another planet called Fantasia, and that their reason for being on Earth was because they are demon hunters and they were tasked with killing off every demon they would spot.
"I'm really surprised by that; I had assumed you two had always lived here", Dinohumon responded, and the two shook their heads to let him know that they didn't always live on Earth. "And you two managed to adjust to living here quickly?" They both shook their heads again, "oh no, it really wasn't; well not for me at least", Natsuru said. The digimon then asked Natsuru how did he manage to adjust and get used to everything on Earth, and the dragon replied that he had help from a friend he met upon his arrival; a certain lynx. Haru then responded by saying that Natsuru helped him to get used to everything once he arrived a month later. Dinohumon just stared at the two; awestruck by them for being able to live on Earth and treat it like their own home, while he was just startled upon arrival and act unjustly. He considered them both to be stronger than him; even if it was something mundane.
"Now, enough talk about all that", Natsuru said suddenly, "how do you like the food we fixed up for you, Dinohumon?" Bringing his attention back to his meal, which was nothing special; just a simple bowl of stew. Simple or not, the digimon really did enjoy meal. "It's really good; I've never had such a meal like this ever in my life." The smile that was on the digimon's face had quickly changed to a look of melancholy, as he lowered his head down. The dragon and gryphon took noticed of this, and after briefly looking at each other Natsuru asked, "What's wrong; are you ok?" "There's nothing wrong, it's just that", Dinohumon made a brief pause before speaking again, "why are you being so nice to me?"
Natsuru and Haru were taken aback by that response; it apparently seemed like Dinohumon didn't like their hospitality. The two listened contently as the digimon started speaking some more. "Since I've arrived here all I did was cause some trouble, and yet you two just quickly forgave me and allowed me to stay here. Especially you, Natsuru; I could have killed you. I could have stabbed your heart out or even skewer you with my blade." Natsuru and Haru both held sweat drops on their head, and were thinking the exact same thing; everything that Dinohumon just said was just dark and graphic. "Well, Dinohumon, the reason we're doing all this for you is because we felt bad for you", Natsuru started. "We thought you were a demon and just attacked you, and after you've told us everything about yourself we felt that we were in the wrong. And as we said, we will definitely help you to return to your world."
Dinohumon was now speechless from the words he heard that were spawned from the dragon's mouth. Once he took noticed of their nice and gentle smiles, he now knew that he could really trust them; the look of their face was the look of truth and not of lies. The digimon could almost feel himself start to tear up again, but he would then cry tears of joy instead of sorrow. However, not a single tear was shed from his eyes, and instead had a pink flush across his face as he thanked them once again. Natsuru patted the digimon on his shoulder and said, "No problem, friend." That word; friend, made the digimon feel happy inside that this dragon he could've easily killed, had considered him a friend. Did he really trust him that much as of now? Without really think about his actions, Dinohumon had suddenly locked his lips with the dragon; passionately kissing him. While his eyes were closed; implying that he was liking what he was doing, Natsuru's eyes had went wide in surprise. He wasn't only surprised by the kiss though, as Haru was equally taken aback from the site; evidence by the fact he spit out his drink from the sudden action.
Slowly opening his eyes, the digimon had now noticed the dragon's shocked expression and immediately put a cease to his kissing. "I'm so sorry for doing that so suddenly", Dinohumon apologized; embarrassed for what he just did. A blush was now present on Natsuru's face, "oh, it's alright; there was no harm for what you did", he smiled. He then began to stare at the digimon's body and brought his hand to it; rubbing down Dinohumon's body. "You know, during our little fight, I did take notice of your body", he said with his face becoming redder; "such a nice and fit physique you have; if only my body could be like yours." Just like the dragon, Dinohumon's face was becoming red as well, as he likewise brought a hand to Natsuru's bare body that could be seen from his open jacket; rubbing along it just like what the dragon was doing to him. "What are you talking about; your body seems to have just a good physique as mine."
Haru's right eye was twitching wildly as he watched the scene before him. Just seeing his best friend and the digimon rubbing each other's toned bodies and their hands moving ever so slowly down to reaching their pants. He just couldn't watch it continue on, so he got on his feet and shouted, "STOP. You two can't just up and do that to one another; you two just met today." Natsuru raised a brow as he and Dinohumon had stopped what they were doing, "gee, that was so sudden, Haru; were you jealous from what we were doing?" A flush of pink had now appeared on Haru's face, "d-don't be ridiculous; I'm just merely reminding that Dinohumon is still a stranger and you shouldn't just be k-kissing and feeling down a stranger's body. The same holds true to you too, Dinohumon." Despite all that he said was true and serious, Natsuru could easily tell that his gryphon friend was jealous, and walked over to him. Within his space, the dragon took ahold of the zipper of Haru's jacket, "there's no denying your jealousy, Haru", very quickly Natsuru pulled the zipper down; making the gryphon's jacket open up and revealed his equally toned body.
