A Delicious Enemy

It was yet another dark, gloomy night for young Gaela Crowfeather, a tauren of Thunder Bluff, and an avid hunter in the prime of her youth. She was riding her Kodo mount, a massive reptile with thick leathery skin that ranged in color from sandy brown to black. Hers was a dark grey breed, with a slight brown hue to its skin.
She was out on a patrol across the Southern Barrens, a torch in her left hand to illimuinate the path around her, while she steered her beasts with her right. The cool air of the black night brissled her bare fur, causing her discomfort wherever her fur uniform did not protect. The Barrens nights were cold, and she was frigid. She came towards the Dustwallow Marsh, steering her beast towards it. She was supposed to check the roads between Desolation Hold and the outpost Brackenwall Village, where the Horde movements in the marshland surrounded. It was their only foothold into the Alliance-controlled region, and as Theramore expanded it's teritory, it was much more vital that security tightened.
Gaela suddenly tensed, glancing around on her beast. She was sure she had heard something. But what? She stopped her mount, patting on it to signal her command, and cautiously got off. She put the torch down, placing it carefully in a stone holster behind her seat, and drew her bow from her back. She aimed into the night. Something moved. She shot her arrow. She heard a scream of pain suddenly, indicating she had managed to land a hit on her target, whatever it was. The scream was certainly not of a Horde traveler... It sounded human. It must have been an Alliance scout. She headed over to her victim, motioning for her kodo to stay where it was while she checked what she had struck.
It was indeed an Alliance scout - a human from Theramore, or at least what was left of it. It must have been from Northwatch Hold, or perhaps Honor's Stand. Either way, the human was in Horde territory, and would pay for their foolishness. Gaela picked up her victim, carrying it back to her kodo, a smile on her face. She set the human down, beginning to remove the armor. There was no need to let it go to waste - aside from the tabard, Gaela would burn that. Then seeing the human naked, Gaela came to the conclusion that it was a male. He was lithe, and not very well muscled, but seemed to be quite agile. Apparently he hadn't known the strength in using his agility...
Gaela put the poor man infront of her kodo, smiling to the beast. "Eat up."
Suddenly the kodo engulfed the man whole, causing him to stir. He had knocked himself unconscious as her arrow struck him... The kodo didn't chew, instead opting to swallow the meal whole, quickly engulfing the human and swallowing, not leaving any time to savor the food. It wasn't the time or place for that - just to get rid of the body. And so the pair moved on once again, Gaela taking her torch back in hand and leading her beast to Brackenwall Village, where they could rest, resupply, and Gaela could let her kodo sleep of his latest meal.
