K11 Chapter #2
#2 of K11
Hey everyone! Chapter two of K11 is finally here! I don't think I'll be writing chapters this long, there was just a lot of ideas I had for this story, and I didn't want to forget anything. Who knows, maybe my next chapters will be this long? All I know is that there WILL be romance in this story (you've probably guessed who they are. Here's a hint: Human x Dragon x Dragon), and next chapter should be pretty exciting. All in all, I hoped you guys enjoyed the second chapter. 'Till next time!

Arrived:
"I don't understand, where would he go to?" asked Brendan's mother worriedly.
"We don't know ma'am, all we know is that the Safari Zone was attacked, and your son was caught in the middle of it. The security footage from the building showed your son enter the Safari Area, followed by two suspicious men. None of the three came back through those same two doors." Replied the police officer.
"Well, can you at least tell me who those two men were?"
"We believe that the two men were poachers that kidnap living Pokémon and humans. They usually are working for some sort of organization that usually use the kidnapped beings as test subjects."
"So, you're telling me that, at this very moment, my baby could be strapped down on a table, and have people poking him with needles?"
"It is a possibility ma'am, but it's not for sure. Your son could have just ran off with a couple of friends." Replied the police officer.
Brendan's mother slowly walked over to her sofa while rubbing her tired eyes, trying to process the recent events that had taken place. She dropped down onto the couch, thinking of all the possible situations her son could be in. Her life had gone from happy to terrifying the night before. She could still recall answering her front door to a frantic Marcus, stating that Brendan was missing. At first, she thought she was getting punk'd, but when the police showed up, the gravity of the situation began to sink in. And now, here she was a nervous wreck. Ivy was sitting by her side, looking at the policeman with sad eyes.
"Did the police find my big bro yet?" she asked pitifully.
"No, sweetie, not yet. They're working on it though."
"Don't worry you two, the police are on the case. We'll let you two know if we find a lead. Oh, and if one of you two discovers something, let us know. Anything could be the missing key to finding your son."
"Thank you officer, please don't stop searching. I feel like a terrible mother knowing my only boy is out there, and there's nothing I can do to find him."
"It's alright ma'am, you can rest assured that the police are on the case. Oh, a couple of partners are going to keep watch over your property, just in case a suspicious character shows up again. Good night you two, and try to get some rest." Said the officer as he stood up and was led outside by Ivy and her mother. When the officer pulled out of the driveway, Brendan's mother looked up at the sky, admiring all of the twinkling stars out there.
"I just want my baby to be safe. God, if you're out there, please protect and guide him home to me."
Those were the last words of the night before heading inside with Ivy, and getting ready for bed, before they both fell into a long and restless sleep.
(Location unknown):
A fourteen year old boy and countless other species of Pokémon were all drugged, and loaded into a moving car, the Pokémon being captured in Poké balls, and the boy being carelessly tossed into the back of a white movers van.
"There, that should do it. The boss should be happy we completed his orders. Could you imagine his face, if we didn't? We'd never see the light of day again!" said Bart comically.
"I know, don't ever mention the boss angry again. I get shivers just thinking about what he'd do to us. God, he'd turn us into one of his test subjects! *chuckle* we wouldn't live another week, according to the results of the other test subjects." Replied Ian with a shudder.
The two thugs then secured all of the precious cargo, before getting in the front of the van and turning it on, Ian at the wheel again. He then performed a highly dangerous drifting U-turn (the kind you see in the movies), and then sped down the road. He failed to notice the second bike parked on the other side of the street, or its owner entering the Safari Zone building. The two criminals drove down the rural streets of Wake Forest for around 45 minutes, before arriving at their destination.
"Ever wonder why boss chose to have an underwater lair? Doesn't the thought of being crushed by tons of water scare him just a little bit?" asked Bart curiously.