Haru's entire face had become bright pink; embarrassed at what Natsuru did. "Yo, Dinohumon; what do you think of Haru's body?" The digimon had walked over to the gryphon and just like what he and Natsuru did to each other, he started to rub and feel down Haru's body, "I feel that his body is just as good as yours", he complimented. As much as Haru was really enjoying what was happening to him, he once again attempted to deny his feelings and cease the current action. "S-stop; you still shouldn't be doing this to me." Natsuru smirked as he brought himself to one of the gryphon's ear, "you can deny all you want, you know you like this", the dragon then turned his attention to Dinohumon and said, "how about you give him kiss too?" The digimon gave a brief chuckle, "I might as well, since he was also nice to me." Bringing his hand under the avian's chin and the cuffing it, the digimon brought himself close to Haru and locked his mouth with his beak; kissing him passionately. Just like before, the digimon had his eyes closed and Haru, who seemed to be really enjoying the kiss, slowly shut his eyes too; Natsuru continued to smirk as looked at Haru.
The kiss was only a short one and it ended as quickly as it had started. The two men stared at each, with Haru looking as he was mesmerized by the kiss and Dinohumon only simply smiled. "Oh wow that was..." was all the avian could say until he heard Natsuru laughing at him. "Oh man, I knew you were really enjoying all of that", Natsuru laughed and teased. "Oh be quiet you", Haru shouted out in an embarrassed tone. Natsuru continued to laugh at his friend and Dinohumon eventually joined in, as he too started to laugh at the gryphon.
A few hours had gone by and at that time both Natsuru and Haru were passed out in the living room. However, Dinohumon wasn't in the same room with them and instead was back the dragon and gryphon's room. He was currently using their computer; attempting to find some way to return back to the Digital World, and from the looks of it he seemed to have managed to pull it off. "Ok, I think I'm just about there; if I continue doing this then...YES, I've got it." A happy expression was now present on the digimon's face; signifying that he may have finally found a way back. Shown before him on the computer screen was some sort gate, but just any gate, it was a digital gate; a gate that could send anyone to and from Earth to the Digital World. Clicking on it to open it, a bright flash had spawned from the screen and had enveloped the whole room. A little bit of the bright light had come through the crack of the door and into the living room; waking up both Natsuru and Haru. The two had wondered what was up with the bright light and why it was coming out from their room, so they rushed in there to see what was up.
"DINOHUMON", Natsuru shouted; prompting the digimon to turn his attention to his friends; "Ah, Natsuru, Haru", he said nonchalantly. "What's going on here; what's with this bright light", Haru asked. The digimon began to explain that he had managed to find his way to getting back to his home, and that the bright flash was the result of him opening the gate that should return him back to his world. "Oh, that's wonderful news to hear", Natsuru cheered; "So I guess this is good bye then", Haru asked. The digimon gave a quick nod and walked over to the two; locking them both into a hug, "I won't forget you two; for all that you both have done for me today, even if it was only briefly."
The dragon and gryphon gave a nod and hugged Dinohumon back, "we won't forget you either", Haru said. "Yeah and let's not think of this as good bye forever, and more like until we meet again", Natsuru said. With their hug now coming to a cease, Dinohumon gave another nod as he agreed with Natsuru's words, "yes, until we meet again sometime in the future, my friends." With those words as his final good bye, the digimon walked back over to the computer and allowed the light to envelope him; his body glowing and turning a series of codes as he was being transferred over to the other side. With that all done and taken care of, the gate that was on the computer's screen had closed and then disappeared; not only that but the computer was now completely turned off.
"Huh, why are we just standing here doing nothing like fools, Haru?" The gryphon turned his head over to the dragon, "I don't know; was one of going to use the computer?" Natsuru crossed his arms and started to recall why they were both just standing in their room and in front of the computer, but nothing came up. "I really don't know myself; did something or was something happening in here?" Haru gave a shrug as his answer; Natsuru found their predicament right was very weird, but he and the avian had this feeling inside them. A sad feeling; like they had just said good bye to someone and they both really couldn't understand why they were feeling that way. It was a very strange moment for them right; apparently after Dinohumon had left the two had lost all memories of everything that had transpired today. For just awhile, the two just stood there staring at their computer.
