The Rovers were driving through the cool, dry safari away from the hellish town they had just barely escaped; heading towards their new destination in the marshlands. It was about 40 miles to the destination and the Rovers were a little worn out from their previous encounter.

"*Yawn* How much longer Exile?" Blitz asked, leaning back in the seat.

"We still have quite a ways to go. Think we should stop for the night?" Exile asked, looking towards Keith.

"We're still too out in the open. Drive for a little while longer and if we can't find some shelter we'll stop for the night." Keith replied while sitting in the back of the truck with Hunter leaning on his shoulder.

"Okay. Blitz do you mind switching? I'd like to rest a little." Exile asked.

Blitz nodded and the truck stopped. The two switched their positions and the journey continued. Keith looked out into the safari and admired the beautiful scenery they were driving through. Various trees, plants and even some wildlife could be seen all around them, and Keith couldn't help himself being lost in its natural wonder.

Even if we are on a mission and our lives are in danger it's still beautiful. Keith thought.

Keith looked over at his sleeping partner and thought Not as beautiful as this though.

Keith smiled and petted his mate's face, making sure he didn't wake him. Hunter was out cold and snoring lightly on Keith's shoulder; stirring slightly in his sleep.

He must be dreaming. About what I wonder? Keith thought, still petting him.

Hunter's Dream

Hunter felt like he was floating in a sea of pure white light; completely shut off from the outside world.

‘Where am I?' Hunter thought.

The white light slowly faded, bringing a golden retriever puppy and German shepherd pup into view. They were playing and wrestling each other under the watchful eye of Shepherd.

‘So I knew Keith long before I met him back at HQ? Why am I just now remembering this?' Hunter thought.

Shepherd picked up the pup that was once Hunter and tickled him; making the pup squeal in delight.

"You were the only one to survive after Alicia gave birth to you. You truly are my greatest work yet! You will be the pinnacle of my ultimate dog army!" Shepherd proclaimed.

The German Shepherd pup was barking for his playmate, so Shepherd put Hunter back into the pen.

"It's amazing the shepherd survived the infusion process involving Alicia's DNA into his own. He may not be as powerful as the retriever, but he possesses almost all the same powers. I just hope I can replicate them properly." Shepherd thought aloud.

‘So Alicia is my mother? I wonder what she looks like? Sounds like?' Hunter thought.

Suddenly the scene faded away and then a beautiful female golden retriever came into view. She was nursing Hunter and licking over him lovingly, humming in the process.

‘So that is my mother? She's so beautiful.' Hunter thought.

‘My beautiful boy, you will truly become something great one day. I just wish I could get you out of this terrible place.' Alicia said in a rich, beautiful voice.

‘Her voice is like heaven...' Hunter thought.

The scene faded once again into white and then a terrible scene unfolded before Hunter's eyes.

‘ARFFFFFFF! GRRRRRRRR!' Alicia growled in pain.

Shepherd rushed in the room and shouted ‘Alicia! What is wrong?!'

Suddenly Alicia was engulfed in fire and then turned into the Angel form Hunter was so familiar with.

‘MOTHER!' Hunter shouted. Alicia's sleek, slender form was emanating so much energy Hunter could feel it.

‘Alicia?! You are..?!' Shepherd panicked.

‘This world will fall to my power!' Alicia, rather EVE proclaimed.

‘Alicia please....!' Shepherd began.

Suddenly the room was engulfed in energy and all Hunter could do was cry in agony.

‘MOTHER! NO!' Hunter shouted.

The scene shifted to Keith and Hunter crying and whining like crazy in their pen, chaos ensuing all around them. Alicia's will came back for a moment and EVE was suppressed.

‘I will save you and your friend. Be happy together...' Alicia said soothingly.

Suddenly the two pups were engulfed in light and transported out of the facility.

‘I will not allow you to remember any of this; so much pain has been wrought. You will start life anew.' Alicia whispered, before becoming EVE again.

Suddenly the facility exploded, and then Hunter saw no more. ‘MOTHER! NO! *whine* *sob*' Hunter cried.