"Heck, I don't think the boss is afraid of anything. He's a psychopath I tell you, a complete looney. The only reason we work for him is for the even more insane pay rate. Heck, I wouldn't live with him for a week, not even if I was bet a big amount of money! 500 million for spending a week with the guy, or no money, and just leave him alone. I'd rather choose to leave him alone any day.
The two then turned down a rock and gravel road that had a sign at the entrance that read: Reiner Lake. Reiner Lake was a pretty secluded location, surround by nothing other than the wild cries of Pokémon, and Mother Nature's beauty. The lake was a popular tourist attraction during the warm seasons, and a well-known spot for many hikers, mountain climbers, and anyone that wanted to unwind and relax. For these reasons, 'the boss' had chosen to build his secret laboratory under the lake.
The van drove along a path that wound around the lake for about a quarter of a mile. They reached an unmarked, flat spot in the middle of the road, and stopped the van right on top of it. Ian then opened his car door, and stomped three times on the ground below, which sounded surprisingly like hollow metal. He then closed the car door, and counted 5 seconds before honking 3 times. Almost immediately after, the flat spot the van was parked on began to lower itself into the ground, revealing itself to be the only entrance in and out of the secret laboratory. Once inside, the van drove down a dimly lit tunnel, until they reached the very end, and parked the car right then and there. The two then got out and walked in front of the van. At the very end of the dark tunnel, was a single door that had a sign on it saying: Welcome SAVANT employees. Bart turned around, locked the car, and hit a special button on his car keys that lifted the elevator to its original position above ground. When the two finished up, walked through the door at the end of the tunnel, only to be greeted by a large open space filled with bustling people in lab coats. No one seemed to acknowledge the two, but they didn't care. They knew that everyone else was busy doing their jobs, as they should be. No one wanted to make the boss angry.
The laboratory was massive, two floors, each with over 50 rooms, each with different uses from conducting experiments, to holding live test subjects, or even just a lounge. The due walked down a familiar path that led them to a pair of giant double glass doors. Inside, was a man, staring out of a viewing window observing the experiments that were occurring. Bart knocked on the glass door before being beckoned in by the man. Inside was an empty room, with nothing but a simple observation window, and a sofa. The man occupying the window was wearing a dark purple suit, with a black tie. He was around 5'10, with obsidian black hair, and light hazel colored eyes. He had tan skin, and not a single bruise or blemish on his body.
"Hey boss, we completed the task you assigned us. 50 different species of Pokémon, I would say this batch was a little bit special. We got some REALLY big subjects, plus we got a little surprise for you."
"A surprise? For me? Well, I'm grateful, but can you please inform me what my surprise is?"
Ian and Bart both looked at each other and smiled, before both turning towards their boss.
"We got you a human test subject." They both said in unison.
The man in the suit then flashed the widest grin imaginable, while licking his lips simultaneously. For a second, his eyes seemed to have a dark halo around them, but it quickly disappeared. The man turned away from the observation window, and looked at the two men. He then slowly began clapping and walking towards them, getting closer by the second. Suddenly he stopped, right in front of the two.
"Well done, I knew it was the right decision to hire you both! You seem to carry out instructions very well, and perform even better! To show my gratitude, I'll double your pay for this batch!" After stating this, the mouths of the duo fell straight into the floor.
"R-really?! Thank y-you sir! We kindly appreciate this gift!" said Bart with amazement.
"You won't regret this boss, just keep on sending in tasks, and we'll complete them!" Ian said excitedly.
Their boss just simply chuckled and dismissed them with a quick wave of his hand.
"Don't you two worry. Now go transfer the batch to the holding cells, and then you two can have the rest of the day off. Good work you two."
The two workers then left the room, leaving the man alone to himself.
"A human test subject. Now I haven't conducted any experiments on another human for a while now. I can't wait for the different outcome."
He then proceeded to walk back to his sofa, only to lazily fall down on it, lost in his excitement for the upcoming tests.
