Story by Ky the wolf on SoFurry

The husky looked over the naked fox sitting in front of him admiring his body. The fox was small, standing at about 5'6" and had a slim athletic build he got from track, he was covered in rusty red fur, except for the black fur that covered his paws and ears, and the light grey fur that stained under his chin and ran down his stomach, and over his sheath, the tip of his tail was also colored with the light grey. "god he looks so amazing" thought the husky.

"do you want to touch it?" asked the fox who had noticed the husky staring at his sheath.

The husky blushed and nodded as reached his paw out towards the fox's dark grey chest fur, he could feel the fox shivering at the husky's touch, and he loved it. He slowly edged his hand further down, caressing the fox's stomach and working his way further down, stopping a before he reached the fox's sheath and moved his hand back up to his chest, gently moving him back till he was laying down, the husky leaned over him and kissed his chest, next his neck, he hesitated a few seconds before bringing his muzzle slowly down onto the fox's. the kiss lasted a good minute before the fox pushed the husky off him with a look of appall.

"what did you do?!" the fox was yelling at the husky now, squirming out from under him. "you fag! I cant believe you just kissed me?!"

This sudden change in emotion cause the husky to panic "I..I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, please don't go." he pleaded as the fox walked backwards away from the husky.

"I cant believe I was actually friends with a fag like you." the fox said in disgust.

This caused the husky to begin crying, arms trembling under him. He had just lost his best friend, the person he loved. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" was all he could think as the fox disappeared into the distance.

"mark, wake up." a familiar voice said above him, shaking him back and forth making him rise upwards quickly, only to see the fox standing beside his bed. He quickly pushed the small fox back making him fall to the ground.

"ow, what the hell mark, it was a dream snap out of it." he slowly stood back up right beside the bed. "you ok? You were having a bad dream, saying ‘sorry' over and over and you were crying."

The husky lifted his paw to his face to feel the wet fur under his eyes. "y..yea I'm ok, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to push you like that."

"hey, its not a problem." the fox paused. "what was the dream about?"

"it was nothing." he stood up letting the blanket fall to the ground and began stretching out his firm muscular form.

The fox stood in looking at his best friend as he stretched. He was an extremely built husky with white fur dominating most of his body, and a coat of black covering his back and top of his tail, some of it had even crawled down the side of his arms and legs. "God your freakin huge you know that?" he playfully punched the husky's firm chest, the husky didn't even flinch.

"what, I like my size." he flexed his arms and pecs "plus, being this strong helps me quarter back on the team."

"yea, yea, well come on, we got to go, schools going to start soon" the fox walked off into the hall to leave mark in privacy. "is there a reason why you broke in Tobi?" mark asked as he began getting dressed.

"it's the my first day as a freshman, your going to have to give me the grand tour, and I didn't break in." he replied tossing a key in the air. "spare key under the mat, and you know I hate being called Tobi."Â he was somewhat lying, he never really minded when mark had called him Tobi, it had always been what he called the fox ever since they were pups. But to Tobias, it seemed a bit of a childish name, and sounded kind of weird. "you almost done?"

"yea, yea, just hang on" he struggled with his pants pulling his tail through the back. "its school Tobi, you shouldn't be this rushed to go."Â he walked up tapping Tobias on the shoulder indicating that they could go.

"you look nice" Tobias said sarcastically to the bigger husky behind him. He was wearing torn up jeans and a solid white shirt.

Mark looked himself over as he heard this remark. "huh, I do don't I?"

"sarcasm mark." he replied as they both gave a light laugh before walking through the house. Both the furs exited the house hopping in the shining new black ford. "I still cant believe your parents got you this."

"yea, it was pretty nice of them." mark quickly replied turning the truck on and pulling out of the driveway, beginning their drive to school. It was always a quite drive with Tobias, he never really liked talking while riding in a vehicle, but that never stopped mark from trying. "so your pretty excited about your first day of high school huh?"

"I guess." Tobias said staring blankly out the window.

"you guess?" mark tried his hardest to keep the conversation continuing.

There was a long pause before answering. "yea. I don't know, I guess it's a bit scary" he held another pause. "its like going to a new school. Ya know?"

"yea, but its not all that bad, you'll get used to it." mark said trying to comfort his friend, he reached for the dial in the middle of the dashboard. "the usual?"Â all he got was a nod from the fox, which was all he needed before slowly turning up the radio on their favorite rock station.

Tobias continued to stare out the window oblivious to mark's continues glances, checking him out. Mark had recently come to terms with being gay. And had also realized that he was head over heels in love with his best friend. He had always thought of telling the fox how he felt, but he never could bring himself to do so, he couldn't risk loosing his best friend. He would much rather have him as a friend, then not have him at all.

"how much longer till we get there?" Tobias said with a yawn. "I'm tired"

"hmm, well I'd say about another 10minutes if you want a quick nap?" mark was to busy looking at the road to see that Tobias was laying his head in mark's lap. "he-hey?"

He opened one of his eyes looking up at the husky. "what, its not like we're gay or anything, so no worries." this made a rush of pain shoot through mark's chest. "ill get up before we get there." he finished as he closed his eyes quickly falling asleep.

"yea... ok" mark felt a saddened by Tobias' last remark. This meant he wouldn't ever have him as his lover, he would never be able to hold him like he wanted. Tobias would never truly be his.

After a few minutes they were near the school. Mark didn't bother to wake up his sleeping friend. He slowly drove in the schools parking lot and found a empty spot to park.

"hey Tobi." he shook him gently. "wake up, we're here."

"damn, already?" Tobias slowly rose up and gave a long yawn before leaving the truck stretching out. Mark didn't pay much attention to him and slowly got out locking the door and walked off, his tail drooping down between his legs. "hey, you ok mark? You look depressed."

"huh? N-no, I'm fine, just a headache is all." he lied walking off.

The fox didn't buy into it, and ran behind the husky pouncing on his back, mark‘s legs only bent a bit before adjusting to the extra weight. "guess what?" Tobias whispered in his ear.

"what?" this was all the fox needed to hear before jumping off his back and running off flailing a piece of black leather in the air. It was mark's wallet.

"I have your wallet!!" he yelled slowing to a mild jog. "come and get it if ya think you can"

"think? Ha, I know I can." he said walking forward stopping a couple of yards away from him. "if your gonna run you might want to do it now."

This made Tobias laugh a bit as he started a slow jog backwards through the parking lot.

Before they knew it, tires were screeching. Tobias had his back facing a skidding car racing to stop, but mark knew it wouldn't be able to, it was going to hit him.