Hunter was engulfed in white once again and the dream ended.

End Dream

A few tears escaped Hunter's eyes while he was sleeping, and Keith became concerned.

Whatever he is dreaming, it obviously isn't good.... Keith thought.

Keith licked Hunter's salty tears off his muzzle. Hunter moaned and opened his eyes, tears still flowing.

"Hunter? What is it?" Keith asked with eyes full of concern.

Hunter's eyes were red and puffy, obvious signs that his dreams were obviously awful ones. Hunter got up and walked over to the edge of the turret bay, looking out into the safari.

"I saw what happened to my real mother. I saw everything." Hunter said, holding back tears.

Keith walked up behind Hunter and embraced him from behind. "Tell me. Let it out." Keith whispered, nuzzling into Hunter's back.

"I saw when we were puppies. We were playmates back in the facility. You sure were cute." Hunter chuckled through his tears.

"So we knew each other before we ever met." Keith said, putting his head on Hunter's right shoulder.

"Yep. We were both Shepherd's experiments. You weren't developed under military supervision." Hunter replied, leaning into Keith. Keith nodded and Hunter continued.

"You were infused with my mother's DNA, and you developed Parasite Energy." Hunter explained.

"My mother...." "Yes?" Keith asked.

"My mother was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. She had the purest aura about her and her voice made my heart melt. She would sing to me and call me her beautiful boy when she would bathe me." Hunter said.

"She sounds beautiful." Keith replied, holding Hunter tighter.

"She was. Until...." Hunter began, fists clenched.

"Until...?" Keith urged.

"She transformed into EVE. She destroyed the facility and saved us in the process. She altered our memories so we couldn't remember any of it. She wanted to start our lives anew." Hunter finished, tears streaming down his face.

The wind from the movement of the vehicle blew a few tears off of Hunter's onto Keith's, and it broke Keith's heart.

My god. I had no idea how deep and intricate our past really is. But why is only Hunter remembering all this? Maybe because he has a direct link to Alicia since he is her son? I don't know, but... Keith thought.

"Hunter I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have gotten you involved in all this...." Keith started.

"No Keith. Parvo started all this. We'll finish have done nothing wrong." Hunter replied, turning around to hug Keith.

Keith embraced his partner back, and they just held each other.

Blitz was looking at the pair in the rear view mirror and just smiled.

Looks like he's feeling better. I'm glad.

Blitz looked over at his sleeping comrade and couldn't help but chuckle. Exile was completely sprawled out on the seat and snoring loudly with his mouth open; a little drool dripping off his muzzle. Blitz reached over and shut his muzzle and stroked his face.

He's so incredible. I can't believe the way he made me feel earlier. So safe, so secure. Blitz thought.

Blitz couldn't help but grope Exile through his pants, and it made Exile yip in his sleep.

Blitz was about to continue, but Exile's paw grabbed Blitz's. "A little horny are we?" Exile asked, smiling groggily.

"Maybe. How could I resist with you being all exposed like that?" Blitz grinned.

"You should be more focused on driving than my unmentionables." Exile grinned back. "You were never the greatest person at driving.....or multitasking."

"Hey that's not funny!" Blitz whined.

"I'm kidding comrade." Exile replied. "Look comrade!"

Blitz looked out the front windshield and saw what seemed to be an oasis surrounded by palm trees.

"Hey Keith! Look at that!" Blitz proclaimed. Keith untangled himself from his mate and replied

"Wow! An oasis! Good eye Blitz. We'll stop here for the night." Blitz stopped the truck and all of the Rovers hopped out of the truck.

"Man the air feels awesome!" Hunter proclaimed, stretching his legs. "Yeah! I don't know about you guys, but I'm going for a swim and take a bath. I have blood and dog saliva in places I didn't know I had." Exile laughed.

Everyone laughed in unison and agreed they all needed a bath.

"First let's gather up some wood and make a fire. Exile go ahead and gather some wood. Blitz grab some gas so we can start the fire. Hunter we'll scout the area for safety." Keith ordered.

