#2 of The Half-Black

Another quick(ish) piece, this time involving my favorite species. A big thanks to all who read, comment, favorite, vote, and watch -- I shall do my best to respond to them all! For those interested, this is a piece of the Half-Black series -- a backstory to a character who will soon be making an appearance. Again, please let me know if you like the story!

He was tired. So very, very tired. He glanced behind, above, turning at last back to the female struggling on before him, nudging her with his snout. "Just keep moving," he urged, giving voice to the thought echoing through his mind. Just keep moving.

They'd been on the move for days now, trudging over miles and miles as fast as they could go, which by now was barely a crawl. Dragons weren't meant to travel on foot, at least not for such a distance, and especially not in their condition. He hurt everywhere. Dirt and blood clung to his once shining bronze scales, wounds both old and new adorning his back and sides. He held his right foreleg up, unwilling to let the bloodied limb touch the ground if he could help it, and had to make due with only the remaining three to limp forward.

Even still, he was faster than her.

Feriad could only offer feeble, desperate words of encouragement to his pregnant mate as she shuffled along, the dullness in her weary eyes sending stabs of pain into his heart each time the dragoness turned to look at him. She did not bear wounds as he did, but her swollen body suffered even more so as she shakily stumbled onwards, pushing her body to its limits. She could not fly, not as gravid as she was, and so they'd had no choice but to try to outrun the danger hot on their trail, hopeless as it was. Soon enough, she would not even be able to walk, and this realization hung heavy on the drake's mind as he tried to usher her forwards.

They had been foolish, careless, and it had cost them. Young and very much in love, Feriad had taken Lianess to be his mate and together they had made a clutch, the very one she was now heavy with. The owner of his own small but suitable territory, the bronze had never given much thought to hiding his partner away as she grew, the two of them carrying on in the open as though nothing could harm them. He cursed himself for his stupidity, wishing with everything he had that he might change the past, and so rid them of this waking nightmare.

There was another male who had watched them, hidden carefully while he waited. Another young drake, fire-red and ready to make claim to his own lands, bid his time with patience uncharacteristic of his breed. By nature he was bigger and stronger than the sleeker bronze, though his smaller cousin had the definite advantage of speed and agility, making taking him on a risky business. So the red had waited, watching the female grow ever more egg-heavy by the day. When she was so swollen there was no chance of her being able to flee him, he made his move. Feriad found himself faced with an opponent too strong to subdue, and he could not use his speed to his advantage without leaving his mate unattended. The best he could do was try to keep the other at bay while Lianess escaped, taking heavy damage in the process.

It was only by the skin of their teeth that they had managed to get away, losing the red in a series of tunnels and fleeing their own territory. Twice he'd caught up with them, and again Feriad had been wounded severely before getting the chance to slip away, his knowledge of the land his only advantage. They ran, never able to sleep for more than a few hours before the sound of their pursuer sent them running again. They ducked into any nearby cave or hole in the ground when he flew overhead, but as their pace slowed the red seemed to have decided to follow on foot, tracking their scent and growing ever closer.

"I...I need to stop," Lianess whimpered out, breaking the drake from his memories. He raised his head up to look at her, wincing at the fear and pain in his lover's eyes. "I'm sorry, Feriad, but I can't..." she trailed off, stumbling and very nearly going down before he caught her, bracing her with his head as best he could. The defeat was evident in her voice, making the drake's heart heavy as he simply stared hopelessly at her, nodding with as much enthusiasm as he could.

"Okay, okay...." He glanced around, his long ears pinned back against his head. He didn't have the heart to tell her stopping was an almost certain death sentence, and for more reasons than she knew. The dragoness had been so exhausted she hadn't even seemed to realize they'd left Feriad's territory a few hours ago, wandering into a wooded area that reeked of another drake. It was a gambit, and a desperate one at that - Feriad could only hope that the red would decide it wasn't worth entering into the territory of a much older male, one the bronze had only ever glimpsed on the horizon. If their attacker turned around, it was possible that they could slip out of the other's lands unnoticed and find somewhere to rest and hide.