4 Hours Later:
We find Brendan laying alone and unconscious in a cage, in a room full of other cages that are filled with all of the other different Pokémon that were taken from the Safari Zone. Each, and every one of the Pokémon were trying their hardest to get out of the cages, each failing miserably. Some even tried using moves, but even those didn't seem to have any effect on the cages. After a while, Brendan began to stir from his sleep.
"...Ugh... what happened? Ow, my head. Was I in a car crash? No... that's not it. Oh, now I remember."
His eyes snapped wide open, suddenly realizing the dangerous situation he was in. He sat up, wiping his eyes, and began to focus on his bizarre surroundings he was very unfamiliar with. He was in some sort of cage, in a big dark room, almost like a warehouse, that was filled with other cages that were occupied by all sorts of different Pokémon. The adrenaline in his body began to pump through his body as he heard all of the different cries of Pokémon that knew they were doomed to a terrible fate.
"I have to get out. What kind of cage is this?"
The cage seemed to be made up of some metallic substance which was smooth, and felt cool to the touch. It also felt somewhat... slippery, so he couldn't get any good grip on it at all. He tried pulling, pushing, kicking, biting, punching, but nothing seemed to make the cage dent, or break at all. In fact, not a single scratch showed in the spotless cage at all. Disappointed, and somewhat discouraged, Brendan sat down and looked around at the other Pokémon. He noticed some of them trying to burn their way through, but to no avail.
"So Pokémon moves don't work on these cages either, huh. Who could afford to make these kind of cages, they must've cost a fortune! Whoever it is, I'll make sure to kick his ass when I get out of here." He thought, a small grin appearing on his face, which disappeared almost immediately.
Minutes seemed like hours, and Brendan couldn't tell what time it was, he never wore a watch anyways. It didn't seem like to long though, before a door opened, and 5 people total entered the room. Four of them appeared to be body guards, since they all wore stone faced expressions, and had rifles on their backs, and the fifth person seemed to be the one they were guarding. The four bodyguards spread out, so that the fifth one could walk in front of them. Brendan immediately noticed that there was some sort of presence about him, almost like he instinctively knew that the mysterious man had a played a big part in the incident at the Safari Zone.
The man walked into the middle of the giant room, and with a snap of his fingers, caused the entire room to go dead silent. It was scary, the large space and the lack of noise caused Brendan's mind to start to go a little wonky. It was torture, the silence that had engulfed the entire room. He had to put a stop to it, or he would go insane. Being the first one to break the silence, he yelled:
"Who are you, and why did you kidnap all of these innocent creatures?"
The man only grinned and looked towards Brendan's direction.
"I see our human friend has awoken. I was getting worried that you wouldn't wake up for another day or two. Oh, were are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dominick Thaddeus, but you may call me Dominick. I am the proud owner of a secret experimental facility, called SAVANT, and our specialty is the experimenting on live test subjects to discover new ways to enhance human life. In other words, we test on live Pokémon, and sometimes humans, to see if we can alter physical and mental qualities for the better. Oh, it's for a good cause, I assure you. In fact, we cured the first ever patient who was paralyzed from polio. You should have seen his smiling face when he started to walk again. Of course, results like that come at a cost, and unfortunately those are the lives of Pokémon and humans that are used during the tests. But, I'm willing to pay the price needed to help countless others in need."
Brendan couldn't believe what he was hearing. This man was crazy. He was insane. He needed to be stopped.
"But can't you see that these Pokémon are innocent? They were just living their normal lives, only to be taken to some evil place, where they will for certain be killed? Do you know how much pain you're inflicting in this hell?!"
Brendan's anger level was rising. How could this man be so stupid? How could he not see? Of course it's okay to help find a cure for life changing diseases, but not on the behalf of healthy, living beings. Dominick just shook his head, chuckling.