Everyone nodded and went their separate ways. Hunter and Keith approached the oasis and pushed through some bushes and various plants, looking for any enemies. The two reached the center where the pond was, and it was truly a sight to behold.

It's beautiful. Hunter thought.

The oasis had many types of trees and plants, all with various colors of flowers and fruit. Everything seemed lush and full of life, and the water was the perfect temperature. Keith put his paw in the water and let it run through his fingers, savoring the feeling of the clean water. He cupped his hands and took a drink; it was the cleanest water he had ever tasted.

"How is it?" Hunter asked, kneeling beside him.

"It's awesome! Take a swig!" Keith replied, wiping his muzzle.

Hunter did so and laughed in agrrement.

"It tastes great! I know what tastes better though...." Hunter said looking into Keith's eyes.

"Ha. Let's save the romance for later." Keith replied, kissing Hunter. "Let's finish surveying the area."

The two finished their search, and Keith whistled to signal it was all clear. Blitz and Exile came through the bushes with some firewood and some gas from the back of the truck. Exile sat the wood down in a pile and Blitz poured on a little gas.

"Great! Now all we need is...WHOA!" Blitz exclaimed. Keith snapped his fingers and the fire roared to life.

"Thanks torchy." Hunter laughed. Keith slapped Hunter's back at the remark, chuckling in the process.

"This place is glorious!" Exile said, looking around.

"Yeah! Look at all the plants and fruit!" Blitz shouted, going to grab some bananas hanging nearby.

"Looks like we found our private getaway." Hunter laughed, going to grab some mangos from a tree. T

he dogs finished picking some fruit and sat around the fire, chowing down. The dogs ate in silence for awhile, but was broken by a loud fart from Exile.

"Exile! Jesus!" Keith laughed, fanning the air. "Didn't know you had it in you!"

"Hey it's a sign of happiness in my country!" Exile laughed, still eating a banana.

"Dude that reeks!" Blitz coughed. "I...."

Phfffffffttttttttttt!

Blitz blushed at the sound and started giggling uncontrollably.

"You're one to talk! That one sounded a little wet!" Exile laughed while choking on his banana.

Keith and Hunter were rolling with laughter, until Keith let one rip.

"Geez! I guess all that fiber doesn't help!" Keith laughed.

Hunter was laughing so hard his eyes were watering.

"Can we please stop this? It's so......" Hunter began.

Before Hunter could get it out he let one out as well and was turning beet red.

"Well looks like our fearless leader has it in him after all!" Blitz laughed. "I always thought you were so proper!"

Hunter was laughing like crazy, and replied "Oh do shut up tooshie biter."

They all laughed and continued their stupid little farting contest, then they decided to go for a swim and clean up. They all stripped out of their clothes and dove in, being refreshed by the clean, warm water.

"Man this feels great! It feels just like bath water!" Exile said while washing his face.

"Yeah! I never knew a place this existed!" Blitz shouted while washing himself.

Keith was floating on his back and enjoying the warm water and night air washing over his well toned body.

Man this feels awesome....hello.... Keith thought.

Keith looked over to his right and saw Hunter washing himself all over a few feet away. The moonlight seemed to make his fur shine radiantly and the water dripping off his well muscled body made him more enticing. Hunter bent over to wash his face and Keith got an eyeful of his glorious golden ass. Keith saw a hint of pink between the spread cheeks and it his pulse pound in his ears.

Is he doing this on purpose? Who cares! He's all mine.... Keith thought.

Keith felt himself getting slightly aroused so he adjusted himself by putting his lower end under the water. He slowly crept behind Hunter and grabbed him from behind.

Hunter yelped in surprise and asked "What are you doing Keith?"

Keith smiled and said "You know how beautiful you are you big tease?"

Hunter made a sheepish grin and replied "Not till you just told me. You want something big guy?"

"Yeah...you!" Keith shouted, pulling him backwards into the water.

Hunter and Keith then began to wrestle and dunk each other in the cool water, acting like a couple of kids.