Lianess, however, looked terrible, and Feriad had to give up on the hope that they could simply keep going until they'd reached neutral grounds. He looked about the area quickly, spotting a cave nearby that might just fit them, and pointed the dragoness towards it. As they squeezed inside, the female sank to the ground with an exhausted groan, Feriad wedging himself between her and the entrance. He stared at her forlornly, the swollen belly that had once given him so much pride now making him feel sick with despair. She was going to lay within the hour, if they lived that long, and once she did there would be no moving the delicate clutch. They'd be stuck, Lianess never abandoning her eggs and Feriad dying before leaving her. The faint glimmers of hope he'd tried to keep alight were fading fast, and he had to turn his head away to keep her from seeing the defeat in them.

It seemed he had just resigned himself to trying to rest when he heard it - the unmistakable sound of footsteps approaching. He leapt to his paws, body screaming in protest as he and his mate shared a look of pure terror. He waited, braced in the cave's entrance and dreading the inevitable. Sure enough, the red male came prowling out of the trees, yellow eyes shining with a malicious gleam as he caught sight of his prey. It appeared he was braver than Feriad had anticipated, and did not seem at all worried as he stalked towards the cave, a cruel grin twisting his lips.

"Well, now... no more running, little prey," the predator sneered, knowing he had his quarry trapped. He took his time moving forward, seeming to enjoy the anticipation of the finale, head held arrogantly high. Feriad made no response except to growl, preparing himself to fight to the last. This only seemed to amuse his pursuer even more, and the laugh that escaped the red was mocking.

"Oh, still going to put up a fight, hmm? How sweet... but you know how this will end up. I'm going to tear you to bits right in front of your mate, and then I'm going to smash your eggs once she lays. Not a bad start to my harem, wouldn't you say? A little bronze hen to warm my bed." Feriad could hear Lianess hiss in horror as he himself repressed a shudder, shaken to his core that there was nothing he could do to save her from such a fate. He tensed his weary muscles as the red neared, praying silently that he would at least take the other down with him.

Just as the red stepped into range to let loose a jet of flames, an angry roar sounded from behind the advancing male. The noise seemed to shake the very ground, birds scattering into the sky at the tremendous bellow. Feriad nearly fell backwards in shock, the red whirling around with a similarly frightened expression, too stunned to do anything other than stare. A massive shadow seemed to materialize from the forest, moving far too quickly and silently for something so huge. It rushed towards the frozen red, the air still ringing with the sound of its challenge.

A drake, black as coal and far larger than either of the two others came charging from the treeline, the magic that had kept its presence hidden washing away as it headed straight for the once-hunter. The red could do nothing but let out a non-dragonlike shriek as the shadow descended upon it, going down without even a struggle as the bulk of the other male crashed into him. Long, gleaming white teeth flashed, a ferocious snarl sounding as the newcomer began to tear into the smaller drake, rending his scales and flesh and spilling crimson blood onto the sand below. Feriad could only watch, stunned and awed, as his enemy was nearly ripped apart on the spot, surprise and agony filling the once victorious eyes.

The red finally managed to try and defend himself, the shock worn off enough that he was able to snap and claw at his attacker. He got in a few good hits, obviously at least somewhat used to fighting, before a heavy black paw slammed his head into the ground with a sickening CRACK. The drake howled, his jaw now hanging slack and horribly twisted, bone sticking through on one side. He began to thrash in a panic, tearing at the black dragon in an effort to get away, but it was all in vain. Ebony jaws latched quickly onto the screaming throat, and soon the only sound that escaped the broken mouth was a gurgle, blood pooling beneath the head as the whole body went slack. The whole thing was over in mere seconds, the aggressor who had antagonized the two bronze dragons now lying dead and broken, eyes staring sightlessly into the distance.

It wasn't until the night-colored drake roared his triumph to the sky that Feriad felt the terror set in. This creature, who was obviously the ruler of this domain, was a thousand times worse than the red could have hoped to be. Larger, stronger, older... and with a grasp of magic that far dwarfed any of the cheap tricks Feriad knew, the victorious male wouldn't have to put any effort at all into dispatching the bronze in his current state. It was already clear how he felt about rival drakes in his territory, and so as the hulking beast turned its bright red eyes over towards the mouth of the cave, Feriad felt himself begin to tremble. Behind him, Lianess could only try to see from under his legs, her own mouth hanging slack as she watched the black turn and begin to approach, paws thudding against the bloodied ground.

