"Ladies and gentlemen!" The fox in the dapper suit shouted. "Welcome to a special showing of--"

"MIND OVER MATTER!" The live audience shouted back.

The fox laughed and nodded his head. "At least we all know where we all are, but do you know why we're here? Tonight is a first for all of us here on Mind over Matter, including me. I, the Ravishing Reuss, am proud to present the first pay-per-view edition of the show, which means different content too before, and more importantly...no commercial breaks!"

The audience burst into applause.

"Tonight is the first time ever we are using the same contestants, ones that might be familiar to you if you keep up with our regular broadcast. They aren't known for their success, but for their failures! Yes, we've taken the two contestants from our first pool of strike-outs who will be competing in tonight's show. From now on, contestants who strike out are given a second chance!" Reuss held up a finger. "Yet, not in the way you think. Our contestants for this show aren't competing against each other. No, neither of them will win a prize tonight; however, one of them will still become tonight's prize. Before we go any further, our showgirls will introduce our contestants. Ready girls?"

Algera, the lovely swan showgirl appeared from the right of Reuss out of a cloud of billowing smoke. In the same way, Massa the tropical toucan beauty appeared out of her own cloud of smoke from the left as pillars rose from below the stage in the center. When the smoke cleared, Algera stood by a very angry looking buck while the second contestant, a bulky alligator with a paunch and the same temperament, stood by Massa's side.

"Lovelies," Reuss called. "Who do we have here?"

"Cliff," Algera replied, giggling as she stroked the buck's muzzle. "Isn't he cute?"

"Get off me!" The buck said as he pushed her away. Algera merely giggled again and gave a little wave to the crowd as she stepped away.

"And Massa?" Ruess asked as Massa revealed her contestant. The paunch gator merely gave the girl a sour look as she poked at his obvious potbelly.

"Garth," Massa trilled, looking shyly at the cross gator. "What a nice name."

Garth snorted and ignored the toucan. She shrank away and disappeared from the stage much the same way Algera had.

"Cliff," Reuss said, nodding to the buck before turning to the gator. "Garth, good to have you both here. There is one more person I'd like to introduce, however."

The fox motioned off-stage. The cameras panned until they revealed a private booth where a handsome cheetah sat along with the showgirls who leaned on either side of him. When the cheetah felt the spotlight upon him, he got to his feet and raised both arms over his head.

"This is our buyer, Chirov," Reuss said off-camera, his voice amplified. "He'll be determining our contestants' fates."

"Chee-rove," Chirov shouted. "I em Chee-rove. Eets a foreign name. I em not from here, see? I em beeg fan of Meend over Matter. I em honored I em able to be here live!"

"And we're honored to have you!" Reuss replied. "We've got quite the show set up here for you. May you enjoy it."

"Oh," Chirov said with a smile, wrapping his arms around the showgirls. "I em sure I weel."

The camera panned back to Reuss and the contestants.

"Like I was saying," Reuss said. "When one of our contestants gets the question right and the other it wrong, Chirov--"

"CHEE-ROVE!"

"Chirov here will determine their course of transformation. In addition, he will take whoever loses as his sole prize. Before we move on, we've set up some clips here, so those of you who missed the last strike-out can get familiar with our contestants. Let's roll it." Ruess said, pointing to a large TV screen in the back.

The stage lights dimmed until no one was visible upon it. Then the screen lit up.

"This is PREVIOUSLY on MIND OVER MATTER," a deep voice boomed.

Cliff and Garth both showed up on the screen from a previous episode where they were in the midst of answering a particularly tough question posed by Reuss. The deep voice boomed again as the first red X marked the beginning of this montage and continued in fast motion until all three X's were lit across the penalty board. Then the footage slowed down as it focused Cliff. In the film, The buck cried shrilly as he was transformed into a wild barbet babe. Since this special showing of Mind over Matter was uncut, it showed her lewdly taking of her top for the whole crowd to see while she struck a striking pose. Cliff saw everything and was thankful the camera wasn't on him and his blush of embarrassment. Garth closed his eyes when the clip showed him strutting on stage as a female duck. The crowd particularly loved how the proud gator turned duck strutted with a sway to her hips toward the camera and gave the audience a little wink before blowing a sweet kiss. Then the screen went blank as the stage's lights came back on.