Blitz and Exile were watching their friends in the distance and were just laughing at their antics.

"Kids..." Blitz smirked.

"Haha yeah. They sure are happy together!" Exile laughed.

"Yeah, but I wonder if they love each other as much as we love each other?" Blitz whispered, cuddling up to Exile.

"Hmmm.....I don't know. All I know is I love you with all my being, and I will not let anything happen to you." Exile whispered back while kissing Blitz's forehead.

Blitz said nothing and just looked into Exile's deep blue eyes. They were enchanting. Blitz and Exile began kissing each other lightly, just enjoying each other's company. Exile then pushed Blitz backwards into the water, and they began wrestling like Keith and Hunter. Exile began to tickle Blitz and Blitz giggled like crazy. Blitz flipped Exile over and slapped his butt, making Exile shout a little. The four dogs played with their respective partners for awhile, but they knew they needed to get some sleep for the trip ahead.

"Alright guys! Time to turn in for the night!" Keith shouted, climbing out with Hunter.

All the dogs shook themselves of the water, and sat around the fire to dry off. "

So Blitz is headquarters is still tracking Parvo?" Exile asked.

"I honestly don't know. That body we found back in Kijuju seemed fresh, so it looks like they're still trying to find him." Blitz explained.

"We didn't find anyone else so it's a pretty good indication that if there was anyone else they already pulled out."

"That's a relief. How did they find out about Parvo's new plan anyway?" Hunter asked.

"There was recon sent from an unknown organization to RR Headquarters. It mentioned Parvo building some new mega dog army, but the details were sketchy. As far as anything else, I didn't have the proper clearance to view that information." Blitz replied.

"Unknown Organization?" Keith asked. "You don't think...."

"A set up to get rid of the Road Rovers? A good possibility." Blitz replied.

"I think Parvo has bigger plans than just getting rid of us. I don't know what it is, but it can't be good."

"I guess we'll find out when we get there." Hunter yawned "For now let's get some sleep."

"I'll take the first watch." Keith said, grabbing his shotgun. "Go ahead and grab some sleep guys."

The rest nodded and lay down around the fire.

Exile cuddled with Blitz, and Hunter walked over to lie down next to a crouched Keith. Hunter reached over and rubbed Keith's thigh, smiling at him lovingly.

"I love you Keith...." Hunter whispered. "Love you two Hunter...." Keith whispered back, grabbing Hunter's paw.

Hunter slowly drifted off to sleep, Keith watching him the entire time. Keith smiled to himself and looked out over the oasis, watching for any signs of trouble.

"Groomer, is how far along is our precious specimen?" Parvo asked, walking up behind her.

"About 50% complete general. She is developing at a rapid rate. Looks like we made the right choice in our specimen." she replied, leaning back into him.

"That we did. Soon our new world will be a reality, and she will open the door to it." he said, putting his arm around her.

"Between her and Uroboros, nothing can stand in our way now!"

"You're right general! Not even those pathetic Rovers are a match for us!" she laughed.

"If they give us trouble, I have a couple of surprises in store."

"Oh really like what?" Parvo smirked. The groomer pulled up two separate monitors showing Shepherd in one room and Shag in another, both incapacitated.

"I have injected them with Uroboros and are ready to go anytime. I made a special modification for the Sheepdog." she said evily.

"Like what?" Parvo asked.

"You'll see..." she trailed off, stroking his face.

"I trust you groomer, now if you'll excuse me I'd like to be alone with our creation...." he requested.

"Of course general." She replied, walking out of the lab. Parvo walked over to his creation and stroked the glass.

Amazing...I can feel the power emanating off of her! Colleen was glowing a bright yellow and mutating into EVE at a rapid rate. Markings of ancient origin were appearing on her body, and were glowing a bright purple.

"The wheels are now in motion; it cannot be stopped......" Parvo said aloud.

"Huh?!" Keith said startled.

Keith had dosed off on his watch and was awoken by a strange stirring in his body.

My mitochondria are acting up. It's like they're sensing something. But what? Keith thought.

