Rain pattered against the windowpanes of the many identical homes in the vast suburbia of Apple Grove, the home our story takes place is 153 Orchard Cul-de-Sac. Like every home on the Cul-de-Sac, 153 had a small bunch of apple trees in the back yard. The rain fell in thick sheets, the dark clouds blocking the stars, as well as the moon, from all prying eyes even though none in the home were awake to view them. Travis was the only son of Martha and Jarred Wilson, the middle of five daughters each of the feline family. As with every family in Apple Grove the Wilson's put pride in their small patch of apple trees, tonight's rain was slowly dying down soon joined by a flash of lightning, thunder, and the cacophonous symphony was made complete with many alarm clocks going off.
"Sherry, Erin, Travis, Lauren, Amanda! Get up and turn those damn alarm clocks off!!" Martha wasn't the best morning person in the world, nor was she the best mother, but no one in the town dared tell the most high-strung lawyer daughter of a former sheriff their opinion, especially her children or her husband. It was a sudden four-way race to the bathrooms; the house only having two available for the children, Travis was of course the only one able to tune out the sound of the blaring alarm.
"Travis Elijah Wilson wake up or no computer for a month!" The shrieking voice of Martha rattled the windows as she burst into the young felines room causing him to bolt right out of bed and down stairs for breakfast while his sisters fought over the showers, he'd be the last as always which was fine by him.
"About time you woke up..." Jarred was the only one in the entire town that could put up with Martha, of course he also hit the bottle the hardest as well as chain-smoked the most per day, he seemed a faint echo of what ever the mother said, everyone knew he'd do what ever she told him and the rumor had it that was the real reason the sheriff's daughter married him.
"Uh-huh" Travis's reply was just as vacant as always. Travis's movements seemed robotic as he shuffled to the pantry pulled out a box of cereal and made a bowl
"We're out of milk..." Jarred muttered as he released a cloud of smoke and put out his fourth cigarette for the morning and walked off clutching his liquor.
Travis was the only one in his family in high school, his older sisters went to a community college, and his little sisters were both in the second grade. This was one of the few things that made the youth happy, if it wasn't for the fact that this was school and he had to be quiet during class and put up with the bullying of the popular girls that hung out with his sisters then he'd just love the place. The black cat made his way through the crowds of his peers making no particular attempt to dodge anyone as he made his way to his locker. Wearing his usual two shades of gray striped sweater three sizes to large, and black denim jeans Travis was the easiest to spot in the sea of colors that everyone else wore (minus the few others that wore dark clothing)
"Hey stripes, glad to see your still kicking" a rather chipper sounding squirrel chimed from behind him. Travis's tail furrowed at the high pitch voice, ears perking in surprise
"I will be kicking if you don't stop calling me that" Giving off a soft hiss as he opened his locker assuming the girl had walked off
"Awe, is the kitty cat in a bad mood?" The squirrel, Tammy, squealed in delight at the thought of getting to console a moody kitty
"Get. Lost. Now." Slamming his locker shut Travis carried his notebook off to his homeroom
"Humph! Be that way sour puss!" Tammy shouted after him and turned around bumping right into another fur "Oh! Hi Devin, have a good weekend?"
An Alaskan Husky turned his attention away from the water fountain and towards the squirrel a smile on his white and gray muzzle
"Sure did, better be going Tammy, have a nice day" The husky made his way to his own homeroom, shared with the feline. The husky's fur was the most wonderful mixture of soft gray and white, from the underside of his muzzle and down his neck and into the fur under his shirt, everyone that was attracted to him wondered what the rest of his fur looked like.