"A strike out for sure," Reuss said. "But those embarrassments are in the past. You've been both been given a second chance."

"Yeah, yeah," Garth grumbled. "Let's get this over with."

"So hasty," Reuss said. "Very well though. The first question: a disaccharide is..."

A) Two monosaccharides B) Two sweet C) Too sarcastic or D) A pair of charitable rides?"

Cliff gives Reuss a puzzled look. "A disacchar... what now?"

Garth grumbled at the question. "How the heck should I know?"

"Don't worry," Reuss said. "If you both get it wrong we'll just move onto another question. This is your second chance after all." He paused, and then added. "Let's hear it for our contestants folks, give them a little motivation."

The crowd started shouting in response to Reuss's words, but none of their responses were clear or intelligible enough to give either contestant a hint. After another moment, both contestants begrudgingly turned in their questions. Reuss read them over, a look of surprise flitting across his face when he read Garth's.

"Excellent," he said. "We have our first correct answer. Congratulations, Garth, you've been spared this round. What's our buck's gender going to be, Chirov?"

"Ees Chee-rove," the cheetah said as the camera panned over to him. "Meek him a wooman."

Reuss nodded. "As you wish."

Cliff grimaced as the familiar glass dome fell over him. The buck would have struggled if he knew it would help. Instead, he grit his teeth and held his breath as long as he could as the pink gas flooded the chamber. Soon enough, he succumbed and squirmed as he felt the awful sensation of his manhood shrinking up like a plastic bag with all the air sucked out. Before long, his shriveled manhood was pulled inside him, leaving her with feminine nethers. Trying not to think about her problems downstairs, Cliff moved her eyes elsewhere only to watch as her wonderful biceps puffed out and become round, full hemispheres. Cliff whimpered as they became large and heavy. She was sad to admit to herself that they were bigger than many of his previous girlfriends. Still very distracted, she didn't even notice her large 12 point rack shrivel down until they became two pointed like a doe. Looking away, Cliff tried not to touch it or even acknowledge the signals she was getting from her new sex; however, she could not resist for long and the dome stayed down till the pink smoke had completely cleared. Before long, she was exploring her new sex, much to her dismay as the dome cleared and lifted off stage. Embarrassed she put her hands down and gave the Chirov an angry snarl.

"I'll get you back for this, you freakin' alien." Cliff said in her new high-pitched and feminine voice, not really knowing what else to call the confident foreigner.

Chirov guffawed and stroked the feathers of the showgirl closest to him.

"You won't get a chance!" Garth shouted. "I'm smarter than you. You're going to be his prize, not me. Nice job trading that rack for a rack, by the way!"

Cliff huffed, covering her breasts with her arms.

"Moving on..." Reuss murmured. "Our second question might not be so tough."

"This parastacoidea is sometimes called a mudbug. What is it?"

A) A crab B) A sea urchin C) A crayfish or D) A waterfowl"

"That's easier?" Cliff whined.

"I said not so tough," Reuss said. "Never said easier."

Cliff whimpered. Garth, emboldened by the doe's lack of confidence, turned his answer in quickly. Cliff, feeling rushed, turned hers in shortly afterwards.

"Good job, Garth," Reuss said after reading the answers. "You got it right again. What are you thinking for our doe's arms and legs, Chee-rove?"

"Hmm," Chirov considered.

He whispered something into the microphone attached to his head. Reuss nodded and snapped. An instant later, the dome was over Cliff. The doe cried out in what might have meant to be defiance, but it only ended up sounding pitiful. Within the dome, a thick green smoke wrapped around her form. She shivered as she felt her legs meld together into a thick, serpentine tail. Scales covered the new tail as well as her arms. In the meanwhile, her hoof-hands shifted into four fingered clawed hands. The dome lifted, revealing the doe-naga hybrid, who found her lack of legs disconcerting; yet, found the ease of slithering very liberating at the same time. Cliff was speechless, not only did Chirov take her gender but he took her livelihood along with it.

"YEAH!" Someone from the crowd shouted to break the silence and the rest of the crowd soon followed with their own cheers at the exotic creature before them.

"I like it," Chirov added, though no one could be sure whether he said this because of Algera currently giving him a very seductive lap dance or if he was satisfied with Cliff's latest transformation.