Keith shook himself awake and looked around, noticing Hunter was missing. Keith looked out into the oasis and saw Hunter surrounded by what seemed to be.....ice bubbles.

What is he doing? Keith thought.

Keith stepped out into the water and swam towards Hunter. Hunter seemed to be in his own world and dod not notice Keith sneak up behind him.

"Hunter?" Keith asked, reaching out to touch his partner.

"Ahuh?!" Hunter said startled.

"Keith?! You scared the shit out of me!" Hunter breathed.

"Sorry!" Keith said, scratching the back of his head.

"What are you doing?"

"I couldn't sleep, so I decided to go for a swim. Something about the water relaxes me, and I just decided to play around with my powers a bit. I guess it might the element thing you were talking about." Hunter replied, reaching out to pick up an ice bubble.

"You like it?" "It's beautiful..." Keith said, holding the orb.

"Why couldn't you sleep? Bad dreams?"

"No, my body is acting up. It feels like my body is pulsing with energy; like it's trying to tell me something. I don't know what though...." Hunter trailed off.

"You too? I thought it was just me." Keith said, crossing his arms.

"What could it mean?" Hunter asked a little worried.

"I don't know, but I bet it has to do something with Parvo." Keith replied. "What could he possibly be doing? It's bad enough he's got this virus, but if he got a hold of Parasite Energy....." Hunter began.

"However, I don't think he has the knowledge or the resources to reengineer Shepherd's old samples. Even with the Groomer's help I really don't think it's possible. Plus he would need a proper specimen to do the process for another EVE. But.....you never know."

"Hmm I hope not." Hunter said, manipulating some water into another ice ball.

"That's a really cool trick there Hunt...." Keith started

"Wow....."

Hunter handed an ice bubble shaped like a heart and gave it to Keith, and he just held it in his paw.

"Hunter....it's so pretty..." Keith managed.

"Keith I really love you and this is me giving my heart to you. I want to be with you forever, promise you won't leave me...." Hunter whispered, leaning into Keith.

"Never..." Keith replied, embracing Hunter. "Keith lean into me and hold on.....there is something I want to show you...." Hunter said, tightening his grip on Keith.

"Okay...." Keith replied a little confused. Suddenly a wave of water surrounded the pair and they were pulled under water.

Keith opened his eyes and was underwater with Hunter, floating along himself in Hunter's arms. "What is this?" Keith asked. "Just wait...." Hunter said. Keith looked ahead and just managed a "Wow..."

'Just imagine me and all this will appear....'

Keith saw a huge glowing coral with hundreds of fish swimming along it, making Keith go numb in wonder.

"It's so beautiful..." Keith whispered.

"How did you know this was here? Moreover manage such an incredible power?" "You were asleep for awhile, so I did some exploring. I was bit surprised too when I found out I could control the water around me too." Hunter laughed.

'You can keep this moment all your life, forever near...'

'A dream worth keeping'

Hunter and Keith just held each other watching the beautiful scene, nuzzling each other gently.

"Were not done yet....hold on partner." Hunter said. Keith held on and floated along, savoring the closeness of his mate. Keith and Hunter entered the coral and just floated along, gazing at the various fish, plants, and colors of the coral.

"It's so beautiful...." Keith said, leaning into Hunter's chest.

"Not as beautiful as you..." Hunter whispered, kissing Keith's forehead.

This is amazing.....I have never experienced anything like this before....physically and emotionally.

'When you're feeling lost I'll be your star'

Keith reached up and touched his mate's face and kissed him passionately, still floating along the coral cave. Hunter reached around his mate and pulled him in close, opening his maul for full intrusion of Keith's tongue.

'In a world where precious things are disappearing overnight...'

'Just keep my star in sight.'

Keith and Hunter briefly broke the kiss and just looked into each other's eyes; lost in each others gaze.

"How the hell did I end up with someone as great as you?" Keith asked, rubbing Hunter's back.

"Just lucky I guess. I'm glad we found each other again..." Hunter said, putting his head on Keith's.