"I see. So that's your point of view on the works of SAVANT. *sigh* I was really hoping you would understand. But, it appears you don't, so I'll just take some subjects and begin the testing. Don't want to rile you up anymore. Bring me the two largest subjects!"
With a snap of his fingers, the guards walked down the aisles of Pokémon before stopping somewhere behind Brendan. He then heard a lot of clicking and mechanical whirring before seeing the guards walk back towards Dominick. Then, from below Brendan, two cages on what seemed to be two rows of wheels followed the group. Brendan couldn't see what kind of Pokémon they were, but it didn't matter to him. He wouldn't let any of the innocent Pokémon suffer this horrific fate.
"WWAAAAIIITTT!!!" Brendan screamed at the top of his lungs. This caused Dominick to freeze and slowly turn around, the expression on his face looking slightly annoyed.
"What do you need, Brendan, was it? We've got you profiled, from where you live to what school you go to, so don't ask questions on how I know certain information, it's all from online."
"...If I volunteer, could you swap out the two test subjects for me? It will give them a little bit more time to live. And, that way you can perform whatever test you want on me. Didn't you say that you haven't tested on a human in a while? Well, now's your chance, or I might very well kill myself before you get the chance to use me as your little lab rat."
Dominick's eyes glowed briefly, showing his hidden excitement for only a couple of seconds. Finally! He'd be able to perform the test he'd been dying to try out.
"Very well then. Guards, go get his cage. Then, put these two back were they came from."
With a quick "Yes Sir!" from the four, they all walked towards were Brendan's cage was. Then, they all pulled out some kind of remote, and pushed a series of buttons on each one. Brendan then heard the same mechanical sounds from before, but this time he could feel them too. The cage rose in the air slightly, and suddenly Brendan was rolling towards Dominick. The cage stopped by the other two cages, and Brendan immediately noticed the two Pokémon in them.
One cage had a Dragonite in it, its big yellow body took up most of the cage. It looked rather scared, and for a brief moment, their eyes met. The Dragonite quickly looked away, as though he had done something wrong. The other cage held a quite angry looking Garchomp, its dark yellow eyes staring daggers into Dominick and the body guards. Now it was their turn to make eye contact, but the Garchomp was much more confident than the Dragonite. The Garchomp gave a small nod to Brendan, as if saying "Thanks for the extra time". Brendan gave a quick small nod as well, and before the two Pokémon were wheeled away, he mouthed the phrase "Break free!" which caused both Pokémon to look at each other with wide eyes. How in the world were they going to break free?
(In the lab):
"Alright, don't give me trouble, ya' hear pipsqueak?"
"Hey, I'm average height, so shut your damn mouth."
"What did you say to me you little shit?!"
The guard was about to reach back and smack some sense into Brendan before Dominick appeared in the room.
"If you touch him, I will personally make you my next test subject."
The guard cringed at this and backed off without a word.
"The tests must really be some sort of hell, if it makes jumbo over here cry like a little bitch."
Brendan was then led to one of those reclining patient chairs (the kinds you see at the dentist), except this one had many different leather strap restraints on it. It also had some sort of bin taped to the back of the head rest, which strangely had a huge hole in it. Brendan reluctantly sat down in the chair, before being strapped in by the guards.
"Better start praying now, kid. No one has ever survived one of these tests."
Brendan gulped, fear definitely starting to make itself known inside of Brendan. He frantically looked around, trying to find some sort of distraction, but was only met with the sound of Dominick's voice.
"Thank you for so eagerly volunteering for this test. I will admit, I never expected this, and I'm quite excited to see the results of this test. Fun fact, did you know that humans use about only 10% of the brain's full capacity? Imagine what would happen if we reached 100%. The world would be a different place, a much, much different place. We can achieve this through science. The test subject, in this case you, will be given a series of injections filled with some formulas scientists here have created, which should allow your brain's capabilities to multiply. We're monitoring your body's health from heart condition, to brain activity."
