-Chapter Eleven-

I can say this is the beginning of a new season, yes? I plan for the next 10 chapters to

have a different feel to them. Perhaps it would make them better, or maybe worse. I hope

not. More importantly, I hope you enjoy and follow this series. I'm sure the protagonists

would enjoy that too.

  • Last Chapter: -

Raiko has a bit of fun with Monk, and proves that same-gender sex can be quite

pleasurable. All the while doctor Oscar worried about the master plan for the restoration

of the demons' world. A long and arduous ordeal, but that is something so obvious that it

doesn't have to be ever mentioned. He gets a call from his older son, Francisco, and a visit

from Lestat. The devilish lightning wielder reveals truths to the doctor, perhaps more than

he can handle. And he leaves the human with a binder, information from the hand of an

old friend.

What comes next, it is uncertain for all of them.

"The Study of Demon Anatomy: Incubi and Succubae

By Fabien de la Lorca

Demons are a fascinating species, far unlike any other. Having the privilege to come in

contact with a few specimens, I was able to study their biological structure in its full

splendor. Following is all the data I was able to collect, organized as well as my assistants

could manage.

*NOTE: Updated on 10/15/11. Please not that it's not finished*

{Fabien's Note: Needs reformatting...}

I. Incubi

A. Anatomical Similarities

These hypersexual demons are humanoids; the term defines itself with a heavy resemblance

to the homo sapiens. Incubi, the male gender of the species, will be heavily similar to the

average male. The way their body processes everything is perhaps the most notable

difference and the most fascinating.

1)Blood: If viewed on the electromagnetic spectrum, demon blood is very unique, revealing a signal similar to electricity. They call this "Aura", and it affects the color of the blood. Requires extensive study.

2)Semen/Sperm: Unlike the human version, demon semen is spermless. It also seems to carry many more nutrients, it may perhaps even be nutritional.

3)Breathing: Instead of a trachea and esophagus, demons own only the esophagus. The inhaling and exhaling is still being studied, following an intricate system unique to these demons.

4)Intestines and Stomach: These demons technically do not require to digest in order to nourish, thus, organs such as the intestines, liver and similar are not required. Instead, the rectum is connected directly to the stomach.

*As stated above this document is incomplete as more research is being done at the

moment. Future documentation will include other demons such as Manticores and

Chimera.*"

Dr. Oscar flips past the initial page of the binder, focusing on every picture provided in the

binder closely. He could not hide his disgust.

An outrage.

Bodies of demons cut open and sliced with surgical precision into many layers. Just like

what they used to do in the anatomy books of old.

  • "Did those demons willingly give themselves for research...?" - Doctor Oscar whispers to

himself, a ridiculous question.

  • "He killed them, found them dead, or had them killed. What in god's name are you

doing, Fabien..." - Disbelief and confusion filled the doctor. He knew his partner was

ambitious, perhaps even obsessive, but he never thought he'd resort to death. "All means

to an end" would be an appropriate phrase for this. Nothing justified this though.

In another part of his mind, he wanted to know more. An even smaller part once pondered

that idea; how would the demons look inside. But not once did that ever got any further.

He just took what was given, maybe a bit more, and documented it. This information

would make his work even more complete. But it was not his information. And why

would Lestat give this to him? What does Lestat have to do with Fabien? Could he

possibly have helped with the finding... or even killing, of those demons?

Dr. Oscar's stomach churned and twisted, and that was his cue to close the binder and slide

it away. It tilts off the test table, landing very appropriately on the trash bin. The autopsies

and segmentations depicted very clearly did not interest the doctor in the least. And at the

same time, it was an odd feeling. He could handle seeing humans in such states, but not

demons.

  • "Fabien..." - all these questions and confusion troubled the doctor. He looked down

blankly at the metallic table, hunched over, supported from his hands. He might as well

have been weeping.

He was not going to accept that, as crucial as the information was. Whatever means where

taken to acquire all that information, none mattered to the doctor, and they most likely were

flawed. He took the binder from the trash bin and dropped it in the incinerator. It took a

second and a half to turn the plastic binder and its hundreds of pages into ashes.

  • "He'll probably have that all backed up..." -

Oscar slumps back on his gray office chair, taking off his glasses and holding them over his

face. They're cleaned using his lab coat after breathing into them, the hot breath fogging

them up for more appropriate cleansing.

He sighs. Three hard knocks are heard on the wide double doors.

