Unusual Love #3
#3 of Unusual Love
This is a direct continuation from last time. And yes, I have decided to keep this as clean as I can possibly make it. It's just easier for me.
"Come on," he said in a calming voice," let's go home. Don't cry, it's the weekend. This is a time to relax. Besides, I'm fine."
"B-but... they t-tried to h-hurt you." Lucy struggled to speak through her sobbing. " What if t-they try again?" Lucy heard something that she had never heard before. This...strange laughing. But where was it coming from? The tears had still flooded her eyes and she couldn't see very well. But still, the sound sent a chill through her spine. A laugh...coming from Sam.
" Don't worry about them. If they try anything I'll make sure they'll regret it, Especially if they lay a single finger or paw on you. Probably even a tail, but best not to get into specifics." He had just let out a laugh of an insane person, yet his voice had completely put her at ease.
So of they went, through the crowds of students and teachers, enduring piercing stares of confusion, fear, respect, joy, and confusion (that's right, I said it twice). The geeks rejoiced, the teachers had a smile, the jocks cowered, and just about everyone else was completely baffled. This cute, innocent catgirl, one of the most popular girls in the school, had just kissed the creepy loner. Much like contemplating the size of the universe, it gave them splitting headaches. But still, inside it looked right. A calm and collected guy had a cute girl wrapped around his arm, resting her head on it. Her tail swaying back and forth happily. Her friends wanted to say something, but couldn't bring themselves to.
" Umm, is this what it feels like to you? Having people stare at you all the time?" Lucy asked as innocently as possible.
" Since I was born" came the brief answer. " I never had the luxury of being popular or loved by the people. I was just a freak, in more ways than one..." Sam seemed to fade off at the end of this remark. Lucy took notice, but didn't know what to say. But a spark just went off in her head.
" Hey, uh , my mom is going to be home late and I forgot my key, so... can I come over to your apartment until she gets home?" Lucy's eyes grew large and stared into Sam's. Only a monster could say no to them. So off they walked, towards Sam's apartment. About 10 minutes later, they arrived at the door.
" It's kinda empty and small, so don't be shocked." He opened the door and Lucy understood. There was a couch and a TV in the main room, a tiny kitchen, and two small rooms in the back, the one with a toilet was the bathroom Lucy correctly deduced. " You can put your stuff in my room back there, by the way, do you want anything to drink?" Sam said as he pointed and threw his stuff down by the door. Lucy smiled and shook her head no as she went to the room.
It was simple and kind of bland. His bed was pretty messy (she didn't see him as the messy type), a dresser in the corner with an alarm clock, a radio, and a small nightstand by his bed with a single picture on it. Lucy gingerly put her things on the bed and her eyes quickly noticed something odd about his photo. Maybe they were just his friends, or he was adopted, or something Lucy thought, I have to ask him.
As Lucy exited the room, she saw Sam sitting on the couch playing a video game. I didn't see any system Lucy thought. But curiosity got the best of her. She took a seat next to Sam and set her arms on her knees as she slowly looked up at Sam and said," Who were those people in the picture?"
"Ahhh, good times. They're my family." He replied as he paused the game. He saw the confusion in Lucy's eyes and decided to explain." Tell me, do you know the odds of a human being born from anthro parents?" Lucy shook her head no."Well, it's close to .01%, assuming that there is a human in the family tree. Now answer this, what are the odds of a human being born from a family with no human anywhere in their history, not even through marriage or 'one night stands'?" Lucy felt her jaw drop. Impossible, it can't be. her mind began to race. He has to be adopted, or something. " Born from my mother's womb. From what I heard, the doctor crapped himself, ha ha ha." Sam was so calm, a couldn't help himself from laughing. " What, you didn't think I was just a super human, did you?" he kept laughing.
Lucy couldn't grip the concept. A human, born from a family of cat anthros, with cat-like traits, it was just too much. But, she felt that feeling again, just like when she first looked in his notebook. Not only did he not like displaying his abilities, but he didn't want to tell anyone about it. Like it said in his book, "... fame is for those who can't be content with themselves." He just became more attractive to her. Without knowing it, she began to crawl towards him on the couch. Sam saw the look in her eyes, just like the first time in her bedroom, a deep, burning desire. Damn, and I thought I was lonely Sam joked to himself, What can I do? Might as well brace myself for the pounce. And then Lucy pounced.
They both were pretty well adjusted to each other's kiss, and they both loved the feeling of their bodies touching. Even though Sam's couch was no where near as comfy as Lucy's bed, they didn't care. As long as the other one was there, nothing could compare to the passion they had for each other. After about ten minutes, Lucy stopped kissing, and fell asleep on top of Sam. Well, he thought, she has had a stressful day. So he yawned, put his hands around her, and decided to take a little cat-nap himself.
As he was settling himself in, he heard a gentle purring coming from Lucy. Sam couldn't help but smile. The the phone rang and Lucy jumped about five feet in the air, and her knee happened to land (in slow motion, mind you) right...on...Sam's.... Anyways, Lucy looked terrified as his face showed a display that only a certain hit on a man can trigger. Still, he answered the phone by the couch. "h-hello..."
"Sam right? From school? It's me, Cindy. You know, your study buddy? From Comp lab? Please tell me that wasn't you that kissed Lucy. She has enough good men after her, you'll just confuse her. So... please stay away-"
"here" Sam said, still in pain, " I think it's for you..."
Lucy grabbed the phone," H-hello?"
"Lucy? Is that you? Stay away from him! He's dangerous! Get out of there! Look, Mark's a good guy, and he has a crus-" Lucy hung up the phone.
"God, what a pain in the ass, " Lucy hissed," she never did know when to shut up."
"That's my girl" Sam said with a nervous laugh " now if you would be so kind as to move your knee, my boys would appreciate it"
"Ahhhh! Sorry sorry sorry sorry" Lucy completely forgot." is there anything I can do?"
" Don't worry about it, But if you don't mind, could you get an ice pack out of the freezer?"
Lucy practically jumped from the couch, straight to the freezer, grabbed an ice pack, and put it on the affected area(s). Sam blushed, and Lucy took notice. Then she saw where her hand was and blushed herself. " Um, I-I can take care of it if-" Sam was cut off.
" No, I did this, so I'll take care of you." Lucy felt a stronger tingle in her spine, then she felt her tail brush on his leg." This is my responsibility, so... just... lie back....." Lucy felt her animal instincts taking over again. She moved her free hand gently up his body, until she reached his face. Then, her head followed the same path, rubbing against his body as they were face to face again. With one hand holding the ice pack and the other cupped around his face, she leaned in for a kiss.
Later that evening, Lucy received a text message from her mother. It said that she was going to be away for the weekend, so Lucy would have to be home alone. Lucy and Sam, cuddled up on the couch, gave each other an awkward look after seeing the message. " M-m-m-my key! It's still in the house!" Lucy began to freak out.
With a sick smile, Sam said, "Then it looks like we'll have to break in." Lucy shared the same smile, as they looked lovingly in each others eyes.
Alrighty then. I'm proud of myself. I could even write a little story on my birthday. So, next time will involve breaking and entering. How exciting! But some questions remain unanswered. What will Cindy do to try to break up the relationship? Who knows! Will Lucy's mom ever get a name? Probably not! But stay tuned, because I'm going to show you the true meaning of cat burglar, minus the theft. Next time, on Unusual Love # 4. I really wish I came up with a better name.