Unable to move as he was held transfixed by those fiery orbs, Feriad stood shaking before the other drake. There was no reading the expression on that dark face, but when he was only a few feet away from the cave the black stopped, nostrils flaring as he simply took in the scene in front of him. The bronze quailed, not even able to pretend to fake confidence in the shadow of such a creature, but he did not leave his spot. For Lianess, he would give his life, but he didn't bother trying to fight. Instead, he cleared his throat, voice coming out strained and desperate as he spoke.

"Please," he said, staring up into the guarded eyes. "We didn't mean to intrude. My mate, she..." he glanced back at Lianess, meeting her frightened eyes before turning around once more. "We were being hunted, and he drove us into your lands. Please, just let us go and I swear we'll never step foot in your lands again.... Please." It seemed all he could do was plead, beyond the point of pride now as he tried to reason with the other. He shuffled his feet, wounded leg still held up in the air even as the others threatened to give out on him. He was dead on his feet, he knew it was apparent, but he did his best to stay upright as he waited for the dragon to respond.

The black waited a long moment, sniffing at the air and seeming to regard the bronze before answering. His posture was poised, but he made no move forward as he tilted his head, peering back behind Feriad before letting out a puff of smoke. "Your mate," he rumbled, voice deep and entirely calm. "She's going to lay soon." It wasn't really a question, but Feriad nodded anyway, tail flicking behind him with unease. The black hummed, body relaxing slightly as he looked back at the red briefly.

"Chasing you," he mused aloud, fixing his dark red eyes on the bronze once again. "You're the one who lives just off to the south, though, aren't you?" He let out a soft growl, a bass sound that shook the ground once more and made Feriad flinch as he nodded. "So you knew you were entering into my lands. Betting on the fact that your friend there wouldn't chance following you, weren't you?"

His blood felt like ice as Feriad could only stare back pleadingly, knowing every word was true. He heard Lianess whimper behind him, and he lowered his head, ears pinned back. "Yes... sir," he answered softly, trying to appease the larger male with respect. The growl rose slightly in volume before dying off, the black taking a few steps backwards, away from the cave.

"Come out here."

Feriad cringed at the words, but immediately did as he was instructed. With one last look at his mate, who lay helplessly against the back of the cave, he trudged out into the open, limping. He stopped just in front of the hulking drake, head still lowered submissively as he waited. For a few minutes there was nothing, just the sound of breathing and his own heartbeat in his ears. He felt the heavy muzzle prod the base of his neck, making him jerk with fear and surprise as the other sniffed at him. Hoping he was not about to be killed, he simply held very still, allowing the other male to take in his scent as he shook before him.

The obsidian dragon began to circle around him, confusing the bronze male as that same muzzle trailed over the ridges of his back. It suddenly bumped into his left haunch, hard enough to nearly knock the unbalanced drake over, and the gravelly voice sounded again in his ear.

"Lift your tail," the black growled, breath playing over the dirtied scales. For a moment, Feriad didn't react, the words not really registering in his tired mind. Then, the command and its implications dawned on him, and he let out a sound of surprise and outrage, unable to stop the unbidden reactions. His head snapped around to stare in bewilderment at the other male, speechless at first.

"W-what?" he managed at last, unable to come up with any other response. His shock turned to fear as the other dragon wasted no time in snapping at his flank, just barely avoiding tearing through the scales. He yelped, cringing away from the angered drake, the disapproval in those red eyes making him instinctively fearful . He didn't run, though, and merely winced as the black snarled a response.

"You heard me perfectly well. And unless you wish to meet the same end as the other, I suggest you don't make me ask twice." The big dragon waited, staring expectantly at the bronze cowering at his feet. The long tail cracked behind him, signaling his impatience, and beyond that a low whimper came from the cave.