"Stop staring!" Cliff pleaded. "Just...just go to the next question."

"Ok," Reuss replied with a nod. "Which of these is like a writing desk?"

A) Banana B) Raven C) Coat Hanger or D) Contact Lens Fluid?"

Both contestants were once again stumped. Cliff looked to Garth for even a hint, but the gator didn't seem to know any better. The answers were collected after a few seconds longer as both contestants decided to guess again.

"A kind of nonsense question," Reuss said. "With a kind of nonsense answer. Still, I must congratulate you, Garth, for getting the third one in a row right!"

Cliff groaned out what could only be called a feminine shriek of panic. She didn't expect either one of them to get the question right this time, and she certainly didn't expect that dummy gator Garth to answer correctly three times in a row. The dome fell on her and more green gas poured into the chamber, Cliff didn't even try to hold her breath this time. Quickly, her body began to break out with more black and red scales forming a pattern down her front side all the way to the tip of her tail. The additional scales seemed to sense when they reached the end of her body; yet, didn't seem to stop either. Her tail continued to lengthen, curl, and expand, until the majority of the floor occupying the pillar was covered by her new long body. In fact, Cliff's body was so long now, she didn't even know where her sex was anymore, though she could still feel it tingling to the sensation of the transformation. Her upper torso also felt pulled tight to her body, her large, jiggling orbs smoothed out until they were large and tight perky lumps offsetting her bosom from the rest of her long slender body. The dome lifted and she coughed one last puff of green smoke. The crowd watched in awe as her long body spun and coiled on stage like bizarre waves of black and red.

"Stop staring! Stop staring! Why is this happening to me?" Cliff cried out, not even trying to regulate the pitch of her voice now.

"Geev the lady some reespect!" Chirov called out in her defense. "Lettuce move on with the show, Reuss."

Reuss shrugged. "Ok. If this is going to be a straight win for Garth or--"

"No dramatics! Next question!"

"Fine," Reuss said, rolling his eyes. "What is a target hunter known to shoot at, that isn't actually alive?

A) Clay Pigeon B) Iron Dove C) Paper Goose or D) Flying Betty?"

While the contestants thought about the answers, Reuss continued to speak: "Remember Garth got the last three correct, you know what that means right, folks? Time for a savior round!"

"A what?" Garth bellowed. "If you get this wrong and he gets it right, you'll be transformed until you're tied. Are you sure about your answer?"

"I--" Garth snorted. "That's not fair!"

Reuss smiled as Cliff turned in her answer. The stumped Garth shook his head and then reluctantly chose one. He handed it in, trying his best to look confident on his way back to his place.

"What a stroke of luck!" Reuss said, building up Garth's hopes. "It seems our loser has made her comeback."

"No!" Garth shouted. "No! That just isn't fair. I answer three right and--"

The dome closed over the gator before he could continue his rant. Inside the dome, he curled his fists and awaited his fate. A mixture of pink and sweet smelling purple gas swept into the chamber. Immediately Garth's rough scales began to shed from his neck down, leaving behind smooth light brown fur. This was the least of his concerns. He reached for his diminishing genitals with increasingly slender arms, but was too late to catch his manhood as it shrank into the opening of her new womanhood. Her testicles followed shortly after, making her shiver in a mixture of uneasy delight. Her thick tail likewise withdrew, thinning and shortening until it seemed but a nub compared to its former size. Her clawed toes hardened and darkened before merging into hooves. Her hands changed in a similar way, leaving her with hardened fingers that were still dexterous but not at all fearsome like her former claws. She brought these new extremities to her chest as the flesh there bulged out into a pair of prominent breasts. Their size was large, but not as quite as big as Cliff's pair. The fur on lower torso also lightened into a stark shade of white that contrasted well against the light shade of brown. It formed an hourglass shape that started down by her nethers, thinned out by her midriff, then expanded out again to the base of her neck. Then unexpectedly, Garth felt his face begin to change shape too.

"What? No..." Garth groaned, unprepared for her new girly voice.

Her snout grew out until it was long and slender to match the rest of her feminine body. She felt brand new pointed ears grow out from her alligator ear holes and fill with light plush fur. When the transformation was complete and the dome was lifted, there stood a beautiful female gazelle with a traditional fur pattern and hips that could kill on sight.