All that disgust and indignation had to be shaken away, didn't deserve another line. Duty

calls.

  • "Doctor, I believe we must meet now." - Hoyt's voice is heard, the doctor turns to face

the ice demon.

  • "Yes, right, enter." - the cue is given. As he steps inside, suddenly the air in the room is

much, much cooler. Oscar shudders.

  • "Let's begin shall we?" - the doctor leans on the test table, Hoyt standing at the other side.

  • "Let me tell you, doctor. If that last plan was yours, it was badly worked out. Spreading

the team like that was a bad strategy. And Yun should've known better. I thought Blues

where better trained." -

  • "That's why you're here general. If we left all the planning up to me, the world might have

just plunged sooner into its impending doom. As intelligent as I am, whatever strategy I

come up with will stand pitifully besides your planning." - the doctor chuckles lightly.

  • "Thanks for the compliment. Now, what do you have in mind so far?" -

  • "I was thinking of giving the major demon cities a scan. It's been a year since our last scan.

And as far as setting order, by ourselves, it has been too risky. Too much chaos for our

numbers to deal with." -

Hoyt half-nods.

  • "Perhaps you and your troops can guide us through the cities. None of the demons that

joined me have much general knowledge of the demon world. You might have a map we

could use?" -

  • "Indeed. I'll bring it in a moment. What else have you thought of?" -

  • "I don't want to hasten myself. The scan may take weeks by itself. With that information,

we may have a better structure of how to deal with the chaos and restore order." -

  • "What about the royal families? What's their status?" - Hoyt asks, intrigued.

  • "The only royalty we can visit are the Wind Wielders and the Angels, and because of their

sons' apparent treason, approaching those territories is a severe risk." -

  • "How many blues do you have?" -

  • "Wind, Angel, Water, Fire, Thunder, Shadow, Earth and Time." -

  • "Doctor, just like the military could aid in this, so can the royalty. The royals may not

care much about their 'lesser' brethren, but they can be negotiated with." -

  • "Until now, it had never been an option, general. What about the other military factions?" -

  • "My word will set them moving. So let's organize for this primary phase. We need to

scan the major cities, negotiate with the royal families and set my military moving. Our unit

is composed of how many?" -

  • "Twenty-two, unless you include yourself." -

  • "Of course. We can assign one group for the city scans, they just need to watch and

report, since actually putting order to the chaos these rampant demons are capable off is

well near impossible with such a small unit. The Blues will deal with the royalty, since

royalty only talks to other royals. My males; and female, will take care of spreading my

orders." -

  • "This is going quite well for a first half-step. So, separating the groups by names...

Sebastian, Rafael, Rude, Ariyoshi, Hayden, Jason, Boto and yourself, to handle the royalty,

yes?" -

  • "Indeed. Yun, Monk, Maseng, Rose and Gale will handle my orders." -

  • "Dose, Raiko, Tobey, Gai, Alex, Yuri, Aoi and Nina will scan the cities." -

  • "So, we are set then? Let's call them up for briefing." -

The first phase of the plan was ready, or at least as ready as it could be. The demons were

called one by one to reunite at the lab for briefing. A sense of duty enveloped all of them.

Determination. The base was silent.

Operation Rebirth had begun

We were assigned to the city of Lisao, a mirror of Sao Paulo, Brasil. Apparently, our

realm is composed of mirror versions of the human world. This is the place I lived most of

my life, and Sao Paulo was where I usually fed. I had never known this until now, and if it

weren't for the current situation, I probably never would have. But knowing the names of

where you are and where you have been give you a true sense of being somewhere, you

know? It's a little amusing that it took me a few decades to learn this, though.

Lisao had a small, central town with a big water fountain in the middle of it all. We lived in

the outskirts, at an outhouse near a lake. Days where beautiful there, the nights enchanting.

The lake water captured the night sky and the brilliant moon when it shined fully. And

whenever you looked at the city, it would give a unique, soft yellow glow.

It was very near to the Angels' Kingdom, which by itself was near an Outer Shore. As far

as our world as whole, it was called Pangea, which the doctor said was the name of Earth's

original supercontinent. The doctor always adds those little tiddybits of information that are

useless yet interesting.

This was all thanks to Hoyt's map. I hadn't noticed just how uneducated the common

demon populace was, it made me feel embarrassed. The reds minded their business, the

royals their other business, and it was up to the wingless to protect the realm. I can now

appreciate Yun, Rose, Maseng, Gale... even more.