"And we'll never be apart again....." Keith whispered, pulling Hunter back into the kiss.

They both just floated along the tunnel, completely oblivious to the world around them.

Hunter and Keith surfaced in a cave filled with pools of water that emanated different colors of light, projecting them all over the walls. Keith and Hunter separated to look around; both taken aback at the sheer beauty of the area. Both climbed out of the water with their paws clasped, still looking around in awe.

"This place is amazing! I never knew a place like this existed!" Keith proclaimed, walking along with Hunter.

"Me neither!" Hunter replied. Hunter reached down and grabbed Keith's two toned, furry, firm ass, making him yelp in surprise.

"You want this? Come and get it!" Keith teased, tapping Hunter's sack with his right paw.

Keith ran across the pools of water, Hunter hot on his heels.

'Maybe you'll be in some distant land'

'Feeling all alone, but I'll be close at hand'

'And every time you see a rainbow paint the sky behind the rain'

'You'll be here again.'

Keith was running at the speed of light trying to get away from Hunter, but Hunter's speed was unmatchable. Keith was tackled into a pool of water and the two wrestled around, laughing like a couple of kids. Hunter flipped Keith over and pinned him, kissing him all around his neck. Keith laughed and moaned all at once; enjoying the treatment he was getting from his mate. Hunter stopped and just stared into Keith's blue eyes, and Keith stared back. It was like he was looking into his soul.

"What is it?" Keith asked, touching Hunter's face.

"Keith.....can I have you again? I want to give you the strength you say I give you to you......" Hunter replied, rubbing his paws along Keith's frame.

"What makes you think you had to ask?" Keith grinned, placing his legs on Hunter's shoulders.

Hunter smiled widely and began kissing Keith again.

Keith let Hunter have complete control of his body, and just sank into the ground. Hunter was kissing and rubbing Keith all over his torso; making Keith whine and moan in extreme pleasure. Hunter was giggling at the sounds Keith was making, and mockingly said "I love the sounds you make...."

Keith said nothing and just grinned. Hunter then proceeded to fondle Keith's furry balls, making Keith yip at the sudden chill of Hunter's soft paw pads. Hunter rolled and squeezed them in his paw, making Keith squirm beneath him. Slowly but surely Keith's manhood peeked from his shaft, and Hunter began licking it to coax it out even more.

Keith felt himself extend inch by inch to his maximum, treasuring each squeeze and lick by his partner on his shaft and balls. Keith then felt his pulse go through the roof and his body temperature rise rapidly.

"Hunter my Parasite Energy feels like....it's reacting to you." Keith explained. "It feels like I'm evolving......and trying share my energy with yours.....I can't explain it but......just keep going." Hunter obliged and started to thrust in and out of Keith, making Keith's body feel hot and numb in the process. Hunter's body began to feel the same way as well, and it felt so good!

What's happening? Hunter thought It feels like my energy and body are trying to merge with Keith's!

Keith and Hunter pulse and body temperature continued to rise as they continued to make love in the marine cave, their screams and moans echoing throughout.. The duo were moaning and screaming in pleasure; Hunter from the tight, wet prison he was thrusting in and out of and the inner heat that was building within himself, Keith from being pumped and spread open by his partner and also from the internal combustion that was brewing.

Suddenly the two were engulfed in a huge light and the cave emanated millions of colors.

Hunter was getting closer and closer to his climax as he continued to thrust in and out of the vise he was caught in, and it seemed the closer he got the hotter he became.

"Keith! I'm.....GAHHHHHH!" Hunter screamed.

As Hunter spilled himself into Keith, Hunter almost fainted from the extreme heat he experienced. Keith felt the same way and just screamed in pleasure; completely limp on the floor.

'And even when you see the darkness come creeping'

'Will never fade away....'

The two continued to glow and panted heavily on the floor, completely speechless of what they just experienced. Hunter and Keith cuddled together on the cold floor, nuzzling each other gently. The two quickly fell into a deep sleep, surrounded by the various colors and sounds of the sea cave that would never be forgotten by the two dogs.