"What the hell!" she squealed. "I thought you said tie."

"I must have misspoke," Reuss replied.

"What ees the problem?" Chirov called. "You look preety!"

Garth snarled at the cheetah, but such an expression was impossible for her face. It looked more like she was pretending to be angry and the crowd adored it.

"It's not over yet, Garth," Reuss said. "Who knows what will happen next? Cliff could very well lose his head."

"Doubt it," Cliff said.

"I'm just warning both of you, we're moving into some of the more difficult questions this late in the game. Which of these beers is 75% proof?"

A)Bolosky Barb B) Ytirian Yattle C) Parter Prince D) Right Wrong

Cliff giggled and wasn't even embarrassed about it. She knew the answer to the next question because she had a whole mess of it back home.

Garth on the other hand only drank cheap beer, she could never afford any of that 75% crap nor did she have the skills to make any.

"Oh, come on." Garth huffed, her soft breasts wobbling as she gave the crowd something to coo about, much to her dismay. Chirov gave her a soft smile.

"What a preety voice too," the cheetah said, staring at her in admiration. The showgirls whined, as the cheetah was no longer getting them the same level of attention they once had from the handsome stud. He pushed the two away and continued to focus on the gazelle as she turned in her answer. He very much hoping she got it wrong.

"Very well done, Cliff," Reuss finally said, after reviewing the answers. "You sure know your beer. What's going to happen for a miscellaneous change, Chee-rove?"

"Horns!" Chirov shouted. "And preety light brown hair! Make her gorgeous!" "Please no!" Garth shrieked shrilly, before the dome came down on her and filled with pure white smoke. Garth could not believe how quickly the tables had been turned on her. She'd been winning nearly all game, but now she was only two steps from becoming this cheetah's bedroom plaything. The white gas made her sneeze this time and with each dainty blow her horns grew from the top of her skull until they were long, slightly bent, and etched with wild ridges. Once she got her sneezes under control, her head felt like it was full of cobwebs as the hair follicles lengthed on top of her head, falling down the sides of her face. The hair felt alive as it straightened and pulled itself until her hair was stylized to match Chirov's preference of 'gorgeous'. A rogue lock of hair fell before her eyes as the dome lifted and just in time for the crowd to see, she pushed that loose lock away from her face and swished her hair in a way that drove the male crowd nuts.

"Perfection!" Chirov called, blowing a kiss to the gazelle. "Perfection!"

Garth meant to give the cheetah a harsh look, but the sight of him made her uneasy in two ways. First, she hated the thought that she could be his prize forever. Second, and most disconcerting, was that she felt a bit attracted to him. The more she stared at him, the more of an uncomfortable heat built up in her nethers. She looked away and to Reuss just as he asked the next question. She had to get this next question right, she just had to.

"Don't worry, Garth, you still have two more chances at freedom." Reuss said, "Don't let those new horns get you down. Maybe you'll even get this next question right."

"Morta is a type of wood popular by which kind of craftsman?

A) Construction workers B) Woodcarvers C) Home renovators or D) Pipe whittlers?"

This time Garth confidently stepped forward with her answer in hand. Cliff followed her, a less happy scowl on her cute doe face. Reuss shuffled the answers before reading them.

"And you did get it right!" Reuss announced to the applause of the crowd. "Off with her head! Actually, Chee-rove, what are you thinking here?"

"Feenish her!" The cheetah answered.

Cliff sighed as the dome went over her. She had been so sure that she wasn't going to get any more wrong, or at least Garth wouldn't get any more right. She stuck her tongue out in defiance when thick green smoke seeped into the dome. She was surprised when her tongue lengthened and fell out of her muzzle, forked at the end. The top of her head suddenly flattened as her ears withdrew into newly formed earholes. Her muzzle grew wider and broader as the teeth in her mouth fell out and disintegrated, save for two long fangs in the front. Her eyes moved farther down on both sides of her head and scales overtook the fur on her head until her entire form was covered by them, rendering her a true snake. The dome retreated, allowing the crowd to see the extent and completion of her transformation.

"Adorable!" Chirov murmured. "Jeest adorable! Thees cost a fortune, but I'm beeginning to theenk this was worth it!"