"Feriad... " Lianess whispered, and the sound of his name was enough to jolt the bronze into action. He felt his body flush, every instinct screaming in protest as he slowly nodded his head, straightening back up. Reluctantly, Feriad lifted his muscular tail up, curling the appendage over his back. Shame forced his ears to pin backwards as he exposed his rear to the drake behind him, hardly able to believe what was happening. He desperately hoped the incredibly embarrassing display would be all it took to appease the other drake, not wanting to think about what would happen if it didn't. He shivered as he felt warm breath puff out over his bared rump, teasing the sensitive scales and making him ache to jerk his tail back down.

"Good boy," the black murmured, making the burning shame erupt all over again. It was torture to stand still, presented to another male like some needy dragoness, but Feriad had no other choice. He would do anything to save Lianess, even if it meant shaming himself in the worst way possible. He'd never even considered being put into such a situation, despite the fact that he'd heard of drakes forcing other males they'd caught in their realms to do such things. His head was swimming, and so he was caught off guard when he felt a slimy tongue run across one hind leg.

"N-n-no!" he cried out, his tail twitching violently as he forced himself to keep it raised. "Please, don't..." he was cut off by a deep rumble, almost a growl as the bigger dragon slid around him, pushing its muzzle right up next to his own. He stared directly into the blood-red gaze, caught once more in the frightening visage.

"Be quiet," the drake commanded, side pressed flush against the bronze's own. Feriad lowered his head, whining softly in fear and submission, and he shuddered as the black slid his long tongue over his muzzle, leaving a trail of saliva that smelled of the other. He felt one foreleg raise up over his back, and gave a hiss of protest as the other male lifted himself up into him, the weight causing his good leg to nearly buckle under the strain.

"You have intruded upon my domain," the dragon growled, belly scales dragging over the ridges of the bronze's back. "And you have used me for your own gain." Feriad struggled weakly, trying to pull his tail back down but finding it trapped beneath the other's bulk. There wasn't much he could do with only three legs to support him, as any real effort would send him down to the ground. He tried to speak out in protest, but a sharp nip to his neck made him fall silent.

"Now... because I am sympathetic to your predicament, I'm not going to kill you. I won't even take your mate for myself, or smash the eggs she bears you." Feriad could only wheeze, the words making his ears prick up slightly in hope even as he struggled to get air into his lungs, the black's weight smothering. The huge male took his time, shifting over the smaller bronze with seemingly no care as to the other's pain. "What I am going to do is put you into your place, boy. I am not someone to be used... and you are going to pay for my kindness by being an obedient little hen." He shuffled his feet, one forepaw hooking against the bronze's hip as the other finally took some of his weight. "Drop for me, now, so I can mount you properly."

Feriad whimpered, horror and shame overtaking him as he realized he had no choice. Even if he did fight, the black would probably just take him anyway and then kill him for his trouble. Misery filled a pit in his stomach, knowing that if he wanted to save Lianess he would have to give himself over to the other male, right in front of her. For a moment he prayed the ground would simply swallow him whole, but no such relief came. Defeated, the bronze did as he was told, letting his front half drop to the ground with a thud, wincing at the pain of his injured limb being squashed beneath him.

Above him, his captor let out an approving rumble, settling into a true mounting position atop the raised rump, one foreleg pulling the bronze back against him. Feriad shuddered as he felt something huge, hot and wet rub up over his rear, the scent of musk blasting him in the face even as he kept his head turned away. The black had already slipped free of his protective slit, it seemed, and though he could not see the member Feriad let out a sound of fear and disgust at the obvious size of the other drake. The smell was overpowering, washing over the bronze as a trail of something hot and sticky was left on his scales.

"There we go," the big dragon crooned, dropping his hips until the head of his shaft managed to rub over the tightly clenched tailhole. A thick spurt of precum shot onto the sensitive flesh, the only lubricant the other would be receiving. Feriad jumped at the sensation, wiggling despite himself.

"Please, no!" the bronze begged, trying to pull his hips away. The black only chuckled, weight and paw keeping his prey firmly in place. He rubbed teasingly over the virgin star, leaning his long neck down to whisper into one pinned ear.

"Get ready to squeal for me, boy." He gave no further warning, hips lurching forwards to drive the fat cockhead into the vulnerable ring, slamming in past the resistance and forcing itself in with an audible pop! He groaned in ecstasy, the sound mixing in with Feriad's loud, shrill cry of pain as his anal vent was suddenly stretched far too wide. The bronze bucked and twisted with all his might, even his injured leg trying to propel his body up and away from the male forcing himself upon him. His efforts merely earned him a pair of jaws locking around his throat, a snarl coming from the black as the big male began to press forward, feeding more and more of his destructive member into the spasming tunnel.