Dominick slowly walked towards Brendan with a vaccine in his hand. But he then quickly turned around, and faced his bodyguards.
"But before we begin, guards, go get the Dragonite and Garchomp and prepare them for tests."
Brendan's eyes widened at this.
"I thought you said you'd give them some extra time! That's not fair, you lied!"
Dominick only grinned devilishly.
"All is fair in the field of science."
With that, Dominick than thrusted the vaccine into Brendan's throat. When he pulled the vaccine out, he patiently waited for any signs of changes.
"Do you notice anything different?" he asked with a grin.
"Umm, not really-"
Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a sudden pain right around his temples. At first, it was just a small headache, but it soon evolved into a head throbbing migraine.
"My... h-head...it h-hurts so much!" Brendan screamed.
Something was wrong, he could feel it. He felt his mind changing, his thoughts felt like they were being altered, and he felt a strange sensation, a mixture of pain, and fatigue. He didn't know what was going on, but the pain had spread from his temples to his entire body. His face felt like it was on fire. The ceiling was a sleek black material, and Brendan could see his reflection crystal clear. His eyes looked like they were blood red, and started to lose feeling in his limbs. All of a sudden, he was thrashing out, every single one of his limbs in a spastic fit. At the same time, his lungs tightened up and he couldn't breathe.
"Is this what it feels like to die? I'm going to die, aren't I. It... hurts."
How Brendan was still able to think, he didn't know, all he knew is that death was just around the corner. Unable to think anymore, he blacked out.
(7 hours later):
Brendan opened his eyes slowly only to find himself still strapped down to the operation chair.
"Congrats kid, you're the first human to ever survive one of these tests. Dominick thinks it's because of your age, and your high metabolism rate, or something. I don't know, I'm just the bodyguard."
Brendan looked around the room, feeling very slow and heavy, as if he had been drugged. His head still hurt, but definitely not as much as before, and for some strange reason, he could think crystal clear as well.
"I should also congratulate you on being the first ever recorded human to have reached an 11% brain capacity. So, how does it feel?" said the bodyguard as het turned to look at Brendan.
"My head sucks, and I feel like I've been drugged, but for some reason I can think crystal clear. Did the experiment had anything to do with this?"
"Yeah, the drugs 'opened up your brain'. Basically, you have probably the most sensitive brain of all humankind. Good luck with that, because before you learn how to control it, your life is going to be a living hell."
Brendan groaned, and tried to move. Unfortunately he was still bound down, but he could finally turn his head a little. He noticed on a little table next to him were a bunch of wicked looking tools, including lots and lots of surgical knives. He knew he had to get out, and soon saw his exit, an air vent in the ceiling. All of a sudden, something in his mind clicked, he immediately knew what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. It was very creepy to him, especially since he came up with his plan all by himself. He needed to get away, and the bodyguard was the only thing stopping him. He knew he had to get rid of him. He had to kill him.
"H-hey, my throat is really dry. Can I get a glass of water p-please?"
The guard just rolled his eyes.
"Oh, alright. Just be glad I'm the generous type."
He then grabbed a little plastic cup and filled it with tap water from a sink in the room. He then walked over to Brendan.
"Open wide kid."
"Can you sit me up? Wouldn't want me to choke, now would you?"
The guard only gave a slight grunt of discomfort before slowly raising Brendan's chair. In doing so, the straps on Brendan's wrists loosened just enough so he could slip them out of the straps. He acted like they were tight, and the guard fell for it.
"Hey, I think I just saw someone outside of the door. He was pointing at you. Tall, glasses, purple suit?"
The guard then instinctively walked towards the door.
"Oh, hey boss I was just watching over the kid like you told me to."
While he was distracted, Brendan quickly grabbed a surgical knife, and cut loose his legs, feet, and upper body. He softly stepped onto the ground, knife in hand. But before he could react, the guard quickly spun around, seeing right through his little plan.
