Unusual Love #4 (Clean)
#4 of Unusual Love
It was dark outside, save for a few street lamps. There were no cars out at 2 in the morning, so Lucy felt that they were safe. Sam was leading them through the abandoned town towards her house. She was still a little surprised at how Sam could have kept a secret this big from anyone ( He's a cat like me! But... more...human.) Odd circumstances, to be certain, but something about it comforted Lucy.
After about an hour of walking, the couple had reached the street Lucy's house was on. A large gate kept out cars and unwanted intruders, but Sam just let out a laugh when they reached it. " What's so funny? This means that we will have to go around the long way to get home-" she was cut off.
" I'm not quite sure about you, but I've been known to be completely insane with no regard to my own safety. Climbing this fence is nothing. I'll tell you what. I'll go over first, then you climb and I'll catch you, agreed?" came Sam's mocking response.
Lucy grew a little angry, but nodded anyway. With the greatest of ease, he scaled the metal fence as he would a ladder and dropped down on the other side with a crouch. Lucy had heard something and was sure that he had heard it too. After a motionless moment, he signaled for her to climb the fence. She struggled a bit, but when she reached the top, panic set in. Her eyes widened, her breathing became shortened, and her palms began to sweat If it were not for her tail grabbing the fence, she would have probably fallen off. Lucy looked down at Sam, and saw his face grow serious and grim. " Just fall towards me! Trust me! Come on, don't do anything stupid now!"
Lucy shut her eyes, and felt her body go limp as she fell ten feet down right into his arms. ( My knight in shining armor) she thought to herself. Sam let out a sigh of relief and set her on her feet. She stumbled and lost her balance, but was caught before she hit the pavement. " Heh, it seems that not all cats land on their feet. Come on, jump on my back. I'll carry you there." he said with compassion. Lucy jumped up with a burst of energy and wrapped her arms and legs around him, then rested her head on his shoulder with a smile.
Sam shook his head, but continued on. Even thought the streets here were cleaner, the emptiness still seemed to dominate the mood. Large houses on either side, some lit up, others completely darkened. It was a slow march and the minutes seemed to last forever, much to Lucy's delight. ( I wish I could stay like this forever! It's so soft, and warm, and calm) she thought lazily. The tiredness of the long day was starting to reach her, and she had to shake her head to stay awake. Sam stopped in front of her house, and stared at it with a contemplating look on his face. Lucy grew concerned.
" Lucy, how are the locks on the back door? I mean, what kind are they?" Sam asked in a whisper.
" Um," Lucy had to think for a second," one is on the handle, and the other is...uh... a dead bolt?" She questioned her own answer.
After a long silence, Sam set Lucy down and grabbed her hand. he crouched down and pulled her along. They ran at some parts, and walked at others until they reached the back door. Sam pulled a strange looking tool out of his pocket, and started to mess with the dead bolt lock. His face had a focus and determination that she had not seen before. Lucy envied him (Wow... he's so serious. Ohhh, I wish I could be like him. He's so daring and adventurous.) A shifting sound was heard, and Sam mumbled softly " Hells yeah."
When he started on the bottom lock, the light on the house next door came on, and Sam yelled "Balls!" He grabbed Lucy's arm and dragged her to a spot behind some bushes. Lucy wanted to peek forward to see if anyone was there, but he thrust out his arm to her chest and pushed her against the wall, slowly pushing her down. Since he was taller than her, he fixed his head on the window, looking over Lucy's head.
Lucy looked down and her eyes widened again (He touching my breasts!) her ears and face grew red, visible through the milky white fur and the moonlight, ( And... it's nice...) A smile formed on her face, and she looked up at Sam with a euphoric look. He was serious, and worried. Her euphoria was shot down when she heard a shout," Who's there?"
She panicked, and didn't know what to do. She thought she felt a pair of eyes look at her, but her thoughts lost control. Sam leaned down towards her ear, and softly whispered," I'll lead him away. The door is unlocked. When he leaves to follow me, go inside and lock the door. Open the second floor window by this tree. When I lose him, I'll climb up and jump in. Don't turn on any lights, okay?" Lucy nodded unconvincingly, " Don't worry," he gave her a kiss on her head," nothing bad will happen."