Today, however, the once yellow and blue colored city was all in a depressing grayscale.

The sky was clear, unlike our other visits. Before the pandemic, these streets were busy

with life, and above them as well, demons walking and flying and talking. After, during our

occasional scans, they were chaotic. It's really hard to describe the rampant, collective rage,

confusion, fear, which could be felt and enveloped the ruined city like an evil miasma. But...

now, it's not even that. A mere shell of itself. Everything's destroyed. Makes me want to

weep. I'm sure I'm not the only one. As we fly slowly approaching it, I tilt my head to see

the others. No one wanted to break down, mid flight, but it took some effort. Our home,

in such a state...

Oscar and Hoyt called our little group the Alpha Unit. Tobey, Gai, Nina, Yuri, Aoi, Raiko,

Alex and yours truly. Splitting would be a bad idea. Yuri, Aoi and me decided to check

the outhouse before anything. Ten long years since I last slept there, since I sat on the

lakeshore to see the silver reflections.

When I got there, the place was surprisingly untouched. And it was nostalgia that filled us.

Yuri and Aoi shook off the terrible initial feeling and giggled their way into their old room,

while I walked to mine. So much as precious things, we didn't really have any. Demons

don't attach themselves to material things. But the memories where a sort of bliss to

remember. I walk into my old room with Raiko.

  • "Heh, I wish Rafael were here." - I smile warmly, caressing the messed up sheets of the

bed we used to share.

  • "If anything, there's no electricity here." - Raiko clicks the light switch on and off like a

child.

  • "Heh, where do we get electricity from?" - I had never wondered...

  • "The military. Or me." - Raiko nudges my shoulder and grins, I smile back.

  • "Guys, let's go, there's much of Lisao left to scan." - Nina said as she stepped into the

house for a moment.

It was a nice period of side-tracking.

I sigh to myself. Duty calls. Lisao was just a quarter mile away.

We'd start at the fountain, and spread in a circle from there, converging back at the

fountain, which was the plan. Our original plans were done during flight, since landing would

be a bad idea when there are so many crazed demons thrashing around. But now, it was

absolutely, palpatably desolate. What could possibly threaten us? And none of us could

really get lost here.

I walk, and walk, looking side to side, lifting rubble and debris, opening doors, calling out

in vain, sniffing even. Could everyone just kill themselves? Mass suicide? The thought

made me sick.

Then, who would want to kill so many demons. Genocide... Manticores? We had a truce

with them. But maybe they decided the truce was longer valid because of the Pandemic.

A flawed excuse, but they'd use any just to get here and kill a few of us. And... Chimeras.

Our only predator. Those things appear very rarely. But, if anything, it was the most likely

possibility.

Walking and walking fruitlessly gets me to the outskirts of Lisao. It had just been a few

minutes. Nothing but the grayed out vegetation. At least that remained. I sigh, time to turn

around.

Then a hand grips my left leg tightly.

  • "The Chimeras!! The Chimeras!! Save me, please!!" -

What the?! I jump out, and quickly search for whatever grabbed me. I have to lower my

head and look at the ground to find it... him. An incubus. Battered, bruised, beaten,

bloody. And for a few minutes, I just remained staring at his eyes, feeling his pain, and not

really knowing what to do. He panted quickly, as if he could stop breathing at any

second.

  • "Are you the only one here?" - I finally managed to stutter.

  • "The Chimeras...." - he just muttered and looked down, visibly shaking. I noticed that he

was pinned under some ceiling debris. His bloodshot eyes then looked back at me as I knelt to

help him out.

  • "I- I'll go look for help, I'll be right back." - he just slumps his face into the floor, still

shuddering and whining.

What am I supposed to think now? What are we supposed to do with him? I dashed as

quickly as I could back to the fountain.

  • "Guys, a survivor!" - Raiko, Yuri, Aoi, Gai and Nina were already there. I motion them

to follow me.

We arrive quickly surround the wounded demon. Everyone's worried.

  • "Are you hurt?" - after a minute or two of silence, Nina's the first to speak, leaning closer

to the demon.

  • "I... don't know. I've just been running around looking for people, the Chimeras took

everyone. I'm hungry... I just want to sleep..." - the wounded demon sighed as he finished.

It really seemed to be a struggle for him to talk.