"Why, you little shit. Pretty clever move with the water. *sigh*, unfortunately, because you disobeyed, I'm going to have to punish you. I'm sure a bullet wound to the foot won't be that bad."
He then pulled the rifle off of his back, aiming it at Brendan. It was this that caused Brendan to snap. He quickly kicked the little tool tray up in the air, and threw it at the guard. Confused for only a couple of seconds, the guard quickly regained his composure, but Brendan only needed a couple of seconds. The guard felt a burning sensation in his left arm, only to see that Brendan had made a huge gash in his bicep. The pain was enough for him to get disoriented, giving Brendan the chance to knock the rifle out of his hands. Once that was done, in a quick forward jump, Brendan lodged the surgical knife deep in the guard's solar plexus area. The guard gave gasped, before stumbling backwards and falling on his bottom.
"Heh...*wheeze* you got me...*cough*. God job kid."
"Sorry, no hard feelings. I shouldn't have done anything to drastic, just some major muscle and skin tears. No punctured organs hopefully. Just make sure you stop the bleeding, or you won't last the next two hours.
Brendan climbed on top of the surgical chair, and undid the vent grate.
"Oh, and one more thing, next time, don't turn the prisoner into a living weapon. How ironic would it be if I ended up being the downfall of SAVANT? Now that would be funny."
Brendan gave a quick salute, before glancing around the room one last time. He noticed something by the screen showing his body's current state. He got back down on the ground and slowly made his way over to the mystery gadget. The device was a flat little black console, with a screen on it that showed a picture of Brendan, and a brain next to it that had an 11% inside of it. Brendan pocketed it before quickly jumping into the vents, making his escape.
It seemed like Brendan had been in the vents for hours, before making his first big discovery. While crawling in the vents, he had heard the cries of the trapped Pokémon, and decided it was time to bust them out. Once he located the room, he kicked out the vent grate, and silently hopped down onto the floor. Quickly noticing his surroundings, he realized that all the cages were controlled by a podium that was being controlled by two guards. He had to make a distraction, and soon he had a good idea on how to do it. He went to the far back of the room, and located a cage with a chatot in it. It took a while, but he finally got the message through to the chatter Pokémon. He then grabbed the vent grate and ran to the opposite side of the room, where he stood on top of a different cage. He gave a thumbs up, and all of a sudden, the chatot started making these crazy loud screaming noises. It caught one of the guard's attention, and he went all the way back to check it out. While the guard was back with the chatot, Brendan then threw the grate as hard as he could on the opposite side of the room. The second guard immediately noticed, quickly grabbing his rifle. He then ran off towards the grate was thrown. Brendan took his chance, and made a full on sprint towards the podium. He got there safely, and in no time, had located the switch to open up the cages. He then pulled the switch, proud at how far he had succeeded in his plan, and hit the door that opened up the only entrance and exit of the room. Brendan had never witnessed a Pokémon stampede before, that was until today. He had to run to not get trampled on by the oncoming wave of Pokémon, eager to escape. He didn't worry about the other SAVANT workers that spotted him, for they were soon either dodging a stampede, or were getting trampled. By this point, there were alarms blaring, but it didn't matter. All that matters was getting out. Brendan found the tunnel which led to the secret elevator. Once there, he waited for all the Pokémon to get in, before sprinting towards the elevator.
"There's a button on the wall there, hurry someone push it!" Brendan frantically yelled as he was running towards the elevator.
Fortunately, a Swampert understood and hit the button. Brendan quickly hopped on, wishing that the elevator would go faster.
"Come on, come on, come on! Go! Oh shit, someone's coming!"
As soon as he said that the two guards from the room with the cages came bursting through the tunnel door on the other side.
"Hey! Freeze! You are in violation of SAVANT's regulations!"
"Oh yeah? Well you can stick those regulations up each other's ass, 'cuz we're breaking out!" Brendan's statement was then followed by pumped up cries from the other Pokémon.
