#2 of Gooshy Poems

Words apart have no meaning, but come together and they can speak the most beauteous of things.

~~Wayne Magill~~

For all the day and night I questioned

The wholeness of my pursuit,

And thought and thought I sectioned

Towards my emotions a-shoot.

To and fro my thoughts would wander

Across the emotions felt,

For his requite I would ponder

And leave my heart in a melt.

For soon the time arose

To unveil those thoughts of mine,

But it's felt only one knows

The depth of these thoughts divine.

For great ocean and great mine

Hath not the scope,

And not sunset nor sunshine

Hath such amorous hope.

Words themselves are small

And fittingly have no voice,

But I'd gladly write them all

In hopes of your rejoice.

For while "I" is a simple being

And without his sentence,

It may speak so of freeing

And rid itself of repentance.

For while "love" and those alike

Are simple verbs by themselves,

Together they may strike

As deep as two hearts delve.

For while "you" is just a calling

And for some is just a term,

'Tis the word for I've been falling

And the word I wrote in heart a-firm.

For though apart these words lose all sense

Together they pass all through,

They're without subsitute and hence:

I love you.