He sprinted off, still hiding in the bushes, as the unfamiliar footsteps got closer. From the other side of the house, shattered glass could be heard, most likely one of the old wolf's garden gnomes. He spun around, and dashed towards the sound. Suddenly, Lucy heard him yell," You! Stop!"
Lucy took the opportunity. She ran inside the door, and locked both of the locks, ran upstairs, and opened the window. Oddly enough, the thought never occurred to Lucy that the window led into her room. She could do nothing but sit on her plush bed in the darkness, and wait. A clock on the wall seemed to indicate time itself slowing down. Each second lasted for an eternity, leaving room for depressing thoughts to conquer her mind ( Maybe he got caught... maybe a car hit him... maybe he fell and broke a bone... maybe...) The endless stream of thoughts didn't end. Lucy pulled her knees up to her chest and started to rock back and forth.
A rustle was heard outside of her window, and her heart jumped, but it appeared to only be a gust of wind. Her paranoia grew faster now, and she thought about calling the cops to see if they found someone. She gingerly reached for the phone when a louder rustle could be heard. Before she could look, a figure pounced in from the window, tackling Lucy flat on the bed with the man lying on top of her. He lifted his head," And you thought that I couldn't handle myself. Heh heh, silly girl." Sam was back, and Lucy's heart did something that she could only equate to the best type of heart attack possible.
She grabbed his head tightly and moved her head forward as fast as she could to kiss him. She couldn't believe how much love she had for this crazy man, but she let her passion take control. Sam reached around her back to pull her body closer to his. Lucy couldn't help but let out a whimper of joy. He moved his head down so he could kiss her neck when her cell phone rang. She reached for her cell phone.
" H-hello?' she struggled to keep her voice steady.
" Lucy? Hi, this is Cindy. Are you okay? I sent Mark over to your house to check on you. He can spend the night for safety. That creep you were with is-"
" Alright, listen up you snobby brat," Lucy had so little self control that her true thoughts were coming out. She loved it," Sam is the best thing to ever happen to me. If you even dare to try and ruin it, I'll post those pictures of you and Neko on youspace. I'm pretty sure that the school would love to see some girl-girl action, am I right?" Cindy was speechless. Lucy indulged in her temporary Sam -style insanity " Now," her mocking tone coming through," why don't you call Mark, and tell him to spend the night over your house? I'm sure that you'll enjoy it as much as him."
"But Lu-" Lucy hung up and turned off her phone.
" I don't have time for dogs like her. They're always getting in the way," her tail wrapped around Sam's body.
Sam let out a good laugh, in which Lucy soon joined. They kept kissing and Lucy was the one to stop first," Let's just stay like this all night, you know? Just the two of us, lying here in peace and quiet."
"Alright, sounds good to me." said Sam
The two stayed locked in each other's arms for over an hour, when Lucy drifted off to sleep. She was able to catch one last gaze at Sam, and he said," Don't worry, silly girl. I'll be here when you wake up." Lucy gave one last smile before she succumbed to the night.

Lucy stretched out with a yawn as she awoke to the morning sun bursting through the window. " Mornin' sleepy head." said Sam, still wrapped in her embrace.
Lucy smiled, turned on her phone, and got cozy with Sam under the blankets. She snuggled close to him as she checked her 200 voice mails. All from Cindy. ( She just can't leave a good thing be.) he closed her phone and just rested her weary head. She saw Sam smile again as he hugged her tightly.
" I don't think I have ever had a better morning than this one," Lucy said, " it's all thanks to you. You have been nice, sweet, and have even fought for me. There is no one I would rather be with than you."
" And you are the best thing in my life... ever. Before you, I had nothing. Now, i feel alive again."
Lucy giggled," Glad I could be there, crazy man."
Sam laughed a little as well, " So am I, kitty."