Garth giggled at the snake girl and was surprised by her own laugh once again. Still it was becoming more and more natural and Chirov seemed to like it a lot. She shook that thought from her head, her mind wasn't gone yet, so why was she thinking those kind of things? Did they give her something extra on her last transformation by accident?

Cliff kept her confidence high, for she still had two chances just like Garth and noticed that the gator turned gazelle was seemingly less confident than before. Cliff realized her answers were a little slower too, as if her head was a bit in the clouds.

"We're more than past the midpoint now," Reuss said. "Next question: Illegal leverage is a rule in what?" A) Soccer B) Chess C)Football or D) Baseball?"

Garth searched her memory. She knew she should know this. After all, she was the biggest sports fan back home, yet she could not recall anything about sports at this very moment. She guessed, sheepishly turning in the answer at the same time as Cliff. At this point, Garth was relying on the snake getting it wrong, more than actually getting it right.

"And we move forward!" Reuss said. "Let me ask you something, Cliff--was that a guess or did you actually know that?"

"I guessed," Cliff said, looking down.

"No need to be so shy. You got it correct! What are we going to dress this gazelle in, my esteemed guest?"

"Hmm," Chirov mused. "A preety dress, jest like the ones back et home. Oh and a nice theek collar made out of laced beads, very een fashion now."

Garth cursed her luck as the dome closed over her once again. Guess? She was going to lose just because her opponent guessed better than her? Garth felt like punching something but her flimsy swing couldn't hurt a child much less the proud cheetah she was thinking of striking. The chamber filled with rainbow colored gas as it attempted to fabricate a new dress for the gazelle girl. The gasses spun and swirled all around her making the general shape of it perfectly crafted for her new curvy body. The dress was a golden yellow and made her fur stand out in contrast. The center of the dress was cut away to show her elegantly shaped midriff and belly button. The dress clutched at her ample breasts for support instead of relying on straps but the cups were cut deep enough to show off plenty of her breasts. Also, the hem was set just right, so that if she bent over even a little she would show off all her secrets to the world or to one very handsome cheetah in perticular. Garth gasped for breath as a collar made out of pearly white beads formed around her neck. She quickly became accustomed to the tightness that felt oddly comforting, like a predator grasping at her throat. As strange as that thought was, it was also incredibly arousing. Still, she managed to keep her hands away from herself as the dome lifted and the crowd gaped at her latest additions.

"How elegant!" Chirov crowed. "How majestic! You are luking perfect, me dear!" He chuckled. "There's just one more theeng that needs chanjin'."

Garth shivered at the thought. Her mind--her mind was the only part of herself that she truly had left! She simply could not lose it! She just couldn't!

"Our guest is right," Reuss said gently. "This may be our final question. Are both of you ready?"

Cliff nodded eagerly. Without even thinking, Garth mirrored the snake, hating both how her breasts bounced and how tight the new dress was hugging her. She was humiliated and certainly did not feel prepared for what was to come.

"Very well. What might be our final question?" Ruess said, the showgirls reappeared on stage as per usual when the game entered the final few possible rounds of questioning. Poles appeared across each side of the room and Massa and Algera did a pole dance for the crowd while the lights slowly dimmed and flickered, the atmosphere becoming more dramatic.

"Okay, will Garth survive another round? Let's find out: In what capacity does a Crazit orthagonator serve?

A) Electrical B) Wave flux C) Ethereal Storage D) Interdimensional co-mangling?"

Cliff knew this answer. She remembered hearing about it on one of those infomercials on late night TV. Sure of herself, she submitted her answer without hesitation, sneering at Garth as she slithered by. The gazelle lifted her head proudly and strode towards the host with a little sway in her large hips. She kept a straight face on as she turned away, unwilling to reveal her complete lack of confidence in her answer.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Reuss shouted. "We have a winner! Congratulations Chirov, Garth is your prize!"

The crowd roared as the spotlight fell upon the bewildered gazelle. She brought her hands to her face and began to sob as the dome fell over her for the last time. Mechanical arms pulled her arms away from her as she was forced to view screens of Chirov: his activities, his likes, and disturbingly what he looked like unclothed. At the same time, a multitude of audio feeds murmured to her, invading and reshaping her mind. Her memories became hazy and distant, those of another. Her own name, Garth, was not unfamiliar--it was just a name, after all, but not her own. She was Zhera. Zhera, the only female who could beat the handsome Chirov in a race and the only one who could keep up with him in his other vigorous activities, especially those by the bed. She knew she was beautiful and proud of it. She had plenty to show and plenty to show for it.

