The Path to Wonder for Sunkit by Draconicon
Landon groaned as he glanced back at his twin. Logan looked back, and they shared a look for a few seconds before turning back to the motel door.
"You sure...he's in there?"
Landon nodded.
"There's no way it's not him."
"But we've been looking for so long. If he's not -"
"Then he knows where he is."
Landon gently took Logan's hand, giving it a tight squeeze. He knew how his brother felt; the two of them had been following rumors of magic ever since that...incident...happened up in Seattle. They'd tried to find out where Mirari had gone, but it had disappeared off the map. Magic was the next best thing, but even that had been useless.
Until they heard of this guy. Holed up somewhere in Texas, the rumors said, was someone that could do magic. Powerful magic, from turning the trees to rocks to making fish fly. It had to be someone like the Mirari guys. And it was the only chance that the two of them had.
I just hope he's here. Landon shook his head before looking at his twin again. After giving his brother a kiss, he turned back to the door and knocked twice. A voice inside responded immediately.
"If you're an evangelist of any kind, get away from the door right now. I've already had three knocking today."
"Uh, sir? We're - we're not here for that."
"Oh. Then one second."
The door opened after a second, and standing there was a surprisingly normal looking person. He didn't have any real distinguishing marks about him, no real signs of being magical. Landon's heart sank a bit, and he heard a disappointed sigh from his twin. But he had to try. Clearing his throat, he held out his hand.
"Hello, sir. I'm Landon -"
"Are you sure you're not preachers?"
"Uh, no, we're not."
Their 'host' smiled.
"Good. So, what are you here for?"
"We're, um...well, this is going to sound silly."
"Go on."
"My brother and I, we've been, well, looking for someone with magic."
Landon expected to be laughed off, but the man talking to them nodded his head, opening the door a bit further.
"Come in. And my name's David."
They stepped inside. It was a quiet little hotel room, holding not much beyond a bed and a couple of pillows. A desk was pressed against the wall on the far end, but that was the extent of furniture. It didn't even have a television, which surprised him. It seemed that most places did, these days.
He sat down on the bed with his brother as David shut the door. Leaning against it, David looked at them with his head cocked to the side.
"So, why are you looking for a magic guy?"
"I..."
Logan took his hand, and David definitely saw that. Landon blushed, but their host smiled and nodded.
"I think I get it. Wanting new lives, wanting to be away from everyone that judges you?"
"Yeah...pretty much."
"Well, I think I can help with that."
"So...you-"
"I know some things."
David sat down at the desk, leaning forward a little bit. He looked between them, and Landon had to bite his lip to keep from pushing their quarry from saying more. It had been so long, but they'd finally found the guy.
So it was incredibly difficult to be quiet as David shifted back and forth in his seat, as if thinking. Landon bit his lip, and every time Logan looked like he'd talk, he gave his twin's hand a squeeze, keeping him quiet. He would not screw this up now. They were going to get what they wanted.
"I've been...figuring things out. And one thing I figured out is that I don't want to be traveling alone. So...if you want my help, I have two conditions."
"Name them."
"You'll stay with me after I transform you. You'll get to have a lot of fun with each other, but I need someone to stay with me for a while. It's going to be a long, hard trip, and I want some company during the days and nights. Fair enough?"
"Well, I've always wanted to try a quest..."
"And I wouldn't say no to seeing more of the world," Logan piped in.
"Heh, well, you'll both get that." David nodded. "As for the other, I want your transformation - to start with - to be my choice. When we're done, I'll give you whatever body, whatever shape you want, but until then, I want to pick your shape for myself. That way, we're more likely to get through this in one piece. Sound good?"
He hadn't thought that he wouldn't get to choose his transformation. Landon looked at Logan, as he was on the fence.
"What do you think?"
"I think we should go for it."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. See the world, be someone new...who wouldn't do this?"
Nodding, they turned back to David. Landon smiled.
"We accept."
