Imber sat right in front of Lagoon, studying his face with utter precision. He didn't even notice her, there was an ant on the ground. He seemed to be very interested it it.

She let out a small roar, getting his attention for the first time in a while.

"Are you feeling ill?" He asked putting his paw on her head to see if she had a fever.

"No, just look me in the eye. I have a magic trick I want to try out. Can I? Okay here I go!" He looked her in the eye. He was wondering if it was human magic she had tried to learn. After a while she seemed to give up.

"Did it work?" She asked poking him lightly on the arm. He shrugged.

"I don't think so. I don't feel anything different. Maybe you're not cut out to be a mage, Imber?" He laughed softly, but she just lied her head on the ground with a hurt expression.

"There's aboslutely no need to make fun of me, you know?" Lagoon smiled shyly at her and sat down.

"Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I saw this mage do it once and I was wondering if I could do it too." She began playing with her pointy tail.

"I think your main problem is that you don't have a wizard - looking hat and cape. Oh and they also have a magical stick! Maybe you should try getting those things?"

"You're right! Wait here, I'll be right back!" Imber flew away to get the things Lagoon had told her wizards used and came back to him shortly after with the necessary things.

"Uhm... at least the hat is pointy?" He said awkwardly noticing it was a colorful party - hat.

"Is there something wrong with it being pointy? I asked a human and it said that all wizards have pointy hats so I took his. I also took the humans cape and made him put it on me. Does it look good?" Lagoon looked at her stupidly short, green cape. It looked funny yet he lied and said it was great.

"Now I think my main problem is that I didn't say the magical words. I should try again."

"Wait!" Lagoon interrupted as she opened her mouth to say the magical words.

"First you need a magical stick! You can take this bone, I ate a sheep while you were gone." He smiled stupidly and handed her a long thick bone. Probably one of the legs.

"Thank you." She said shyly and even blushed.

"Okay here I go!"

Imber began murmuring words in a language long forgotten. Lagoon could feel the powers around them flower, he felt the horns on his neck rise. Her eyes went wide and they seemed to shine while she talked the magical language.

"Sam nomnomm... Don don non... You like Imber... She's very pretty... Nom nommomm..." She said like she was enchanting him.

"Wait, what?" Lagoon asked confused, turning his head slightly. She hit him on the head with the bone.

"Focus!" She said angrily and closed her eyes for a second to find where she was.

"Dim don don... Ask Imber out on a date... don don... You really want to go on a date... mon nom..."

"A-are you asking me out on a date, Imber?" He asked a little confused. She hit him on the head once more.

"Focus!" She growled and began chanting again.

"Dim doddely dom... Don't be a pussy... yom nomnom... Confess that you like Imber... rom diddely dom..."

"Do you want to go on a date, Imber?" Lagoon asked slightly scared of getting hit again. Her eyes went even wider and her smile was huge.

"I though you would never ask!"