The dome lifted. Zhera ran past Reuss and Cliff, then gracefully jumped up to Chirov's booth. The cheetah caught her and the two embraced lovingly. They exchanged a quick kiss and then turned to Reuss.

"Looks like a happy ending, folks. See, dreams really do come true here on Mind over Matter." Ruess said, then added after turning to face Cliff. "How does it feel to be a winner, Cliff?".

"It feels amazing, I'm so relieved. I just want to get back home to my TV and my guns. I'd like to change back now." Cliff said.

"Of course, I bet you miss your southern comforts; however, I'm afraid it was never in our agreement to change you back, Miss." Ruess said with a chuckle. "You see, you're stuck that way. It just wouldn't be fair to the others who have struck out before and remained as they are. You're going home like that."

"What!? No way, that's not fair, every contestant that wins gets to change back at the end of every episode. Dadgumit, I know how this show works!" Cliff said, her voice momentarily wavering which made her sound like a whiny country girl.

"It's a special show tonight, dear, and that's part of the special rules. Now, you can either remain like this or we can finish up the whole transformation before you go home."

Cliff thought about this offer. She couldn't very well go back to the boys and booze like this--after all, she was one of the girls, like those she and her friends would often harass. Perhaps it was better to start anew. She looked at the ground, unwilling for to let Reuss see the defeat in her eyes.

"Just finish me," Cliff finally said.

"Are you sure?"

Cliff nodded.

"Very well. You're due for a miscellaneous alteration, a change of clothes, and a new mind in a moment. Hope you're ready!"

"Mind!" Cliff shouted in panic. "No one said anything about--"

The dome closed over her and the sounds of the host and crowd became muffled. Ruess walked up to the new cheetah and gazelle couple. They talked for a few seconds. After the brief conversation, the dome filled with more green smoke. The new clothes didn't take long to fabricate as they were merely transparent silk lion cloth additions over her newly rediscovered sex amongst her long coils. This was in addition to a flimsy thin bra that revealed more than it covered.

"What is thisssssss?" Cliff hissed, her forked tongue vibrating outside her mouth uncontrollably. She gasped. "What did they do to my voicsssss?"

Next came the brainwashing machinery. It kept her arms out of the way and her coils pinned to the ground as the whole dome turned into a multitude of TV sets aimed at reprogramming her. Before the voices had a chance to settle in, Cliff was dismayed that all the screens showed pictures of dancing snakes putting on a show for horny patrons.

"Noo, Not thissssss." Cliff said, before the murmurs set in to reprogram her memories, replacing all her thoughts of TV, beer, and her favorite activity duck huntin' with those of dancing, sex, and scandal. Soon, she could not help but think how good it would feel to get back to her day job as a dancer and her night business that paid great dividends in currency and pleasure. When the dome lifted, there was nothing left of the rough redneck Cliff. In her place was the wonderful Carrie, the snake charmer, ready to give a lap dance to any paying customer and much, much more to those with deep pockets.

"Again, perfect! You are artiste, Re-use!" Chirov shouted.

"Reuss," Reuss said.

"Ah, of course, Re-use."

Reuss rolled his eyes. "Ladies and gentlemen, you might be wondering why Carrie here ended up as she did. Well, Chirov paid a pretty penny for the privilege to be here, so the dolphin up top only thought it was fair that our esteemed guest had a say in what happened to the other contestant on the off chance they did choose to go through with the rest of the changes. Here you see the results." Carrie raised her arms above her head and shook her hips around for the benefit of the audience. They cheered at the spectacle.

"Yes, yes, I thought eet feeting," Chirov added. "She'll be available at the neerest cloob and for the show's after party! I be there too!"

"You heard him right, ladies and gentlemen," Reuss said. "For those of you live with us today, feel free to join us afterwards. For now, though, the show is over. Thank you all for viewing this special episode of--"

"MEEND OVER MATERRRRRR!" Chirov roared as he clung to his lovely gazelle prize.