"Excellent. Then we'll start with you, Landon. If you'll stand up?"
He did, moving across the room to stand in front of their new friend. His body already felt tingly in anticipation, his heartbeat starting to race as he imagined what he would become. What would it be, he wondered. Would it be something like the wolves he'd heard about, running through the northwest? Or would it be like the rumors of an otter in the north-east? He didn't know, but that only made him more excited.
It only got better when he saw David's hands start to glow. It was the first sign of magic, of real magic, that he'd ever seen. Landon grinned wide as David sighed.
"I wish that he'd left me more than one spell a day...but it'll do. Hold still."
The golden light spilled over the nineteen year old young man, and he felt his entire body glow with it. He felt even warmer than the Texas sun had left him, and he sighed in pleasure as he felt his entire body start to tingle. It was real. The magic...the transformation...all of it was real, and it was happening to him.
The first change happened quickly, and he could watch it easily due to the mirror at his side. Mounted on the wall, it gave him a perfect view of his suddenly growing face. It wasn't a massive growth, but before his very eyes, he saw that his mouth and his nose were pushing forward. It wasn't a smooth transition, but almost box-like, as if something was pushing them forward from behind the skin. He gasped, reaching up to feel it; it was painless, completely painless, but the sight of it...it was amazing.
He felt it push his hands back as his new muzzle slowly grew in, slowly evening out and getting less angular and more...natural. It had to be a feline's face, he was sure of it. It was too well shamed and fitting to his face to be something bigger like a dog's muzzle or something else. He expected fur to grow along it, but instead there was...Latex?
Landon stroked it a few times, feeling a few little whiskers growing in around the latex as it started streaming back over his face, making him look black furred, though shinier than any fur would naturally be. It streamed over his face and down his hands, and he saw claws appearing on his fingertips before he was drawn to the mirror again.
Gradually, as the transformation went on, he recognized the person that was appearing in the mirror. Though this one had never been covered from head to toe in latex - something that he was noticing also revealed certain things he never imagined - Landon knew what he was looking at. Particularly as a red rose appeared in his hand.
"Panther Caroso. The rose means death." Landon - Panther - blinked. "Why did -"
"Heh...I've always been a fan of the series. I had a couple of others back home, but they didn't want to leave with me. So...I thought I'd start the team up again. And give you a bit of his mind, as well."
"His mind?"
"Look in there. You'll have a lot of different memories, and lots of training too."
And so he did. Panther-Landon stared as he realized that his memories were mixed with that of a fictional character, including all the combat training and fighter pilot work he'd done. The idea of having all that...of having lived it while not living it...was amazing.
He was still thinking about it when David pushed him back against the bed, leaving him thumping against it. Panther-Landon rapidly looked up, only to find their new friend sitting at the foot of the bed, his head between the latex panther's feet.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to have a little fun. Logan, do you mind if I play with your brother a bit?"
Logan seemed too busy staring, and Panther-Landon was doing the same thing. Looking past David's head, he could see that everything had been changed. From his new sheath and tail to his feet. Though the latex hid the colors, he definitely had paw-pads under his feet, though they were normal human shaped. The toes were topped with claws, just like his fingers were, and he could see that they were even bigger than they were before.
He wondered why he was interested; maybe Panther had a foot fetish, because he didn't remember having one before his transformation.
Apparently David had taken the silence as permission, because he leaned forward, and Panther-Landon gasped as the tongue ran over his foot, his cock - also covered in latex - beginning to rise from his crotch. He shuddered, particularly as Logan reached down and grabbed it, giving it a few strokes.
"Ooooh, fuck..."
"How's it feel, Landon?"
"It feels...so fucking good, bro..."
"Better than usual?"
"You have no idea..."
"Heh...then you'll love this..."
Panther-Landon tried to open his eyes, but the feeling of his brother's mouth around his cock and David's around his big toe was too much. He collapsed back down, closing his eyes and purring in pleasure. This was going to be fun.