  • "I can see." - Nina places her gentle hand over the demon's shoulder. She closes her

eyes and a warm pink glow surrounds her hand. The demon seems to react to this, and

takes a deep gasp, his chest visibly expanding as he inhales. Then he exhales.

  • "You're stable. Those are all just flesh wounds. I'm guessing everyone was in a similar

condition?" - Nina asks.

Gai removes the stone that pinned the demon, and helps him sit. He looks down.

  • "Yes but... but... but... the Chimeras... " - he mutters. - "They eat them whole, their

members like another maw..." the demon starts to sob and falls on Nina's shoulders, she

hugs the demon, clearly affected by his condition, doing her best to console him.

  • "Were here to help. You're safe with us." - she said in an angelic voice, expressing what

any of us would say. - "Do you have a name?" -

  • "Ch-charles..." - the demon shivered still, holding Nina tight.

  • "They said something about setting order if necessary, but they didn't say anything about

handling survivors. We can't just carry him with us, but we can't leave him here, not even

with one of you, and we can't take him to the lab." - Nina ponders, looking at us.

  • "Let's just ask the doctor." - Raiko said, looking at the wrist device we're always handed

in our missions. It buzzes in." -

  • "Nuenberg. What's the status?" - the doctor answers from the other line.

  • "Everything's destroyed. Instead of finding everyone killing themselves, we found a

survivor. What do we do with him?" -

  • "What... space here is limited... and if you bring in one of them, you have to bring all of

them. And I'm sure that place is completely unsafe... escort him, we'll come up with

something." - the doctor buzzes out.

Nina stands with Charles, supporting him. It wasn't cold, so all his shivering must be from

the deep rooted fear. So Chimeras did this...

I examined him for a bit. His hair was unkempt, giving hints of a silky texture, it covered his

eyes. His jet black hair and dark brown fur were all dirty and bloody. It was a pitiful

sight.

  • "Wait, where's Tobey and Alex?" - We couldn't go without those two.

  • "Oh, let's look for them. We have to move on." - Raiko answers. We walk back to the

fountain.

  • "We can't afford to split again. Let's go this way." - Gai growls, pointing at the middle

path.

We move together. Just a few meters into the path, a different smell catches my senses. It

was heavy, musky, coming from the same direction we were moving, and getting stronger

as we closed by. Charles became increasingly jittery and nervous, hestiating to move and

cowering with Nina like a scared kitten. She tightened her grip around him.

  • "What's wrong?" - she asked.

  • "The smell of Chimeras. Don't move me, stay here, let's go." - his voice was somber.

  • "We have to pick up our friend to move on. It's probably nothing serious." - she said.

Me, Raiko and Gai thread lightly as we step further, the smell was overpowering. We

followed it behind the ruined building. Deep growls were heard, struggling was heard. We

rushed, they must be in trouble. Indeed they were. Gai was under a Chimera's grip, and

Alex pulled one of its massive arms fruitlessly.

Its glowing eyes stared blankly at nothing. Tobey struggled against the towering beast's

tremendous strength, its thick fingers wrapped around Tobey's muscular torso. The

Chimera seemed to grin, with its massive fangs bared.

Our only preadator, our deepest fear, was standing there, about to devour my friend in the

worst way imaginable. They were even more muscular and vascular than Manticores,

which were twice our size. Their bodies were covered in fur and scales, it seemed

irregular. Horns protuded from their heads, and their tails where thick and frilled with

spikes. But, their worst asset was their hyperphallia... that's what they used to devour us.

Most of the time, they would seem to be guided by their phallus rather than their brain, if

they have any. It's not long and snaking like a Manticore's but thicker, to better

accomodate our species, their meal... and their scent. Just like we produce pheromones

that render humans helpless, they lure us with chemicals. And if we're too close, there's not

much we can do. And now Tobey was their victim. Big ol' Tobey. This can't be!!

These monsters stopped being a threat when the new Military Order had settlted, which I

believe was when Hoyt came to power. But apparently the chaos the Virgin Virus

produced meant that our greatest fears would all come in a single swoop to destroy us.

Tobey's muzzle was already inside the Chimera's vorish member, being shoved forcefully

into it. Thankfully, Tobey's big frame would make this process very slow.

  • "Guys, fuck!! Save Tobey, dammnit!!" - Alex releases the Chimera, finally accepting that

he can't do anything. The mutant human looks at us with desperate and angry eyes. But

what COULD we do? Alex grunts and runs to grab Tobey's leg and pull him back.