Travis was glad he sat in the back of every classroom; he was able to stare at Him without being seen. He didn't dare tell anyone the thoughts he had of being with Him, being held close to His chest by those muscular arms, resting his small maw on His chest... his small paws holding those much larger ones of Him. "Why doesn't he notice me? Sure I don't like being noticed that much... but he's different. Jeez... why do I feel this way about him? He doesn't even know my name. Not to mention he's probably straight and has a girlfriend, no one as attractive as him could possibly be gay, even if he was what would he want from an ordinary cat like me?" The feline propped his cheek against his paw as he continued to think oblivious to the sounds around him
"Mister Wilson! If you are going to insist on day dreaming in my class then everyone can thank you for a pop quiz!" a rather old, pompous Vixen shouted from the black board.
"Huh?" Travis had to blink his eyes and shake his head as he looked up to face the eyes of Miss Pembroke, the oldest teacher in AGHS, he had to fight back a deep blush as several of his peers snickered, even more so when he noticed that beautiful husky was looking at him too. Furious at the lack of attention she was receiving Miss Pembroke ordered the class to put away their belongings and take out a pencil for a pop quiz
Last bell couldn't of come any later for Travis, all day he couldn't keep the husky out of his mind, but then again the dog was always on his mind. Travis actually hurried to his locker, to beat the canine for the soul purpose of slipping a note into his locker,
Devin,
You don't know me, but we've been in this town since we were just children. This isn't the first note I've left you, and it won't be the last, time after time I have confessed to you my undying love for you via the anonymous note in your locker.
I want things to change, but I'm scared you'll turn me down, I don't want to face any more rejection, I have enough of that from the people that are supposed to love me, I don't want to face if from the person I want to love me.
Some would say my love for you is wrong, that it shouldn't be that way for me to love you. I know you'll probably think the same thing... I'm not a female... I'm a male... and I still love you.
Loving you since first grade,
Anonymously W.E.T
PS: W.E.T isn't a word, it's still an acronym
Travis hugged the note close before slipping it into the husky's locker and quickly putting his belongings into his backpack and running out of the building and into the rain for his walk home
Unknown to the feline a rather nosey squirrel saw what he had done,
"Well Mr. Sour Puss looks like you're slipping notes again... I wonder what it says, I'll ask Devin tomorrow!"
"How many times has your mother told you not to slam the door? I need my sleep!" Jarred seldom lost his temper, no matter what his children did he always seemed to love them, especially his son, but he didn't want to expose his son to the drunk he had become over the last thirty years of matrimony.
"Sorry dad... mum home?" Travis crossed his fingers as he ascended the stairs
"No, thank gods. I couldn't deal with her screaming right now." Jarred laid back down on the couch taking a long swig of liquor puffed the rest of his cigarette and put it out in an overfull ashtray as he closed his eyes for a alcohol induced nap.
Travis made it the rest of the up stairs and threw his book bag into his room and slipped into the bathroom closest to his room locking the door behind him. Slipping his clothes off the feline hugged himself as he stared at his reflection cursing himself for being so different, for not allowing himself a chance to get close to the canine he longed to be with. Finally breaking eye contact he turned his attention to the tub knobs and prepared himself a shower.
He worked soft pads across his body slowly, to clean everywhere, before he knew it his mind was once again on Devin Johnson... and his paws were working along his furred sheath and balls eliciting a soft purr from the teenaged feline as he continued to fondle himself imagining it was the husky's large paws working his small sheath to expose the feline maleness hidden within. Soon he was being wary of barbs as he stroked across the sensitive flesh with one paw, the other squeezing and rolling his balls causing a sense of overwhelming pleasure. Soft whispers of lust passed across the thresholds that were his lips as he reached his peak
"O...Oh Devin..." He stood silent a moment as he finished milking the last of his seed watching it swirl down the drain, he then shivered as tears mixed with the now cooling water of the shower on his face until he slid to his knees face buried in his paws sobbing over how pathetic he felt for not facing the canine personally instead being a coward and leaving only notes... being a coward, masturbating to dirty thoughts of someone he knew that he could never have...
The next morning his morning routine was the same as always, until he reached his locker, taped to the door was a yellow sweetheart rose and an unfolded note with only two words written