Held in place by the teeth digging deeply into his neck and the crushing weight on his back, Feriad simply jerked and screeched as he was forced to take inch after excruciating inch of his conqueror's spire, feeling each bump and ridge of the massive thing as it invaded him, forcing his ring to yawn widely around it. His claws dug deep trenches into the dirt below, his chest practically being buried into the ground from the immense weight leaning on it. His wings feebly attempted to flare, getting no results as the male above him continued to press forward.

"Rrrrrgh," the black groaned, sending vibrations down the throat in his jaws. He pulled his hips back for a moment before jabbing back in, staring up a sawing motion that worked his thick, ebony shaft deeper and deeper into the other drake. He was merciless in his efforts, stretching the walls of his prey's ass wide around him as he laid claim to the once virgin passage. He didn't stop, not until he'd sunk his entire length into the squirming, screaming male beneath him, hips pressed flush against the other's rump.

"Such a tight little ass," he murmured, releasing his hold on the now bleeding neck as he paused for only a moment. He placed a paw on the back of the bronze head, shoving down and grinding the male's face into the dirt. "You're right where you belong now, boy - with your ass wrapped around a real drake's cock. Go ahead and scream, nice and loud so your hen can hear." His hips went back to work, setting up a fierce, quick rhythm of punishing thrusts that hilted him entirely inside the pinned drake. He strained against him, making him feel every inch of dragonmeat as he used him.

Feriad squealed and cried in pain, the sound muffled as his muzzle was forced down against the dirt. His ass felt like it was being torn in two, filled to the breaking point each time the black hilted inside him. He was powerless to defend himself, could only lie there moaning in agony as he was taken roughly, bred like hen in heat. There was no pleasure in it for him, his prostate simply being battered to the point of pain just like the rest of him. He couldn't even beg for mercy, his words stifled by the ground and his own howls of despair.

The bronze's only saving grace was that the black was not bothering with trying to last, simply caught up in punishing the other for intruding on his territory. It wasn't about the sex, it was about showing the rival drake who was in charge, hurting and humiliating the smaller male and thus claiming dominance over him. When he felt his release nearing, the older male simply ramped up the force behind his thrusts, rutting his captive with abandon and filling the air with lewd, wet slapping sounds as his hips met his rear. He growled possessively, biting down on the other's neck once more as he shoved fully inside and erupted, shooting load after load of dragonseed into the bronze's bowels. He roared around the throat in his maw, a sound of victory as he filled the conquered ass with his essence, pumping lightly in and out until he was spent.

Feriad yelled out as he was taken even more harshly than before, tears leaking from his eyes as he felt himself start to tear beneath the cruel thrusts. When the heat of the black's cum filled his passage he moaned in pain, shivering and jerking as he was filled to the point his stomach swelled slightly from the load. At last, the larger drake went still, and the teeth left his sore and bleeding neck a moment later, letting the trembling male catch his breath.

"Mine," the voice snarled in his ear, making him whimper and shudder at once. The black made no move to dismount, holding his softening length deep inside. He ground against the bruised rump, causing Feriad to yelp and squirm, incredibly sore. But the elder dragon wasn't done, and he reveled in the pained whines his movements elicited. "This is your place now... beneath me. Your mate will lay her eggs any minute now, right inside that cave... which means you aren't going anywhere." He withdrew suddenly, sliding his shrinking cock free and drawing another squeal from the ravaged drake.

Feriad was dizzy with pain, and for a moment he simply flopped over onto his side, panting and whimpering as the black climbed off of him. He felt used, degraded... and those last words filled his heart with dread. He couldn't meet the other's gaze, too ashamed and afraid to look his abuser in the eyes, but he heard the black all the same.

"Get up and go to your hen, boy. Rest and help her lay and tend your clutch." A paw curled under his chin, forcing the bronze head up so he looked the black in the eyes. "No harm will come to her, you have my word... but you'll be paying this debt for a long, long time."