That seemed to strike a chord with the two guards, because before the elevator had lifted them above ground (damn, slow elevator) they had pulled out their rifles and began shooting. Brendan felt a searing pain in his left leg, has he knew he had been struck by a bullet. Thankfully, the elevator finally reached the top. Most of the Pokémon fled in an instant, but Brendan had to painfully get up, and limp/run back to the road. He didn't know where he was, other than he was in a forest. AS soon as everyone left, Brendan heard the elevator start to descend again, and he heard the angry shouts of the guards.
"Shit, I'm not gonna make it with this damn leg. Fuck! Just my luck huh?" he thought sarcastically.
Brendan limped over to a tree and hid behind it. Thinking he had enough time, he checked his wound. The bullet had only struck muscle, but it was still a deep wound, and if not treated soon, his leg might have to be amputated. With a new purpose driving him, he began to limp along the road, blood seeping through his pants, which he surprisingly still had on. I his clothes seemed to have been washed and dried, which was pretty weird to Brendan. It didn't matter that much to him at the time though, all he wanted was to get back to civilization. It wasn't until he heard a car engine in the background that he knew he was in trouble. He took a quick glance backwards, only to be met with the crazy white van rushing at him. With a painful cry, he jumped off the side of the road, tumbling down a steep hill. He hit a tree at the bottom with a painful scream. He kept going though, he got up and hobbled deeper into the forest. He could hear voices and knew they were gaining on him.
"No...*gasp* must keep going."
He didn't make it long before he succumbed to the pain, falling on all fours. It was here that he began sobbing silently.
"No, I don't want to go back, no..."
He heard a twig snap, and turned around only to be met with a guard.
"Tsk, tsk, looks like someone's been naughty."
He pulled out a gun, and aimed it at Brendan's head. Brendan's heart was beating faster than it had ever before. He closed his eyes and waited for death, but he kept waiting. And waiting. At first, he thought the guard was being a major dick, and was waiting for him to open his eyes to kill him. But, right before he opened his eyes, there was a cry, and a bright flash. Brendan's eyes snapped open, only to see the guard lying unconscious on the ground, and a Dragonite standing between Brendan and the guard. He gave a quick look back towards Brendan, and shot a small grin. Staring in disbelief, Brendan tried to stand up, but was immediately pushed back down softly by the Dragonite. The Dragonite inspected his paw, only to find blood on it. He then looked back at Brendan, noticing his wound. His eyes widened, shocked at the trauma, but he quickly snapped back to reality, and let loose a strange cry. They waited for a couple of seconds, before they heard a rustling in the bushes. Then, out of nowhere, the Garchomp from before burst through, coming to a sliding halt. The Dragonite and Garchomp began speaking in their native tongue, Dragonite gesturing towards Brendan's wound, and the Garchomp nodding as if he understood.
"W-what are you guys do- whoa!"
Before he could finish, Brendan was lifted into the air by the Garchomp, who then took off at neck breaking speed back onto the road. Once there, the Garchomp began running down the road opposite to where the lair was. Brendan didn't fail to notice the Dragonite flying above them, making sure they went the right direction. It was at this time that Brendan started to lose consciousness from all of the action, and blood loss, and before he could stop himself, he fell into a deep troublesome sleep, while the two dragons watched over him.
(Back at SAVANT):
"You let them escape! No words can describe how mad I am at the lot of you. Do you know how much you all get paid? It's definitely higher than the average worker's wage. I want you to find the little shit, and kill him. We cannot have ANY witnesses do you understand me? Get to work." Said a very angry Dominick as he slammed his phone down onto the receiver.
"Nobody messes with Dominick Thaddeus and gets away with it. Nobody. I'll be seeing you around, Brendan."
Those were the last words he said, before leaning back on his sofa, and watched the empty glass, mocking him of how he let a batch of Pokémon slip away.
