Rikomoto, Riko for short, is a blue spotted German Shepherd, starting his new job at a dildo factory. On the steps to the building, he comes across his first friend: a husky by the name of Kaito.

Part 1: Hi
It couldn't be that bad. The words had been echoing in my head as I walked up the steps, while my heart was racing, and paws were trembling. I allowed myself to say it aloud, "It's not gonna be that bad!" My eyes shut and I grit my teeth, the entire area around me going dark and silent. Then, from my shoulder, I felt a weight rest upon it.
"Hey, you all right?" The combination of the touch and the gentle, baritone voice snapped me back into reality.
"Huh? What?" I said as I shook my head. I looked around, the building--at least ten stories high--was still in front of me, and I was still at its steps. While behind, from where the husky who helped me from out of my daze came, was a small quad area set up around a small water fountain.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," said the grey and white husky, paws on his hips. One look at his dress suit was enough to make me uneasy about my own 'shabby' attire.
I looked away from his half blue, half green eyes and said, "No, no! You didn't do anything like that... It's just, um, I got caught up in a bad day dream is all."
"Really? Can't say I've ever heard of one of those... Wait a minute!" His eyes went up and down, looking me over. My tail twitched uneasily as I waited for him to finish. "Aren't you the new guy?"
"Y-yeah..." I bit my bottom lip, refusing to let my tail hide between my legs.
He let out a jolly laugh. "Hah! I thought so! Not every day you see a blue shep around these parts." I backed away subconsciously and he leaned closer, holding a paw out to me. "Sorry, I can't help myself. Your coat is so fluffy!"
With a muted sigh, I flattened my ears and offered my head to him, which he gave a soft pat. As his claws ran through my fur, my leg twitched and my muscles relaxed. Mmm...that's nice...
"There ya go," he said with a grin. "So, what's your name, spotty?"
"Rikomoto Sheroshimi."
"Man!" He took two steps back, shaking his head a little. "That's a mouthful."
"Yeah," I said with a nervous chuckle. "Most people just call me 'Riko' for short."
He stuck out his paw and said, "Name's Kaito Darksnow. Great to meet ya."
I smiled and took his paw in mine, giving it a firm shake. "So, uh, I'm supposed to be interning or something. This is my first job and I wasn't expecting to get it, so..."
Kaito patted me on the shoulder. "Don't worry about that, I'll show you where all the fresh meat is, just follow me."
I nodded to him and he walked ahead of me, his tail swaying to the right and the left as he walked. In an effort to keep a more unified look, I copied him, trying to make my twitchy tail sway as effortlessly as his.
We were quiet as we walked up the steps, but once we reached the top, I felt inclined to say, "Th-thanks by the way..."
He looked back and asked, "Mmm...for what?"
"For, you know, helping me out and stuff."
He chuckled. "No need, pup." 'Pup?' "We were all interns once, right? Someone has to be...well, the guy who isn't that douche who makes you fetch coffees for him all morning." Kaito shivered briefly, then shook more violently to snap himself out of it. "Anyway, welcome to Knots 'n Co."