  • "Goddamn Chimera! Leave him alone!" - Alex growled at the top of his voice.

We needed to knock the thing out, kill it if necesary. Tobey had to get out, and with the

Chimera shoving him in, pulling him just wasn't going to be enough.

It just kept panting and growling in excitement, almost drooling. The girls saw what was

going on, and gasped in chorus.

  • "Raiko, you shock him, but be careful with Tobey. Gai, try and squeeze Tobey out of

him. I... I don't know what I can do to this guy, but I don't think my Hyper mode will be of

much use..." - I was frustrated. Was this the best I could come up with?

  • "Yuri, Aoi, Nina... just keep Charles safe, and stay out of the way." - I looked at the girls

and the wounded demon. Worry enveloped us all. They nodded. What could be done

against this thing? None of us except Raiko had powers.

I was gonna ask Yuri why didn't her superior smell didn't detect the Chimera pheromones,

but maybe Succubae are immune to it. No matter...

Raiko grabs the distracted monster's tail and stabs his claws into it, with some effort. The

thick skin was almost an armor by itself. Electrictiy courses through its whole massive

frame, in its distinct yellow glow and the crackling sound. The monster only twitches,

Tobey is now neck deep into the vorish member, struggling in vain.

Gai steped beside the immensely thick member, and squeezed it, so that Tobey would not

be squeezed any furter. Both of Gai's arms couldn't wrap themselves around the whole

thing. It made little difference, but we had to do everything we could do. The Chimera just

kept entranced in its feeding, immune to the shock and unaware of everything.

Would this thing have a weak spot? How effective would that be, anyway? The shock

was nothing... Maybe take an eye out? Both eyes? The tail... maybe castrate it. I was

disgusted at the possiblities.

  • "This is not working!" - Raiko was angry. He releases the demon and stops the shocking.

Hopefully Tobey was unaffected.

  • "Hurry!!" - Alex kept in a crescendo of panic...

  • "Its skin is like armor... And if that thing wakes up, it might just be worse..." - Raiko says.

I just growl to myself.

  • "Maybe..." - Raiko looks at the monster, focused. He dashes towards it and hops onto

the hard, flexing appendage. It was big enough for him to stand on it. With a hand placed

on the monster's thick shoulder, he pulls the other back. Lightning surges through it, visibly

turning it into a sort of jagged blade. And the monster still unaware. In an instant, he

thrusts and it penetrates the monster's core. The Chimera snaps out of the trance and cries

out in grotesque pain. It reached for Raiko, trying to pull him out, but it started to twitch

and convulse as the lighting rips throughout its body. Gai and Alex shove Tobey out of the

vorish phallus, and the Chimera falls.

Raiko pulls his hand back, clean as it started with. His perfect attack tore a thick hole

through the monster, and it didn't even draw blood. The electricity cauterizes the wound

before any blood would escape. We had just killed a Chimera. More exactly, Raiko did.

And Tobey was safe.

I was stuck in a slight state of awe and disbelief. Raiko hopped off the dead beast, panting

from exhaustion. The attack probably took a lot out of him.

  • "That was... smart." - I manage to compose, patting Raiko's back. I was so relieved....

too much relief to express.

  • "I was tired that my attempts to help kept failing." - Raiko growls and snorts. Then he

smirks, he was succesful this time.

The grins and Charles approach us.

  • "Are you ok, big guy? How did this happen?" - Yuri asks, caressing Tobey's big arm.

Tobey had a sad puppy face, whimpering. Alex hugged his waist.

  • " It was so sudden... not even the pungent smell to warn us." - Alex mutters.

  • "Tobeh wus scared... " - Tobey squeezes Alex.

  • "That took some effort." - Raiko looked at his arm and flexed it, examining it.

  • "Y-you killed the Chimera. I've never seen a-anyone do that. I've never heard o-of

anyone do that. You're like, Bellerophon!" - Charles stumbles toward Raiko with a

crooked, relieved smile.

  • "Well, I don't hope we come across anymore of those." - I sigh. Gai stomps, calling for

our attention.

  • "We have a few square miles to cover. Everyone... - Gai sighs. - "just keep calm. From

day One we all knew just how harsh this would be on all of us, on all fronts..." -

  • "If this was just the beggining, I really don't want to know what is going to come for us

next." - I mutter, looking at the sky.

...
